Opening this spring, Kaia will offer handrolls and chef pairings including specialties such as lobster truffle, blue crab and bluefin tuna, and classic and vegetarian options. The countertop venue will display AI-generated artwork depicting powerful female characters. Kaia will sell seasonal sashimi and dishes like Japanese Caesar salad with furikake-parm crisp, mochi, and Japanese cheesecake with passionfruit caramel. The beverage menu will have Japanese beer and whiskey. A to-go window will have chirashi bowls with rice, fish, and vegetables." - Janna Karel

STUNNING SUSHI EXPERIENCE 🌟 Just a couple of locals wandering in for a sweet escape from the outside city world I was so excited that there is a Sushi joint in Area 15 👽 🍣 my expectations were high because I’m a Sushi Snob per se and they did not disappoint! Oh my stars! The tea and sake were both so lovely. Everything we ordered was out of this world! Toooo die for flavors! The Signature Roll had the best Caviar I’ve ever had on it! The ambience and vibes are radical! The service was so super great! Everyone including the Servers Bartenders Chefs and Hostess were friendly and checked up on us regularly. We cannot wait to return!

Google
We stopped by since we had 2 free hand rolls included with our Area 15 package. The California Rolls were great. We also had a Yuzu Sparkler which was good but not much alcohol in it.

Inside area 15. You do not have to pay to go in and experience some fun shopping, good restaurants, and great drinks at the huge bar located in the center across from KAIA! Totally come enjoy some really good, crisp & fresh bowls or rolls. Super hip, very professional staff. We enjoyed some savory (build your own) Kaia bowls for a small lunch. Everything was so fresh! Even the water was delicious!

Was disappointed when we waited 30 mins and we ended up with different seats from the other people in our group. Come to find out they were out of some stuff on the menu as well. Portion wize I was even more disappointed at that point lol. For what it cost idk how I feel about it.

Google
Kaia is a premium for anyone who is looking for good sushi and sashimi. Trying several different sushi rolls and the yellowfin sashimi, the food tastes as good as it looks. While this might not be the “for the whole family” kind of restaurant, if you want a good meal made with true artistry, supplemented with a smart adult beverage… look no further. And for what it's worth, you're not going to break the bank either. Did I mention, it is settled right in the middle of Area 15? Have a bite, and then get right back out there.

Google
This is my second time here and I cannot get over how amazing the food is! The staff has been fantastic as well, always willing to answer questions, friendly, and knowledgeable! The food is out of this world, never in my life have I had such delicious sushi. It honestly melts in your mouth! So if you’re a sushi connoisseur or a rook, you’ll fall in love.

Google
Captive audience here, it's not the greatest but it's acceptable. Chili crisp wonton missing actual chili crisp, and the woodend noodles could use some hot chili condenent to balance the yakisoba sweetness. But all in all it's okay. Drinks are great with the jasmine cooler having a palpable tea flavor without overblown by sweetness.

Google
Excellent quality of handrolls. Rice was good, seaweed was crispy, made to order one by one. The chef waited for us to finish and provide us the next handrolls from the sets. We enjoyed the yellow tail and blue crab so much that we decided to get a rice bowl with these after the hand rolls. Fish was fresh and tasty. Green tea was good quality in an individual pot with loose leaf. I was planning to order the ramen but they ran out as it was their first day offering it. Friendly service overall. It has exceeded our expectations as the rolls were done traditionally.

Yelp
We went here before meow wolf because we were starved. We got poke bowls; lots of options for add ons, but my partner did not get all she wanted for some reason. The only seats are at the bar but we still had to flag people down for what we wanted. Poor chefs are out in the open so we think we were talking to a cook for some reason. Look at the videos for how cool the restaurant is! The chairs are hella uncomfortable. Stools only at the bar. The food tasted fresh! We got too many sauces on our bowls so they had a modge podge of flavors and we had to ask for more rice. Overall tasty, but we probably will opt for different options if we have the opportunity.

Yelp
Tucked inside the vibrant and eclectic Area 15, Kaia feels like stepping into a colorful anime world! The atmosphere is lively and fun, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a variety of Asian dishes. For a light lunch, my friend and I opted for the 3 Roll Set, featuring blue crab, salmon, and spicy tuna hand rolls. Each roll was incredibly fresh and delicious, though a bit modest in size for the price. We also scored a free California Hand Roll with our Area 15 tickets, which was a nice bonus! The real standout for me was the Chili Shrimp Wonton - it was bursting with flavor and served warm. If we didn't have dinner plans later, I would have definitely ordered more of these tasty bites. To top it off, I tried their Lychee Blossom cocktail. It was refreshingly light and not too sweet, giving me a pleasant buzz. Kaia is definitely a great place to check out for a light lunch!

Yelp
We started with the pork buns, they were decent but nothing special. A friend had the ramen and after having Ramen Boys the day before, it didn't hit the spot or have much flavor. The drinks were good, specifically the Yuzu Sparkler. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fish in my Kaia bowl. Got it with salmon, scallops, and tuna and it tasted really fresh. There was too much sauce so it made the rice at the bottom of the bowl really wet. It's fun to build your own bowl with the selection of toppings. $4 per protein really isn't bad at all. I'd go back for another bowl or try some of the hand rolls TLDR - build your own poké bowls are good. Skip the buns and ramen.

Valerie Y.

Yelp
Kaia is a fun spot to grab a bite between Area15 activities. We ate there twice during our visit and service was friendly and pretty quick. At noon we had a 10 minute wait before being seated, at around 4pm there was no wait. I'm not a huge sushi fan but the rest of my party is- and we all really liked it! They make their own wasabi and everything was made well. When we dined there were no dumplings or soups on the menu- only sushi & poke bowls. Cocktails are fun but cost more than they're worth, but are in line with drinks at the rest of Area 15.

Alicia W.

Yelp
We were seated quickly and greeted warmly. The atmosphere is interesting. The bar stools were not super comfy especially for someone my height (5'2). We tried the BBQ buns, 2 specialty rolls and ramen-all delicious.

Scott T.

Yelp
Better than Hells Kitchen 10 out of 10 best Sushi. loved it so much it's our second visit today.

Lea D.

Yelp
Part of the Area 15 pass includes a roll from Kaia so we decided to have our lunch here, as well. It was a cute neon place tucked into Area 15 and busy but still had some seats available. The servers were nice. The roll was meh but the bowls were really good. You could basically pick all the ingredients you wanted to make it really customizable. It was decently filling too!

Tim T.

Yelp
Excellent Japanese and Chinese food in an ultra-awesome and stylish decor complete with anime wallpaper within Area15. Their shumai, poke, and soup dumplings were bomb, and their berry dessert donut thing was great. My time was limited there and they did a good job with preparing my food quickly, but next time I will stay there longer and also check out the rest of the premises including Omega Mart and Meow Wolf. Highly recommended!

Thanh N.

Yelp
Kaia is located inside Area 15, an entertainment facility near the Las Vegas Strip. I believe the main building is accessible without cost, but other activities inside require purchase. The decor of Kaia is very retro and it features bar seating. The staff was very pleasant and friendly, and the service was relatively quick. We decided to get their Signature Sharable ($88) for two, and it was a lot of food! Japanese Caesar Salad: 4.5/5. Very solid Caesar salad and the little circular fried bits were a super crunchy and satisfying addition. Tonkotsu Spicy Pork Ramen: 4/5. Broth was both umami and flavorful but still very light, and pork pieces were tender and smoky. Ramen noodles were well-cooked, but I would say that the ratio of noodles to everything else was a bit much. Spicy Tuna Handroll: 5/5. Yes. Yellowtail and Yellowfin Tuna Sashimi: 5/5. Deliciously fresh and generous with the thick cuts. Tuna Poke Stack Crisp: 5/5. Our favorite item--crunchy, savory, and saucy. Pork Shu Mai Dumplings: 3/5. Good, but the wrappers were a bit thick and the filing was not as compact for my liking. Shrimp Shu Mai Dumplings: 3.5/5. Same as above, but I appreciated the generous amount of shrimp inside. BBQ Pork Steamed Buns: 3/5. The BBQ pork was yummy, but the ratio of filling to dough was off. Ube Cheesecake: 4/5. I am not a huge fan of cheesecake, but this was very good--not too sweet and very light. Minus points for ube powder sprinkled on top and calling it ube cheesecake though.

Yelp
This was the perfect food option to have in Area 15, especially since you find too many burger and pizza options around Vegas, and not enough alternatives or healthy choices. This was fast, efficient, and super delicious! We got the carry out bowl to eat in the seating area. You order on the ipad and pick your type of rice, protein, sauce, and toppings, then pay and they bring it right out to you in the window. The bowl had crab, salmon, veggies and sauce. It was so fresh, delicious and flavorful. A really good value for a town where to food is overpriced and mediocre. This was amazing. If we had this place near us, we would eat here often, it was that good. I know I will crave this bowl! If you like sushi or poke, this was a perfect snack or meal.

Yelp
I needed some lunch after going to omega mart and before going to the airport, and the Kaia bowl didn't seem too expensive so I decided to try. I asked for a seat (I was alone) and the hostess walked me to the bar and handed me a menu. So far so good. Then I was basically ignored for a shocking long time as I saw the waitress help everyone around me, in addition to several people who came in after me. Really not sure why? Luckily, one of the bartenders finally decided to notice me, and came and got me water and luckily was able to take my order quite quickly. I got the Kaia bowl with scallops and spicy tuna and everything on it. My food luckily came out quite quickly. It was overall not bad? The seafood portion was generous, but I did not like the kimchi and it was a bit too heavy handed on edamame, but requesting both these items was my choice; I'd mostly avoid the kimchi in the future. For dessert I got the matcha Mochi. I had wanted the ube cheesecake but sadly they were out. At this point the waitress had finally acknowledged me to check in on me. I got the check after I was done, and was on my way. Overall, not a bad place, the staff who did acknowledge me were incredibly sweet, but not a great experience for me.

Marcella F.

Yelp
Delicious! We hit Kaia up after leaving Omega Mart. Delicious food and great prices. The food comes out fast and is rolled up right in front of you. The bowls are great and extra veggies don't cost any extra. Great service t Notes: get a couple rolls, they're only about $6.00 and go down fast. The noodle bowls can practically feed 2! Unlimited soda refills is a plus. Definitely try it. It's great.

Alex Z.

Yelp
This cute little sushi bar is perfect for small groups. It was a bit tough with 5 people, but we made it work and staff was accommodating. Food was delicious. We got the ube croissant thing, California hand roll, veggie roll, mochi (both strawberry and mango-- strawberry was best), shrimp shumai, peanut chili shrimp wontons, asylum stay roll, pork soup dumplings, and the neighborhood beast roll. We inhaled everything as it came out. Service was great, but they forgot the best roll so it took a little longer, but they made it immediately and it was out in minutes and was delicious. They comped the strawberry mochi to make up for it. Still seated and ate within 45 minutes. Overall it was a great experience. We will probably be back next time we visit area 15!

Rakshit P.

Yelp
Was visiting Meow Wolf with my family and decided to try this place for lunch. Went here with an infant and toddler. The server was very helpful in deciding the dish as well as quantity for the kids. I got the salmon handroll while my wife got the veggie equivalent. For the mains we got the shrimp shui mai and veggie potstickers. Everything was very yummy. Even the little one munched on some edamames :D Service was fairly fast. The place might not be an ideal choice if you are coming in with a baby (because of the seating). But we had a good lunch here.

Alex L.

Yelp
Kaia offers some great food options inside Area 15 - tasty and healthy. The decor inside matches the vibe of Area 15, cyberpunk-y kind of vibe, which I loved. Food came out quick and the servers were very friendly. I would definitely recommend if you are visiting Area 15.

Keann H.

Yelp
Solid poke that fulfilled my cravings while at area 15. I was originally drawn to try kaia because there was wafting a wonderful smell from the kitchen. I split a double salmon poke bowl, with various toppings and two sauces. It was actually quite a lot of food for the price, however it wasn't the best poke I had. The fish tasted fresh but I thought the rice was a bit too vinegary and wet, however that may have partly been from the excess poke sauce. It was still tasty enough for me to finish all of it, and I was happy it came with a large portion.

Sam S.

Yelp
I was a bit worried inside Area 15 that all the places would be overpriced or gimmicky foods, but am so glad this was not the case at Kaia. I got a spicy tuna bowl with a little bit of all the sauces and toppings and for only $11 (+tax/tip), I was stuffed and everything was so delicious and fresh.

Edwin S.

Yelp
Sitting in Area 15, there are a few joints you can get some food and beverages from. If you want sushi, Kaia is the spot. There seems to also be an offer for a California hand roll should you get one of the tickets. While it lasts, and should you sit down here and grab a seat for a bite, you won't be disappointed! Taste: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambience: 4/5 Value for Money: 4/5 We had: 1) 4 roll set: Yellowtail, Tuna Poke, Scallop, Spicy Tuna - each were great me well recommended 2) California: Nice and flavourful! The dessert looked great but we didn't end up trying it, an ube cheesecake for $6 is probably a steal! And a beautiful one to boot.

Raquel S.

Yelp
As soon as you walk in you feel like you've stepped into an anime. Or maybe a trendy restaurant in Japan. It's a dope vibe and the decor is what I want my bathroom to look like!. We came in for the dine around promotion, so I only got to try the California hand rolls. Which I've never tried a hand roll before! I've only eaten sliced rolls and sashimi. I wish they gave a selection of other types of roll then just the California roll cuz there were some really amazing looking rolls on the menu! but, what I ate was delicious! Just wanna try more! lol wanna come back to try other menu items

Yaya W.

Yelp
Inside Area 15. Ordered a bowl. It was really good. They also have good drinks. The handroll was also good.

Regina C.

Yelp
Since we got the Level 2 passes, it included a free california roll from Kaia Handroll. We were stoked about it because we were planning to have our dinner there to make travels easier. However, the quality of serving went down the minute we all ordered the free california roll. The workers looked away and never made any conversation with any of us. He also carelessly threw the roll on the plate to the point where it was about to fall apart. It was then that we decided we were going to have dinner elsewhere. The taste of the rolls were also not that great.

Glen L.

Yelp
With only 4 people in the restaurant on a Thursday at 8pm. We couldn't get a drink or food. Had to walk out. The 2 stars is because the lady at the front was outstanding she was a 5 star. She was so nice and you could tell she wanted to help.

Jenna O.

Yelp
This place is inside of Area 15, and I absolutely love handroll spots so you know I had to stop in. With fun artwork all over the walls and bar seating, the sushi environment is something else. We opted to share the 4 roll hand rolls as just a snack since we had plans later in the day but I would have eaten so much more if I had the chance. We came at an off hour and were seated extremely quickly, and served our order super fast as the chef was making the rolls right in front of us. I think the best one was the scallop but we loved it all. Next time in Vegas I will be making my way back here. Hand roll shops are such a fun experience!

Tiffany C.

Yelp
I just want to say I'm so grateful for this sushi spot in Area15! Area 15 gives me EDC vibes and I love it! The Kaia hand roll place was beautifully decorated and thought out well! I love all the different tvs, the Japanese game show definitely had my group and I laughing our butts off. I could've easily spent more money here than the strip! The food was absolutely delicious! All of it was so delicious that we had to tell one another to try some. The server told us we had a QR code and it came with delicious California rolls!I dislike California rolls because they're too plain for me but these ones , these were my favorite! We got the tonkotsu ramen and it had spectacular broth! (Server recommend this and he was right, it's the best!) Not only that but my group and I came on Monday, August 26,2024 and the staff was freaking great! I forgot the hosts name but he was very much appreciated! Once I come back, I'm definitely going back to this place ! peace, love, unity, good food (plug)

Jamie L.

Yelp
I didn't get her name but the girl behind the bar serving and the sushi chef at bar on 11/26@6pm were both super nice, friendly and super attentive!!! We really enjoyed our food and experience here. My 10 year old daughter especially LOVED the CA handrolls. She had 4 of them to herself.. Kept asking us to order more. Also, the mango Jell-O shots were so yummy

Daniela F.

Yelp
We have been to Area15 before but first time trying this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised! We got the seeker pass which included a free Cali hand-roll which was delicious. We ordered the ube cheesecake to try since we had reservations for another restaurant and it was also very good. Service was good and restaurant was ok size but could definitely see a line forming due to limited seating so may have to wait on high traffic days. Overall we enjoyed it and would definitely go back!

Tara H.

Yelp
Brandon the server with the terrible mustache was the RUDEST person. I simply asked him how to redeem our offer after paying 140.00 per person it came with the tickets...and he gave me such attitude, rolled his eyes and just was plain nasty... I asked the bartender to serve us instead, she was great! He was condescending and literally just made the experience super disappointing. If you have a second to check and see how he speaks to your customers I would highly recommend it. 0/10 Although I still stand on Brandon being terrible, I have to change my review because of Peter Vitolo reaching out to make things right. If Brandon had an ounce of Pete's customer service skills this would have never happened. I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to hear what happened and hopefully this will be learning experience for Brandon and he doesn't treat anyone else like trash for having questions.

Princess P.

Yelp
Price of the food is reasonable for inside Area 15. Service is so so -- only one server/staff is paying attention to guests in which they have like at least 8 staffs in there. They can better of their service if they engaged more to their guests.

Ben B.

Yelp
I should have known better, honestly. It's a sushi handroll place in what is essentially a mall, but sadder, in the middle of a psychological and literal desert. The decor was pretty cool and the place was...clean? But the rolls were tiny, unimpressive and overpriced. They were fine for a little snack, but they cost roughly the same as the bigger ones you get from actual restaurants that are not in the desert. The veggie roll was some slices of pickles in rice. Yum yum.

Derek S.

Yelp
Wanted to grab a bite while here at Area 15. Saw this sushi place and it looked good. We were at the barcade so I wanted to get it to go. First off the place is pretty nice has a cool comic like vibe. The wait was 20minutes but there was only 4 people sitting in there. Then the to go theres a little ipad kiosk you place your order at and pay but you can only get a poke bowl to go so that was disappointing. The price wasn't bad it was a decent size. Rice portion was kinda small. The sauce was super salty made it a little hard to finish. Overall was ok. Probably won't do again or will try something different.

Lecia M.

Yelp
Delicious!! My kid enjoyed the food so much he demanded i leave a yelp review. The service was phenomenal and the restaurant its self was a pretty cool experience.

Ben C.

Yelp
Got the 4 roll set. Blue crab, scallop, yellowtail and spicy tuna. Handrolls were fine but the ube cheesecake is where it's at. Presentation is great and the flavor is very rich. $6 for the cheesecake a good value. I would come back for the ube cheesecake.

Sam R.

Yelp
The bowls and handrolls here are IMMACULATE. We also got the pork buns and I enjoyed everything I ate. The service was great, staff were super friendly and we enjoyed our time here. I wish I lived in Vegas because I'd come here weekly.

Izzie B.

Yelp
I was looking forward to eating at Kaia, but I sadly had to turn away. There were absolutely no vegetarian options. As a server myself this made me disappointed because we had to walk out, which isn't fair to the server there that seemed awesome. The vibe was good and the drinks seemed yummy but the lack of options made it impossible for me to eat there.

Sarah K.

Yelp
We were hanging out at Area15 and got a bit hungry so we decided to grab a bite. Unfortunately, we went right when it was their last call and the whole experience felt rushed. Handrolls were TINY. You can barely see what is in the handroll and there is so much seaweed left over. Not comparable to any other handroll bars in Las Vegas or anywhere else, especially at its price point. We thought maybe they were running low on rice, in that case, they shouldn't have sat us. But a few more people were sat down after us and based upon the other reviews/pictures, it looks like this is how they are normally made. There was nothing unique about the sauce set either. If you need to grab a bite while hanging out at Area15, I'd say not worth the money. Try next door or if you're really craving handrolls, go elsewhere.

Barbara S.

Yelp
We had a great time in the restaurant. I had shrimp miso ramen which was very good. My son had a bowl with many toppings. They made it incorrectly and happily fixed it. We also had a coupon for a California roll. It was different. The seaweed was crunchy. Very good. Shy was a darling helpful waitress. Steve was a great manager and made sure everything was ok. Jonas was a cook and very nice. I would suggest going when at Area 15

will d.

Yelp
It's delicious but the Surimi rice choice for the custom bowl is a trap! We got our check at the end and it was +$10 and not just a starting price of $10. Even with the +$10 added to the $7 for rice, we were still charged $25 for what the math added to a $22 item pre tax, tip, or fees.

Baby N.

Yelp
Cute spot inside Area 15 with decent pricing. We were seated promptly. Service was good. Food was however underwhelming. I had the spicy pork ramen. It was not at all spicy and the broth was disappointing. Salmon hand roll was ok.. but did not love the blue crab roll.

Michelle K.

Yelp
Amazing Experience! Delicious Hand-Roll Set Starter and Freshness Sashimi! Beautiful art decor! Obsessed Japanese Cheese Cake

Elmo M.

Yelp
Friendly, efficient service. Tasty hand rolls, great sauces. Wish we had one of these near me!

Todd M.

Yelp
We went to see Omega Mart with the family. Looked up this restaurant on the Area 15 website. My kids love dumplings, Ramen, and Sushi so it sounded perfect. We came for lunch at noon on a Tuesday. There was only 4-6 other parties in the restaurant at any time. Plenty of open seats. The food was outstanding. We had Dumplings, Ramen, Handrolls, and Sushi Bowls. We would definitely come back.

Damian K.

Yelp
This place has the best tasting sushi I've ever had!!! Everything was sensational! Great service added to the total experience! The ambiance was trendy regal and fusion. I'm officially a fan. Ryan help led us to a great taste experience!

Sarah W.

Yelp
My fiancé & I were visiting Area 15 for the first time & were super stoked to see a new sushi/handroll spot that we could stop at for a late lunch. The place was pretty empty, however it was a weird time for lunch (2:30ish on a weekday) & we later found out that Kaia Handroll had only opened a few weeks prior to us visiting. The handrolls tasted great, however we were a little surprised at the size. The were rather small for the price point, it's about 3 bites worth of handroll for around $8 al a carte. Aside from the size of the rolls, everything tasted fantastic which is why I'm still giving 5 stars. I think making the handrolls bigger would be something worth considering moving forward. The service was also awesome, all of the people we came across were super nice. Would love to see some menu expansion in the future, & the handrolls increasing in size would also be awesome. Otherwise we would definitely come back!

Mira S.

Yelp
This is a temaki(handroll) bar similar to Tekka Bar, Nori Bar, Temaki Bar, Kazu Nori, and Sugarfish. When I saw this advertised, I was glad to find this type of handroll place not in a casino. Unfortunately, my experience fell flat. The rolls were extremely skinny compared to the other competitors. I could barely distinguish what fish I was eating cause there wasn't much filling. The rice was not warm like it should be. The seaweed was not as crispy either. I ate them right away too. We both ordered the 3 roll set and then we added a spicy salmon and lobster truffle. The lobster truffle had zero truffle flavor. The truffle handrolls I had at the Cosmo and Aria had truffle flavor unlike the one here. The sauce set for $2 was good but taste just like the one at Cosmo. I spent almost 100 dollars for 8 small handrolls, sauce, 2 sodas, and tip. We were both still starving. I usually get 4 rolls at the other places and I'm full. We had to go to another restaurant afterwards. I really had high hopes for this place but sadly it's competitors have a better product. The interior was really cute though inside and I liked that they give you a wet towel (oshibori) to sanitize your hands to start.

Idella W.

Yelp
This restaurant is located inside Area15, which has free admission. Came to Area15 mainly to experience the Mega Mart but stumbled across this sushi place directly across from the Mega Mart.. I love me a good sashimi, so I had to try it. I tried the Yellowtail & bluefin tuna which were both delicious and fresh. My Aunt had the handroll California roll which she wasn't a fan of mainly due to the imitation crab but also mentioned that her seaweed might have been stale. All the waiters & workers were super nice and accommodating. Service was quick with a nice ambiance. They also offer to go bowls that you can specialize however you please. I'd definitely eat here again when in town.

Lana A.

Yelp
I wouldn't expect much from an establishment that is fine using AI generated images for their wall art. It sends the message that they are fine exploiting artists. I'm a big sushi lover and that alone completely turned me off from wanting to eat there. Edit: Seeing as the owner did not address anything, let me lay it out. AI generated images are not made by humans. Calling the people who generated your images artists is like calling people who order from restaurants chefs. AI generated images in their current form are not ethical. They are made by scraping the internet of artists works without their consent and then machine learning off that dataset to create images. If you paid the people generating those images without knowing this, you sir have been scammed. Anyone can download Dall-E or Midjourney and generate similar images using prompts like "futuristic painterly Asian girl portait". Does not make them artists, and it does not make profiting from those images ethical. I suggest you investigate the growing number of lawsuits against these companies.

Beka G.

Yelp
Cute decor and hand rolls are a nice idea. The waitress was friendly and got the drinks out quickly. The implementation was meh. The tiny rolls came out one at a time very slowly. Might be ok for a party of 2, but as a party of 4 none of us were happy with this model. Every 5 minutes or so 2 people got a bite because we cut the rolls in half....

Blu F.

Yelp
We got duped into eating here... We purchased the Unlimited Pass to Area15 and a Cali Roll was included. The catch is that you have to sit down to eat. Since we had to sit, we might as well eat here. We were on a time crunch. Omega Mart allows you to leave for 2 hours and that's only IF you have a reservation. Otherwise, you will have to pay to get in again if you leave. The waitress was nice and greeted us right away. And then it all went downhill from there. There were four of us. Two of us ordered water, the other two ordered hot green tea. She got our water, took our order, and started the tea. We ordered the Kaia Signature Shareable meal for $88.00. Includes: 2 Japanese Caesar Salads 2 Tonkatsu Spicy Pork Ramen 2 Spicy Tuna Handroll 2 Yellowtail Sashimi 2 Yellowfin Tuna Sashimi 2 Tuna poke Stack Crisp 2 Pork Shu Mai Dumpling 2 Shrimp Shu Mai Dumplings 2 BBQ Pork Steamed Bun 2 Ube Cheesecake The "chef" gave us two Cali Rolls, dropped some noodles in the water, and left. We sat waiting for the other two for about 15 minutes. No one was at the counter and no one came out. Finally, the waitress came back. But she told us that they were out of Yellowtail Sashimi and Yellowfin Tuna Sashimi but could replace them with an extra Spicy Tuna Handroll and an extra handroll of something else (I can't remember what it was). On top of that, they were out of the Ube Cheesecake but would give us mochi ice cream. We asked about the other two Cali Rolls and the tea. The Cali Rolls were small and the nori (seaweed) was soggy. They were like 2 maki worth since the filling didn't even go to the ends. This is the size handrolls we gave our 3-year-olds back in Hawai'i. I know, I know, these handrolls don't need to be cut up...of course they don't, they're already tiny! I might add that the sushi at any gas station in Hawai'i is better than this, and cheaper, too! Anyhow, the food started to be delivered. 2 Japanese Caesar Salad 2 Spicy Tuna Handroll out of 2 Yellow Tail Sashimi out of 2 Yellowfin Tuna Sashimi 2 small & soggy, something handrolls as a replacement for the 4 out of stock Sashimi 2 Very soggy Spicy Pork Ramen since the noodles sat in water for over 30 minutes. Finally asked about the tea. It had to be made again because it was already cold. 3 Pork Shu Mai 3 Shrimp Shu Mai 2 BBQ Pork Bun 1 Tuna Poke Stack Crisp 4 Mochi Ice Cream cut in halves Finally asked for a refill of water Again, we were on a time crunch. The service took almost the whole two hours and we still didn't get everything. We were running out of time and couldn't wait, so we didn't ask. The only time we saw anyone at the counter was to give us food before they disappeared to the back again. It's hard to believe that this place hasn't even been open for a year yet and the service and quality are this poor. Don't bother with your generic reply. I won't waste any more of my time contacting customerservice@area15.com. While we would like to visit Area15 again, we will definitely pass on eating here.

Yelp
The place was empty, I should have realized this place was completely empty for a reason. Staff standing around for bit with nothing do do I even walked around for about 30mins before sitting down for sashimi it was still empty. After sitting down and was told no sashimi was available and order the salmon roll, what we received looked like a spring roll not a sushi roll... Staff is definitely aware of at and attempted to make up for it in kindness and helpfulness. Thank you we appreciated the attentiveness but the food was under par
