"On a recent vacation to the stunning Glacier National Park in Montana, I visited the excellent farmers market in Kalispell, a Saturday-only affair complete with a family bluegrass band. After stocking up on supplies at small, rural grocery stores with limited fresh options, my eyes almost popped out of my head when I saw the bounty: gorgeous fresh eggplants, greens of all kinds, fancy black oyster mushrooms, and samples of an intensely spicy radish kimchi that I still regret not buying. I did end up buying those mushrooms, plus a basket of shishito peppers that we grilled on the patio of our rental cabin right at sunset. Truly a picturesque moment, made sweeter by the massive bear claw pastry studded with huckleberries that my friend and I split for dessert." - Amy McCarthy

Fantastic farmers market. I bought “Slamming Jams” apple butter, it tastes amazing and is a good addition to Peanut butter sandwiches. I Definitely would encourage anyone visiting to try the honey, jelly or apple butter samples at the booths. I purchased some great produce at a couple local organic farms booths. Perfect for juicing at home or BBQ dinners, The baked goods booths are always a fun one to stop at. We enjoyed the many hand crafted booths and always find great gifts to give to our family and friends. Can’t go wrong purchasing from local and family owned businesses.

The farmers market is a wonderful experience that brings people from the community together. It's always nice to see people I know and can catch up with them. The market has a lot of wonderful things for sale ranging from crafts to farm products. I do think live music could be an addition and I also think that the prices for certain items could be cheaper. It doesn't make sense to buy carrots for a dollar or two which is a seasonal item and then look at a wooden train carving that's hundreds of dollars. I personally don't think this is a proper venue that is all. There is a venue called Art in the Park and other festivals throughout the year. Kettle Corn is an amazing snack that my 3 year old son loves! It's great to munch on while wandering through the aisles of assortments. The price for the size of the bag is perfect... 3, 5 or 8 dollars for small medium or large accordingly. I highly recommend trying it. Having trouble saving time for breakfast? No worries the Scandinavian baking corner has you covered! It's an awesome place to sample pancake, pastries, and other pleasantries from Northern Europe. Each Saturday from 9am to Noon you can buy some local cuisine and goods. Definitely worth a summer stop at least once!

This is the place to be on Saturday mornings in the summer. Lots of home-made products, cute items for the house, seedlings, young plants, lots of food, eggs, and honey. Every vendor has an open tent with lots of items to choose from. It takes a couple of hours to walk through if you spend time looking at everything. Parking is never a problem. Bring a cart to load your goodies for easy carry.

We love going to this market when we are in town. We purchased some veggies and a small folding wooden table. Some lovely hand made items are available there too.

What a fun, true farmer market. We bought so great radishes and turnips. Some bake goods with huckleberrys. There were many craft and handmade items as well. There was a coffee vendor and several food carts that we didn't have a chance to try. It was a fun outing.

This is a very fun place. They had lots of gorgeous plants for good prices. Many artists, a little pricey but probably worth it. I love the backery places. Picked up some bread, jelly, sweet and savory rolls. Will let you know what's best as soon as I eat them.

We always love going to the Kalispell Farmer's Market! Such a wonderful variety of items. We bought organic veggies and they were amazing and an organic pepper plant to add to our garden. The sellers are always a pleasure to deal with, friendly and knowledgeable. It's always a great way to start your Saturday morning. 🌻🥦🌞

Good time, good vendors, get the corn dog!

Yelp
After walking the market for almost 10 min we were told that our well behaved Cavalier could not continue on the in market as 'no dogs are allowed.'(She was in a backpack.) Yet other larger breed dogs were allowed to continue to walk in the market, even ones who were barking at people. It's ok to say no dogs allowed, but it needs to be ALL dogs. Not just singling out specific dogs. This was our first time to visit the market as we have just moved here. We unfortunately will not be back.

Yelp
Very nice farmers market with a good mix of different merchants and plenty of parking. Well spaced out and not terribly over-run. The place to go on a Saturday morning in Kalispell for getting a good mix of fresh locally grown vegetables as well as artisanal goods, in general.

Yelp
Something for everyone in the family here. I personally had a candy cookie, Carmel latte and some delicious flathead lake cheese. I also picked up some fun DIY glasses at a booth with a lot of steampunk items. The woman there was very nice and had pink hair like me so I loved that. The cheese guy was also very nice and offered us several samples. Bike parking and car parking was nearby as well as restrooms in the art building available for public use.

Yelp
When I knew we were coming to Kalispell, I looked up to see where the nearest farmers market might be. Hot damn the farmers market is in the parking lot of my Red Lion hotel. Woohoo, short walk to the oldest farmers market in Montana. While my husband is working over in Whitefish, I have been here doing homework in the room, I get our during the day and walk around and have seen this area of the mall parking lot dead, so when Saturday rolled around it was a mob scene. Who knew. Lines of cars, lines of people and the smell of fresh donuts being made on the spot, were almost more fun than I could handle in Montana. I did a couple of laps with my Trader Joe's reusable bag in hand... looking the part of a serious farmers market regular... brought my own bag, have plenty of singles in my purse, and not for stripping farmers, but for those awesome tomatoes. I hit several farmers markets back in Oregon, and this one is a decent size, so there were plenty of places to pick from for early crops. The flowers were incredibly cheap, I saw giant pots of pretty red geraniums going for under $10. I was tempted to line my hotel room with them and take them home, but instead I opted for fresh made kettle corn and a bag of salad for $3. Starting in April they are here until October, every Saturday. It is worth the trip over there if you are in town.
