I made reservations for our group of 5 for a Sunday afternoon. Even though we arrived early, they were very pleasant and seated us right away. We ordered the okra, laing with chips, and a Boodle Fight. None of us knew what to expect as this had been our first time here. First of all, okra is not popular in general, but their dish was absolutely delicious and we were polite with each other, but there was a bit of longing in our eyes when it came down to the last okra. The coconutty laing and chips (which reminded me of chips and spinach artichoke dip but with flavors that came alive on the perfectly crispy chips) disappeared very quickly as well. The Boodle Fight was a huge platter of meats such as grilled chicken, grilled pork, and fried fish, with stir fried rice. There were several dips to experiment with too and you couldn't go wrong with any of them! To top off the meal, we treated ourselves to halo halo and buko pie. Our group was comprised of several foodies and a pescatarian. Every single one of us was blown away by the desserts - one commented that it was the best halo halo she ever had. It may seem like we were freely calling everything delicious, but we are actually a very picky group so these praises were earned by the restaurant. The staff was attentive and friendly, the atmosphere was casual and fun, and the food was exciting and satisfying. A true gem!
