This upmarket restaurant offers both à la carte and a chef’s sharing menu. We opted for the latter. The tuna course was a bit on the strong, fishy side for our taste and, unfortunately, contained a small scale. The second dish was pleasant, though the many components made it hard to identify each element.
The absolute highlight of the evening was the oxtail – beautifully cooked, with a rich, flavorful sauce, well-prepared vegetables, and smooth mashed potatoes. Truly excellent! Dessert combined white chocolate, passionfruit, brownie, and a black olive sauce. The olive pairing wasn’t to our taste, though that may be personal preference.
If the dishes were refined a touch more and the presentation elevated, this place could really shine. Service was friendly and attentive, the pacing of the dinner was spot-on, and the atmosphere was lovely.
📍 Tip: Situated right in the center of Funchal. If you’d like to explore it for yourself, make a reservation in advance.
