"An unremarkable Daly City strip mall might not be the most obvious spot to find well-crafted Thai cuisine, but putting appearances aside, this cheery little spot delivers on flavor. During the daytime, you’ll find an assortment of fusion brunch items (for example, a take on chicken and waffles that features hat yai, fragrant Southern Thai-style fried chicken) alongside a variety of more typical Thai restaurant fare. The menu includes the usual suspects of stir-fried noodles and curries, as well as less ubiquitous items like spicy clay pot catfish, and across the board special care and bold seasoning sets the cooking apart. For a case in point, try the hand-made curry puffs, which boast an impeccably delicate, flaky crust." - Michelin Inspector

The 17 Best Restaurants In Daly City - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Kan Kiin Brunch & Thai Eatery During dinner at Kan Kiin, you’ll find a solid menu of classic Thai dishes, like the pad see ew and the green curry that offers a rich, spicy kick. But for a truly unique dining experience, stop in for brunch. You’re going to want at least one order of the matcha pancakes—they’re a hit and perfect for sharing at the table—and the hat yai fried chicken with waffles. It’s a popular spot, especially for brunch, so be prepared for a wait, but the food is well worth it." - gabi moskowitz, patrick wong

Google
Been meaning to try their brunch menu. When someone suggested we try something different , I immediately suggested this location. First of all, like it was meant to be, we found parking almost right in front of the restaurant. We ordered: Pork Belly porridge, classic egg Benedict, very berry pan cake, 2 eggs and sausage, French toast, curry pasta, and scrambled egg. To drink: Thai coffee, Thai tea and very berry mojito. Food was very good except the pan cake was a little bit sweet for my taste but it was nice and fluffy. The very berry mojito was good. Not enough liquor but hey, maybe it’s still early. :). We definitely would come back but would like to try dinner. Update: 10/14/2025 We had to come and try their dinner. It was amazing. Their food and their service. We ordered: Chicken Wing and Samosas to start. Then we ordered: seafood tom yum soup, pad Thai chicken, pineapple fried rice, pa ram tofu, lazy herbal beef and papaya salad combo. Everything was good except for the rice that came with the lazy herbal beef. Just a bit too spicy for me otherwise everything was amazing and I would definitely come back.

Google
Great brunch spot if you don’t mind the wait and the hassle of parking other than that it’s a must! Matcha pancakes are amazing and their Pork Belly and Crab Benedict are also a must if you don’t want anything sweet. The presentation of the food is also eye pleasing and definitely matches the flavor. I can say the same thing for their drinks plus they also have cocktails to spice up your weekend or week day. The service was good and I get it could get hectic at times and hopefully they hire more staff to make it a more efficient. Other than that you must check it out if you have the chance.

Google
Nice place to eat for a quick brunch. I like the food and ambience. They also serve fast and the service is good too. For a total of 5, we spent around $120. We shared food and were so full. We liked everything except for the Hat Yai, waffle is not that good. Had a hard time parking but it’s manageable around 12-1pm

Google
Came here for brunch. The corn fritters seemed like a good appetizer and was very crunchy. For the entree I decided to try the Jok crispy pork belly porridge and my wife got the golden pork. The Jok was good. The Tom yum was there to provide the sour and savory flavor to an otherwise bland dish. It was a cute little spot.

Google
Located in Daly City, always packed and full! The interior is so cute. Street parking only. Service was impeccable and friendly. Unfortunately too many people know about this place and sometimes waits are long, but once you experience their food, you will be a regular. We ordered few dishes to try out and the food is excellent. The foods are visually beautiful, filling and delicious. I appreciate a server who does a great job, and our server Bam handled our table of four adults and two babies with a perfect display of relaxed competence. Well done! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant 10/10 ✨

Google
Kan kin has a fusion-ish brunch and authentic Thai entrees for dinner only, on the weekends Had both and I actually enjoyed the brunch option more The green curry linguine was excellent. Very nice green curry with the perfect balance amount of coconut milk(not too watery not too thick) and perfectly aldente pasta. The corn fritters were ok. Tasty but mostly because they were deep fried. The hat yai chicken was very crispy and mildly spicy and came with American fried rice. The chicken was not overly breaded and the crunch was 👌 I also got the steak and basil fried rice. This was a glorious steak, at a 40$ price point and the fried rice was amazing. I asked for medium on the steak and I think it was spot on Thai yellow curry was very good. Not too many potatoes as you sometimes see with a yellow curry. The veggie drunken noodles were great, tangy, spicy and not too sweet. The curry puffs were crisp and potato filling was nicely spiced.

Google
This was such a great experience and their dinner was really good. They had a beautiful ambiance that represented nature and all the food is delightfully plated. I especially liked the tom yum soup, which was loaded with seafood, mushrooms, and a mix of flavorful spices. Looking forward to coming back for brunch.

Google
Ordered the jok pork belly porridge, Hat Yai fried chicken and waffles, and Brussels sprouts and fries. The Brussels sprouts was a good choice with the pesto sauce and I kept dipping into the sauce with the crispy fries. The porridge was tasty and filled with a good portion of crispy pork belly. Egg was soft boiled and was very good. Ginger had a good presence in this dish. Porridge is very filling and came with the Chinese donut. The fried chicken wasn't bad and was a big portion. The waffle wasn't soggy. Came with alot of fruit. Overall, the food is good and will.come back and try other dishes. Beware, it can get crowded here.

Yelp
When a friend came to visit from out of town, I wanted to send him off with a memorable meal before his flight out of SFO. I'm not a morning person by any means -- but after seeing the gorgeous photos of Kan Kiin's brunch dishes online, I actually woke up excited. We arrived about 30 minutes after opening and were seated right away. From the moment we sat down to the last bite, that initial excitement never faded. We ordered the Golden Pork, and it was honestly a showstopper. I don't even normally gravitate toward pork, but this dish completely changed my mind. Every bite melted in my mouth like butter -- so tender, juicy, and rich with flavor. The Brussels sprouts that came with it were perfectly crispy on the outside and surprisingly juicy and savory on the inside, with just a hint of sweetness. Even the potato wedges were next-level -- golden, crispy, and seasoned just right. You can tell a lot of care went into every element of the plate. The matcha pancakes were just as much a visual treat as they were a tasty one. They were wobbling side to side when they arrived at the table -- it was so satisfying to see. Light, fluffy, and with a pleasant matcha flavor that wasn't too overpowering. I do wish there had been a bit more matcha sauce, as the inner part of the pancake felt a little dry without it. But overall, a very fun and delicious dish. The ambiance really added to the experience. It was October, and they had some fun Halloween decorations up, just enough to give the space a playful, seasonal vibe. The overall aesthetic of the restaurant is warm, modern, and welcoming. Service was excellent. The staff were kind, attentive, and clearly put care into everything -- from taking our orders to the way they engaged with us throughout the meal to ensure customers were happy. Drinks were solid -- not life-changing, but definitely creative with unique flavors that complemented the food nicely. We got the Green Goddess Colada and Mango A-Go-Go. I would note that parking was somewhat limited. All in all, Kan Kiin made our early morning feel special, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to try more items on the menu. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a brunch spot with standout dishes and thoughtful details.

Yelp
Beautiful Thai brunch by day, and classic Thai food with a modern twist by night! This place truly has beautiful and delicious dishes, so I can see why they are a selected Michelin Guide restaurant for 2025! The portions are also very big here, so definitely consider sharing so you can sample more dishes. I wasn't really in a drinking mood (shocker!) when we went, so we tried their mocktails and all were good, but if you don't have a sweet tooth, I recommend asking for less sweet because they do run on the sweeter side. Be warned, parking in this area is TOUGH on weekends, so plan accordingly. * Drunken Spaghetti * Crab Lover Scramble * Steak & Egg (highly recommend!) * Bangkok Golden (highly recommend!) * Matcha Caramel Latte * Lavender Lemonade * Strawberry Hurricane * Mango "A-Go-Go"

Yelp
We were referred here by our best friends who live in Daly City, and came on last-minute plans, so glad we did! We arrived early on a Monday morning, so it wasn't crowded and we were able to snag an 11am reservation. Heads up: they will not seat your party unless everyone is present, and parking can be tricky -- some spots are only 15 minutes and some are 2 hours, so plan extra time to find parking. Inside was very clean, and service was fast and friendly. We started with pineapple mimosas -- delicious, but they tasted like they had very light champagne in them. We also ordered wings, fries, and Brussels sprouts to start. The wings looked almost unreal because of how perfect they were, and they were perfectly crispy! The fries were crisp with no complaints, and the Brussels sprouts were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, which is hard to achieve -- definitely a hit. For entrées we ordered two steak with spicy basil rice plates, and two breakfast sandwiches. The steak was cooked to perfection -- seasoned well with a nice peppery flavor and tender in the center. The spicy basil rice was flavorful and balanced -- not too spicy. The breakfast sandwiches were packed with egg, bacon, and an apple turkey sausage patty. We swapped regular mayo for spicy mayo, which wasn't really spicy, but still tasted great. We also tried the chicken and waffles -- chicken was crisp and the inside wasn't dry at all. Overall, the presentation was beautiful -- clean, simple, and everything tasted fresh. We would definitely return!

Yelp
Kan Kiin has been on my to try list and finally was able to make reservations for a Friday brunch for 3 of us. We couldn't decide what to order so we ended up with 2 orders t share and todl waiter if we were still hungry we would order another dish. It'a a nice open atmosphere, but when seated we felt crowded as they gave us a table for 2 and added a chair. We asked to move to a larger table and the accommodated us and moved us to a table of 4. It was much better! Luckily we did make reservations so we had no wait and within 1/2 hour the place was packed. Our two orders were Jok Pork Belly Porridge and "Hat Yai" Fried Chicken & Waffle: - Jok was good; crispy pork bell skin, meat was tiny bit on the dry side, must like lots of ginger because there was a lot in the jok. The poached egg in the jok was good. - Chicken & Waffle was a beautiful presentation. The chicken was crispy, tender and perfectly seasoned. Waffles, butter and the maple syrup was delicious; not mind blowing but satisfying. The variety of fruits especially the dragon fruit was nice touch to the dish. I would definitely like to try some of the other dishes that sounded good so will probably try to eat there again.

Yelp
Very attentive service. The servers asked us what we wanted and gave us the food and drink in a timely fashion. I ordered the RadNa and it was really tasty! Lots of garlicky and salt notes with the tender seafood. A very fulfilling meal with veggies to balance out. The mocktail drink was very tasty, not too sweet. The decorations are very lively! Instagram worthy. Difficult to find immediately close parking but there are options within walking distance.

Yelp
Went on a Saturday night. The inside was a bit packed! I ordered over the phone and they were able to prepare my food in a timely manner, or less than 25 minutes. I got a rice and noodle dish and they were amazing! They do charge a $0.25 bag fee on takeout. Parking is tough. The street parking was mostly packed and I had to circle around to find a spot. Will be back!

Yelp
Arrived on a Weds right when they opened so we managed to get seated very quickly! It got quite busy, but orders came out quickly. Drinks Ordered: Thai Iced Coffee (8/10): not too sweet but could have used a little more Thai tea Lavender Lemonade (8/10): could taste the lavender but overall was a bit too sweet Food Ordered: "Jok" Crispy Pork Belly Porridge (9/10): our favorite dish out of everything we ordered. I loved the tom yum flavor and how the pork belly was both crispy and chewy. Would def recommend this! Steak & Eggs (6/10): was very heavy on the salty and the steak was a bit disappointing. Nothing special about the eggs. The bell peppers in the fried rice were delicious though. Side of Matcha Pancake (6/10): the pancake itself isn't sweet but the syrup is. Glad we didn't order the actual stack since it wasn't our favorite. Presentation wise everything looked amazing, the decor was so fun, and the servers often checked in to see how we were doing, but I don't think the food is anything special. I would still be open to try their other items with Tom Yum to see if maybe we just ordered the wrong things.

Yelp
Came by for a Thursday lunch with my son, who loves brunch foods. Super cute interior with lots of greenery! Staff are really nice and quick to help as well. * crispy pork belly porridge: Tom yum style, so it's tart and bright from lemongrass and ginger. At first I thought there wasn't enough pork belly but as I spooned through it, I was happy with the generous portion of juicy pork belly with skin that stayed perfectly crispy even through the last bite, soaked in porridge! The porridge consistency is thick and warming. Soft boiled egg adds great richness when you stir it in. Generous slices of shittake mushroom. Love the fried Chinese-style crueller to dip into the porridge. It's a bit pricey but I liked the unique flavor (Tom yum in porridge! Who would've thought) and good amount of crispy pork belly. * chicken and waffle: two pieces of well seasoned chicken thighs fried crispy. Juicy and tasty, and the waffle was good too. Lots of fruit garnish to make it pretty. Brought a leftover piece of chicken to my other kid at home who promptly gobbled it up and declared it delish Great spot for a brunch that's a bit fancier and unique!

Yelp
Very cute interior with a reasonable amount of space. Came on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was completely filled but still managed to get seated for a party of 3 within 10-15 minutes. The service was also superb. I came with a cake and only asked to put it in the fridge with no other instructions. When it was cake time, the servers actually put 2 lit birthday candles on the cake for us. The tom yum porridge was absolutely delicious and so nice on an empty stomach. Perfect for those who love tom yum or a sour savory flavor. The pork belly is a little tougher to chew so wouldn't recommend for those with a weaker jaw or weaker teeth.

Yelp
Ordered take out today and was surprised by the increased portion sizes! I got the papaya salad with medium spicy. Flavors were on par with salads in Thailand. The type of spiciness was on the type that stays on the tip of the tongue. It was enjoyable. The pad Thai with chicken surprised me. It had a lot of char flavor from the wok which I don't normally experience with other pad Thais. I quite enjoyed it. I do wish the flavors were a little more sweet and sour. This was a bit too savory in my opinion. Will be back to try other options again

Yelp
Kan Kiin has been on my list of to-try restaurants forever, and I finally made the trek up. We were able to be seated right away at approximately 1 PM on a Sunday. I ordered the steak and eggs. Pretty sure they misheard me somehow- though I don't think medium rare sounds anything close to well done! I paid an additional $3 to have scrambled eggs instead of sunny side up, and it was well worth it (albeit pricy). It tastes a lot better in fried rice, what can I say? The basil fried rice was spiced well, but they used a LOT of oil. My plate was glistening! My boyfriend got the Thai basil bacon spaghetti, and this was a really good pick that I was eyeing as well. I feel like they cooked the dish in a bit of the leftover bacon grease, the flavor was evenly distributed throughout the dish. He got the Thai iced coffee and enjoyed it tremendously. We're generally not big brunch people, Kan Kiin was amazing, we'd love to come again for dinner and try some of their more standard Thai fare. Brunch was overly expensive, in my opinion. Portion sizes are really good here though, you will not walk out hungry.
google avatar

Robert W.

Yelp
Expect a wait, and limited street parking. There are other restaurants alongside Kan Kiin in the area. Corn fritter was on the crispier side, I would prefer it a little softer. I enjoyed the chunks of crab in the eggs Benedict. The steak was cooked medium rare, basil fried rice underneath the steak was flavorful and complimented the dish. The egg was still runny just how I like it. Service was good & food came out quickly.
google avatar

Samantha D.

Yelp
It's a standout place for the neighborhood. Given the other dining places in the area, it's a unique brunch place. There was a line when I got there, but we were seated relatively quickly. Tried a few different things - "hat yai" fried chicken and waffle, golden pork, crispy pork benedict, and tuna tartare. The waffle was okay - good flavor but a little dry. I enjoyed the crisp of the fried chicken. The golden pork was very similar to Vietnamese braised pork - sweet soy marinade that gets simmered into the pork belly for a while. Very filling and fatty. The crispy pork benedict was good. I liked the textural contrast of the egg and the pork belly. The tuna tartare was probably my favorite. The tuna was super fresh and I liked the contrast of the sweet mangos in it. There was a good amount of tuna too. Solid brunch place in the Westlake area.

Yelp
This place is an amazing brunch spot! It was a home run from start to finish, featuring beautiful aesthetic interior design, mouth-watering presentation, and the most scrumptious food. I came with my family for my little sister's birthday and we were seated efficiently. We loved everything that we ordered, and I believe a restaurant can't be bad if they have good fries. I repeat, you have to get their fries. While they are a side character compared to the rest of the meal, they truly made the meal for me. I can't and will not stop raving about them!

Yelp
Came here with a group of eight people for lunch on a Monday. The short of it: order chicken or porridge! I split the chicken and waffles with another person. The portion was pretty large (we couldn't finish it between us both) and the chicken was quite enjoyable. At first we were worried this was a spot that was more concerned with aesthetic for the gram, but the general consensus around the table was that the food was good. The fruits served with the dishes were also very fresh. Two people ordered the porridge which, although it was priced a tad bit high, was tasty. Four people ordered the chicken salad. It was missing beets (which was included on the menu description). The crispy chicken again was the star. The salad was served with a peanut sauce dressing which one person commented was really good but not as a salad dressing and a vinaigrette may have been more enjoyable to them (a preference). It was a summer day and inside did feel warm and stuffy a bit. The front door was open and cigarette smoke hit our table. The staff was friendly but super busy so we didn't engage or interact much.

Yelp
I heard about this place for being a Michelin restaurant. So I had to check it out. The food was tasty and delicious! I didn't expect the food combos of flavors to make my dinner experience so well. For a Monday night, the restaurant was busy and full of dine in customers. The inside decor and ambiance was elegant, clean and inviting to eat. We were a party of 4 people, ordered the corn fritters, samosas, beef plate, fried chicken over rice, seafood pad Thai, and pork belly stew with rice. I had a lavender lemonade which was presented beautifully! The dishes gave us a sweet and spicy flavor. We all thought it was tasty and interesting! As for service, there was only 2 servers and they were slammed! I gave this place 4 stars only because I felt bad for the door dashers and take out customers. I overheard they were waiting over an hour for their orders and one customer was yelling and wanted a refund. Thankfully the server was doing their best but the customer was not undestanding that only TWO servers were on a dinner rush. My only suggestion is maybe shut off the online orders when they have a lot of diners. Too much for just two workers. I will say the food is worth it! I will look forward and comeback for a brunch experience!

Yelp
Its been a while since we were last here, so decided to give them another try. Hubs ordered the pork belly jok. The pork belly was crispy and it was ok. Kiddo ordered the steak and eggs. The fried rice had a kick to it, but it was flavorful. He seemed to enjoy it. I ordered the sweet corn crab benedict. The dish was nicely presented. Fries were hot and crispy. Unfortunately, the benedict itself lacked flavor which was surprising. Would've thought the hollandaise sauce provided some added flavor, but it was bland and seasoning was missing. For the price, expected more. Dont think we'll be returning any time soon.

Yelp
Came back for their dinner service and it did not disappoint! Tried the papaya salad, chicken wings, shrimp pad Thai, catfish, and crispy rice salad. We enjoyed it over 2 bottles of wine and had a great time. Nice and attentive service throughout. Everything was delicious. My faves were the papaya salad and pad Thai. We asked for everything spicy but watch out on the crispy rice - so yum, full of tom yum flavor but spicy indeed!!!

Yelp
To be fair, I think this place lands around 3.5 stars. They don't take reservations on weekends (though they do on weekdays), which means you'll likely be waiting. Is it worth it? Honestly, there are other spots with better pricing and quality. We waited about 30 minutes on a Saturday. The space is larger than I expected, with a cozy, relaxed vibe. As for the food, it's a bit hit or miss, some dishes shine, others fall flat, and I'm not sure the prices always feel justified. Service was friendly, though not particularly attentive. What we ordered: -Jok with crispy pork belly (3/5) Too salty, which made the porridge hard to enjoy. The pork belly also wasn't actually crispy. - Matcha buttermilk pancakes (3/5) I was hoping for fluffy pancakes but they were a bit dry. The matcha sauce was refreshing but there wasn't enough of it. - Sweet corn cake & crab Benedict (3/5) This one was underwhelming. Yes, there were crab chunks, but overall it lacked flavor. I wouldn't recommend it, save your money. -Steak & egg (5/5) The highlight of the meal. Steak was perfectly cooked, and the basil fried rice paired beautifully. Definitely worth ordering. - Salad (3/5) Average at best. I was also surprised they didn't peel the orange or dragon fruit in the salad. Overall, the experience was okay but not compelling enough for me to rush back.

Yelp
Loved this place--great atmosphere, friendly staff, and the food had the perfect balance of spice and flavor. A hidden gem for brunch lovers. Fresh, vibrant, and tasty Thai dishes with a brunch twist. Cozy vibe and fast service--highly recommend. Perfect authentic flavors, beautiful presentation, and such a welcoming staff.

Yelp
Kan Kiin is a neighborhood gem! We came in a weekday, because weekends have seemed impossible to get in. I ordered the chicken and waffles and it was delicious. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside with tons of flavor. The waffle was also quite delicious and could have been a bit more crispy but still very good. We will definitely be coming back! I think I want to try the matcha pancakes next!

Yelp
Brunch with a Thai twist = Yum, cute decor parking requires a bit of walking and there is a waitlist that moves quickly. We ordered the Corn fritters, Hat Yao fried chicken and waffle. Juicy chicken and a tasty waffle. Jok crispy pork belly was my favorite it's a warm hug. Bangkok golden it was different and good, Green curry spaghetti w/ chicken this was delicious. Everything was so tasty and the staff were friendly.

Yelp
Secured a reservation here for a belated Mother's Day brunch. They had just opened so the tables were mostly empty. They initially seated us (2 adults and a toddler with high chair) at a nice 4-person table. Shortly after handing us our menus and settling us in, they come back and say actually they need to move us to another table. This was a 2-person table with the toddler high chair in the space between us and the next table. It was cramped. I understand wanting to save larger tables for bigger groups, but plan ahead especially for those with reservations so guests don't have to be shuffled around. The matcha caramel latte was smooth and sweet. Appetizers were simple but done well. Enjoyed their fried spring rolls. The Sweet corn cake crab benedict was just okay. The corn cake was stale and we did not end up eating it. My mom got the pork belly which she enjoyed. Would recommend sticking with the Asian dishes here - better flavors.

Yelp
The brunch vibes were so good that I had to come back here for dinner service. I'll leave it simple this time; melt in your mouth goodness from the kra pao pork belly, it's like if they had a baby with Filipino Lechon with Thai goodness; a must get!! A thing to note is that every entree comes with a side of rice so no need to order more!

Yelp
Kan Kiin is a Thai restaurant located in the Westlake area of Daly City. It's part of a strip mall that is all too familiar to me and my childhood. Parking is not great but there's residential street parking not far away. The restaurant was featured on the Michelin guide and is very popular for brunch. You can make reservations but brunch is harder to find so I'd recommend weekday brunch if you can. We came here for dinner that had more openings for reservations. SAMOSA CURRY PUFFS ($13) - this had good curry flavors but I think it would've benefited from some kind of dipping sauce. 3.5/5 LAZY HERBAL BEEF ($28) - the beef was tender and cooked well. The dish came with a flavorful fried rice that was mildly spicy. 4/5 YELLOW CURRY ($17) - the curry had good flavor and there were good portions of tender beef. The curry was a little more liquidy/thin than I would prefer. 4/5 FRESH CRAB FRIED RICE ($35) - at first you'd think this is a high price for fried rice but it had great portions of fresh crab. The flavor was good but I really liked the dipping sauce that added more flavor. This dish looked to be popular among other tables and this was our favorite dish. 5/5 DRUNKEN NOODLES ($16) - we ordered this dish with chicken and it was a little dry. It had good flavor but was actually pretty spicy. It was spicier than most other drunken noodles I've had and we couldn't specify our preferred spice level when ordering. For our spice level tolerance it would've been better if it wasn't as spicy and we'd ask if we could lower the spice level next time. 3.5/5 For drinks I ordered the very berry mojito ($12) which was sweet from the berries but I felt like it was missing a little citrus to make it more balanced. Their cocktails are pretty well priced and even their mocktails can be turned into cocktails for an extra cost. They were out of some of the dishes I was itching to try (hat yai fried chicken and mussaman beef curry). Since this place is close by I'll have more opportunities to eat here.

Yelp
Nice place for brunch but get there a little earlier as the line can get long . We ordered the chicken Benedict, the chicken and waffles and the jok porridge (tom yum flavor)

Yelp
Went here Saturday morning and there was a 15 minute wait which is not bad at all. Parking is a bit limited by but you'll eventually find one. Very busy spot. But service was nonetheless attentive. Food was amazing. Taste and presentation. I will definitely come back to try dinner out since their Brunch was amazing.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday afternoon around 1230pm and got seated immediately! I saw this place on my tiktok so I was very eager to try. I really love brunch and especially Asian fusion brunch. The food was amazing!! I ordered the "Jok" Crispy Pork Belly Porridge, side of matcha pancake and for my boyfriend a cheeseburger with fries. The porridge honestly was so amazing 10/10. It had so much flavor that I was an awe. It gave me a nostalgic feel of growing up eating porridge when I was sick. I was surprised to see it on the menu as most Asian fusion brunch don't have something similar that I have experienced so far. The pork belly gave more flavor and texture. I wasn't able to finish my bowl but took it home and it was still amazing to eat the next day. My porridge also came with a Chinese donut which completed well with my dish. I definitely dipped my donut in the porridge. The matcha pancake was great. Tasted like matcha but not too sweet. We had some butter and syrup to add to our liking. My boyfriend not much a foodie like me but he definitely finished his burger and fries and was very pleased with taste and proportion. The restaurant is very pretty and clean. Service was great and everyone was so kind. Would definitely recommend coming back and trying more items as there was other dishes I was very interested in but didn't pick this time.

Yelp
First time here! Enjoyed the Golden Pork;it's under Signature dishes, herb braised pork belly, roasted potatoes, brussel sprouts, sunny side up egg, served with fine sour dough toast. Pretty good cook up I'd say. No sloppy cooking here; just tasty stuff. Coffee: pretty good tasting. Drank it black. Black is beautiful. There is a waiting list; sign it as soon as possible. Decor: kinda discreetly hip and clean. Bathroom: clean. Parking: tight. Tip: there is an alley accessible from behind the gas station and a slim alley between buildings.

Yelp
I've had weekend brunch twice here. Both times excellent. I had an omelette and my friend and I shared the matcha pancake. It's not too sweet and it's really delicious. No reservations for brunch and it's packed for weekend brunch. I usually show up at 930 just to be close to the front of the line. That's the only draw back Restaurant is clean service was fast. Great place to treat friends.

Yelp
Came back for the 3rd time since finding out about this place a month ago! We came on a Sunday and this time I decided on getting a fried chicken sandwich. Look yall, now I know where to go on Sundays when Chick-fil-A is closed. This burger was crispy and juicy, well-seasoned and filling. I also ordered a caramel matcha latte and thought it was decent. 7.9/10 for it. I think it would be better to mix the caramel in and really sweeten the drink.

Yelp
Located in Daly City, always packed and full! The interior is so cute. Street parking only. Service was impeccable and friendly. Unfortunately too many people know about this place and sometimes waits are long, but once you experience their food, you will be a regular. We ordered few dishes to try out and the food is excellent. The foods are visually beautiful, filling and delicious. I appreciate a server who does a great job, and our server Bam handled our table of four adults and two babies with a perfect display of relaxed competence. Well done! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant 10/10

Yelp
We came to Kan Kiin as a group of nine for a birthday brunch on a Sunday, and it turned out to be a fun and chill spot to celebrate. The vibe is super aesthetic and modern with Instagrammable decor with just the right balance of cozy and trendy. It definitely sets the mood for a casual but stylish brunch. My partner and I split the Chicken & Waffles and the Pork Belly Benedict. Both were solid: well-cooked, flavorful, and nicely plated. Not exactly mind-blowing, but definitely enjoyable and worth trying if you're in the mood for fusion brunch fare with a Thai twist. While I didn't get to try it myself, a couple folks in our group raved about the congee and apparently it was fire, so that's definitely on my list for next time. Overall, Kan Kiin delivers a good mix of creative brunch dishes with Thai influences in a really cute setting. It's the kind of place that's perfect for a small celebration or catching up with friends over something a little different than your usual eggs and toast.

Yelp
I won't lie, the food here was absolutely incredible. It was very fresh tasting and seasoned well. The restaurant is a really pretty environment. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars was because of how long we were waiting for our server and food. The place was completely full, so I get it can be hard when it's very busy. We did wait probably 15-20 minutes for a server and had to wave someone down to get an order. I still would go back because the food was good, just know that it can get busy!

Yelp
The power of social media fooled me again!! Darn!! For a place that's constantly touted for its "Michelin" recognition and captivating aesthetics, our brunch experience fell sorely short of expectations. VERY BERRY PANCAKE - 3/10: - Looked fantastic on the plate but the taste was surprisingly lackluster (I really didn't think a "berries and cream" pancake could disappoint) - Head-scratching combination of chocolate chips, flavorless whipped butter (no cream??), browning fruit, and a thin spread of compote - Pancakes were thick and fluffy-looking on the outside, but the inside texture was dry and crumbly - swallowing each bite was a bit of a throat workout GOLDEN PORK - 5/10: - Pork belly was braised well but the flavor was quite bland - The "roasted potatoes" ended up being a couple of potato wedge fries like you'd find at an elementary school cafeteria or the Walmart frozen section.. had a good laugh over this one - Sourdough toast was stale and looked/tasted like old bread deep fried in butter - The brussel sprouts were DELICIOUS though (round of applause) "JOK" CRISPY PORK BELLY PORRIDGE - 7/10: - FLAVOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - I absolutely loved the flavors of this, but overall the dish felt very one dimensional and we got tired of eating it pretty quickly. Wish it came as a set with some complementary sides to balance things out (and no the stick of fried dough hardly counts)

Yelp
food was delicious i loved the presentation. We came in on a sunday at 11:30 am for brunch and did not have a long wait for a party of 3. Matcha pancakes were ok, I wish that they had more of a matcha flavor. The iced matcha was delicious! I would love to come back to try the dinner menu

Yelp
I love the interior of this place and the workers are very patient and understanding. I went on a random Wednesday where I was catching up with a friend so we sat down at 11:30 and it seemed like the other groups of tables around us were chatting for a while too. The workers never rushed us to pay or leave. We finished up before the other groups of people who sat down before us so it seems like this is a good place if you want to sit for a while and chat while enjoying delicious food. Great brunch place for celebrating special occasions. A little $$ but they use fresh and premium ingredients so it's good for the occasional splurge!

Yelp
First time having Thai brunch here with friends. What an experience. Decors were nice and inviting. Menu is interesting. A lot of dishes are unique. We ordered 5 dishes to share. Fried chicken & waffle: Chicken was crispy, tender and juicy. Waffle was fluffy. French toast: Toast was cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of flavors. Matcha pancake: Thick, dense and too plain. Pork belly porridge: Interesting spin of combination of tom yum and porridge. Something I am not used to but liked it. Sweet corn & crab benedict: I can't eat crab but everything else was so good. Loved the sweetness from the corn. Everything was pretty much delicious overall. Presentation was nice.

Yelp
This is such a beautiful restaurant, so clean, so well decorated. The parking situation is rough but it's doable. We ordered a lot of the staples, including a fried chicken over rice dish that I didn't get to take pictures of. It was all very okay, no real complains but no real depth. The best thing we ordered were the crispy rolls. We asked for the Pad See Ew spicy and it came very mild, we asked for a sauce on the side. Overall the food was okay, ambiance beautiful, service friendly. I'd love to go back for the brunch.

Yelp
Great spot; the old Bangkok Garden restaurant. I've never been a fan of the location of that strip mall due to the lack of parking and abundance of double-parked cars. We did not go yet for brunch and not really a brunch type of person. Terrific decor, modern and well-lit. Amazing food, tremendous service. Everything we was tasteful, cooked well, flavorful and seasoned well...with a reasonable short wait time. Good job, and can't wait to go back.

Yelp
I wanted to treat my parents out for brunch so here I am. I ordered the "Hat Yai" Fried chicken and waffle and got the mango "a go go" mocktail. My dad got the smoked salmon tartine. My mom ordered chicken wings. The chicken and waffles were as good as advertised. My parents also enjoyed their food which I was really happy about. The service was good, the staff was very patient and often checked in. Food also came out at a reasonable pace. Try it out if you like. :)

Yelp
DINNER REVIEW Spontaneously decided to eat dinner here with my group, and we were pleasantly surprised with everything! The service is great, and interior is very cute (not surprised since it's a fusion brunch spot during the day). Prices are also very reasonable in our opinion, compared to other Thai spots in the city. We ordered four items and payed $21 per person. Food: Pad Thai - our least favorite dish, the flavor is very mild and didn't have that pad thai tamarind flavor we wanted. Pad see ew - good, standard pad see ew, we had no complaints and happily gobbled this up Green curry- our favorite dish of the night, it was loaded with chicken and veggies, and the curry pairs with the rice amazingly. The bamboo and eggplant is the best part IMO! Papaya salad - my second favorite item, the flavors were on point! Citrusy and crunchy, and I love the baby tomatoes too. Overall, we had a great meal and I am interested in coming back for brunch.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been hereThis place is so special and glad it's been thriving. Incredibly hospitable service! I love the corn fritters and Thai iced coffee. I need to try the matcha pancakes next time for sure. It's so beautiful inside. I am going to come here more often.

Yelp
My friend and I came here for brunch and waited about 20-30 minutes to be seated. We ordered the sweet corn cake and crab Benedict, corn fritters, the Tom Yum porridge, and a side of fried chicken. I was a bit disappointed to see that the crab Benedict used the same corn fritters as the appetizer--it felt a little repetitive, although they still tasted great. Another letdown was that the crab was served on the side rather than on top of the Benedict itself. On the bright side, the corn fritters were delicious, especially when paired with the plum dipping sauce. The Tom Yum porridge was the highlight for me--it was packed with flavor, and I loved the crispy pork belly, mushrooms, and egg. I didn't really care for the fried donut that came on the side, though. Overall, the service was good and the food was tasty. I'd definitely come back to try other dishes like the matcha pancakes or duo scramble. Also, the place is cute with plenty of tables.

Yelp
They need more Thai brunch spot! The presentation is amazing. Not only it looks good, it tastes good. You can add yourself to the waitlist at the restaurant. Came on Saturday at 1pm and got seated within 10 minutes. The food took about 20-25 minutes. It was busy. Got a Thai tea. Very classic. I got the matcha pancake. It's one of the popular dish. I'm more of a savory breakfast kind of person. I also got the tom yum pork belly porridge. I've never seen this anywhere else. It sounded very different. I was mindblow. I love tom yum for its sour and spicy taste. The pork belly was crispy. The porridge was very comforting. It also came with Chinese donut. I love dipping it in my porridge. It soaks up all the flavor. Portions are huge. Had a lot leftover. They also have a dinner menu. Definitely coming back with a hungry stomach.

Yelp
This place was rad! My first inclination is walking in and being greeted. Strangely, this is becoming a lost art. The ambience was also clean, simple, but inviting. Second, is when I go down a menu and I just can't make up my mind because there's so many fun, creative ideas. Next, of course, is whether or not the food lives up to the expectation. And I'll just say that the creativeness shines through, the plates are garnished, the portions are great, and the price isn't too bad. The parking is not great, but I will endure it again as there are definitely items. I'd like to try for brunch next time! I also I'm looking forward to heading there for dinner as I heard there's a ton of other fun stuff to try later in the day.

Yelp
We've eaten at popular Thai brunch place quite a few times already and the food is very consistent and high quality. Today, we ordered the Sweet Corn Crab Benedict, Golden Pork, and Duo. We have also tried the Matcha Pancake and Crispy Pork Belly Porridge in the past. From this list, I would say the Matcha Pancake would be my least favorite as it taste like a regular pancake with just a little matcha flavor. I little too much carbs for me. I have enjoyed the Crispy Pork Belly Porridge in the past as it's a unique twist to the classic Chinese Porridge. There's often a wait for brunch on the weekends and today's wait was around 20 min which was not too bad. While all our dishes were nicely prepared and tasty, a few critiques prevented me from giving 5 stars: - Sweet Corn Crab Benedict. Eggs nicely done and good texture with the crispy sweet corn. Unfortunately, very little crab comes with this dish. - Golden Pork. Brussell sprouts were charred and slight crispy but I like my sunny side up a little more crisp on the edges. Also, I personally found the braised pork belly a little too fatty though they were really tender and the sauce was good and not too salty. - Duo. Generous portions of shrimp and scallops. Massive piece of bread! 5 stars for this one. All three dishes come with crispy potatoes which were the bomb!

Yelp
Kan Kiin can! Hit your tastebuds with Bang! And I'm not playing man when I say my first bite was like Dayuuummm! Ok with back to back Michelin stars I just had to check this brunch spot out. I started off with Matcha Buttermilk Pancakes that were infused with matcha topped with berries and to top it off with even more matcha but in sauce form. I was really buzzing with a few bites, maybe it was the matcha or my Matcha Caramel latte well either way they were a hit. The next time around I got the Sweet Corn Crab Benedict along with the Crispy Pork Belly Benedict. I must say these Michelin stars were well worth it because nothing disappointed as far as food but the service was ok both times. I get it that they are busy and stuff but come on man! You got back to back! And that's my take, Peace out
