"An unremarkable Daly City strip mall might not be the most obvious spot to find well-crafted Thai cuisine, but putting appearances aside, this cheery little spot delivers on flavor. During the daytime, you’ll find an assortment of fusion brunch items (for example, a take on chicken and waffles that features hat yai, fragrant Southern Thai-style fried chicken) alongside a variety of more typical Thai restaurant fare. The menu includes the usual suspects of stir-fried noodles and curries, as well as less ubiquitous items like spicy clay pot catfish, and across the board special care and bold seasoning sets the cooking apart. For a case in point, try the hand-made curry puffs, which boast an impeccably delicate, flaky crust." - Michelin Inspector

Nice place to eat for a quick brunch. I like the food and ambience. They also serve fast and the service is good too. For a total of 5, we spent around $120. We shared food and were so full. We liked everything except for the Hat Yai, waffle is not that good. Had a hard time parking but it’s manageable around 12-1pm

Located in Daly City, always packed and full! The interior is so cute. Street parking only. Service was impeccable and friendly. Unfortunately too many people know about this place and sometimes waits are long, but once you experience their food, you will be a regular. We ordered few dishes to try out and the food is excellent. The foods are visually beautiful, filling and delicious. I appreciate a server who does a great job, and our server Bam handled our table of four adults and two babies with a perfect display of relaxed competence. Well done! I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant 10/10 ✨

Google
The food was great! But we waited 47 minutes for it. Ordered at 10:09, food arrived at 10:56. 2 dishes for 2 people. Servers did not let us know it would be delayed - did not talk to us at all, or offer alternatives. If it was one dish holding up the order, we would have happily ordered something else. Nothing but a brief 'sorry' when it finally came after an hour of being at the table. The Jok and chicken & waffles were both pretty good. Not amazing, but good. Drinks were good. Atmosphere was good too. And the servers were generally friendly. Not sure I'll be going back though.

Huge portions of beautifully presented and delicious brunch food! My friend and I arrived around 1:15pm and had about a 13 minute wait before being seated at a communal table. I ordered the lavender lemonade and hat yai fried Chicken and vanilla waffle and my friend ordered the Green goddess colada and Western Sunrise omelette. The drinks had such vivid colors and were both delicious! My chicken and waffle portion was ginormous! It came with three large pieces of chicken along with the waffle and I couldn't even finish it. My friend also enjoyed her omelette. Their brunch dishes seemed very Americanized, so perhaps the Thai dishes are served on their dinner menu.

Google
Omg first time!!! Amazing service & the portion is big enough for 2 people to share! The menu & the Google menu are a bit off & confusing, but we figure it out! Brunch & dinner have different meal options! Next time, we will try brunch & update this restaurant! It may be small, but the lighting the decor & the classy look great for hosting a small gathering! The plating is legit instagrammable! Now, for the tastes 😋 very good 👍 truly! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu options! Their spices are good also you can taste it in the curry even their fried rice options 😋

Google
This was such a great experience and their dinner was really good. They had a beautiful ambiance that represented nature and all the food is delightfully plated. I especially liked the tom yum soup, which was loaded with seafood, mushrooms, and a mix of flavorful spices. Looking forward to coming back for brunch.

Google
The pancakes were light and fluffy, but the matcha flavor did not come through as strongly as I would have liked. The syrup had a stronger matcha flavor, but it was very very sweet. Hard to eat a lot of. Chicken and waffles were good, but nothing special.

Google
Fast, friendly service! One of our favorite Thai spots. Also great for fusion brunch (pictured, what we had today). The whole menu is great, just depends on what you’re in the mood for.

Yelp
I love the interior of this place and the workers are very patient and understanding. I went on a random Wednesday where I was catching up with a friend so we sat down at 11:30 and it seemed like the other groups of tables around us were chatting for a while too. The workers never rushed us to pay or leave. We finished up before the other groups of people who sat down before us so it seems like this is a good place if you want to sit for a while and chat while enjoying delicious food. Great brunch place for celebrating special occasions. A little $$ but they use fresh and premium ingredients so it's good for the occasional splurge!

Yelp
Came here on a Friday afternoon around 1230pm and got seated immediately! I saw this place on my tiktok so I was very eager to try. I really love brunch and especially Asian fusion brunch. The food was amazing!! I ordered the "Jok" Crispy Pork Belly Porridge, side of matcha pancake and for my boyfriend a cheeseburger with fries. The porridge honestly was so amazing 10/10. It had so much flavor that I was an awe. It gave me a nostalgic feel of growing up eating porridge when I was sick. I was surprised to see it on the menu as most Asian fusion brunch don't have something similar that I have experienced so far. The pork belly gave more flavor and texture. I wasn't able to finish my bowl but took it home and it was still amazing to eat the next day. My porridge also came with a Chinese donut which completed well with my dish. I definitely dipped my donut in the porridge. The matcha pancake was great. Tasted like matcha but not too sweet. We had some butter and syrup to add to our liking. My boyfriend not much a foodie like me but he definitely finished his burger and fries and was very pleased with taste and proportion. The restaurant is very pretty and clean. Service was great and everyone was so kind. Would definitely recommend coming back and trying more items as there was other dishes I was very interested in but didn't pick this time.

Yelp
This is such a beautiful restaurant, so clean, so well decorated. The parking situation is rough but it's doable. We ordered a lot of the staples, including a fried chicken over rice dish that I didn't get to take pictures of. It was all very okay, no real complains but no real depth. The best thing we ordered were the crispy rolls. We asked for the Pad See Ew spicy and it came very mild, we asked for a sauce on the side. Overall the food was okay, ambiance beautiful, service friendly. I'd love to go back for the brunch.

Yelp
I wanted to treat my parents out for brunch so here I am. I ordered the "Hat Yai" Fried chicken and waffle and got the mango "a go go" mocktail. My dad got the smoked salmon tartine. My mom ordered chicken wings. The chicken and waffles were as good as advertised. My parents also enjoyed their food which I was really happy about. The service was good, the staff was very patient and often checked in. Food also came out at a reasonable pace. Try it out if you like. :)

Yelp
My friend and I came here for brunch and waited about 20-30 minutes to be seated. We ordered the sweet corn cake and crab Benedict, corn fritters, the Tom Yum porridge, and a side of fried chicken. I was a bit disappointed to see that the crab Benedict used the same corn fritters as the appetizer--it felt a little repetitive, although they still tasted great. Another letdown was that the crab was served on the side rather than on top of the Benedict itself. On the bright side, the corn fritters were delicious, especially when paired with the plum dipping sauce. The Tom Yum porridge was the highlight for me--it was packed with flavor, and I loved the crispy pork belly, mushrooms, and egg. I didn't really care for the fried donut that came on the side, though. Overall, the service was good and the food was tasty. I'd definitely come back to try other dishes like the matcha pancakes or duo scramble. Also, the place is cute with plenty of tables.

Yelp
We just moved into the area and noticed this place always has a crazy line. We finally got a seat for brunch and were able to try a few tasty dishes. Inside was really pretty with nice decorations. I got the pork belly Benedict and my sister got the Hat Yai fried chicken and waffle. The food was reasonably seasoned and the eggs were cooked to a nice runny perfection. The potato wedges were some of the better wedges I've had. Not soft and soggy but crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. We also ordered the Thai iced coffee which I thought was more on the sweet side. Still really tasty! I should have added milk. The brunch menu does not include any dinner items so we actually came back for dinner take out a few days later. Pad Thai - flavors were right but I wish I ordered extra noodles. Tamarind flavor was definitely there! Pad see ew - Fire. Massaman curry - My favorite dish ordered. I bet it's even better when eaten there. We will be back!

Yelp
First time having Thai brunch here with friends. What an experience. Decors were nice and inviting. Menu is interesting. A lot of dishes are unique. We ordered 5 dishes to share. Fried chicken & waffle: Chicken was crispy, tender and juicy. Waffle was fluffy. French toast: Toast was cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of flavors. Matcha pancake: Thick, dense and too plain. Pork belly porridge: Interesting spin of combination of tom yum and porridge. Something I am not used to but liked it. Sweet corn & crab benedict: I can't eat crab but everything else was so good. Loved the sweetness from the corn. Everything was pretty much delicious overall. Presentation was nice.

Yelp
DINNER REVIEW Spontaneously decided to eat dinner here with my group, and we were pleasantly surprised with everything! The service is great, and interior is very cute (not surprised since it's a fusion brunch spot during the day). Prices are also very reasonable in our opinion, compared to other Thai spots in the city. We ordered four items and payed $21 per person. Food: Pad Thai - our least favorite dish, the flavor is very mild and didn't have that pad thai tamarind flavor we wanted. Pad see ew - good, standard pad see ew, we had no complaints and happily gobbled this up Green curry- our favorite dish of the night, it was loaded with chicken and veggies, and the curry pairs with the rice amazingly. The bamboo and eggplant is the best part IMO! Papaya salad - my second favorite item, the flavors were on point! Citrusy and crunchy, and I love the baby tomatoes too. Overall, we had a great meal and I am interested in coming back for brunch.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate a birthday and made reservations. Upon arrival there was a huge crowd formed inside the restaurant apparently experiencing the same issue. They also made reservations. Seemed like there was a system in place to get seated in order of reservations times, but it seems like like people got seated before others despite having an earlier reservation time. After more than an hour past our reservation time, we got seated. We have an allergy to gluten and eggs. They were able to make accommodations by cooking the steak with just S&P in a separate pan and leave the egg out. So that was nice and I appreciate that. The rest of the food others at my table got look delicious and presentable, didn't have to wait too long for the food. The variety of drinks also looked, smelled and tasted really good. I hope the reservation queue was just a small hiccup because the food was actually good. Didn't have to wait too long once we ordered. We just had to wait a long time to get seated.

Yelp
We've eaten at popular Thai brunch place quite a few times already and the food is very consistent and high quality. Today, we ordered the Sweet Corn Crab Benedict, Golden Pork, and Duo. We have also tried the Matcha Pancake and Crispy Pork Belly Porridge in the past. From this list, I would say the Matcha Pancake would be my least favorite as it taste like a regular pancake with just a little matcha flavor. I little too much carbs for me. I have enjoyed the Crispy Pork Belly Porridge in the past as it's a unique twist to the classic Chinese Porridge. There's often a wait for brunch on the weekends and today's wait was around 20 min which was not too bad. While all our dishes were nicely prepared and tasty, a few critiques prevented me from giving 5 stars: - Sweet Corn Crab Benedict. Eggs nicely done and good texture with the crispy sweet corn. Unfortunately, very little crab comes with this dish. - Golden Pork. Brussell sprouts were charred and slight crispy but I like my sunny side up a little more crisp on the edges. Also, I personally found the braised pork belly a little too fatty though they were really tender and the sauce was good and not too salty. - Duo. Generous portions of shrimp and scallops. Massive piece of bread! 5 stars for this one. All three dishes come with crispy potatoes which were the bomb!

Yelp
One of our go to spots for brunch! Loved their sweet and savory options. Our absolute must get is the matcha pancakes. We love the matcha flavor and it's not too sweet! And the Bangkok golden is one of our new favorites. Love the flavors and it has a perfect little kick of spice. Cant go wrong with any of their mocktails. Highly recommend coming here for brunch, but come early cause it can get very busy especially on weekends.

Yelp
Kan KiiN & Thai Eatery in Daly City is a solid spot if you're craving Thai food. The Pad Thai is definitely the star -- packed with flavor and has that nice kick you want in a good noodle dish. The samosas are also worth a try. The shell's more like an empanada, crispy and flaky, which I actually liked. It just needs a better dipping sauce and a little more herb action to really round it out. Now for the not-so-great parts -- the fried chicken is a pass. It's dry, bland, and honestly, you'll get better chicken from Popeyes. The drinks were nothing to talk about either. Overpriced for what you get, and they didn't really stand out. The place itself is nice though. Good vibe, clean, and not too cramped. Service is decent too. I feel like they probably have more gems on the menu I haven't tried yet, so I'd come back for sure -- just skipping the fried chicken next time.

Yelp
Soooo yummy. Came at opening on Saturday morning and we didn't have to wait to be seated. It filled up pretty quick. The decor was very cute and the restaurant was pretty spacious. I got the fried chicken and waffles and it was pretty good. The fried chicken wasn't super flavorful but it was salted well. The waffle was a typical waffle but the butter with it was sooo good lol. The thai coffee was kinda disappointing for me - it was really milky and not as strong as I was hoping but I don't typically order this anyway so maybe it's always like this. Overall, solid brunch. I would like to try the pancakes next time!

Yelp
Came to Kan Kiin few weeks ago with a friend on a Saturday morning. Parking can be a hassle around this neighborhood but luckily we found one in the neighborhood. (You can always park at the shopping center worst case and walk up the hill) We arrived right before opening and there were people already standing in line. We got seated and was given the menu to look at. They have some delicious drinks and I wish some of the drinks like the the matcha drink came hot but they said they can only do it iced and it was cold morning so I just stuck with hot coffee. I ordered the Western Sunrise and it came with country potatoes, toast and the omelette! Pretty filling breakfast and flavorful. I definitely would love to order the eggs Benedict next time I'm around the area!

Yelp
Kan Kiin is a great local spot located near Daly City. The interior seems newly renovated and gives off fresh spacious vibe to enjoy your meal. Took the family here for an early dinner and we were very happy with how the food turned out! The fried chicken is so crunchy and juicy and the pad see ew had a great balance of meat veggies and noodles. The sweet chili sauce served with the fried chicken is a must try as well! Will definitely be back for brunch as I only hear great things!

Yelp
Wow!! This was my first time having brunch at Kan Kiin. It was Thursday before noon and the place was packed. Everything on the menu sounded so good. I ended up ordering 2 apps- Tuna Tartar and Fried Brussel Sprouts w/fries (plus a delish aioli). Both were SO SO GOOD! Portions were big enough to share (I let the hubs have a bite lol). Decor is simple but cute. Can't wait to come back to try more items on the menu.

Yelp
Waitlist for your weekend brunch. There was a wait but luckily since there was only 2 for my party we got seated right away. When you walk in the smell is divine. You can smell the sweet the spice. Matcha pancakes were a 2.5/5. Wasn't really having the matcha flavor? Unless you drowned it in their syrup. Which we did. We asked for 2 of those little tins. If you had the pancakes by itself it was giving more of a Pandan (coconut/nutty) flavor than a matcha. Pretty to look at but I wouldn't get again. Benedict fried chicken 5/5. Would get again. The chicken was so soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. It was easy to cut thru where I didn't have to cut so hard that my Benedict fell apart which is bonus in my eyes. Could've done without the salad tho. It didn't feel right for me to do w the meal.

Yelp
The restaurant is in a busy plaza so parking was kind of hectic with a lot of cars double parking. My friend wanted Thai food and saw they were on the Michelin guide. We ordered the green curry, seafood Tom yum and the steak plate. Tom yum 10/10: surprisingly creamy and more rich than most Tom yums Green curry w/ Beef 10/10: It had a nice kick and the beef paired well with the curry. Steak 9/10: Steak was nicely cooked and I really liked the flavor of the sticky rice. The sauce that it came with was very sweet, I enjoyed the plate without the sauce.

Yelp
Came here cause I saw a tiktok and the food looked good. It was not bad but I probably wouldnt be back since its far. The benedict was very classic and what youd expect. Tasted good but nothing crazy. Same for the matcha pancakes, the presentation is good but the pancake itself doesnt have a strong matcha taste. We had to drizzle a lot of the syrup to find it tasty. Service was kind of slow because it was so busy and we had to grab plates ourselves. They were nice though so would still recommend this place because its a cute brunch spot. The vibe is nice and if it was closer to me I would probably be more inclines to come back!

Yelp
Great spot! The food was super authentic with good portions, and the service was really warm and friendly. Definitely coming back again!

Yelp
We had brunch here over the weekend with a large party (9 people). The restaurant can accommodate large groups, which a lot of brunch spots in the area struggle with. The waiters were very friendly and provided good service for our group. The food itself was okay. I didn't really like my tom yum yuk porridge. It wasn't bad, just not enjoyable for my personal taste palate. I did like the fried donut it came with though. The crab scramble was decent, but this is a common dish at other local brunch restaurants. I do like how Kan Kiin puts more emphasize on Asian flavors and ingredients than many other Asian fusion brunch spots though!

Yelp
Came here with my coworkers for a team birthday lunch, there were 8 of us, we walked in on Friday afternoon and put ourselves on the waitlist, we had to wait around 15-20 mins. I ordered the "Hat Yai" Fried Chicken & Waffle and it came plated so nicely! The chicken was perfectly seasoned, the outside was crispy and the inside was juicy and tender. It came with a variety of fruits, my favorite is the dragon fruit. The waffles could've been cooked a little longer, I like my waffles a little crispier on the outside edges but these waffles were just soft. We also shared the mango sticky rice for dessert and it was so delicious!! The sticky rice was coated in coconut milk, it made it very sweet.

Yelp
Delish Thai brunch spot! Walked in on a Sunday around 11-12 with no reservations. They had a crowd outside but we were seated within 10 minutes. Everything we ordered was A+! I will be back to try their dinner menu!
google avatar

Yelp
Went with three friends and the place was busy at 1pm on a Tuesday afternoon. They seated despite the me being the only person there. Food direction and presentation is top notched. They trying different things and I can appreciate that. However, someone in my party said the fried chicken was kinda bland. It could use a touch of salt but I enjoyed it a lot due to it being crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Service was good but nothing spectacular. Had to flag them down for stuff but they were quick to bring us extra utensils and napkins etc. All three of us shared the food and we ate everything. I would come back here for lunch again if given the chance.

Yelp
Arrived on a Monday evening and it was easy to get seating. The inside was so cute, and the waiters were friendly and attentive. For a 2024 michelin restaurant, Kan Kiin is extremely affordable and accessible. We ordered a seafood ton yum soup, beef green curry (came with rice), and a lazy herbal beef. Tom yum: packed with seafood, and nothing was overcooked. We loved that it was so flavorful and not watery at all. It almost was a bit creamy, which was thoroughly enjoyed. Green curry: slightly spicy, maybe a bit watery but still yummy. Lazy herbal beef: perfectly cooked beef accompanied with a fried rice. The rice was flavorful and tasted like a basil fried rice with peppers. Super yummy, but the rice has a bit of heat. We also got a couple of drinks -- pretty and delicious. We'll be back!

Yelp
Ate here for Mother's Day with my family of 12. We planned ahead of time and lined up around 9:15 since it was first come, first serve. There were already people lined up at the time and we were about 8th in line. They sat us at 10 AM at their biggest table and they took our order immediately. Our food took over 1 hour for it to come out. I understand it was busy since it was Mother's Day, but our food coming after 11 AM was lowkey crazy LOL. All the food didn't even come out altogether , so everyone was eating at different times. Plates came out probably 10 minutes apart from each other. The food was sooooo good tho. I don't know if it's because we were hungry, but everyone loved their food. Our faves were the pork belly and the strawberry and matcha pancakes. This woulda been a 5/5 stars but the service was so meh.
google avatar

Jaylene L.

Yelp
Loved the friendly service here! However, the food was just okay. The pancakes were a bit on the dry side, and the matcha drink, while not bad, had a slightly grainy texture. Just a heads-up if you're getting the steak and eggs -- the fried rice that comes with it is on the spicier side.
google avatar

Jacqueline L.

Yelp
Came here with my family for dinner after always seeing the crazy brunch lines and thought we'd finally give it a try. Unfortunately, dinner was underwhelming--nothing really stood out, and the flavors felt a bit flat compared to other Thai spots in the area. If you're looking for a solid Thai dinner, I'd recommend heading to Khao Tiew in West Portal instead--way more flavorful and consistently good. Might come back one day to try the brunch, but dinner didn't leave a strong impression.

Yelp
Beautifully decorated restaurant with delicious food, perfect for a date night or brunch with the girls. I loved their crab fried rice and mussaman beef chuck curry with roti. The curry sauce is amazing and soooo flavorful. The beef was cooked to perfection - melts in your mouth tender! We also tried the matcha pancakes and it was okay, I feel like it could've used more matcha flavor. Overall, the food and ambiance is great and I can't wait to come back and try more dishes.

Yelp
I came here on Sunday morning around 10AM. I came with my boyfriend and we were seated right away. Just a quick note, they won't seat you until everyone in your party is here. The parking situation is a bit tricky so be sure to arrive a bit early to find parking. The interior is modern and is pretty spacious. To start we got the corn fritters. I've never had one before this time and I can see why they are so popular! The corn fritters were not too greasy and the sweet mayo sauce added a nice balance to the saltiness of the fritter. One fritter is around the size of a hockey puck so they are good for sharing. I got the Crispy Pork Belly Porridge. It is supposed to be a "Tom Yum" flavored rice porridge but the hallmark tom yum flavors didn't come through as much as I'd hoped. The pork belly was a bit dry but the crispy skin at the top tasted good. I also got to try some of the sweet corn cake crab benedict. The amount of crab was good but the taste was ok. I think this place fell into the common trap of having aesthetic, Instagramable food that really missed the mark flavor-wise. The service was friendly but given the price and taste I feel like this is not the best brunch option.
google avatar

Carissa H.

Yelp
One of the best brunches I've had. Every item is so well thought out on the menu and delicious. My matcha pancake was perfect in both presentation and taste. I love a good Thai tea, definitely enjoyed that. The waiters were very kind and good at giving recommendations. The wait time to be seated is very long on weekends which is expected since this is an excellent restaurant in a small location. The inside is decorated beautifully and has a great vibe overall.
google avatar

Yelp
Had pretty high hopes after hearing and reading so many good reviews about this place. Came with a party of 4 on a Saturday for brunch and waited 30-45 min which is on par with what I'd expect out of such a popular establishment and ordered the crab and corn Benedict and lychee-tini. Just personal preference but I was disappointed my eggs were well done and not runny. I also thought the dish was more corn than crab forward. The potatoes and drink were delicious though! Overall prob closer to a 3.5 for the friendly service and cutesy interior
google avatar

Alayna K.

Yelp
This brunch restaurant is popular and for good reason! We waited 30 minutes on a weekday, they have long lines, but they will pass by quickly. We were seated and ordered quickly. The most delicious part was the fried chicken Benedict, which had perfectly fried chicken. (8/10) The potatoes were not as crispy as we hoped. The Matcha pancakes were a miss. (6/10) Unfortunately they lacked flavor and fluff. The ambience is perfect for a birthday brunch. Be prepared to wait on the weekends!

Yelp
One of the best brunch places I've been that's ALSO A THAI FUSION?! count me in!! Nestled in the foodie land of Daly City (west lake area), you better get here early because this joint gets packed for breakfast! Me and my partner waited for a bit after joining the waitlist but killed time strolling so it wasn't bad, parking is also relatively easy too; park near the neighborhood. Overall from the service to the decor, it felt like I was transported into a cottage core home ready to relax and catch up with friends and go on a lovely picnic... Portions here are super filling this is what we ordered; Crab corn cake Benedict (4/5): Seafood AND brunch with a Thai twist?! So much flavor and umami, the corn compliments the yolky texture while the crab cake helped retain the crunch overall. I also ordered it with house potato's, comes with a side of cucumber salad with some satay sauce (a peanuty sweet sauce). Just wish the portions were huge Hat yai chicken and waffles (100/5!): My partner told me they used to do bone in pieces but now it's a HUGE slab of boneless juicy chicken! The creamy buttery ice cream compliments the waffle so well. This is easily shareable with 2-3 people! The portion to value ratio was all so worth it! A staple must have when you dine in. Green curry spaghetti (4/5): I honestly thought this would literally just be curry with spaghetti noodles BUT it was a garlicky buttery divine goodness! We opted for beef as the protein ( we always try to diversify the protein options haha). It was honestly a lot, and a unique spin! The curry wasn't too overpowering, the peppers balanced it with sweetness with the sauces. I think the only thing missing is a small side of a roti to scoop up the rest of the curry after In all, I will be coming back here and recommending my friends but making sure we all wake up super early. I'd also like to mention that they offer a dinner menu too which I'll write a separate review in the near future!!

Yelp
I feel like I got catfished because the food looks better than it tastes lol. My family was celebrating my cousin completing his first marathon in the Presidio and I convinced everyone to eat here since it's been on my list. Which also sucks because I hate making a recommendation that doesn't hit the spot. I think it's unfortunate they can't accommodate big parties with a reservation, there was 20 of us. So everyone was seated in different areas. I would say the restaurant is decent size but for some reason I expected it to be bigger. They for sure can't accommodate strollers but they were nice enough for me to park mine behind the check in desk. The decor and ambiance was nice but the bathrooms were meh. Things we ordered: 4/10 Corn fritter crab benedict: I received this cold but didn't want to make a fuss because I was starving. Unfortunately, it was also flavorless. The fritter was under seasoned and the crab was plated in between the two muffins not ON it which I thought was weird. It came with potato/fries which also lacked flavor my toddler wasn't even interested lol. The best thing on the plate was the little salad with cucumbers and what tasted like a red curry sauce. 4/10 Matcha pancakes: I like my pancakes fluffy, I would call these dense and dry. The matcha sauce was watery not a syrup in case that's what you're looking for and it really wasn't creamy either. It tasted more like flowers than matcha lol. My man liked it though 9/10 Golden Bangkok: My mom and aunt ordered this and it was hella good. I regretted not ordering it myself and I'd probably only come back for this. Hella flavor, a little kick and seafood. When I talked to the other people in my party they were also not excited about their orders which included: the chicken and waffles (they said chicken was dry) the steak and eggs ( flavor was good but steak was overcooked) Also, we were charged for the large party gratuity but we weren't even seated together. For what it is and how hyped it was... the presentation might be on point but not worth the $ in my opinion.

Yelp
First time trying kan kiin after wanting to go for months! We got there right when it opened and there were already several people in line behind us. The restaurant is nicely decorated and service is very friendly. Samosa curry puffs: 10/10! I didn't really know what to expect but these were super buttery, fluffy, and had really good flavor Pad thai: 9/10 really good! I loved the taste and texture but it wasn't too big of a dish and I always notice the protein in pad thai is always a bit dry (we chose beef) Hat yai fried chicken: 6/10 not our favorite, it was pretty oily, salty, and not that juicy Mussaman curry 7.5/10 flavor is good and comes with bread on the side. Meat was a bit touch and portion was pretty small Lazy herbal beef: 8/10 steak was a bit dry and not super flavorful. The rice was good but the bottom of the mound ended up being spicier than the top for some reason so I couldn't eat it later on and the sauce was also pretty spicy but had good flavor Seafood tom yum hot pot: 9/10 so good! The soup is sweet and has a variety of seafood Mango a-go-go: 6/10 sounded really good but I'm not sure if those flavors together are too great and it was a bit too sweet instead of refreshing Mango sticky rice: 8/10 the rice was almost too sweet and the mango was nice and ripe Definitely will be craving this place and I'd love to come back for brunch someday!

Yelp
Hype brunch place! We went on a weekend at around 1pm. The wait was around 20 mins and the line was quite fast. Overall the food is decently average and the aesthetics is quite pleasing. We got the French toast and the chicken and waffle. The chicken is crispy and marinated well. The waffle is a bit of a lackluster, nothing too interesting. French toast is delicious. The sweetness is just right.

Yelp
I made a reservation and I was quickly seated. The pad see ew was a 4.5/5. Noodles were a little bit too soggy for me but flavor wise it was great. Not bad for $17. There was an issue with the chicken and it was fried at high temperature which caused the outside to be a little bit dry and the inside to be undercooked still. I left the server know that the chicken was indeed raw in the middle and we didn't really want anything more since we were full and they were kind enough to give us compensation for the chicken. Good service 5/5

Yelp
Stopped by this place with a large group and it did not disappoint! 5/6 of us got the steak and eggs and it was incredible. The spicy fried rice was delicious and full of so much flavor. The Thai iced coffee was overly sweet so would not recommend if you don't like sweet drinks. The portions were large and perfect for leftovers. The inside is really cozy and beautiful, it's definitely a great spot for brunch with friends! They use the Yelp waitlist so make sure to join asap and they will not seat you if your whole party has not arrived. The service was great and the food was served promptly. Looking forward to trying their matcha pancakes next time!

Yelp
Cute restaurant in Daly City. Love the decor and ambience. I had the chicken N waffle and I have to say, it's the best one I've ever had. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and breaded. It had such a great crunch to the chicken and the waffle pair great together. Sweet and savory. Exactly what I wanted. My kids enjoyed their dish as well. The dish was plated nicely too. My waitress was very attentive and checked on us frequently. A+ Recommend to everyone.

Yelp
We came here in a Saturday morning and the wait took about 45 minutes. Parking is atrocious here so plan to spend time looking for parking or park by Home Depot and walk over. I wish they had a join waitlist function on Yelp instead of making you go in and then put your name down (and they use the Yelp waitlist function anyway) because you spend so much time parking, might as well be waiting for table while you're looking for parking! Ok onto the ambience - it's nicely decorated and staff are nice. Has a good brunch vibe. For brunch we ordered the Brussels sprouts and fries, sweet corn fitter crab Benedict and pork belly juk. The Brussels sprouts were good (the fries kinda meh) but I needed some vegetables overall so this was just fine. I saw good reviews for the sweet corn crab Benedict but to be honest it was just ok. The corn fritter felt overcooked and hard to even cut through and the hollandaise was a bit bland. They also had a side of peanut sauce that you usually eat with satay but it didn't go with the Benedict and the wedges were also just ok. I sorta wish they had a Thai fusion hash or home fries which might be better. The pork belly juk was what I was most excited for. Overall it was ok. We asked for an extra piece of Chinese Dough stick and they misheard us and brought an other whole portion of juk and dough stick and said it has to be sold in bundle which is kinda silly especially since we were sharing the juk and would have appreciated having our own dough stick to dip in. The pork belly was good and tasty and the juk had some tom yum flavor/sauce drizzled on top but under was just plain juk which was kinda bland to be honest. I felt like it was missing some acid. In Chinese cuisine we usually have some kind of pickles to eat with juk if it's very plain and had hoped the Tom yum would bring more punch to it. Overall it was fine but i might come back to try dinner but brunch - I'll pass next time.

Yelp
Amazing food. If you like Thai fusion foods this is the place to be. Heavily recommend the JOK pork belly porridge. Reminds me of porridge from back in taiwan. With great pork belly and Thai flavors to enhance it. The Benedict's are all amazing. Love the sauce and again adding Thai spices has enhanced the taste. The corn fritters comes with a great mayo sauce that is a bit tangy and addictive. Price is really affordable compared to other brunch places. Expect around 20$ a dish. Serves alcohol as well. Wines from Napa too. Service is very fast and friendly. When we went it was one waitress serving five tables and she was on it. Ambiance is chic modern decor with pride flags and nice plants on the walls and corners. Great relaxing.

Yelp
Kan Kiin serves perfect instagram food, but it is not all that tasty and doesn't match their high pricing. I do not recommend the drinks - they are lacking both strength and flavor Chicken and Waffle (7/10) - gorgeous presentation, but difficult to eat and the chicken is lacking flavor Tom Yum Pork Belly Porridge (5/10) - meat has a fun texture but the porridge is rather sour. Maybe Tom Yum does not suit my flavor palette Bloody Mary (6/10) - tastes only like spicy tomato juice, which i don't mind. The only problem is that the amount of vodka is lacking. Maybe the juice to alcohol ratio is off? Pineapple Painkiller (4/10) - lacking both flavor and alcohol. I don't even like sweet drinks, but this is both not sweet enough and too watered down. It was also served with tiny stirring straws that were shorter than the glass!?! I had to drink it without a straw The servers were friendly and the food was brought out quickly. I really liked the interior and music choice as well

Yelp
Nice place to have brunch with a gf. Interesting brunch menu with thai infused flavors across the board. :) Matcha buttermilk pancakes :) JOK crispy pork belly - rice congee with generous pieces of crispy wispy pork belly infused with yellow grass flavors :) Brussels and fries - who knew these 2 would go well together? The place is so cute and charming. Parking can be a challenge though. May the parking angel be with you when you come here to dine :)

Yelp
You know I can't stay away from a fusion brunch, and I've only ever BARTed through Daly City so it was fun to explore! We ordered: - Thai iced tea: eh wasn't bad but I've had better - Matcha Caramel Latte: both bitter and sweet, couldn't decide how I felt about it - pork belly congee: so comforting on a cold day. Make sure to mix the liquid on top into the rice, it should be porridge-y not soupy. The savory donut it came with should be dipped! - chicken and waffles: I'm not a chicken person and I could not stop eating the chicken, it was so moist and flavorful. Waffle was standard - American fried rice: not what us Americans think of as "fried rice" but so interesting to explore! Tomato heavy rice, bacon, sausage, egg, and more fried chicken. Delicious but the rice got pretty rich after a while so best to split! Logistics: - indoor seating only - Yelp waitlist for seating; our party of 3 got the last table available at 10:15am on a Sunday right after they opened, it filled up past - limited parking in front, but more mall parking just a block away

Yelp
Came to try their dinner and ordered the catfish claypot, green curry with chicken, and the drunken noodles with beef. The catfish claypot was very good with big pieces of fish. It was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I also enjoyed the green curry with big pieces of eggplant, vegetables, and chicken. The drunken noodles were not the greatest due to the beef was tough and not velvety but large tough to chew chunks as if eating an overly well done piece of steak. Not bad for dinner so far, but could be better in the way the meat is cooked including the chicken being alittle dry as well.

Yelp
Parking: horrible. You have to park two blocks away towards Home Depot. Service: 30-40 mins on a Saturday afternoon. You have to go in person in order to be placed on the Yelp Waitlist. Staff were nice though! Interior: well decorated, appeared clean. Drinks: house tea - just some bagged green teas 2/5. Food: (took around 30 minutes to come out after ordering) - 2/5 for the "Jok" Crispy Pork Pork Porridge. Would not recommend. The texture was a bit off and the pork was dry. The Tom yum flavor made the porridge too sour... the Chinese donut that was served with it was good though! - 2/5 for the Sweet Corn Fritter and Crab cake Benedict's. The corn cake was fried too hard, tasted like they were frozen before. The crab was good, however the hollandaise sauce just was off. My favorite part of this dish was the potatoes.

Yelp
Probably one of my favorite brunch places! The dishes are above average in delivery and the ambiance is really cute. I appreciate the classy feel and floral decor. Friendly service too. My absolute favorite dish is the steak and eggs. The rice reminds me of sticky rice and it's both sweet and spicy! I love me some sunny side up eggs and it just pairs so well with the juicy steak! The matcha buttermilk pancakes are really good compared to other brunch places. I'd recommend the pancakes over the French toast if you're debating between the two!

Yelp
Great brunch! And I want to try out their dinner menu. - Golden BKK: good amount of seafood, very good sauce made out of curry and probably some eggs. It's not too spicy - Matcha pancake: the matcha flavor was not too strong and it was floral. They might not use the ceremonial grade matcha but I get it, it's meant to be for food. - Brioche French toast: good, not great. Great presentation even though I got them delivered.
