The Best Restaurants in Brighton and Hove

"From the moment you see Kanok Thai’s Kermit-green frontage, you’ll crack a smile. Inside, there are cream walls, kitsch floral table runners, and a generally low-key casual set-up. The joy here is provided by what’s on your table. You can expect excellent Thai dining with sweet pineapple rice, spicy kee mow, and a Pantone-worthy colour show of luminous orange sauces, courtesy of the must-order tom yum and pa-neang curry. Also, the affordable prices and its location on Preston Street make it the ideal spot for a stop-off lunch between Brighton Station and the beach. Don’t skip the Thai spicy sausage or the milk tea." - heidi lauth beasley

If you are looking for real Thai food , this is a great choice for you. Confirm by me as Thai people!!! The food is a good test. So yummy, that all I can say. One portion is quite big becarefull if you order when you are hungry 🤣🤣 the price is reasonable for what you've got. The staff are very polite and friendly. I am very impressed. Definitely recommend!!!

We got a lunch deal - £13 for a starter and a main. Very reasonable price for good food. Wasn't particularly blown away by any of the dishes hence only 4 stars, but I do think it's a great food option for Brighton! Service was lovely and when we came here there were only Thai in the restaurant eating, which is always a good sign. Would recommend.

I definitively don’t understand the reviews in this country. Or people overrate everything, or here the restaurants are paying for them. In this case this restaurant was a total disappointment. Very expensive, very small rations, normal quality… I’m sorry, but paying 15£ for a pineapple fried rice chicken with the size of a hand it’s too much. Not to mention the other plates, average price 12£ and really small. And to finish, when we requested the bill, they have added 10% tip, which obviously we haven’t paid cause it doesn’t make sense when you are overpaying for something and the service was minimum. Imagine how were the rations that when we finished dinner there, we went to KFC to have dinner again… So we paid 2 times for dinner for feeling our stomachs well. Obviously we will not return

Nice little restaurant for a quick lunch stop. The set menu is very good value and the Pad Thai was a highlight. Would return. Service also fast and friendly.

A real Thai food. I would recommend the fruity pineapple rice as they mix fry the rice so well that the rice can really bring the scent of pineapple exciting your taste buds. The easy-to-make garlic sauce vegetable is unexpectedly great, having every vegetable provided cooked to a perfect condition! Ahh the size is also of a good size! One dish is above an average Asian appetite!

A warm and inviting restaurant. This is not the place to go if you're seeking a posh atmosphere. But if you are searching for authentic Thai cuisine, you must visit this restaurant. The staff members were very pleasant, and the food was delicious. Unlike many restaurants in London those advertise a particular cuisine but serve something entirely different, this restaurant serves authentic Thai cuisine that is delicious.
