KANPAI JAPANESE SUSHI BAR & GRILL

Amazing find for sushi for an East Coast native while on vacation. We tried the chicken and pork ramen soup and also a variety of sushi rolls. The deep fried california rolls and blue crab rolls were to die for!

The sushi here is authentic. However, thick slices of raw fish with skin is not our style. Also the waiters do not help with the order. The meal with the three appetizers were snotty and slimy. My son likes octopus, it was rubbery and slimy he had to carefully spit it out. Not to offend the people there. Very VERY expensive for the food that we received.

Food is delicious and fresh. Price is a bit high but fair for the quality and portion. A huge parking lot behind the restaurant. So no problem finding a parking. However, there's no sign at the back of the restaurant on the parking lot side. So it will be hard to find the restaurant if not on Sepulveda Blvd. Our waiter was nice. I didn't give a 5 star rating because the restaurant wasn't very clean. The windows to the street probably haven't been cleaned for weeks. The dining furniture was overall sticky and the flooring not clean either. Again, food is good.

This is my go-to when returning to LA, right by LAX (Shen the street from the Parking Spot Sepulveda). Surprisingly quality sushi on its daily special menu. Don't expect much atmosphere.

This place was absolutely amazing. One of the best sushi places I've ever been too. Fish is on point. Whererver they get their fish from I want to know. I want to get my fish the place they get their fish from. If anyone knows please let me know. I would highly recommend this to anyone, in fact I've already recommended it to many of my friends. Their basic sushi menu is where it's at. The sushimi menu is a bit over priced but it's still solid, not worth the flavor in terms of money value. The real value is with the basic sushi menu. I will be back to this place once again. Service is normal, nothing special. Also they are open super late which is super convenient.

great service and decent price for LA and california standard. Nice atmosphere and kind employees. Really needed a space to charge my phone coming out of LAX as I had to order an uber back to Orange County. Was able to charge my phone on the booth seating while slurping some yummy ramen!

Sushi here was great - quality was pretty high and portion size was good. A bit pricey but understandable with the proximity to the airport. Parking can be hard to find as well so plan carefully.

We shared a house salad with ginger dressing and got 2 bowls of ramen. The ramen was delicious! their broth is so flavorful
