"Seated at a small chef’s counter in Capitol Hill’s Chophouse Row, I found chef Sun Hong’s $29-per-person omakase lunch to be a memorable, resourceful experience — a parade of nigiri, hand rolls, and surprise snacks served with friendly quips and casual repartee. Hong’s playful touches (he called a kelp-soaked uni, scallop, and roe dish a “triple threat” before smoothly pivoting into a riff on Kansas City cuisine) make the meal feel personal, while his wife Erin’s management ensures everyone is looked after; the counter has plenty of regulars, including local chefs and bartenders. Though getting in can be a challenge — diners must add their name to a daily signup sheet, often very early in the morning — the effort is worth it to see what Hong has up his sleeve and to experience a model that hints at a broader trend toward lower overhead and reduced waste." - Eater Staff
Such a great airport for general aviation.
Not like Chicago which treats general aviation as big money maker.
No tie down or landing fees and excellent fuel prices.

Great place to ride your bike! They have a large 4-mile loop around the airport that is open to bikes/runners/etc. We love going down with the kids and watching planes/helicopters take off while we ride. Great views of the downtown skyline as well.

I remember my mother always going down to and taking my dad to and from here in the late 60’s early 70’s before KCI was opened

I called ahead and asked about the parking at the Airport. Got great instructions from the airport staff on parking and fuel. There are two tiedown spots over at the fence and no fees at the city terminal.
For a downtown airport I would rate this up near the top if it were not the unmanned City Terminal building.

Did you know that this Airport longest runway is 305 feet longer than the longest runway at Chicago Midway International Airport? And mind you Midway airport in Chicago is southwest airlines second airport in Southwest Airlines system (behind Denver) in ranks of operating flights per day in other words a full loaded B737 or Airbus (weather and temperature depending) can land and take off from here no problem lol!! I flew into this airport 3 days before The chiefs were going to play Buffalo Bills one year during the championship game here in Kansas City and MAN let me tell you the air traffic its absolutely serious! If your plane is not fast be prepared to do some serious listening and flying! but over all love this Airport!
