Recommended by friends who visited Prague earlier this year, Kantyna is a place where meat dreams are made. It's all fun, fashioned as a dining hall from the communist era, and there's plenty of meat, side dishes, and beer to try. They all speak english, not that they need to, but made it really easy to understand what everything was.
As one would expect, the pieces on the menu that took the longest (steak cooked to order versus the "buffet" style meat that is ready when you come up) was the most delicious. The carpaccio, raw steak, was amazingly delicious. My first time trying it and the two sauces they drizzle over everything was sooooooo good. The burger was delicious and juicy and grilled to perfection, but plain. So, do it for the meat. The steak I got was marbled and delicious. I wish I could remember what cut it was, but I went up to the counter and the worker said I want this one. He was absolutely correct. Added the coffee sauce to it which was pretty solid, but not my favorite. Large caveat that I don't like coffee in general.
I believe there were two main types of beer on tap, and even with the wait times for the cooked-to-order food, we had as much meat as our arteries could handle within the span of 40 minutes. Would be fun to come back with a big group and try out more of the sides. I didn't want to waste my stomach space with only two people this time around.
