I might be a little bit biased here cause Karaoke is my thing (not that I’m a good singer just that I love to sing 🤣) but I LOVE THIS PLACE, please just let me stay forever. This is my favorite thing to do and I never had more fun in Mtl 😆 loved everything, the ambiance, the music. This place is such a vibe.

Google
Super super weird place. I’d avoid if possible due to the temperamental owner, it’s not worth performing a song when you have to deal with him. Me and 2 other friends (locals who recommended this place) came here on a very off night (there were about 5 other people in the entire place, not crowded at all). We took a shot and I gave my song request to him, a little while later my friends gave their song request in. They had performed before me which I thought was odd but didn’t say anything. My friends then put another song at least 20 minutes after they performed (so now almost an hour after I performed) and again they performed before me. Thinking my song may have been lost by the bartender/owner I went to the bar to ask if perhaps he lost my song. I was met with really weird hostility. He started yelling at me saying that I just had to wait and that other people put songs before me (which I understand), i tried to explain how my friends went before me twice and he started hitting the sign on the wall that said “be ready for a 3 hour wait IF the bar is busy). Mind you, there were only 8 people here (including myself and my 2 friends). Almost like he didn’t want to deal with me he walked to the side room and drank something then came back and shooed me away. My friends tried to put a song in for me maybe believing he was out to get me specifically but then he never played. We stayed a total of like 2 hours and it really sucked. I’m not gonna say it was racially motivated or anything but I was the only brown person in the entire joint and the only person who didn’t sing at all despite my requests and despite being a paying customer (just like everyone else). So do with that what you will. Overall super weird place and I’m sure there are better karaoke bars to spend your time and money that don’t have a sketchy owner

Absolutely the worst karaoke bar experience I’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, the staff treated us like we were an inconvenience, not paying customers. Rude doesn’t even begin to describe it. No greetings, no smiles, and definitely no hospitality. The atmosphere was tense and uncomfortable — like they didn’t want anyone to have fun. We tried to order drinks and were met with eye-rolls and dismissive attitudes. The microphone setup was a mess, and when we politely asked for help, the staff snapped at us as if we were interrupting their evening. And forget about actually getting a turn to sing unless you’re part of their inner circle. It felt more like an exclusive club of grumpy regulars than a place where everyone can enjoy karaoke. Save your time, money, and dignity — go literally anywhere else. I’ve never left a bar feeling more unwelcome. Disgraceful customer service and a truly toxic vibe.

Google
Pretty cool spot if you're a karaoke fan! Nice decor, pretty good service, even on busy nights. It's a good vibe, and that's coming from someone who isn't really a karaoke fan! The one complaint is that the washrooms are super gross. Thankfully, I'm a guy, so there's minimal contact, but keep that in mind.

Google
Atmosphere is nice but the owner is so rude. Won’t even make eye contact even after paying for drinks. I asked when my song was and he shoved a piece of cardboard between me and the screen and told me to “wait”. My song wasn’t even queued at all. Rude and biased against non-regulars

Google
It’s a steep price at one beverage per an average one song per « grouping » …but, it is in an unpretentious and curated karaoke queue. Song selection really does vary based on paying customers and general crowd vibes, but it’s part of the charm. There’s regular amount of “favouritism” as when any person is acting as the KJ, but depending on how early you’re present it will be a real hub of languages/cultures. ((You may hear I will survive 2-3times within a 4hour window!)) Also, a wide variety of age groups may perform. Plus additional bonus points to them: while the women’s bathroom may be somewhat “dive-bar” vibes, it is generally well-stocked for TP & soap —which is more than most venues on the Main can say !!

The owner put his hand in my face to shut me up when I asked him nicely when was my song. I asked him a second time and he yelled at me saying it was in 25 songs but when I put the song it was in 10... One pinte is almost 15$ and they are horribly mean. I've never been somewhere where I have that much of a bitter taste afterwards. Horrible experience I don't recommend.

Google
I used to recommend this place wholeheartedly. It was worth the trip just to watch the spectacle of the "all-business" owner doing 3 different jobs at once (bartender, karaoke DJ, tambourine player). Sure, he puts one song after the other with ZERO seconds of pause between each, so you have to run to the stage when it's your turn and start singing mid-sentence. Sure, if there's a long instrumental solo in your song, he'll just skip ahead during the song with no warning. Sure, his loud, off-tempo tambourine playing will mess up your timing. But this was all part of the charm of the place. It was an acceptable and amusing level of abuse. Until I went there again last night, and suddenly the pitcher was 33$. Thirty-three dollars. Nuh-huh. You can phunk with my heart all you want, but my wallet is off-limits. Farewell, old friend.

Yelp
The best night of karaoke ever. The place was rockin. Ray's a legend -- bartender, emcee and tambourine sensation. He doesn't have time for your lame song choices or for giving you exactly what you ordered. Stay on his good side by singing bangers and accepting whatever he decides you're drinking.

Yelp
Atmosphere - think trashy karaoke dive - which. can be fun with a lot of people but the hospitality is what ruins it. Hospitality was very poor. The bartender (owner?) was rude to many people in various groups. He refuses certain songs for karaoke and (to be honest) it seemed to be only after he wasn't tipped.... to stop talking to a customer he put his hand in a persons face.... I mean... he could just say he didn't want to talk to the customer.. lol. Would have been a lot of fun, as a dive bar, if the service wasn't bringing down the vibe even more.

Laurent L.

Yelp
Wouldn't recommend this place for the following fractions: Hospitality = 0/10 Understanding the owner = 0/10 Bar's legitimacy = 0/10 Sanitary of the toilets = 0/10 Trust me you feel far away from home.

Yelp
I will just start by saying this: If you show any traits that you're not White, do not go there. Here is my story (which matches a lot of the stories here) Me and my friends walk in and we sit and sing along to people who are singing. We ask for a song who was never played by the -- I believe -- owner. My friend tried to order a beer but was totally ignored by the asian guy (with the blonde wig). I go up to him to know why he doesn't play our song and answers "you buy something, you sing" and I replied that we tried ordering but he brushed us off. He then gives us back our slip with our song where next to it is clearly written "don't matter". He even forbid us to use the bathroom and tried fighting with one of my friends. He then asks for our ID and I require his ID as well then threatens to call the cops on us and reaches for a phone. That was by far the worse customer service if I can even call it that. The owner is most probably very discriminatory and judgemental towards race and WILL NOT SERVE YOU if you have a slight tan or show any signs that you are not White. It is disgusting and I wish not this experience on anyone.

Sadiq S.

Yelp
The East Asian guy with the blonde wig (I'm assuming the owner) is either a racist, a bigot, or very prejudice. I put my name on a song request slip and I ask the owner the process. He said in a stern voice, "You pay $5!" and pointed to a sign. Of course! I took my money out. He tried to serve the guy next to me. The guy was like "this other dude first", but the owner waved me off. So I stood and stared at the owner as he ignored me for 2 mins as he served everyone else. I asked, "Can you please tell me why you're treating me like this?" He waved me off. Eventually he looks at me, "I knew you were trouble the moment I saw you." I told him, "That's called being prejudice" over and over as I left. As soon as I'm outside a girl who was standing next to me grabs me, "What happened?!" I tear up, and I don't get rattled in general. Her friend, who is Punjabi, also a brown person like me, says, "That guy was like that to me too. He told me 'I knew you were trouble the moment I saw you.'" Feel free to read the other reviews on Yelp about this person and then decide if you want to enable this behavior by giving him your money. Yelp
OK when it's dead, but once it's crowded, it's a shitty place. If you expect to sing, don't get your hopes up. You're more than likely going to have to put that song up like 5 times before you can sing it. They seem to have no system to deal with more than 20 people. The bathrooms are also disgusting. No locks on either women and men's bathroom. Dirty and broken as well.

Yelp
Best karaoke bar in Montreal! So much fun - the atmosphere was incredible. We had the time of our lives on a bachelorette weekend. The perfect spot on a Saturday night. Also, I lost my purse there and the bartender got it back to me on a Sunday (even though the bar was closed). 10/10 service

Stef J.

Yelp
Owner ignores everyone. Has an attitude and is very mean. We just tried to have fun and he completely made the experience awful. My friend wanted a song and purchased alcohol and he still never put her song. Would not recommend going there. He picks who he wants to serve depending on who he "likes" by appearance. I dont know how they're still open there were like 5 people on a Friday night.

Joseph A.

Yelp
This place is a scam. Bartender demanded I pay $20 for one song. What kind of a clip joint are you running here? Won't be back.

Juan S.

Yelp
April 24, 2014: 11:40 pm. We walk into the place, walk up to the bar and we ask for prices. Asian man behind the bar not only ignores us but he starts playing his tamborine. After a few minutes of being ignored, he comes up to us, I ask how much pitchers are: "17.00" he replies, I ask him how big are the pitchers, he replies "theyre pitchers, just pitchers". He walks away and brings us a what seemed to be a 2 litre pitcher and asks us for 17$. We asks ourselves if anyone of us actually ordered it. He takes the pitcher from us, yells at us: "go to another bar! Its cheaper there! Go home!" So much for customer service and respect towards your clients.

Yelp
So, ever wonder what it is like to drop nearly $200 at a karaoke bar, not have your song played at all (during a two hour time period), but see the table in front of you (who arrive later), buy one pitcher of beer and get four songs played? Well, this is the place. Absolutely the worst karaoke bar I have been to. They don't do a "first in, first out" system. Instead, it seems as if the guy doing the karaoke only selects by what he wants to listen to. So if you are putting in a song that he does not like, don't expect it to be played. Singing in the shower is a better alternative to this place.

Yelp
Les Trois Minots is quite warm and pretty actually, and it's got some good heart. The space is located on the main drag of St Laurent Boulevard, it looks closed up but it opens whenever they have shows booked and the clamped down exterior belies the well-lit coziness within. I wish it could be open as a bar and performance space all week long, but I understand there could be lots of reasons why this might not be feasible. Size-wise it fills a gap in our salle de spectacles options - it feels fine and cozy with 50 but can squeeze over 200 to even 300ish I suspect (don't ask me if I know this for a fact, gosh officer I couldn't tell you.) As a show space it's got a lot going for it - nice high stage in the back of the room facing the door, another high raised area near the door so folks in the back have an excellent view, plenty of seating, all good sight lines, and layout-wise it seems easy for the sound tech to do a good job. Prices for renting the space are negotiable and fair.

Yelp
Decent. Gets ugly when it gets crowded--it rarely is, so they don't really seem prepared (inadequate seating space, etc.) but a nice place for a few drinks and a band.

Yelp
This place is really cool! When I was there, the Barman was actually the karaoke guy too so it was pretty hectic! Everybody is welcome to sing with the people singing onstage and it's not frowned upon as opposed to some other karaoke bars in town.

Yelp
This place is hilarious. It was dead when we went here but there was just one group of friends monopolizing the karaoke. It seemed like a fun place to actually just do karaoke and drink. It's small and kinda divey place but the bartender seems like fun and there's no expectations! We definitely were having fun for the 15 minutes we stopped in for shots.

Yelp
I absolutely adored this place the first time I went... Got to sing at least 3 songs and the atmosphere was lively. That's why I decided to go back to celebrate my 20th birthday but boy was I disappointed this time around. As we walked in things seemed fun and lively as usual, no room to sit but that wasn't a big deal as it was 12 and bars get busy at that time. 15 minutes in and I decided to go request a song. So how it works at this place is that you walk up to the bar and you write your chosen song on a piece of paper and hand it to whoever is running the bar. I wrote "New York New York" and handed it to him and he just tossed it aside where as I could clearly see that the songs that were in cue were all piled up neatly on the other side of the bar. So I kindly asked him "why did you throw my song away?" And he snaps back "someone already played it" in a very aggressive tone. So I hand him another piece of paper written "sweet child o mine" and he tosses that one aside too. I should have asked him why but at that point I didn't bother, I just walked away. I don't bother with people like that. I'm giving this place 1 star because if it weren't for him I would have enjoyed this place as I always did. Rude, unpleasant and pretentious. He ruins this place.

Yelp
Our group was one of the first to get to the bar. We got at least 2 pints as well as multiple individual drinks. The person who paid one if the pints wanted to sing a song and she spent most of the night waiting for it to come up, which never did. When she went to ask why, the guy at the bar got rude, wouldnt let her speak, and basically scolded her about how she's not a worthy customer and doesnt deserve to get a song. She bought a whole pint! How is that not worthy if one song! You can't just do that to customers simply because your memory is bad and you don't remember how much they spent at your bar. It left us feeling frustrated and upset. We won't be going back.
