"Speakeasy karaoke is indeed a thing. Sort of hidden underneath Greenwich Village’s Le Midi restaurant, Karaoke Cave has a refreshingly laid-back public space, where patrons can belt a first song for free by ordering a drink. Private rooms are also available." - Paul Schrodt

If you're looking for a straight-up karaoke joint, this is the place. It's a large open room with a bar against the wall and several screens spread out. They have two mics and a ton of songs to select from. However, the place is rather dirty, they tend to close a little early (what feels like randomly), and the mics often don't sound well. Yeah, I know - the singers stent the best either, but the actual mics are staticy and don't have the levels adjusted well! Great place to go after you've had a decent night out though.

My group and I went to Karaoke Cave on a Saturday evening; I have been to other Karaoke places and this one is bar far the best. The staff is fun and easy going. The female bartender actually sings duets with you if needed. My girl can sang!!! My friends and I wondered if it was a requirement of getting a job at this place. They have private rooms for small groups, but my group filled up the larger area. Like most Karaoke establishments you have to purchase a drink in order to get your ticket to sing. As far as I know Karaoke Cave has English & some Spanish songs. Bathrooms were clean. I had a great time here and I will be back.

We had a lot of fun singing or hearts away early in the evening one Sunday. One song comes with each drink you buy or you can get a private room for 5 bucks a person. Fun staff, easy going environment.

i absolutely love this place. it is *the* go to karaoke spot in the area if you're looking for something lowkey and energizing at the same time. if you're new to karaoke and/or shy but have been wanting to try it out i definitely recommend coming here. the bartenders are really nice, and everyone is very supportive and there's just good vibes all around. it's a different atmosphere each night and i find the best nights to go are when it's slow but still has a decent amount of people to hype you up. drinks are great, they offer you a free song to sing with each drink. on slow nights you can get one drink and sing as many times as you want! definitely download the healsonic app, it's easier than skimming the book if you happen to know what songs you want to sing. you can also change the language in the app too. i recommend sitting by the bar if it's slow and if you're there with a friend or two, I haven't been to the rooms yet and personally prefer the open space if you like mingling with the crowd. it's a great spot to sing your heart out and it's a wonderful no judgement zone if you're not confident of your voice. *don't* go on a Friday or Saturday night at the bar, it'll take *hours* for your songs to come up. if you DO want to come on these days, get the private room!

It is important to note the word "cave" in the name, as this place really does feel like a cave, located in the basement of a pretty nice French restaurant. You get a free song with every drink purchase or songs without a drink cost $2. There are several private karaoke rooms for groups that cost $8 per hour per person (or $4 during happy hour). The selection of songs is extensive and the sound is excellent.

I hosted my 25th birthday at Karaoke Cave and the service was out of this world!! The staff was extremely polite and patient as we were getting our swerve on. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! You won't be disappointed. Thank you Karaoke Cave for the best birthday party EVER!

Had a great time here and you don't have to sing at all if you don't want to. Buy a drink and get a ticket for a song. Don't want it? Pass it to someone who will take advantage and sing along with the crowd! Super mellow but not great for pictures due to lighting and it's also super diverse! Loved it.
