70 New Restaurants and Bars That Have Opened in San Diego | Eater San Diego

"I saw a 3,000-square-foot market and restaurant from Karina’s Group with a large 2,500-square-foot patio serving popular Karina’s dishes—tacos, burritos, tostadas, and a variety of ceviches—plus whole fried fish, grilled shrimp, seafood cocktails, and a 20-foot seafood counter selling fresh fish and live lobster, with all-day service and extensive happy hour specials." - Candice Woo

Karina’s Ceviche Bar n Tacos is hands down one of the best spots around! The food is always fresh and full of flavor! From the ceviche to the tacos to the Fish, every bite hits. The atmosphere is fun, laid-back, and perfect for a casual night out or grabbing a quick bite. Huge shoutout to Charlene and Arlette who made our experience extra special - their customer service is amazing. They were so friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Service like that really makes a difference and keeps me coming back. If you’re looking for great food, great vibes, and an amazing team, Karina’s Ceviche Bar n Tacos is the place to go!

Unfortunately we had a bad experience at this location in Barrio Logan. It used to be the only Karina’s with impecable service, amazing happy hour deals! Now there is a new manager so no more free chips & salsa, big prices, and our orders were messed up. They got these new fish deals with rice & salad. One wasn’t the fillet they promised, fish had lots of bones & terrible flavor, they didn’t bring the rice until we finished our plate so super late. This was after waiting for over 30min for our plate. (You can see the one plate with a fillet without rice). We still paid full price for this fish & salad! Terrible! We used to be regulars, unfortunately we will never be back. Not worth it!

Incredible selection of tacos and tostadas! I went for the ahi poke tostada (I think it was called) but ended up trying two other delicious tostadas. The happy hour specials hit the spot! Was able to share some of the dishes that came with two items. Our friend was also really happy with her surf & turf burrito & our waitress was super helpful with making our selection. I recommend taking a stroll over to Chicano Park when you're done. Will go back when I'm in San Diego!

This place is a rare find, small, intimate, and simple goodness. Patio is dog friendly, we were just driving around and then saw this Place, it was the Baja style tacos that stole my man's attention. We are suckers for good food and supporting our culture. The beer glasses were ice cold, the salsa had a kick, you could literally taste 3ach individual flavor of the tacos. We had marlin, shrimp, and lobster tacos and tried the ahi Tuna tostadas which also had a nice heat and kick to them. Service was great, smiles all around, you just felt comfortable and ready to eat. Thank you for the great experience.

Food was delicious. Plenty of seating. And also a market selling seafood.

I had the fried fish at Karina’s Ceviche bar ‘N Tacos and it was fantastic! Crispy on the outside and tender inside, perfectly seasoned. The portion was generous, and the salsa was a great touch. I can’t wait to come back for more! Highly recommend!

We used to live in the area and stumbled upon this place, I'm a huge seafood fan and this place did not disappoint! Not only is the staff extremely kind and attentive but the food was delicious! Will definitely keep on coming back, some of the best fish tacos I've had since I've moved to San Diego. ❤️

The carnitas and birria were incredible. The baja fish taco was just ok. Chips & salsa were delicious and the agua fresca was so good. While this is slightly pricier than your average Mexican food, it was worth it. We will be coming back.
