Celebrating my birthday. 1st visit. $5 Valet parking. Really wasn't necessary when we went, so I think when it's not busy patrons should be given the option to self park or valet. The owner greeted us at the door and told us to seat ourselves. Shortly after, he came to our table and said we needed to pay. Well, we were aware of the cover charge and he could have collected it at the door instead of making us feel uncomfortable. The server was very friendly and courteous. I think he served as the server as well as the bartender, maybe was the cook. The food was delicious and the drinks were on point! The entertainer and the entertainer were awesome. She was honor women of color in the music industry. She allowed audience participation in the songs. The manager came over and introduced himself and told us the summer lineup will be including some blues. Looking forward to returning. It was a night to remember as I ended my birthday month

This place is a hidden gem in Atl.!!! We had so much fun! The live music, 🎤 open mic, and the positive energy was amazing! I will definitely be going back on Thursdays!

We went to Kats for open mic night. We really enjoyed this cozy joint. Valet was fast and easy. The owner greeted us at the door… welcoming , professional, cordial, and accommodating. The MC was all the things, including amazing, talented and humorous. The band was incredible,, very skilled and did not miss a beat on any of the request whether familiar or unique. My husband who’s a low key food critic 😂, enjoyed the food and the price. The environment over all was totally a good vibe!

Legendary music venue in the city. Absolutely come for the music and the other events! The vibe is right in this cozy space. The service however always leaves something to be desired. Prepare for slow service and or to be ignored altogether especially if you're riding solo. One of the times I was there another client was served drinks in a chipped glass-they fixed this but still scary. Hope they continue to get better.

Went for free comedy on a Tuesday! Cool vibes, decent bite of food, chill atmosphere and plenty of parking. Comedy show was funny. Would definitely return.

Under new management and I have no complaints. Talent is always top tier, expanding the menu is top tier. Oxtails banging and curry chicken swinging!!! Drinks muah. Did I say talent is on point?! I’m saying it again. Best birthday for me!!!

Great spot for an intimate night out! Live band and phenomenal acts! I went to see Tabbie Sunshine, and she did not disappoint! It's definitely a hole in the wall worth the trip! I will be back once my schedule allows! I do taxes for Roomy Realty Investments, llc! Let us get you right!

Went to see the band was truly pleased with band and the food. I ordered the baked lemon pepper wings with rice and Mac and cheese. The food was excellent. If I had a complaint I would be the size of the place very small but intimate, the no room for a dance floor but that might change its vibe. Definitely a place to visit.

I always have a great time when I visit. The vibe is always feel like I'm at a family reunion. Our waiter was great and made sure we were good and the drinks kept coming. I didn't take a picture of my chocolate drink, but it was delicious!! Be aware that the menu is limited. I appreciate how amazing local artists are able to showcase their gifts with us. I will continue to be a loyal customer at Kat's.I love everything about this place.

The food was good but the menu is very limited. This is Atlanta and they didn't have any wings or fries on the menu!! Lol However, it's a nice vibe. The place is tiny but the music was good. There was a saxophonist there the night we went. The drinks were okay but they ran out of Hennessy... again, this is Atlanta. No Henny!!?? Lol Overall i would visit again and i would recommend others to go.

Singers are great but that DAMN photographer. Taking a zillion photos of the same scene and that awful flash. Some people have sensitivity to flash that causes migraines and seizures.

Although this review is new, best believe I've been coming here for YEARS!!! The vibe is always dope and the live bands/entertainment have always consistently been top notch. Pro Tip: Ask for the Lady Sings The Blues martini. (You're welcome). From the menu to the music to the patrons this will easily become your new go to if you're new to the area and you will desire to return if you're simply visiting. We love you Kat!!

A Hidden gym in the heart of the city!!! The service was welcoming and pleasant. We were here for a friend who was performing and the vibe was amazing. We ordered drinks, a shrimp wrap and quesadillas. The food decent and the drink were on point. There's a Limited menu but I love that they do what they do well. This a definite recommend and I will come again. The valet was professional, quick and kind. One recommend would be to reserve a table; quaint environment and it fills quickly.

Is a wonderful spot for musicians to meet and play quality music! Food and services are very good despite their business! I enjoyed my time in there

Entertainment never fails. I love the live music. It's a vibe for sure. Food and drinks are good as well. Food is simple but perfect for the space.

I really enjoyed my experience at Kats. I love love love dinner and music. I went on Thursday which is open mic night and all of the artists were so good ! It was free entry to get in and only $5 to park. The service drinks and food was good. It was a cheap date night and it was still romantic. I definitely recommend for an inexpensive date with your party or a friend.

Quick tip: If you decide to come, pre-game before you get here or watch them make your drink. They serve juice, not cocktails. Drinks: My bf brought me here (my second time coming), and I wasn't happy with the drinks the first time I came. Same thing happened the second time. Why am I tasting 95% juice and 5% alcohol for a "cocktail"? The manager, who doesn't seem to have any managerial skills, refused to give us sufficient drinks instead of the Tropicana we were served. That's the last attempt I am making to support this establishment. When I called my friends about this place, they apparently took this place off of their lists months ago. Too bad. Customer service (or lack thereof): As soon as our waitress came up she had an attitude. If you don't want to be at work, stay home. Even the couple that was sitting behind us snapped at her because of her attitude. 2 thumbs down. Would I recommend? Absolutely not. Will I be back? No. I want to like this place so badly, but Atlanta has way too many restaurants to blink an eye about this one.

I really like the vibe at this spot. Happy hour martinis will get you right and the entertainment is dope. Food is good but nothing to write home about. Overall, def recommended for an adult vibe.

I have one comment. I can't get myself to go back after my card was skimmed here. I used my card here. Within 48 hrs, someone decided to start a business on my dime. Bought $1800 worth of barbershop equipment. The bank had my back. Kat's Cafe stabbed me in the back. This KAT is shady.

Ambiance venue and live music are alway amsizng! Strong drinks for a good price. But the food needs a lot of work. We had the honey chicken pizza it tasted frozen. Even the crust was bad.

Understaffed! Drinks watered down with Syrup, food never came. We only went to support a family member signing.

I typically go on a Tuesday for comedy night, it's such a fun date night. I've also gone on a Thursday and listened to the talent. It's lowkey and chill. Food is good, drinks are ok. I will definitely go again.

This is a nice small Cafe pub with live music. The food menu is salads, specialized pizza, and wraps. Nice vibe and energy. Fun spot.

I visited this place on a Saturday. I hear so much of this place. first off, they have a valet charge, a cover charge and the service was not the best. we waited for atleast 30 minutes for our pizza, and the people next to us ordered 15 minutes before us, they didnt get there food at all. Im going to call him " the milk dug headed" waiter, he just left them, never checked back on them, but was on the dance floor frolickin. I felt bad for them, they had to go get their check from the bar. We really came for the band, but didn't know they were doing cover bands for the night. In all, I rate my experience at 3 stars.

Wish I could give them ten stars. The one and only drawback was getting seated when I had a reserved table. Took us a little while to get our table, but it was well worth it. The wait staff was awesome and they came back several times to check on us. The band--Tabitha King And Friends--was absolutely fantastic!! Just wish the club was a little bit larger and had more parking. I will be back, will just have to arrive a bit earlier.

Horrible service from entering . Lady at door was rude and charger 26 dollars per person. The waitress threw the menu at on the table. One dirty menu. Service sucks establishment dirty all the way to the ladies room. Best part was the valley guy..

I'm everything live music amongst local neighborhoods & finally made my way to here to who's name says it all. Lack of a star for the horrible bar service, as I & another patron sat at the bar for over 15 minutes without a single hello or nod our way. Once the young lady came over we bombarded her with our orders. I ended up having a liquid meal as there's nothing for the V-Crew, minus a bland looking salad. With the heavy plant based options nowadays, it should be an easy note (get it) to add an item for the V-Crew on the slim menu as it is. There's a $10 Cover Door, $5 for Valet & the restrooms needed to be tidied up. Overall a quaint, hole in the wall (good way) music cafe located down the steps/hill from the Piedmont Avenue address...you really have to look for the hanging signage. I'll be back & will eat beforehand.

Go for the music and entertainment. The venue is a little small and the menu is limited. However, if you just want to enjoy some live music. Maybe get a drink or two with some pizza. Then Kat's Cafe is worth the visit.

We were there late (11:30, hour and a half before closing) however the service took forever and our waiter was really upset the whole time! Other than that, super cute place and the food was amazing. They had an awesome DJ, and the specialty drinks were super yummy.

I'm part of a jazz/r&b group from New York that was supposed to perform at Kat's during a tour in 2020 that was postponed because of the pandemic. For the past few months, we have been trying to reschedule our show, but Isaac treated us very unprofessionally. He told us that we had a specific date reserved on the calendar but later said it wasn't available (after we booked our travel and accommodations), promised to return our phone calls but never did, didn't respond to any voicemails and emails, and even hung up on us during our last conversation. Please be very careful and thorough if you decide to do business with them.

Finding this place was kind of confusing at first because the GPS brought us to a different location. The signage is HORRIBLE. It's black with very faint gold lettering. You literally can't see it at night. I came here for a pre-Valentine's Day comedy show and had such a good time! We showed up around 8pm and made it just in time for Happy Hour. Drinks were only $5. They had a whole Valentine's theme going, so I ordered the baby maker (ha-ha). We reserved seats on Eventbrite so we could sit up front for the show, but we could have also just walked in and sat anywhere. I will say that by 9pm it was packed and seating became limited. They had waitresses coming around for patrons to take food and drink orders, which was great (but service was a bit slow). The emcee that night was Tyler Chronicles or Tyler the Chronic Comic from Bossip/WE tv. He was great and really had the crowd going. That night comics from Def Jam, Comedy Central, and many local comedians were there. It was a great experience. I would definitely go back and check out another show there.

Definitely go check out live music at this midtown staple. Went on a Saturday night and there were singers and musicians featured usually jazz and r&b music. This is a nice spot for a date or intimate setting but there's not much talking if you're close to the show. A few large tables for groups are available as well. The place definitely requires reservations or you could end up standing or with an obstructed view. I believe there are two shows each weekend night.

The music was good. The wine was horrible. I ordered a Malbec and it was flat. The server went to talk to the bartender, who said that's the carbonation of the wine. Malbec isn't carbonated. I still had to pay for the extremely ripe wine that I sent back. Stick to the mixed drinks. My friend's wine was flat and had something floating in it.

I'm glad we finally made it to Kat's Cafe last night. All this time I assumed Kat was a man. ‍ Kat is a woman bringing live music and entertainment for the culture! I've been saying I'm going for years...Don't be like me, go check out this intimate live music venue. We started at the bar for drinks and moved to a table for the show. The food menu is limited but the drinks and music were all that! I'd have given them 5 stars if they had some more items in the menu and if the service was faster. Eva Kennedy was amazing! The Maestro, the guy she had sing w/ her on the 1st set and she had sing a sing at the end of the last set was awesome also! He turned the place out! The atmosphere was lit for the grown and sexy! We had a GREAT time last night. I can't wait to return. They also have spoken word, open mic, & comedy nights. We paid a $10 cover last night and it was worth it. There's complimentary valet on-site. I like the artwork, mainly of music artists on the walls. The fireplace is a nice touch. The bathroom was clean.

Great spot with a fun and welcoming atmosphere. My wife and I went for the first time 8/2/2022 for open mic night and had a great time. The manager and staff were very accommodating, the comedians were outstanding and the food/drinks were great. We'll definitely make Kat's Cafe a regular date night spot. We live an hour away but it's worth the drive for us.

Cool place to frequent for a night out with girlfriends or a date. The menu consists of pizza, quesadillas, grilled Shrimp, wraps, salad.. to name a few. Live music was nice. Mature crowd. Their drinks were tasty. It's a small quaint place. It reminds you of a basement feel. Overall, cool place and I'll def be back.

Last night was my first night going to this establishment it was nice. Crowded. So seats were first come first serve. The only issue I had was that the server failed to let me know that she was going to charge me for another drink (Shirley temple) when I asked for a refill. I'm a server myself so the least you could've done was given me the choice to see if I wanted to pay for ANOTHER Shirley temple just for the grenadine. Also next time she needs to introduce herself and actually smile.

The place is cute and very quaint, but it's 1) over packed, 2) not a lot of staff to help. The music was good. I went on a Saturday night whereas singer Eva Kennedy performed, which was good. The down side is it literally took us 30 minutes to be seated, granted I made reservations. It took an extra 50 mins for us to get a waiter at our table( I had to ask management), the drinks was SUPERLY water downed. I had a pregnant cousin with my party, and instead of asking her what she wanted to eat, this waiter asked if she was thirsty... really? Mind you, it took an extra 45- 55 mins just to even get the drinks! Also, I had a party of 8.... There was 7 chairs... where was the other chair? They sat us close to stage, and stated they couldn't bring an extra chair cause that would close the entrance where the stage was.... But I made this reservation days before.. ok. My friend and her man left cause there was no sitting for him. The waiter was super over worked, BARELY even came and checked on us to the point we had to check out at the damn bar. When most of my ppl left due to the lack of service, some RANDOM person literally made themselves comfortable by sitting at our table. Like....who is this? Are they with you?! They not with me! I would say this place is good for date, if you make red ahead of time...for 2 lol and DEFINITELY pregame before if you drink. You won't even get a buzz ordering one of their "specialty" drinks, let alone two.

Great supper club and live music. The artist Tabitha King is royalty in ATL enjoyed our time.

I did not stay long enough to really assess the place. Let's than 15 minutes. In that short time I perceived a nice look and ambience inside. However what drove me out so fast was the loudness of the music. They had a DJ playing. This place is small, like maybe the size a great room plus dinning room in an average suburban Atl home. Say 10 square yards. Yet the DJ had the volume as if he were in a 40 square yard sized club with high ceiling packed with over 1000 people! It was way too much so I left. Good thing the valet was less than ten.

We went on a Friday night and enjoyed the live music. Valet parking is free but just remember to tip them. I've been here quit a few times. It was free the first 4 times that I went , then they charged $10 one time and then it was free the last time so I'm not sure what that's about. The place is really tiny so get there early unless you'll be sitting in the back or standing up. We ordered the seafood pizza and it wasn't bad, not the best but not bad either. Music was great!

The drinks...meh. Filled to the rim with ice. Nevertheless I drunk it with no problem. You should have a good time.

We stumbled upon this place last night after eating dinner in Midtown, and I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. Ms. Kat has created a bar/venue with a super cool vibe, good drinks, great service, and amazing music and entertainment. Ms. Kat herself adds a personal touch by making a point to continually speak to the guests and generally help, which, to me, adds something special to the place. Her blood, sweat, tears, and soul are in this place, and you can tell by the wonderful experience that has been created. 100% will be returning. Be sure to check this place out!

Kat's Cafe is on Piedmont Road and it's very easy to miss (I passed it three times). It's at the bottom of a building on the left side, right before you get to 10th street. If you're going to a planned event, it's best to get there early. Parking is free and right outside of or behind the building. I imagine it fills up quickly, so get there early if you can. I went on a Tuesday night for their free comedy show. My cheeks were hurting from laughing so much. The ambiance and decor isn't amazing; the comedians even made a joke about the exposed pipes. I like that they don't require you to purchase items. Larger clubs and even restaurants charge a cover or a minimum for comedy or live shows, even when you get "free tickets." The food and drinks were pretty good. I noticed that almost everyone had a few items and the pizzas were popular. I got two drinks and a quesadilla for less than $25. The talent and the staff are what will keep me coming back. My server was awesome, I got my food really fast and she checked on me throughout the evening. Kat's Cafe is definitely worth a visit.

My Friends and I try to go to new places... This place was recommended because of the live music. Here is my experience:) On Friday we finally decided where we wanted to have drinks... After reading reviews, it was highly suggested to make reservations. I called 6 times and left a voicemail... Finally someone answered and stated that they didn't take reservations that I need to come as early as possible. This place is very hard to find but the valet was great in directing me where to go. Once I came in the place the guy at the front was very inviting and informative... It was a Saturday night so the cover charge was 10$. I paid the covered charge, while waiting on a table (there was only 3 other ppl in there) one of the waitresses informed me that they didn't have a table for us because I didn't have a reservation. I was the first from my party and had every intention on calling them to say we would have to go somewhere else. At this point I was extremely irritated. I simply asked for my cover charge back, then everything changed. WE GOT A TABLE!! It wasn't in the best place but it wasn't horrible neither. I had the baby maker and honey bbq chicken wrap. My friends had the honey bbq chicken pizza and the juke joint. The service is ok... The music is awesome so you don't even realize if the service is bad... Be prepared to sit on top of one another is you sit in the back. The music is awesome!!! I'm a fan of Trey Daniels and he was there that night for a quick minute and that was a great surprise... Overall my friends and I had a great time. Ohhh the valet is free but if you come at a busy time you will wait.

Always a good time at Kats Kafe! I had a live music itch I needed scratched so I shimmied out to Kats. Think speakeasy or underground club feel. Very easy and full of beautiful folk. Parking is barely an issue as the valet parking is free. Just leave a tip. The menu is limited but good. Pizza, quesadillas and sandwiches. I always get the chicken fajita quesadilla because they are just right every single time. Also, I'm not big on pizza. The bartenders are great at crafting my French Martini so I'm golden. Now back to Thursday night's. FREE!!!!! The best in town for no door charge. Seven, the host, may pass the offering plate a few times but it's well worth the experience. The show usually starts around 9 and ends about midnight. Standing room only after 10:30 unless someone leaves. Get there.

So my family and I went here Friday night in celebration of my brother-in-law's birthday. Made reservations that day, never been here before and not aware of this lounge at all. Needless to say we had an issue with being seated, we weren't happy at all, spoke to the manager Jay, he explained their policy to us, we were not made to feel welcomed in this establishment for the 1st time. After going back and forth and expressing our concern, my Bro was given a complimentary drink and Jay accommodated us and we had wonderful seats near the Live band Reci Reign, which was amazing!!! We enjoyed the music from the DJ prior to the band, my family enjoyed the drinks, food and we truly enjoyed the atmosphere. It is a nice, quaint place and best thing to do is make reservations far in advance. Thank you Jay for accommodating us and we felt very welcomed!!! We will be back.

The shrimp, drinks, service, Entertamement, and location was GREAT! I will definitely be returning. The Valet parking makes it easy to get in and out.

They offer $5 martini's. They pick a different one each night . Make sure you get reservations. We didn't think we needed one on a Tuesday night but the place was packed by 9pm. Luckily we arrived at 8 and were able to get good seats. If you are late, best thing to do is share a table with strangers, folks did it all night. Tuesday is improv night which is more like stand-up comedy night. They have some great acts and some not so great. Most of the acts cracked us up. Thursday they do Jam sessions and Friday/Saturday is live funk. They offer a handful of things on the menu (typical bar food such as salads and quesadilla's, wraps) However the pizza is not ordinary! We tried the Bayou Pizza that contains shrimp, tilapia , onions, peppers, a red sauce. It was spicy and peppery and very amazing. My boyfriend and I shared it and ate till we were stuffed. FYI a pizza can feed 2 hungry people or 3 who want 2 slices. Overall we had a fabulous night! The waitress was very slow but she had the whole place under control so I couldn't be mad at her. Great ambiance, nice and cozy with low level lighting (it's a basement ya'll). I am told it's perfect for Jazz since it's not meant to be very loud and in large venues it gets drowned out. We came for the scoutmob and now plan to return as regulars.

This is a fun spot! Every time I've come I've had a great time. Service & food can sometimes be slow but the food is good and the waitresses & hosts are nice and working hard to take care of you. Friday night dj is awesome! All of the performers have been great! My only complaint is the watered down drinks.
