Katsuya Century City

I wanted to come on here to express how lovely and AMAZING of a server Zelli was during my visit. She was super attentive and took the time to explain the menu from top to bottom for me as a first-time customer. We decided to order several of her recommended dishes, such as the Rock and Roll, and it did not disappoint! I am only docking a star for food for the nigiri and yellowtail, which I felt was lacking flavor.

What a beautiful venue. Very lively and the ambiance was very pleasant. Also had amazing service by Vivian! She made our entire dining experience! Very sweet and funny. The food was great! Cannot wait to be back! Get the orange dessert it was my favorite!

The atmosphere of this restaurant is fabulous! It is tucked away in the mall and is gorgeous. The staff are friendly and enjoyable to talk to. I would say the only thing that threw me was the food. I expected the sushi to be the best sushi I have ever had. It is good but nothing to scream about. I think I would go again to try other things than the chirashi and the spicy salmon crispy rice. I would recommend if you needed a place to meet up for drinks!

We had been eagerly anticipating the opening of Katsuya, so we were excited to finally have the chance to dine there. Although the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, we still had to wait about 10 minutes despite having a reservation. Our server was warm, attentive, and professional, which set a positive tone for the evening. The ambiance was inviting, with well-curated lighting and a great selection of music that added to the overall atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to our expectations. Many of the dishes were overly oily and lacked the flavor we were hoping for. For instance, the Crispy Rice with spicy tuna had an unusual taste that didn’t quite hit the mark. The highlight of the meal was the Century Sushi, which was delicious—but at $56 for just eight pieces (granted, topped with caviar), it felt a bit overpriced. We hope the restaurant makes some adjustments to the food quality and pricing, as we’d love to return and have a better experience next time.

My boyfriend and I have been waiting a long time for Katsuya to finally open. We live closer to the Brentwood location but this is going to be our new go-to. The restaurant is beautiful and open with a gorgeous bar. They had our classic favorites (Brussels sprouts, baked crab hand rolls) and our server pointed out exclusive crispy rice alternatives they have only at this location! The wagyu crispy rice is a must try !!!! Thank you Zelli, we will be back!

was in the area for vacation, afamily invited me for a dinner, was disappoibted with the taste. karage taste like chicken nuggests, unfortuntely i don’t have the picture of the so called karage. Even my family who invited me they are not even satisfied with the taste. Atmosphere is classy, service was a bit slow. Extremely pricy for the taste.

Came during the soft opening. They didn’t have my reservation in the system, I called an hour before and the staff seemed confused. Took about 10-15 mins for them to figure it out. The internet and system was down, staff had to use their person hot spot to keep things functioning. Food was decent, service was good. A bit pricey for what you get. Presentation was nice. Sushi quality could be better for the price, nothing was super unique & special. Steak was leaning towards the well done side, hard to chew and tough. Desserts were interesting but underwhelming for the price.

The restaurant feels chic and modern, with a sleek interior that fits right in with the buzz of Century City and opened lately. Signature dishes like the crispy rice with spicy tuna and the yellowtail jalapeño are definite standouts, (honestly I don’t know what is the big deal?! Those dishes are popular everywhere) The cocktails are equally stylish but Nothing really special actually. Not bad, just basic. Prices lean on the higher side. I hate I just ordered a little bit more and the price went as high as a Michelin-star restaurant when i checked out, which really was out of my expectation. Highly think it is not worth a Michelin-star ‘s price. So be careful of the price, some are overpriced. Overall, A so-so place. Not considering to go again. Good to just experience once. Summer time, I just wanna get cold and light dishes with beautiful cocktails. Not too bad, it is just overpriced for some dishes like bronzino. I could get the same quality with a much better price. Just wanna relax to eat in a so-so restaurant but still can not relax with the human trap in a business world. Tips: remember to check your bill because the mistakes that happened a few times during my dining. For example: the busboy sent a wrong dish to our table at least 2 times, and accidentally charged the item I did not order. Once again::: pricey pricey and be careful of hidden fee 5% of wellness blah if you did not pay attention. It is not about money. It is because it is not worth it. The service is messy too. Nothing special here but overpriced.

We come to Katsuya for our weekly team meetings, and it has truly become one of our favorite spots. The food is always delicious, consistently fresh, and beautifully presented. The service is just as great , the staff is attentive, friendly, and always makes us feel welcomed. It's the perfect place for good food, good vibes, and productive meetings. We love it here! Absolutely amazing, Zelli had really great suggestions that I loved so much. This place is definitely at the top of my list for fav sushi spots. Customer service was great and overall a super friendly cute place.My server was the best, she was very helpful and I just can't get over what great service she provided.

I never leave reviews but this spot was too good not to. The food was delicious, everything came out fresh and full of flavor, and the whole vibe was just right. Our server Zelli was amazing! She's super sweet, attentive, and her recommendations were all on point. You can tell she really cares about her guests and loves what she does. Between the good food, great service, and chill atmosphere, this place easily became a new favorite.

Katsuya is my favorite Japanese / Asian fusion restaurant, this new location didn't disappoint. We came in for some drinks and snack before our dinner at Casa Dani next door. These two restaurants share the same space actually. Both are gorgeous and spacious. The bar and lounge area of Katsuya is outdoor, the heater was too warm for me! We tried a couple grey goose and Vesper martinis, also blistered shishito peppers to snack on. Our bartender was so accommodating that he pulled Grey Goose vodka out for us. Our bar time was very relaxing with great martinis. We will come back soon for a full meal at this new Katsuya!

I had an incredible dining experience at Katsuya Century City! From start to finish, everything was outstanding. Our server, Ashley, made the evening truly special -- she was warm, attentive, and had great recommendations. The tomahawk short rib was absolutely phenomenal -- incredibly tender, rich in flavor, and beautifully presented. The baked crab hand rolls were another highlight, perfectly warm, creamy, and addicting. And don't miss the Japanese sweet potato -- caramelized, buttery, and the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Katsuya never disappoints, and this visit was no exception. Can't wait to come back!

Had a wonderful dinner at Katsuya Century City, and was pleasantly surprised by how vegetarian-friendly it was. The Cucumber Sunomono was light, crisp, and refreshing.. can honestly say never had anything like that before. The Seaweed Salad followed up was a satisfying finish. What truly elevated the experience was my server Jahzelli or "Zelli" :) She recommended both dishes and her warmth set the tone for our experience. It's rare to find a server so joyous so will definitely be back just for her

I had the best experience here! The restaurant is gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the service was spectacular. Really, what more could you want?! My friend and I split the salmon sashimi, cucumber sunomono, miso black cod, and spicy tuna crispy rice. All were immensely flavorful -- I LOVED the cod, but all four were absolutely worth getting. I also had the espresso martini and it was perfect. It was my friend's birthday and we got the chocolate lava cake which was INSANE. They also surprised us with mochi! All in all a fabulous experience. Would definitely come back!

Katsuya in Century City is stunning, expansive, high-ceilinged, and beautifully designed. It has that polished, modern energy that immediately sets the tone. We stopped in for cocktails and a few appetizers before our reservation at Casa Dani, and the experience was excellent. Service at the bar was especially impressive; Ari, our bartender, was attentive, personable, and crafted truly exceptional cocktails. We ordered the Wagyu dumplings, which were outstanding; rich, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The truffle-powdered Wagyu slices were another highlight: tender, aromatic, and melt-in-your-mouth. The Salmon Hamachi with Japanese pear was bright, refreshing, and beautifully balanced, light yet full of flavor. We also had Uni and Toro sushi (two pieces each), both phenomenal. Silky, fresh, and rich with that deep, clean ocean flavor that only high-quality fish delivers. I enjoyed the experience so much that I went back for lunch later that week. I ordered their signature lunch set, and it was absolutely the right call. An assortment of different bites, all delicious, served quickly, and at a great value. Highly recommend it if you're in the area during lunchtime. Overall, Katsuya at Century City is definitely worth a visit, whether for a quick lunch, cocktails and appetizers, or a full dinner. Consistently great food, excellent service, and a beautiful space.

We had dinner at Katsuya in Century City and thought it was "fine" overall. The food was good and our server was attentive, but the pacing of the meal was off - dishes didn't come out together, and a few people were finished while others were still waiting. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy, so that was a little disappointing. That said, it's a comfortable, modern space with plenty of seating. Prices are on the high side, but it's Westfield Century City - I'm sure the rent is astronomical. Not a bad experience, just not quite as polished as you'd expect at this price point.

Katsuya Century City Katsuya's got this grand vibe that I absolutely loved! Those massive lights hanging from the vaulted ceiling were a total eye-catcher. Plus, the multiple kitchen setups were a blast, showing off their versatility. Top things I enjoyed: the crispy rice, tempura, chirashi, and sweet potato. Their sushi was fantastic, just like I expected. The service was super friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. I also liked that we could order from Casa Dani, the restaurant next door! It was a great way to enjoy a different theme at the same table.

This new Katsuya restaurant is located inside of the century city mall. It's a beautiful, open, and well-lit space. Our server was very kind to us, along with all other staff members. With this aside, there were a few issues with our experience. For starters, we were told to walk ourselves to the bar by the hostess, which we didn't mind doing, except for when we got to the bar a man in a suit (I'm assuming a manager) was confused as to why we were sitting down and didn't have much sympathy for when we explained we were instructed to do so. The actual pacing of the meal was inconsistent. All of our appetizers came out very quickly but then the main dishes took much longer. There was a 15 minute gap in between my sister's entree and mine. We were comped with a free dessert, which was nice. We both enjoyed the food but agreed we wouldn't return until the restaurant developed a better flow and higher service quality.

Stunning location for an exceptional evening! This new location is by far the most upscale and the menu prices reflect that. However, service is wonderful and the food delicious! A great place for a celebration. They have ample of seating options including bar. I didn't realize that there are slight variations of menu across the various locations but was happy to see they now offer a couple of omakase options!

The new Katsuya is beautiful in the Century City mall but BUYER BEWARE! We called ahead to make sure they accepted gift cards here because we had been gifted one and they told us they did. Well AFTER our meal, they told us they actually don't accept gift cards. That is some scam behavior and honestly unacceptable from a restaurant of this caliber. I will never return.

We visited Katsuya for lunch on Saturday and walked in without a reservation. We waited about 15 minutes for a table. According to our server, the restaurant had only been open for about three weeks. I really loved the open layout and high ceilings, featuring huge bell-style ceiling lights and a stylish bar. The atmosphere was very relaxed and chill. The food exceeded my expectations. I tried the Power Lunch Prix Fixe ($38), which includes miso soup and a choice of one appetizer and one main course. For the appetizer, I picked the Yellowtail Jalapeño, which was fresh and flavorful. The Miso Black Cod as the main was delicious and perfectly cooked! The Wagyu New York 10oz ($56) was also amazing--tender and packed with flavor. The Katsuya Roll ($25) was good, and the Spicy Edamame ($11) was full of flavor. For dessert, we ordered The Orange ($16)--fantastic in both presentation and taste! A must-try. The Kakigōri ($16) was also good. The service was great! Our server was very friendly and attentive. The only downside was that the air conditioning didn't feel very cool--we're not sure why. Still, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Katsuya and will definitely come back to try more dishes!

Went for dinner yesterday with one of my girly pops! The reservation process was easy , made a reservation before we went shopping then went to Katsuya afterwards. The entire team we encountered were polite & great vibes. The music is fun & inviting, the food is delicious, and the team was so kind. Great food and vibes!

For some reason, I ended up on the Westfield Century City email list so when I read that Casa Dani/Katsuya finally opened in the previous Rock Sugar space, I was looking forward to checking them out. Visible from Santa Monica Blvd., the entrance is directly across from Javier's. You're welcomed by a host/hostess, and then guided to either Katsuya or hook a left to Casa Dani. Due to the time that I arrived, only the Garden Bar was open for business while in between lunch and dinner hours. There is no happy hour at this time, but they do have limited offerings on small plates. I chose the wrong day to visit though due to it being the hottest day that we've had in a while, and once you look up, you realize the Garden Bar area is an open-air space. The bar itself was very hot to the touch, and I felt bad for the bartender who was out there in long sleeves and a vest. Thankfully the sun wasn't beaming directly at the bar (anymore), but it sure felt like it. Restrooms were through the doors to the left, and are unisex. Luis at the bar was great! He was very informative with all of my questions and if he didn't know, he found out from someone else. The only thing I wanted on that limited menu was crispy rice but with avocado, but only the spicy tuna was listed. It didn't hurt to ask, and this substitution was no issue. Compared to other places where I've had this item, the four pieces were tiny. Avocado slices were fresh, and to be honest, I've had better rice cakes elsewhere. However, it was still enjoyable and I finished this off within minutes. Presented with my check, they do the 5% wellness surcharge which can be removed, and he was happy to do so. This was a first for Century City mall but this restaurant happens to be under the sbe company which most likely explains why. Explored Casa Dani since they were opened by the time I left and it was A LOT cooler since they're located indoors. Looked nice in here, so I look forward to trying them as well. I almost second guessed staying due to the heat and limited menu during my time there (3p-5p), but overall I'm glad I did.

On a whim craving sushi my husband and I decided to check out the new katsuya in the century city mall. I mistakingly made a reservation at the Brentwood location. Upon arrival they didn't have my reservation in the system but they were nice enough to squeeze us in on a busy Friday night.. I've been waiting for the opening of this location for what seems like years. And boy is this restaurant impressive and worth the wait. The interior is absolutely stunning. Gorgeous high ceilings, beautiful finishes, stunning outdoor patio and a beautiful sushi bar. I've been to all the other katsuya locations. From the fanciest to the hole in the wall casual spots. My expectations were low, but I was extremely impressed by this new katsuya. The menu was super creative and unique. They had several new menu items, but still kept their og signature dishes. We decided to be adventurous and try some new items. I loved the wagyu crispy rice and the wagyu tataki. The meat was buttery and literally melts in your mouth. And you can't go wrong with the katsuya signatures, yellowtail jalapeño, albacore sashimi with crispy onions, the spicy tuna cut roll with shrimp tempura. But the real stand out of the night, even more than the food, was the outstanding service by our server Alex. I've never seen someone so happy to be at work. He had the most amazing energy and he really made the experience enjoyable. Definitely look forward to coming back and ask to be seated in Alex's section.

I came here during their first week and it was so busy and the servers were all over the place but everyone was so nice, professional and friendly. This is a brand new opening so I can understand when there are some hiccups in timing or food being subpar but I actually had an amazing time!! The food delivery was amazing. The only problem we had was drinks took a very long time. Maybe 30 min to an hour wait? And we even sent a drink back bc it wasn't what we expected or tasted bland. But It's okay because we knew everyone was new and working out kinks. Management came by and explained/ apologized. We got new drinks! It all worked out. Delilah was our server and she was very acknowledged in the food menu, she gave us her faves and timed our meal perfectly! Her and Vivian were spectacular! Thank you to both! We really enjoyed our time because the energy was uplifting, the food presentation was excellent and the vibes were there! Also shoutout to the chefs who were hand delivering certain items and saying hello to the tables. This is what I like to see. The salmon and cod was sooooo good! The orange dessert was amazing. Also the king crab legs wow! Maybe some patients and thorough communication is all you need for a perfect dining experience!

Enjoyed dinner here and think it's a great Japanese fusion spot that's good for folks who don't want traditional sushi or Japanese food. I enjoyed the shishito peppers (got a more spicy batch), miso black cod, rock shrimp, yellowtail jalapeño, and spicy tuna crispy rice. The "signature" crab hand rolls tasted like crab sticks and weren't my favorite. Cocktails were a tad sweet for my taste. Service seemed attentive, and the space is fairly large so it's good for a last minute meal with a group.

Great atmosphere & sushi!!! Needed a new fun restaurant and this is it!!! Look forward to coming back.

The thing you have to understand about a restaurant is that it is two distinct groups - a kitchen, which prepares food, and a front-of-house, which provides hospitality. To be a great restaurant, both of these groups need to stand out. Katsuya Century City is the second restaurant to bear that name (the Brentwood flagship was both trend-setting and innovative) and is an anchor investment in the Westfield Century City shopping plaza by SBE Group - our server positioned it as "$30 Million down the drain." Unfortunate phrasing, to say the least. Hopefully the bet pays off. It's painted on a grand canvas, with 30-foot ceilings and what I'm told is the "most aesthetic bar" (god, why do young people use nouns as adjectives). Still, even with the restaurant half full, coordination in the dining room seemed disjointed and passionless. The hosts cry "Irasshaimase" to a stony silence. Dishes arrive in random order, uncoursed, without ceremony or conviction. You get the impression that servers have never tasted any of it and would just as soon slap a burger and fries in front of you. Contrast this with Zinq upstairs. The casual bistro's servers would spend an hour extolling the virtues of the magnificent branzino their fishmonger is able to acquire, how they're as good as the ones right out of the Med. That's how you do hospitality. You care about how your guests feel when they sit down, when they order, how the food comes out, if they're happy, how they feel as they leave. Being a good host is basic and integral to being a good restaurant. The opposite is, in the case of Katsuya CC, staffing the aforementioned bar with one overwhelmed bartender who gets your first drink to you just as you're about to leave. Or the server who's uninterested in your experience and too quick to offer the check. The host who needs her menus back. The bussers who want to whisk food away that you're still eating. The dishes that arrive main-sides-starter-salad, splashed around like a Pollock. The food at Katsuya CC is outstanding. But why shouldn't it be? Any robata from Sushi Roku to Blue Ribbon Sushi can do a mouthwatering Black Cod with Miso Glaze. Katsuya's ingredients are first rate and its kitchen is top notch, but that's not enough. Maybe next year it'll feel less like a soft-launch in the dining room, but for right now, you can get the same meal at the same price delivered with greater care and attention to detail in other fine restaurants around town, including the original Katsuya.

Went here on a weeknight and it was easy to grab a reservation the day of. I was treated to this meal but I don't think I'd come back on my own dime considering the quality of the food. PROS: We had the BEST server. She had a lot of recommendations and was a fun person to chat with. A lot of pretty presentations for the food; the smoked salmon roll was revealed with literal smoke (that smelled) and of course the infamous orange dessert (not peach) was fun to crack into. Very cozy lighting for a classic dinner night out. The rock shrimp was the best dish we tasted but wouldn't come back just for that. CONS: The food was generally okay and the portions were tiny. The chicken karaage were like frozen chicken nuggets and the salmon on top of the crispy rice had the texture of whipped cream, which felt off for us but some people might like. The rolls weren't very unique and the raw fish wasn't the worst I've had but it didn't taste fresh and plucked straight out of the ocean. I've had better (and bigger) miso cod.

If you're looking for the best sushi experience in Los Angeles, the new Katsuya location is truly on another level. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was chic and stylish, modern elegance with that cool LA energy that makes you feel like you're in the right place. We ordered the sushi set along with a few other recommendations, and honestly, every single dish was beyond good, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The quality of the fish was outstanding, and the balance of flavors was so precise that it felt like art on a plate. You can tell the chefs here take pride in elevating every bite. A huge shout-out to Bijan, who absolutely made our night. He went above and beyond, guiding us through the menu and recommending the best dishes with genuine passion. His hospitality was warm, thoughtful, and made the whole dining experience even more memorable. This isn't just sushi, it's luxury dining that manages to stay approachable and fun at the same time. From the ambiance to the food to the service, everything was flawless. I can confidently say this is the best sushi spot in Los Angeles right now. Highly recommend adding this gem to your list, you'll thank yourself later!

Wow! One of my favorite spots for sushi. The space is amazing, we shared the crispy rice and the rock shrimp. Drooling. Thank so much for the wonderful service from Miss Ashley! Her smile made our night!

Would have given higher stars but I don't support big establishments that charge customers a 5% wellness fee to pay for their employees' health insurance. I have a small business and pay these costs myself. Not coming back here again. There are better Japanese restaurants who don't overcharge their customers. That's why a lot of restaurants are going out of business, because of high prices and these silly fees.

We truly had a wonderful dinner here tonight. This absolutely has to become the flagship restaurant for the sbe company, here in Century City! The team of Zachary and Forest were fantastic together. They provided excellent service. The espresso martini was amazing and obviously you can't go wrong with Hibiki Harmony Needs. The black card is fantastic, and the brussels sprouts are "die for." Don't forget the Toro sashimi and the yellowtail jalapeño. You can thank me later

Honestly, I was a little disappointed by the food. They have a lunch prefix, which is pretty good and substantial, depending on what you choose. They also have other set menus, which have some of their most famous dishes. I was mainly disappointed because the food just wasn't that good - the yellowtail lacks flavor, crispy tuna lacks flavor, the chicken karage lacks flavor. The short rib is too salty. The broccolini is too salty. The rocky shrimp and brussel sprouts were good enough. The Japanese Caesar salad is good but that dressing is too much. Spicy edamame is good. Miso cod is good. Crab hand roll might be best thing on the menu. The miso soup tastes basic. If you sum this up = at most 2.5 out of 5. The ambience is great. The music is great. The service is fantastic. If only if the food could meet them halfway, then I think I would be able to enjoy my meals more.

Had a great experience at this newly opened location! The food was delicious and the presentation was absolutely supreme. I also want to commend Delilah! Her attentive service and warm hospitality made our visit memorable. She is definitely a keeper--well done!

I ate here with my fiancee the other day, the meal started off well, we ordered some drinks and appetizers, customer service seemed okay but went massively downhill as time went by. I got up to use the bathroom, as I returned from bathroom, I overheard the kitchen talking. They said the following. "Don't give anything to those Nigg*** at table 17, hopefully they leave. And for table 4, do the same to those chinks, they don't tip. " I couldn't believe the words being used, never again.

Just came in and had the best lunch with Zelli! She suggested some dishes to order and we especially loved the salmon sashimi that she recommended. We also ordered the crispy rice , short rib fried rice, & rock shrimp which were all amazing. Service was great. Food was great. Highly recommend!

Most of the restaurant was empty tables but they were "reserved" so we sat at the bar. Waited for over 10-15 minutes and still no drinks. We left. Be prepared to be very patient to dine here.

From the moment we walked in, things felt off. The greeting was cold, and the energy just didn't feel welcoming. We were seated on the patio, which looked much better in photos where in reality, it was cramped, awkwardly laid out, and lacking any real atmosphere. I wish they walked into Javier's and saw what a good indoor looks like :/ Menus were dropped on the floor, check took forever, water was poured carelessly, spilling over the edge more than once. Our server seemed overwhelmed or checked out, and the whole team looked like they were scrambling. It felt chaotic, not intentional. Btw it wasn't peak hour either - place is 40% full. At one point we were even brought the wrong food, and no one really explained what was happening. The sushi itself was just okay - not memorable, not worth the price. Why is sushi coming out with ginger and wasabi in each bite. And definitely not the kind of place you'd come back to for a special meal. It's the kind of spot where you can tell a lot of money went into the brand, but not enough into the experience. Compare this to somewhere like Uchi's -- where the vibe is calm, thoughtful, and each dish is explained as it comes out. You feel taken care of there. At Katsuya, it felt like survival mode. Honestly, a missed opportunity. Great branding, great location, but it doesn't add up to anything meaningful. I won't be coming back.

The martini glass is a joke it is so small and a terrible pour. The portions are smaller than the other restaurants and the noise level is deafening. Will not be going back

A very beautiful and romantic restaurant that has both indoor and outdoor seating which is likely their best selling point. Some staff are nicer and more attentive than others. Prices are more than I would like for what you get flavor wise but portions are as expected. The best thing was the dipping sauce (resembles an Asian style ranch) that comes with the shishito peppers. The sushi was underwhelming. Their Asian style caesar salad was good but would be a lot better if they removed that sandy texture (not sure what it is). If I go back, it is likely for the ambiance and decor. Very close to a 2 star review (below average).

We finally tried the much anticipated Katsuya at Century City. It is a beautifully designed restaurant and bar plus outdoor patio. Our server Forrest Lamb was outstanding in every way. The sushi is so fresh and delicious. The cod is a must! The mixologist in the bar has many fun libations to try! I will definitely be coming back again with my friends and family. Ask for Forrest!

Katsuya Century City is outstanding! Everything from the service to the food was truly top-notch. We really enjoyed the Karai Roll and Branzino. Can't wait to come back to try more.

The vibe inside is modern and upscale, but still relaxed. We started with the crispy rice with spicy tuna (a favorite for a reason!), and everything after that just kept getting better. The chef's special of the night was a beautifully plated toro sashimi with truffle ponzu--it was rich, delicate, and absolutely delicious. You can tell the chef puts a lot of thought and care into the presentation and balance of flavors. We also had the baked crab hand roll (a must) and the miso-marinated black cod, which was perfectly cooked and practically melted in our mouths. Drinks were spot-on, and the staff overall was attentive but not overbearing. The server checked in at just the right times and offered great recommendations without rushing us. This place is definitely a go-to for sushi lovers or anyone looking to treat themselves. From the service to the food, everything felt polished but comfortable.

We were gifted an SBE gift card that clearly stated it was usable at Katsuya locations. We called the number on the gift card (as it clearly stated in the gift card fine print to call with questions) one day ahead to make sure that the gift card would be accepted at the new century city location. They confirmed yes, after double checking it was valid there. Well, we went to pay and they said they do not accept Katsuya gift cards. The manager came over, was unapologetic and took 15% off our bill, significantly less than the gift card. This was a huge milestone dinner for a celebration and was ruined. Will not go back and strongly recommend avoiding this location.

We had such a wonderful lunch at Katsuya on the patio... Besides the food being excellent the service was so good and our waitress Zelli was awesome! She really made the experience go from Good to great!

I love Katsuya and I was so happy that it opened in Century City mall. It's so beautiful and the service is top notch. I love how everything is presented here. It just makes everything taste 100x better!

Went last week for a quick date with my hubby, first time here and honestly I left feeling amazing. The food was great and the atmosphere was nice, I was a bit nervous trying a new sushi spot. My server Zelli was so sweet and attentive to us, it's been a while since I got such good service. I can be pretty picky and particular on how I like my drinks/ food and Zelli was so helpful and considerate. I'll definitely be coming back!

My new favorite at the Westfield in Century City. Cool vibes, perfect service, and the food is excellent as always with this restaurant group. Love the full bar and varied selection of beverages, including mocktails. The robata grill and omakase options are also great menu features. My only suggestion would be to do a better job of cleaning the bathrooms - they're a huge mess and it's a major turn off for such an elevated restaurant.

Food was amazing but the real star of the show was Ashley! She was so knowledgeable and fun!

Katsuya... more like Crapsuya The sushi is sub par and I've had much better sushi in smaller restaurants in Los Angeles. The crispy tuna rice or their "OG" is overplayed too. This isn't a critique on the chefs more so on the quality and ingenuity.

I had an amazing time at this Katsuya. The food was amazing, great portions & it was all very flavorful. I was vibing to the music the whole time & our server was very sweet and attentive. I will definitely go again soon!

Chef Dyson prepared a lovely and delicious sushi dinner for me. I had yellowtail belly, yellowtail, roe, uni and eel. All were buttery delicious ness !!!! Yay Century City Katsuya

Avoid This Place - Disastrous Service, Overpriced, and Zero Customer Care. We decided to try the new Katsuya at Century City for our weekly Sunday night family dinner. Nearly everything--except for the architecture and the yellowtail jalapeño--was abysmal. First, we tried to order the Branzino at 6 PM and were told it was already sold out. Then we attempted to order baked salmon rolls, only to be told the chef "would not accommodate it." Hot jasmine teas took forever to arrive and were tasteless, oddly dark brown, and completely unappealing. We had to request ginger four separate times before it finally appeared. The food was consistently disappointing: Shishito peppers: tiny portion, mostly too spicy to enjoy. Seaweed salad: tasted off--we barely touched it. Spicy edamame: tolerable, but again, way too spicy. Brussels sprouts: never arrived at all. Maitake mushrooms: served cold and barely edible. Salmon dish: undercooked. Vegetarian roll request: asked for avocado + cucumber roll, got two separate rolls with barely any vegetables inside. Our server was kind but obviously overwhelmed and kept forgetting items. When I finally spoke to the manager, he said he'd "take care of us." Given how awful the meal had been, I assumed he meant the bill would be comped. Instead, we received one dessert for five adults. The final insult: a $250 bill for a grossly sub-par dinner, plus an extra 5% "employee healthcare" fee, no parking validation, and no genuine effort to make things right. This felt like highway robbery. In the end, it was a completely botched dining experience that left us frustrated and shocked at the lack of customer care. Do yourself a favor and steer clear--Century City has far better dining options that won't leave you feeling angry and ripped off.

I visited this place after going to the mall with my family. Luckily, there was no wait, which was great because I didn't want to wait to eat after shopping. I had an excellent time, and the fried rice was incredible it was very flavorful and filling. The service was fantastic, and they recommended some great dishes for me and my family. I'll definitely be coming back !
