First, I’d like to compliment our waiter — he was truly wonderful. He worked very hard, was kind, attentive, and did everything he could to make our experience better. Unfortunately, several other aspects of our visit were disappointing.
Despite having an 8 p.m. reservation, we were made to wait, and then seated outside on the veranda, even though the dining room was nearly empty. It was very cold, and when I asked for a heater, I was told they weren’t working yet due to no permit from fire department. This made the experience quite uncomfortable.
The hostess who greeted and seated us came across as inattentive and rude, which set a negative tone.
Food-wise: the Wagyu steak was good (though a little fatty) and the edamame was also good. My smoked salmon sushi, however, was just okay — I’ve honestly had better quality and portion size at Whole Foods.
My mineral water was taken away and cleared while it was still half full, which felt careless.
Lastly, we noticed a 5% “wellness fee” on the check. While it was removed when requested, it felt a bit misleading to have to catch it on the receipt.
Overall, the location is beautiful, but between the seating situation, inattentive greeting, and overpriced food, it didn’t meet expectations. We gave it a try but unfortunately won’t be returning.
I hope this feedback helps your team improve.
