Beloved Late-Night Deli Katz’s Debuts in the Heights - Eater Houston

"Montrose holdout Katz’s now has a third Houston-area location. The newest addition to the late-night restaurant and bar opens today, September 15. Expect the same New York deli-style dishes Katz is known for, including Reuben sandwiches, Buffalo chicken, Kosher hot dogs and more. The restaurant, famous for its slogan “Katz’s Never Kloses,” will begin 24-hour service on September 22. The first Houston Katz location opened on Westheimer in 1998, and a second location opened in The Woodlands in 2007." - Brittanie Shey

It Looks Like Late-Night Staple Katz’s Will Open a Second Location in Houston - Eater Houston

"It looks like Katz’s, the Montrose staple known for its deli eats served 24 hours a day, will open a second location in Houston. A liquor license application with the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission indicates that the restaurant will open at 2200 North Shepherd Drive in the coming months, and Katz’s owner Barry Katz is listed as its applicant. A sales tax permit application filed with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts confirms that address. Katz’s was first founded in Austin in 1979, and made its Houston debut in 2000, where it quickly earned a local following thanks to its quality comfort food that’s served around the clock. A second Houston-area location followed in the Woodlands in 2017, taking over the space formerly occupied by the chain’s quick-serve experiment, Katz’s Express. The Shepherd Drive location would bring the total of Katz’s in Houston and its suburbs to three, though as many as six are currently in the works. Eater has reached out to Katz’s for more details on when it will arrive on Shepherd Road. Its sales tax license was active at the beginning of March, meaning that its opening date can’t be too far away." - Amy McCarthy

This was my first time at the location off of N. Shepherd. We were greeted immediately upon entry and seated within a minute. We chose to dine outdoors. There are TVs and plenty if options outside. Israel took our order and offered recommendations since it was our first time visiting. We had the Korean meatballs as an appetizer. They were delicious. Just a little kick and refreshing. For entrees, we had the chicken and waffles and burger and fries. Both items were seasoned well and satisfied our taste buds. The service was so efficient! I can’t wait to go back. Lots of food options and they are open 24 hours.

I'm here now. At 5 pm on Sunday, June 8th, 2025. It didn't take any time to get seated. My waiter Orlando was very attentive to everything. The 🍓 strawberry lemonade is very delicious. Could be a lil more lemony, in my opinion, but still worthy nonetheless. 9/10 Their iced tea comes unsweetened, but they give you sugar if wanted. As my appetizer, I ordered the fried pickle spears with ranch. They were superb. The coating stayed on the entirety until I started chewing. Lol 😆 10/10 My meal was the chicken fried chicken with mashed tators underneath. The fried part of the chicken was well coated, and the chicken was well done. They use real potatoes and it was all topped with country white gravy. All so flavorful. 10/10 I got a side of mac n cheese. It was very cheesy. Could have been a tiny bit smoother, but everyone is different. It's still great. 9/10 The atmosphere was nice. Laid back. Great nostalgic music. The restaurant appeared clean. The bathroom was clean but could have used a lil bit of air freshener. I definitely highly recommend this place. 💯💯💯

Google
Katz is an amazing restaurant! I absolutely loved the ambiance—it has a great atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and welcome. The food was outstanding, full of flavor and perfectly prepared. The service was excellent; the staff was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Everything was top-notch! I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

Google
We were excited to try this place since we saw this diner pop up a few times. I’d look like it is inspired from or a chain related to the New York Katz. Another attractive thing about this diner was that it seems to be open around the clock. So finally we decided to stop by and try it out and Ordered burgers. The highlight of the menu was the margarita flight which I certainly definitely recommend to everybody however my heart goes out to a server who was probably not having the best day and made our experience a little weird. Overall, the food based on the value for money I would say was average. I won’t necessarily recommend this place, but it’s not bad if you have to grab a munch at an odd hour and no other places is open.

Google
This is not the place for me start by saying I was there over a hour to end up leaving with out food . Walks in to place order over 6 people passed us up with out saying nothing no greeting no nothing finally Jass asked did we need help but victor came over finally I thought I was going to have to put in my own order. Riley was very nice he spoke to us came back and asked would we like a cup of water while we wait thank you Riley you get 5 stars . Placed the order sat out side waiting for it was sitting in the window for a minute until I asked was that my food he said yes and bagged it. I opened it to check it and this was the out come. Bacon was cold we was missing another order of bacon spaghetti didn’t have sauce it was in the bag and on top of our container with our pancakes in them. Talked to the manager she really didn’t care just gave my money back. Will not return this was my first and last time . Not a good experience at all I was looking forward for this too.

Google
Everything tasted amazing. I didn’t get a picture of the beef cabbage roll but it was great. Excited to try more in the menu here.

Google
We received a friendly and fast service. The manager also came out to greet our table. Our waiter didn't seem very enthusiastic, but maybe it was just a long night. The appetizers were delicious. The fried pickles were on point, crunchy and tasty. The roast beef was decent. The gravy was well made, but the meat itself was a little bit on the drier side than it should be.

Always love my experiences here! Love the atmosphere… whether with family or friends or just doing a little midday work on my laptop, everything is always delicious and perfect. 🙌🏻

Yelp
Katz's is a good spot for those extra late nights when nothing else is open. The restaurant is always very clean and tidy. I've tried this spot a few times, but the food never turns out so great. I've tried several of the sandwiches and soups, but I never leave too impressed. Overall, I recommend Katz's for late nights, but not if there are other options available during the day. On the bright side, the servers are very pleasant and friendly!

Yelp
It took two hours for us to get our food, and we were 1 of 3 tables in the restaurant. The sandwich was not even good after such a long wait. I was only able to stomach eating half of it. The ambience was okay - nothing to write home about. 10/10 will not be back
google avatar

Yelp
Note to self: when ordering on uber eats, sides aren't included and au jus doesn't come with French dip. 3 - Breakfast tacos, bacon 4 - French Dip. Would be sooo good with an au jus dip. 4 - Fried Chicken Sandwich 4 - Mashed potatoes

Yelp
We love this place! 24 hour Jewish deli style food. Always delicious. And a very cool new york look to the restaurant. Service is always excellent. Food is always delicious. We've been coming here for years and it never disappoints. I highly recommend the roast beef. So perfect. The potato pancakes are always perfect. And it's one of the few places you can get the cheese stuffed potatoes.

Samantha J.

Yelp
Ordered an appetizer and soup. It was fine till I got my main course with a pickle on the side, I am allergic and have a phobia due to it. I explained it to the manager and she kept insisting that I still eat the sandwich because she only changed the bread not the meat that the pickle was touching. Absolutely disgusting. She kept pushing the sandwich on me, no matter how much we explained I am allergic. Eventually I talked to somebody else and got a new sandwich that was old and clearly expired meat terrible service terrible food don't come here. The managers name was Gabby

Yelp
Katz's never closes, but is it worth it? Join me on this 2am venture, as we figure out if its really all as advertised. As a life-long Houstonian, I've been familiar with Katz's all my life. To me, its the perfect place to visit late at night, when you need some grub, and want to do better than an I-hop, or a Waffle House (yuck). I've been to the original location, but this location in the Heights is pretty nice in my opinion. There is ample parking, and the restaurant is very spacious with tons of booths (my go-to seating spot at any restaurant). It was late as heck on a weekday, and the staff was descent. Nothing out of the ordinary, but what do you expect in the middle of the night? We wanted to go light, so we ordered a broccoli cheese soup, an order of the Texas Pecan Hummus/Lemon Whipped Feta Dip(that comes with bagel chips), and a Topo Chico to top it all off. I'm what you would call a hummus connoisseur, love me some mashed garbanzos! It was a unique take on the dish, mixed in with some feta dip. I didn't really care for the Bagel Chips, and would have much preferred some pita bread, but beggars can't be choosers. The soup was delicious, and hit the spot on a cold night. Overall the meal was descent, prices here are outrageous though, you can easily spend over 20 bucks on nonsense. However, you aren't here to save a buck. You are here to treat yourself to a place late at night, that is more descent than all the other 24 hour spots Houston has to offer. Shamefully, I'd be back, I've already done it countless times.

Yelp
This location is stunning! I was so shocked by the interior when we arrived, compared to other locations I've been to it's incredible. The staff was extremely sweet even though it was 1 am, and our waiter Curtis was awesome. Unfortunately they were out of chicken at the time, so instead of chicken and waffles I opted out for the waffle sandwich with cheese and it was awesome. It's nothing crazy, but if you're craving breakfast - it hit the spot. The fries that it comes with was way too salty for my liking, but would be incredible if they weren't so salty. The fried pickles are a classic, they're perfectly crispy and the pickle is just perfect. I would definitely come here again, and next time I'm definitely going to get a drink. Their drink menu is huge!

Yelp
Heights location same deli fare and great service. The cocktails was my vegan option. To be fair they had vegan burgers, my cocktail was well made and flavourful my flexitarian partner opted for breakfast. The latkes were flavourless bland like frozen. But here eggs were fine. The service outstanding

Yelp
A few hits and a few misses. Hit: Creamed Spinach- delicious. would go back just for this. The option to sub the regular beef patty with a plant based one for any burger. Friendly staff Miss: The cheese stuffed potato- see pic- barely any cheese. The batter was burnt and bland. The mash potatoes were tasteless/unseasoned...don't be fooled by the sprinkle of paprika on top...overall it tasted like boxed potato flakes. The fruit teas are not sweetened Service was extremely slow despite the restaurant not being busy.

Yelp
I love Katz's but the manager and staff here are horrible. My order was supposed to be ready 30 minutes ago and I'm still sitting here waiting. The place is empty of customers but there are about 20 employees just hanging out doing nothing. The owner must not care about service or making money. What a joke.
google avatar

Yelp
Location: heights area Parking: plenty Staff: super nice and friendly Wait time: 0 Seating: indoor and outdoor Price: average Drink: coffee, average taste Food: I was not a fan of the food taste, food was bland. I initially started with the monte cristo but thank you for great service and allowing me to change it. After I went for waffle with fruit and although it was a lot better it really had not much taste.

Michelle S.

Yelp
The Matzoh ball soup is stupid. I don't even know how they make it so good. I'm from NY and love a damn good Matzoh ball soup. This is certainly my favorite in Houston. Thanks Katz's.

Yelp
I really like how they set up this Katz's. It's a little bit more urban but still has the diner feel. Our server Hector was very chill and regularly checked in on us. The food was delicious, I was surprised at the amount of food that we got, I ended up with a good amount of leftovers. It seems like everything on Westheimer is going to Shepherd and vice versa lol. Which I appreciate

Yelp
We have eaten twice at Katz and picked up another night. Previously, the food was average quality. Tonight the food and service was disappointing. Only one servicer working at 5:30. We ordered : Appetizer Potato Skins which tasted like it was from a premade supply. They just were not good (The comped this item) Burger Met had a dirty grill taste. Corned Beef Sandwich Very average quality Onion Rings Soaked in Grease We only ate 1/2 of one. Fries They were not hot, and appeared to baked in an oven from a frozen product. We sat waiting to be served because the service told us she was also handling to go items as well. I hope they get it together. Its super convenient for us but the food is just not what one would expect.
google avatar

Yelp
I hate giving less than 4 stars...but the food is just so mediocre. Love the location, 24/7 hours, space, and interior. There are big windows that bring a lot of natural lighting and it's really a charming spot for a date or casual dinner. The servers were nice and we had no issues with anyone. The FOOD though...I've ordered something different every time I come to Katz and nothing really hits the spot. Most recently got the Reuben Pastrami Sandwich and Turkey & Dressing. Both were fairly bland.

Yelp
As a huge fan of Katz's NYC, I decided to give the Houston one a try. It was beyond my expectation and the diner is super clean and chic. In terms of the store design, they have a pretty smooth flow, and the indoor dining area and the to-go spot are well separated. Staff are friendly and helpful. And the food is just as good as the ones I tried in New York. The only thing is the price is more on the pricey end considering the cost of living in Houston.

Yelp
I have been to Katz's Deli twice recently. Once after a friend's birthday party for a very late dinner (or early breakfast) and once for lunch. Open 24 hours, you can get your Katz fix at any time of the day or night. Located off of Westheimer, they are also one of the few establishments in the area that has a large parking lot which is also a plus. Like most diners, they have a large menu. We're talking breakfast items, sandwiches, and much, much more. And as a Jewish deli, you also have a good deal of Jewish items on the menu like pastrami and blintzes. Like the food menu, there's a long list of beverages, including adult beverages. When I stopped by around lunch most recently, I was on a liquid diet and only had a cocktail. The food is serviceable, though not outstanding. And if I'm looking for Jewish food, Kenny & Ziggy's is my first choice. But, if you're looking for a late night meal after a night out on the town, Kat'z Deli makes for a fine choice.

Yelp
I was impressed when I walked up and there was a seat for me to wait outside and enjoy the fresh air. The building itself is very nice and open with lots of windows to let light in. The service seemed attentive and friendly. I was a little skeptical when the patty melt came with lettuce and tomato as well as American cheese. It was surprisingly good. It was more like a burger on rye bread with the option to add sauteed onions. Definitely add the onions, they're delicious. The onion rings themselves were average and you can see from my picture that they don't look like the ones in the menu. Overall I left satisfied, but I would love to see the onion ring quality raised a little.

Yelp
Despite the bad reviews, I had a hankering for a corned beef sandwich and matzah ball soup. Against better judgement, I went here. Don't go, only reason they get a second star is nice clean restaurant and their matzah back soup is really good. The sandwich was cold. Service non-existent. The guy wasn't busy, somehow he was the bartender. Never checked up on me after the meal was delivered by the food runner, had to ask other server to get refill on my ice tea, so I had something to drink with my meal. Finally went up to him to ask for my check. Not going back. Might get to-go of their soup, that's about it.
google avatar

Katerina B.

Yelp
I stopped in for lunch as I was craving a Rueben sandwich. It was not crowded, yet it took my server several minutes too long to greet me and take my order. I ordered everything at once with French dressing and mustard on the side. While the sandwich was good, it wasn't great and I wasn't specific in my mustard request so I received honey mustard, then yellow mustard and finally spicy brown when I clarified. I was ready to check out when there was a delay getting back to me. I noticed the wait person went to three tables around the restaurant before I caught their attention. My meal with tip was $37 for a medium sandwich, fries and an iced tea. This experience didn't meet the threshold for a complaint (there appeared two managers on the floor who potentially were observant of me), but I can't give them a good review either.

Don E.

Yelp
Food was good, a little pricey but the food was hot and delicious. Waiter was very prompt with refilling drinks, both soda and water. They are undergoing some repainting / renovation inside so a little noisy / messy but not bad, the traffic jam outside due to road construction was a little time consuming but we're driving by anyway so not a huge issue.
google avatar

Jay O.

Yelp
Man - Katz's quality has disappeared. I had Yankee pot roast - what came out was two slabs of meat (not shredded) some carrots and potatoes in a small amount of bad tasting brown gravy. Seriously, I've had better frozen entrees from grocer. Nothing about this meal was anything like yankee pot roast and was literally inedible. I got a take home box to feed it to my friend's dog. I won't be having dinner items at Katz's again. I seriously doubt that the food was prepared on site - it tasted like a thawed, poorly made meal. No stars.

Angie B.

Yelp
Been coming here for 20 years! Matzo Ball soup is awesome, the French dip, and the Monte Cristo was really good as well. Service was excellent!!! Highly recommend and will be back!
google avatar

Cynthia V.

Yelp
We came here for a quick dinner early evening Saturday and were easily seated - there were not too many people there when we arrived but a steady crowd grew over the mealtime. Big pro here: they have their own large parking lot which is a rarity for the area. I had eaten a late lunch so I opted for a slice of their Key Lime Pie while my friend ordered their Grilled Chicken Sandwich with fries. Besides bringing our initial waters out and delivering the food to the table, we never really saw our waiter the whole meal...which I suppose is fine minus no opportunity for a drink refill; that had to be done by the host. With how unbusy they were, this was a little odd, but oh well. Food overall was fine, nothing to write home about or make me want to come back, but also not anything that would make me not want to come back. Standard diner fare, prices are ok. Interior decor is nice, so it has that going for it.
google avatar

Carolyn C.

Yelp
Love Katz's Matzo Ball Soup. Nicoise Salad, tho delicious, lacked traditional green beans or asparagus and was skimpy. The greens amounted to the same as the side salad, and there was only a half scoop of tuna salad. I did appreciate the umami from the capers and Kalamata olives, and the Honey Vinaigrette dressing is great. Servers are very friendly and professional.
google avatar

Ester D.

Yelp
The customer service was excellent the pastrami melted in my mouth enough meat for 3 sandwiches I will definitely give this place a 10 you must try
google avatar

Leith G.

Yelp
Went here for lunch. The place is very clean and inviting. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was definitely 5 stars! Delicious and fresh! I honestly have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. I'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Nicky B.

Yelp
I liked the sandwich I ordered but when you order pick up, there's a pick up fee and mandatory tip... That's enough to turn me off from going back.
google avatar

Mel B.

Yelp
We are from Austin and greatly miss the Katz's that was here. When we were visiting our daughter, we were so excited to have a Katz's Deli near our hotel. I went basic with my favorite, bagel with lox. The food was amazing and the presentation stepped it up another level. We sat at the bar and the service was wonderful and the coffee fresh and the server was there to keep my cup filled. The only down side was my husband ordered a side of potato pancakes and they were pretty much like the formed hash browns you get at a fast food spot.
google avatar

Katie L.

Yelp
The food is great but the Togo customer service really needs to be worked on. Constant issues with that area. I picked curbside pick up. Texted 1 when I showed up and nothing. Just sat there. When I called after 10 mins the lady goes oh you're outside what's your name??? What's the point of curbside if no one will actually answer customers waiting on the food. and this was at 830 so they weren't busy at all.

Casey C.

Yelp
They made us wait 45 minutes for some micheladas....we finished our meal and told them we didn't want them anymore... suddenly, they were ready. Waitress said fam I can pack them to go, so we agreed. Came home with soda water and tomato juice. Not cool. Those hose. Not much I can do now, huh? May 5 into May 6 2024 around 130 am. Rude. And stop calling us fam and family u wouldn't do ur fam like that lol
google avatar

Demetrius M.

Yelp
Ok We went back again today and this place continues to shine!!!! I had the grilled cheese Add bacon Add tomato And whoa!!!! I used to think Panera had a good grilled cheese but clearly I didn't know wat I good grilled cheese is until now bcuz this thing was delicious.... The 3 cheeses meld perfectly together and the bacon is cooked just right inside of perfectly marbled butter soaked Italian bread that's crispy just on the surface but is a really great chew with the soft creamy inside..... They serve it with a really good pickled jalapeño and a side of tomato basil pesto that leaves you wondering how no1 stole the recipe yet I'm liking this place... Check em out!!!

Yelp
We've been to this location 3 times and now I remember why I don't come more. The service is SLOOOOOOW. It was 8:30p on a Sunday, there were 5 tables, our server had just our table of 2. Slow to take our order, slow to being the food, slow to bring out to go boxes, slow to bring our check. I was literally standing up next to my table for 10 mins before I walked up to the hostess stand to ask if I can pay so I can leave, and the hostess said I can only pay with my server (while 3 other servers are standing around as they hear me ask if I can pay). The food is soo mediocre for the price. The bill came out to be $79, one entree, one sandwich, fried pickles, a slice of key lime pie, and 20% tip. I seriously could have made a better pasta than their pasta primavera with shrimp. And the hot sandwiches , yeah sure they're huge, but it really isn't anything special. Basically just super greasy buttery bread with a thick layer of cheese on top of meat and half a bottle of thousand island dressing. The montrose location is always way busier and has better food and service. This location.... 1/5. Skip.

Aiza J.

Yelp
My family and daughter went to this restaurant and let me just start off by saying the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Their was blood over the floor and on some of the toilets. My daughter soon informed me that it got on her shoes and a little bit on her pants. Also the service was a little slow we waiting long for our food. We will never be coning back anytime soon!!
google avatar

Chris N.

Yelp
What should be a pleasant experience fails on three counts: flavor ( meh ), price ( steep ), and service ( apathetic ). Pastrami is dry and sliced hyper thin and crumbly. The waitress had no idea what 'deli' mustard was but assured me they had it ( nope ). Near empty it was still turtle slow. Loads of better options out there.
google avatar

Bridget R.

Yelp
Always a solid brunch spot when you don't know where to go. Floor staff is touch and go, some are phenomenal and others are fine, just a little spaced out. Never had anything here I didn't like, but make sure they are not out of potato pancakes when you order because they will bring you hash browns. Last, don't miss the lunch special or pick two! Their plates are so big this is a good option. I only wish they added bagel chips and pretzels to the table options!
google avatar

Tracy S.

Yelp
We have gone to this location many of times and have never had an issue until tonight. We have a service dog and never once has anyone here at this location given us any issues or denied us service until tonight. The host immediately came up to the door as we were opening it and he said that we had to sit outside. We said that she's a service dog with her vest clearly on and all badging visible and he has sat us plenty of times with our service dog being with us. He even stated the even being a service dog we were to sit outside. Very horrible and upsetting that I'm todays world how uneducated people are with service animals.
google avatar

Scott M.

Yelp
We so wanted this to be a great spot, but it failed us again to the point that we just walked before they took our order! No one waited on us for 10 minutes, but they had the time to tell us 3 times just one minute???? The last three times the food was bad and this time we didn't give another chance to disappoint. No wonder on a Sunday morning at 10:00a they are almost empty!
google avatar

Angel C.

Yelp
Really bad service. I was trying to order the eggs linda but the server said it wasn't available and when I asked him why he said "Idk". So I called the manager, and he told me that the Canadian sausage wasn't available. So I told him that I just want it a bagel with cream cheese pouched eggs and some other protein, and still I couldn't get what I wanted. Is really sad because I was craving coming to Katz for a while, but I will never be back to this location for sure. I rather drive to Montrose.
google avatar

Asher L.

Yelp
Wow, I've been to the NY, Austin, Tx, and Florida locations, and boy, howdy, this is an embarrassment. Please change the name to like Cats and lose the K. Not at all a Jewish deli. Food was dry; every shortcut was made, from the pickles to the meat. What a waste of time.
google avatar

Anthony K.

Yelp
Open 24 hrs a day! They have unique chicken and waffles. The chicken is a very big boneless piece, crispy, and delicious. The waffles are light and fluffy. My spouse ordered pancakes and we split up the pancakes and waffles, wow, the best of both worlds. Coffee is Katz', a local coffee roaster that we have toured. We got salsa for the eggs, and it was nice and chunky. The only downside, they charge for the salsa, that is a bit overboard, but not enough to knock down the review from 5-stars. An afterthought, I also felt safe here, there have been police eating here a few times.

Yelp
I was recommended to try this place in the Heights. I placed an online order at 0200 and arrived at 0230. I ordered the Kountry Klub, onion rings, and cheesecake...for $40. That was red flag number one. I called once I pulled into curbside parking and immediately noticed the 10pm cutoff time on the sign. I called and was told "...okayyy" once I gave my information. I then had to spend additional time repeating my name, time I ordered and estimated pickup time, order, and car as if I hadn't filled it out already online. I asked if I needed to come in since online didn't specify curbside was closed and she had a waitress bring it out. The ticket on my bag clearly stated: curbside, ordered at 0200, due 0215. Now was the food even close to being worth $40, H-E-double hockey sticks NO! Not even close. Definitely will not be returning nor vlogging as I anticipated. 10/10 don't recommend!

Yelp
I don't know if the quality of the food has gone down. Or just because it's a new location. But my onion rings were bland and over cooked. My sandwich wasn't anything special especially for the price point. I had high expectations as a patron of the location near downtown for many years and as a New Yorker and felt like I wasted $21.

Yelp
Went there for a nice lunch/dinner with a few friends of mine. There were (5) of us and were told they automatically charge us 15% or 18% gratuity on everyone's ticket. We would've left if we weren't starving. I understand larger parties but not for 5... ridiculous. But I will say, most places that charge a guaranteed gratuity, I will never go to. Got the hummus and it's EXTREMELY oily and watered down. I understand it comes with oil but it was over the top. Barely gave us enough chips to dip in with the hummus. Got the lox and it was not good. Cheap salmon, barely any toppings, poorly plated and presented. Not good. I can get better salmon from Kroger's. I personally ordered the Ruben with pastrami and it was ok. Pastrami lacked flavor, barely had any dressing and the sauerkraut wasn't anything to brag about either. Never had this issue before but this time around, even on my birthday.... It was nothing special or memorable as far as the food. Giving 2-stars only for the service. Sorry Katz, but this is the worst you've done. It'll be a long while before I ever come back and give you another shot.

Yelp
So many good choices! Service is great. Restaurant has a beautiful relaxed vibe. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great location.

Yelp
The ambiance was nice. Service was ok. The food, could have been and has been better. The grilled cheese, was different with tomatoes but wasn't that cheesy and was not melted. Tomato dip was very flavorful. Pot roast was great & Kountry Klub was really good. Churros, needed help. They were Carly plain and bare. No cinnamon or sugar at all. The dip with it too was just not it.

Yelp
Uncomfortable furniture, extremely high food cost, mediocre taste. I just cant justify coming here, its a C version of Kenny and Ziggies. Its not what it used to be.

Yelp
We just ate at Katz's on Sheperd in Houston. The service was horrible, the music was loud, had to ask for a waiter and the food was just ok. Maybe we were invisible. Wait staff kept walking by us, Ended up having the bartender take our order. He was nice. At the end some new person brought us the bill. Won't be going back. Katz's should Klose.

Yelp
Ok ok- we love Katz's and visit all the time because it's so close to our home. Our visit on 9.15.23 was mucho disappointing because of the POOR service at the bar. Curtis was visibly angry-annoyed-irritable and should not be allowed to work with the public. Every single interaction or request was met with the same angry-annoyed-irritable attitude. We could not get away fast enough. Food was great as always but god help this bartender find a path forward in this world that alleviates his angry-annoyed- irritable self.
