I had a wonderful dining experience at Kauboi BBQ & Izakaya! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish came out perfectly cooked, especially the grilled skewers and sushi. The desserts were also impressive — light, tasty, and a perfect way to end the meal. The service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and quick. The staff made us feel very welcome and comfortable throughout the dinner. The atmosphere was cozy yet modern, with a nice balance of music and lighting — great for hanging out with friends or a date night. Definitely a spot worth coming back to! Highly recommend ❤️ 📍 Kauboi BBQ & Izakaya, Dallas TX

I got charged 40% tips . This is so wrong! I was thrilled to try this establishment after seeing it on Instagram last month, but unfortunately, my experience was somewhat disappointing. The primary reason for my visit was to indulge in Wagyu, but I found the selection of meats to be limited, lacking juiciness, and the Wagyu steak was chewy. Despite attempting to order a second Wagyu steak cooked to a different level, it remained unimpressive. The Wagyu brisket tasted remarkably similar to regular brisket, which was unexpected. Having had Wagyu meat prior to this experience, I can confidently say that none of those instances tasted like this. The menu claimed to offer Wagyu, but the flavor profile was more akin to regular steak. Additionally, the garlic pork and garlic shrimp were overly salty. The marinated kabi meat lacked the expected juiciness, and the crispy rice was both too salty and sweet. Notably, the $40 all-you-can-eat price does not include drinks, with soda priced at $3.99. Honestly, I do not plan on returning. The sushi was acceptable, albeit with a limited serving of rice, which was a positive aspect. I have tried several restaurants promoted on Instagram, and I have come to realize that the reviews from these sources are not trustworthy. I question whether these reviewers receive compensation for their endorsements. .

Finally, the Plano area gets some good and fresh KBBQ. It's not really Japanese BBQ, but the quality of the meat is fresh. We did the Rodeo Option so that we could dine on the premium ribeye, boneless short ribs and their special fresh premium sushi. The meats we would definitely order again are of course the premium ribeye and the premium boneless short ribs. The pork jowl has a thicker cut and grills perfectly. The pork belly is another great meat option. The sushi here is the freshest and also incorporated into the AYCE option. There is plenty to choose from. The service here is great and the place is clean. You can leave her not selling like grilled meats. They have great ventilation here.

Wow, what a spot! Came here for my birthday and had the best time. The all-you-can-eat deal is insane — super generous portions and everything tasted amazing. Annie, our server, was the sweetest and even cooked everything for us at the table. They surprised me with a free bottle of cider for my birthday, which totally made my night. Great food, awesome service, and unbeatable value. Definitely coming back!

Finally got to check out Kauboiiiiiii VIBES: every table was full, but it wasn’t too loud, can still have conversation with your peeps. Nicer feel than other ayce kbbq. Waiter was super nice, helpful, made sure we had everything we needed 👍🏻 We got the $40 ayce and it’s an awesome deal!! Def going back! WAGYU BRISKET: good, melts in your mouth. Very thinly sliced WAGYU BEEF BELLY: super thinly sliced so it curls up all weird and doesn’t look appetizing, but tastes really good WAGYU SIGNATURE STEAK: this is for people who enjoy lean meat, which is not me. Not as flavorful either. My mom and Scott enjoyed it GARLIC PORK BELLY: this was my freaking fav!! I’ve ordered this at so many other places and thought, “where’s the garlic?”. You will kill vampires with this 💯 LA GALBI: yum! Deliciously marinated and higher meat ratio than other ayce PORK JOWL: soooo our waiter recommended this and said “trust” and trust I did, but it was not for me. I tried several different pieces and no, but was still fun to try it! 😀 CRISPY RICE: Got the eel with avocado and the spicy salmon with onion and chili. Loved the contrast of the crispy rice with the eel/salmon. If you like rice, you NEED to eat this! NIGIRI: got the eel and Wagyu. Both were really good. Rice was a little softly packed. HONEY GARLIC KARAAGE: Scott loved this. I thought it was way too sweet, but I’m not into the sweet flavors CHEESE CORN: it’s a very small portion, which I get bc damn that was SWEET. If you like the cheese corn at Ari, you will not like this one, but should still try it to confirm. Overall, we had a great time and the service was amazing!! They do not cook the meat for you (he did put the meat on the grill though), but it’s so busy it’s not feasible. They come by often to replace the grill, top off your water, clear dishes, etc and everything comes out super fast. Oh, and they have KIMCHIIIIIIIIIIII and jangajji (pickled radish in brine) PS - parking is not fun

As regulars of KBBQ, Hot pot, and Izakaya, bf and I stopped in here tonight to celebrate his birthday. I found myself overall pleasantly surprised by the place. It was clean and modern, and even without a reservation we were sat promptly for a party of 2 at about 6:15 on a Friday night. We had the Bonfire set (a little more expensive than somewhere like Gen) but I enjoyed the quality of the meat much more. The Wagyu Steak was decent but could’ve used some marinade, and the garlic pork belly was fantastic. My bf got wagyu beef that was a little thin for the grill (more hotpot thickness) but he enjoyed it anyways. I really enjoyed the Wagyu Nigiri as well as the House Salad. I also had some decent Chicken Gyoza. My bf had a tempura plate that he enjoyed and generally found the sushis okay but acceptable for AYCE. Most portion sizes were smaller, which I actually appreciated because it was AYCE and I could try more things. I wish we had an iPad to place our own orders, but our waiter was super attentive and we never felt like we were waiting on him. Overall it’s more expensive than normal, but great for a special occasion dinner (such as what we visited for). We’ll be back!

I have to say this was one of the best dining experience I have had in a long time. The quality of the food was top notch. But the best part was the staff. Everyone was very hard working and running non-stop making sure everyone was taken cared of, even if it wasn't their table. They all helped each other out. That kind of teamwork was just so inspiring. Alexa K was phenomenal. I've never seen someone so hard working. The 5 hour drive here was so worth it.

This is going to be my go-to place for BBQ from now on! My family went with the Rodeo Set (I still can't believe the price!), and everyone just loved it. The overall food quality was outstanding. Our favorites were the Wagyu menus, marinated boneless short ribs, and LA galbi from the meat selection, Spicy tuna crispy rice, Salmon delight from the special roll section—and to my surprise, the Special Nigiri menus were absolutely delicious! The interior was modern, clean, and spacious that made our dining experience even better. I can see myself come here often for casual meetups with friends, family gatherings, or even office after-parties. I’m already craving for some more... Yum!

Yelp
Wonderful place for all you can eat around the Dallas area. Wide variety of options and food is fresher compared to other all you can eat options I have visited. My server, Gabriel, was attentive and made my meal a great experience.

Yelp
we visited on a weekend afternoon. i didn't realize that they had bbq as well as sushi -- i saw an online influencer only eat sushi here. so we were pleasantly surprised. the lowest menu option on the weekend is the $40 per person combo. it was a little pricier than i intended bc the lunch price on weekdays is around $24. we got a variety of meats and sushi the try. the standouts were definitely the steak, some other meats, and the nigiri. the steak was PERFECT. so tender and we cooked it to perfection. def the best item we got. the beef belly, brisket, and galbi were also good. we also got the seared salmon nigiri and wagyu seared beef nigiri which were really good and had a smoky buttery flavor. the bulgogi was just ok i thought it was too sweet. the sushi rolls were also just mid. inside is really cute with purple and pink neon lights and very clean. service was great!

Yelp
The ambiance and overall restaurant is decorated well and is clean. The employees were attentive and helpful to answer any questions I had. I came for a family birthday lunch and we did the regular tier option. Presentation was nice and out of all the meats we enjoyed the galbi ans shrimp tempura best but everything else was just okay nothing special. The sushi was small pieces but the rice was very mushy and didn't taste good. For the price we paid I felt that the quality of all the meats and the taste of all the foods didn't meet the expectations. Overall it was a good experience and I am glad I got to try but not sure if I would come back as I think there are better ayce options. I would give my experience and food a 3.5.

Yelp
Came here with a party of 5 on Sunday for lunch and it was just okay for the price. The service and the decor inside was good but I feel like the food wasn't worth the price of the AYCE. The quality of the meats were decent; I liked the wagyu signature steak quite a bit. We got a few different pieces of sushi and there wasn't much flavor to the rice and the rice was a bit mushy. It was a nice vibe but for the cheaper AYCE option I would rather go to a different BBQ spot.

Yelp
4/5 purely for the great meat quality. The stars are the APPETIZERS. Great Cheese Katsu, Salmon Skin Salad, Nigiri is lackluster but its okay! The dark horse is the phenomenal ventilation system. Service hit or miss, sometimes fast sometimes slow

Yelp
This is one of my favorite all-you-can-eat bbq places in the DFW right now. For the price you pay, it's definitely worth it because you get Wagyu and you also get galbi, so you're getting really good-quality meat for about $40, on top of sushi. The sushi was just okay, but the meat was really good. I made a reservation through the Yelp app, which was very helpful.

Yelp
Came here on Saturday at 6 p.m. for some ACYE Korean BBQ. It was pretty busy. The interior was huge and trendy, with lots of seating. We did the Rodeo Round option - Rodeo Round is basically the Bonfire plus special nigiri (one of each per person), carpaccio/sashimi, and prime beef, but it's about $15 more. The food was pretty good. The special nigiri (limited to 1 order of each per person) on the Rodeo Round was amazing, but the other additions (like prime beef) were meh. The Bonfire would have been perfectly fine if we didn't want the special nigiri. We tried basically everything, and the marinated short ribs (Galbi) were among the best. Unfortunately, service was a bit lacking. All orders have to go through your one designated waiter (no tablets or QR code ordering). If your waiter is busy and you've already finished your food, you're kind of stuck waiting. So timing is key - flag down your waiter to order more when you're on your last plate, especially if it's busy. One thing to note: if they find out it's your birthday, they go ALL out -- loud music, the entire staff comes over, and the whole restaurant knows.

Yelp
Really great quality and options for meat and sushi. Dinner is 40 AYCE and they also have weekday lunch special with only sushi as well. The beef brisket and short rib are great, sushi is good quality as well. Service is okay, sometimes they seem new/ inexperienced but nothing crazy. Interior is nice and we were able to get tables for 6 2 times with no reservation! Would be back again for AYCE

Yelp
The variety of meat, appetizers, small dishes, and sushi is amazing. I loved so many items on the menu, that I had to keep reordering, but unfortunately didn't have the stomach space to support the appetite my eyes and taste buds had haha. Also the customer service was awesome. Gabriel made our first experience there a standard setter. Due to his service and the quality of the food, I will definitely be back and highly recommend you visiting. If you're going to go all out on the prime short ribs, beef tongue, and maximize the orders on the specialty carpaccio and nigiri, then the Rodeo Round for $55 is worth it. Other than that, I think next time I'll stick to the Bonfire for $40. It is pricey, but honestly very worth it due to the variety and quality. Thanks again for the awesome customer service Gabriel. Look forward to seeing you next visit. *I forgot to take pictures unfortunately, due to the food looking too good, and my appetite screaming at me... apologies*

Yelp
Food and service was amazing! New to Dallas area and loved the options of all the meats and sides you can order and the staff were very helpful on what to order and their favorites dishes. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Second time coming here and the service was just as good as the first time! We had a party of 4 and were seated right away on a Friday night. Jo was our main server and was absolutely sweet as can be while, providing excellent service despite being so busy. The restaurant is clean, modern yet classy. There is a light club house music in the background but if you request a birthday celebration be ready...a loud happy song comes on the intercom and all the servers come sing happy birthday to you! XD If the service doesn't keep you coming back, the food will! There are basically 2 all you can eat dinner options that provide a huge variety to choose from. I've been to Japan twice and I have to say this place gets it pretty close. The sunomono cucumber appetizer is one of my favorites - so simple yet delicious! The dipping sauces are also not bad! I found myself dipping everything from meats to nigiri to karaage in them. Unfortunately, we don't live very close by but it's definitely one that we will make the drive for on a special occasion. I highly recommend Kauboi for anyone looking to experience cooking Japanese style meats while friendly service.

Yelp
First off, I was genuinely shocked at everything included in the AYCE price. The whole time I thought it was just the meat but on top of that there appetizers and dishes plus sushi all included. COUNT ME IN! I ended up getting so much but was so lost in the food to even take most pics. I ended up doing the Bonfire option and started with the Snow onion karaage which was so refreshing and perfectly hot and crispy. Ended up also getting the crispy rice w/ salmon and a bunch of other things. All the food we got was so fresh and nothing seemed reheated or cold. The meat itself was so tender too. Coming from a Korean who doesn't enjoy kbbq as much because they focus on quantity over quality, this place is superb for quality. I've tried JBBQ before but for this place being an AYCE location, I'm surprised at the quality. The Wagyu options and the overall meat you get is just so fresh and nice. I honestly don't have any complaints but can't give this a 5 star yet because I wasn't able to try everything I wanted. Service was amazing and I don't remember his name but our server was super attentive and checked our table pretty frequently. Overall place is super nice too and an awesome location. Great to take family and friends. Will definitely be coming back and hopefully the 4/5 will turn into a 5/5.

Yelp
I came here with a party of 8 and had a good experience. It was busy since it was a Sunday night so some of our food took a while to come or didn't come at all. Overall though, good food and good service. I came again the next week but during the day which was a lot slower and empty. My 5 stars is specifically for this experience. Our server was named Austin and he went above and beyond. He cooked the food for us to perfection (not sure if he worked at a kbbq place prior but he definitely knew how to cook everything on the grill perfectly). He made great recommendations and was quick and checked on us often. He kind of set the bar high and I'm not sure I will enjoy another visit as much unless he's my server just bc we usually overcook our food when we cook ourselves lol. Both time, both servers were super nice. I think it's funny how they look away when the iPad gets to the tip section. I get they're not trying to pressure you to tip but in my opinion, you've been giving me service for 1-2 hours, it's okay to pressure me a little haha. I would recommend getting meats and sashimi.
google avatar

Yelp
Great combination of sushi and japanese bbq which they provide all you can eat deals. It could get pretty pricey depending on the type of meat cuts and/or dishes you want, but it is all very good. Nothing beats your traditional cook to your liking meals where the only person you can get mad at is yourself if it is cooked bad. The service was top notch which the server was very attentive and made sure everything was up to par. Lots of tables around which could seat a lot of people in the restaurant, but thankfully, we came before the crowd. Would definitely recommend this place to all which I enjoyed both the sushi and bbq.

Yelp
A Feast Worth the Food Coma If you're looking for a place where your taste buds throw a party and your stomach questions your life choices, this is it. I came here for my girlfriend's birthday, and WOW! What an experience! Ken, our server, deserves a medal (or at least unlimited sushi for life). The staff was attentive without hovering like helicopter parents, and even the bartender popped by to make sure our drinks were living their best life. The food? Fantastic. The Japanese BBQ and sushi combo is basically a cheat code for happiness. The meat selections for the BBQ were solid, and the special nigiri? Absolutely on point, although fair warning, they limit it to one order per person. The decor was amazing, both the food presentation and the restaurant layout were stylish and inviting, making the whole experience feel elevated. Pro tip: pace yourself. It's all-you-can-eat, not all-you-can-regret. Over-ordering is tempting, but trust me, you want to leave room for the "last leg" of the menu because you'll want to finish strong, not tap out halfway through. Would I come back? Absolutely. Would I recommend it? 100%. Just bring your appetite and maybe a game plan.

Yelp
Kauboi blew me away! We did the Rodeo Menu ($120 for 2) and it was worth every penny. Huge shoutout to Austin, our server--attentive, friendly, and made sure our first time was amazing. Must-tries: prime short rib, wagyu steak, special nigiri (toro = favorite), seared salmon/wagyu nigiri, and the spicy tuna crispy rice. Beef quality was great quality, just a sprinkle of salt and it melted in your mouth. House salad over cucumber salad. nigiri over carpaccio. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Yelp
We love all kinds of bbq and have been to many different places. Overall, Kauboi was mediocre at best, and we didn't find anything about the food or experience to be great. I feel like we went to a different place than the place that many great reviews were written about- but I double-checked the receipt to confirm that I was not mistaken. A few of the more memorable things: - meats were ok, slightly less quality than similar places we've been- including some of the big chain Japanese bbq. We paid for the more expensive option too- definitely not worth it - wagyu wasn't close to quality we expected - the single oyster tasted like it was not fresh - service was not nearly as good or friendly as in other nearby places - A small thing that was more odd, but characteristic of our experience in general: We asked if they had iced green tea. We would have been perfectly happy with a "no," and then just ordered hot tea, but the server said they had it, brought out two glasses of iced water and dropped tea bags in them. Well- that doesn't work. When we said something about it, the server did take them off the bill. Overall- there are many better alternatives not far.

Yelp
First time visit was between ok and good. We came in shortly after they opened for the day so it not was not busy yet. Mark was our server and he answered our questions regarding the special sushi rolls as there are no descriptions. We opted for the Bonfire set since we were interested in the wagyu meat options but didn't need all the premium meats that the Rodeo set offered. We also wanted to try the sushi and appetizers so stomach space was limited. For the meats, I enjoyed the wagyu brisket and the wagyu signature steak. The wagyu beef belly was a little to fatty, even for me ha! We did also try the LA galbi and pork collar. We all loved the nigiri. The rice to fish ratio was perfect. I liked the baked salmon roll and my family enjoyed the kauboi roll. Appetizers were ok. The yellowtail kama was good, chicken karaage was fried nice but lacked flavor, the cheese pork cutlet was a definite pass. Service became spotty as they got busier. They did not change our grill at all during the entire meal, even after we had LA galbi. Very disappointed in that. I ordered the salmon kama but was given yellowtail kama. It was still good, but I'm sure I would've liked the salmon more. The interior is nicely decorated with modern decor and pretty plant accents. Overall, I would come back but the first impression did not wow me enough to rush back any time soon.

Yelp
10/10 recommend We came here during their soft opening and they were pretty busy but were very accommodating. Wait was about 45 minutes, they don't have much space and could probably use a few more benches in the front but there was a patio on the side where people were waiting, but no one really directed us there. There are 3 tiers to pick from $29, $39 & $49. We chose the to tier to enjoy the wagyu and prime meats and it was worth it. The ayce sushi isn't really ayce for the premium but we were able to get one serving apiece of that selection. Definitely need more Banchan to supplement - only had kimchi, onions and salad on request. Quality of the meats and fish were great for ayce. Restaurant is pretty spacious and clean. Hoping to continue eating here if their quality remains.

Yelp
Checked out this new place and it was pretty good overall. They don't have their beer and wine license yet, so just soft drinks for now. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated with a modern feel. The food was mostly good, but I'd skip the karage. The chicken didn't have much flavor and the batter tasted like plain flour. The sushi was better than I expected, but the wasabi was way too pasty, so I passed on that. They limit you to only five pieces of sushi per order, so that's a little weird, but I'm sure it's to reduce waste. Didn't try any rolls. The takoyaki is probably the most authentic I've had! Worth a try for sure. The meats were good, but the beef portions were really small and the spicy pork was huge. Not sure why, but I would guess that it has to do with beef being quite a bit more expensive than pork. Would love more bonchon options, but the two they had were tasty. Don't forget to ask for sesame oil and samjang. They swapped out my grill when it got dirty, didn't have to ask. The grills come pre-seasoned and oiled, so less sticking. Nice! They're still figuring things out since they're brand new, but I'll definitely come back.

Yelp
This is I think my 3rd or 4th time here, they've raised their prices Food was pretty good but it was a busy saturday night. I felt like they didnt have enough workers because water wasnt being refilled, grill changes were long, and wrong orders brought out twice. I can tell if theyre busy when the seared salmon isnt seared. Or food runners just dropping it off and dashing

Yelp
I made a reservation for my brother's birthday and seating was a breeze. Kauboi is AYCE offering both meats and sushi with three different levels. We opted for the most expensive ($49/person) menu and weren't disappointed! The wagyu meats were each sliced with care and nice and fatty. The ribeye also was mouth watering, but the star of this place is the sushi! The fish was super fresh and the rice was so small. It was nice seeing a AYCE place that doesn't force a ton of rice under each nigiri and also has really fresh fish. To note there are a few selections that are only one order per person for the whole meal (oysters and premium nigiri), but the regular nigiri's fish was also really good. Service was really solid. From seating, to ordering, to food delivery the restaurant was well staffed and everyone seem happy to be there. Being the only Asian AYCE in this area of Plano (so far) I have high hopes that Kauboi will be successful!

Yelp
Love this place! The option for all you can eat sushi AND BBQ is perfect! Good quality food worth the price. Friendly service from all. Awesome decor.
google avatar

Kelly T.

Yelp
It's about 3.5 stars for me. Loved that they had bbq options you grill yourself and menu options from the kitchen. Service was quick and friendly. The portions were perfect as it allowed you to try a lot of things. Food was solid but not memorable. Didn't like their kid prices. I have a really tall kid that doesn't eat much, but bcs he's more than 42in tall, got charged adult prices. Feels like it should be based on age like most other places. Also menu was a bit hard to read, like organized weird and hard to read. I missed veggie options for grilling until we were done eating. Overall decent but nothing extraordinary.

Yelp

Yelp
OMG this place is our new favorite!! They've got it all!! First let me say that it was still soft opening this week but by far the best soft opening operation I've seen!! Service here was excellent. Super friendly and attentive. They actually cooked the meat for us and cleaned the grill often. The entire place is new so everything was still clean and super modern looking. Food was excellent. We got the highest option to try out all the special items like the Toro, Amaebi, oysters, salmon belly, premium steaks, etc. Everything we had was excellent quality other than the shrimp and pork gyoza which ended up being a mushy weird shumai thing instead...They probably shouldn't label that a gyoza. Also for the price it would be nice to have a dessert option. That all being said, we will definitely be back and I see this being a DFW fave soon!

Yelp
Tany was our server, she did a great job and made sure we were taken care of. The wagyu was great quality and the sushi was fresh!

Yelp
Update. I got charged 40% tips. This is so wrong !!!! I question whether these reviewers receive compensation for their endorsements. . PS: those ppl probably never had real experience with Waygu before, they must be Wagyu newbies

Yelp
OMG MUST come! Great atmosphere, great beef, pork, chicken, rice, ramen, sushi, sashimi, etc.! Will definitely come back

Yelp
SCAM ALERT! Unauthorized Charges and Threatening Staff! I would give 0 stars if I could. This was the most appalling dining experience I have ever had. The service was nonexistent--we had to constantly beg the staff just to bring our food. However, the service was nothing compared to their dishonest billing practices. Our bill was $319.92, but they secretly added two separate tips of $57.79 and $73.56 without our consent! When we caught this blatant fraud, the manager tried to dismiss us by offering a measly $15 refund. After we insisted on a full correction, we thought it was resolved, only for a male employee to approach us 5 minutes later, screaming at us to "get out" and falsely accusing me of threatening the manager. This place is running a scam. They overcharge guests and then use intimidation tactics to kick you out when you catch them. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! They are dishonest, unprofessional, and aggressive. Check your bank statements carefully if you've been here!

Yelp
i heard theyre getting rid of their ayce sushi... so go in while u can also ive been twice and both times i had great waiters that were super attentive and gave me everything i needed. i got their mid tier option - and tbh they have some of the best steaks. it was amazing. sushi is pretty good too. everything is honestly good as long as you have ppl to share it with. i like their salmon, and highly recommend their riceless rolls. do not get the wagyu roll. all the meats r super good + the grill gets really hot. so if you love to eat fast, the grill is perfect. also the restraunt is nicely laid out, so its not super claustrophobic.

Yelp
My two favorite food groups - meat and sushi I feel like this place was still in a soft opening stage when I came because even though the place was pretty much empty it took them a little while to get us seated, but no worries. Service was excellent - meat orders came out almost instantly - beautiful cuts of meat and fresh sushi. The menu is quite extensive - especially if you go for the Rodeo Round. Maybe do a bit of homework before going in so you know what you're getting into. Grills are actually kbbq style, not the scorching hot Japanese ones - just an fyi. Overall a great dining experience - only thing I wished they had was a sashimi option instead of having to order nigiri only because I'm on keto right now, otherwise a very respectable menu at a reasonable price!

Yelp
Kauboi seems to be fairly new. You'll need to book a reservation as it was jam packed on a Friday evening. We had reservations for six people but they wanted to split us up into two 4-top booths that had a median down the center. . What sense does that make?? Anyway, we went ahead and squeezed into one booth. It was BYOB as of September 2025 so bring in alcohol as they don't serve anything! We had the premium $55 per person all you can eat option which included cuts of Wagyu. I thought only one cut was good enough to order again but the others weren't great so we could have easily opted for the $40 per person option. They don't offer many banchans as you have to request them. The ambiance was nice as it seemed to be more of a date night type of place. Apparently, they're not great with groups (maybe they have bigger tables for larger parties?). Our server was amazing as she checked up on us often or other servers stopped by to place our orders. I wouldn't go back as there are plenty of Korean BBQ places with better quality of meats.

Yelp
Despite just opening this place is still quite a hidden gem, got seated immediately and was served very quickly For 40$ this was probably one of the best ayce experiences I've ever had anywhere, which idea REALLY high praise for me as i love kbbq and sushi The American wagyu is legit, and the real surprise is that the nigiri was REALLY good, like i would be happy at a spot down sushi spot good. My only suggestion for them is to bring out some banchan at the start. If you have great potato salad or japchae I'm sure that'll actually save you some money as they'll fill people up, but the lack of banchan was def the most noticeable flaw Regardless the ayce American wagyu is legit. Definitely come give it a try

Yelp
Such a cute place for date night! The ambiance is nice and customer service is quick and friendly. The quality meat is really good & lots of choices. My husband has been back 2x this month! Our favorite dish is the Salmon Kama

Yelp
Came in on a Monday night and was super excited to try this place after hearing about it. And I hate to say it... but I was pretty disappointed. It started off really well but kind of went down hill in terms of service. We asked for a grill change and the server changed the grill for the table behind us, we were brought things we didn't order, and our server kind of forgot about us for long periods of time even after we asked for water. Food wasn't too bad but felt like we could've gotten a lot more for the price point of what we paid which was the Rodeo Round Set ($49/person). There were only 3 Wagyu choices and the Rodeo has the oyster appetizer, special nigiri, prime meat options. We also were very confused about the Nagasaki Ramen which we ordered but it didn't match up to the picture on the menu at all sadly. Overall, it looks really nice inside and we had pretty high hopes but we probably won't ever come back. However, I would encourage others to try it in hopes that maybe they'll like it and they were just having an off day.

Yelp
The food is great. Wagyu beef is good quality. The appetizers are beautifully presented, with clean flavors, contrasting textures, and just the right portion size to tease the palate without making you full too quickly. Service is great, Our server, Gabrielle was courteous and soft‑spoken, always addressing us with a warm smile and respectful body language and attentive without hovering, checking in at just the right moment. The ambiance is serene, with a calm, unhurried energy that makes you want to linger over each course. It's our first time dining here and would like to come back with the whole family next time.

Yelp
We rarely write negative reviews but our recent experience at this place left us befuddled....so, this review is based on the service we (did not) received at this restaurant. Our friend had made a dinner reservation for a party of 6 at least a week ahead of time. Upon arriving, we were shown to a 4 top booth that was set up for a party of 3....take a look at the pictures and you can see this booth really doesn't work for a party of 6 adults. The hostess' solution was to sit us with adjoining booths which were separated by a 2 foot wide separator - not really feasible . The manager was surprisingly indifferent.....they have bigger tables but her reaction was "those tables are for bigger parties than yours". At this point, we found the attitude to be quite rude and opted to enjoy our dinner at an alternative venue. Here is what would have been an appropriate response: There was enough advance notice in the reservation to know this was not a good seating, just call and let us know so we can decide whether to cram, or offer another time with a more appropriate table - we would have gladly adjusted our timing to accommodate our party size; Further, if you can't call, then at least let us know how long we'd have to wait for an appropriate table - if the answer was still "not available tonight" that would've been better than an indifferent shrug from the "manager". We love eating out and appreciate great service - best-in-class service always confirms the reservation and in some cases reviewed the tables available and gave us a choice to best match our party. Apologies for the long write up but it was so disappointing....it seems the food is okay and we were keen to give it a try. In today's tough economy and hyper-competitive restaurant market, it's sad to see what could be a great time spoiled before even getting seated.

Yelp
Was excited to try this place... pictures look great! We ordered the rodeo round and ordered the wagyu and prime items... Solid 2.75 stars... had a couple meats that were def not up to par. The beef tongue came out frozen :( The sushi items I'd say are average AT BEST... some of the fish was warm . I don't think it's decent enough to warrant coming back and giving it a second try. Our sever was Thy - 5/5!

Yelp
For dinner time, you have two options of Bonfire Set or Rodeo Round Set. Me and my boyfriend opted for the Bonfire Set since we're just interested in trying the wagyu. The meats we got were the wagyu brisket, wagyu beef belly, & wagyu signature steak, LA galbi, & beef bulgogi. The wagyu brisket and beef belly were my favorite. It was dripping of fat when cooking it, but that's what's expected since it's a fatty cut of meat. My boyfriend's favorite was the beef bulgogi. The marinate was so sweet and flavorful. The nigiri was good, but nothing special. The rice to fish ratio was perfect, not a lot of rice. My favorites are the salmon & yellowtail nigiri. The seared salmon & cajun tuna was a little overcooked since the piece of fish was thin. The spicy salmon with onion & chili crispy rice was alright. I was a little disappointed that it wasn't spicy at all. We also tried the salmon delight roll, which had mango & cream cheese topped with salmon & a sweet mango sauce. It was interesting. We only tried one of the appetizer, chicken karaage. I wouldn't recommend getting this. It was powdery and is just like popcorn chicken. I wanted to try the salmon kama, but was told that they were out of that & the yellow kama. There other reviews saying that they don't have or ran out. Why have it on the menu when it sometimes out. The service was what was expected when the restaurant is super busy. Our server still gave us great service. When we didn't get our second round of meats she went to the back to check up on it. There were some instances where we were brought stuff that we didn't order or already got. I'm not sure if she accidentally put those items for our table or since it was so busy that the food runner got the tables mixed up. Overall, this place is unique that it has wagyu. There's not a lot of meat options. The Rodeo Round Set only has 4 extra choices of meats & carpaccio. It's worth a try & recommend getting the Bonfire Set so you can get the both sushi and japanese bbq.

Yelp
Just tried out a new spot in Plano called Kauboi Great AYCE that offers sushi and grilled meats as well as various hot food. I will definitely be back to try out the rest of the menu. Service was great. My server Sophie explained the menu clearly and how the AYCE works as well as pricing. Also made good suggestions on what to try.

Yelp
The husband and I visited this restaurant during its soft opening and recently went back again. Each time, the food quality was excellent. We had Mark as our server both times, and he even remembered us. The staff is incredibly kind and went above and beyond to assist our table, even when Mark was quite busy. Unlike other AYCE restaurants, where some options may not be as good as others, both of us thoroughly enjoyed their sushi and BBQ quality! We will definitely be returning and this might become our new go-to place.

Yelp
Love this place - it was my first time going to a Japanese BBQ place that also serves sushi, and honestly it turned out much better than I expected. The vibe of the place was really nice and the food was excellent all around; the BBQ meats were fresh and flavorful, and the sushi was just as good, which surprised me since most places usually specialize in one or the other. The staff was super friendly and attentive too. Will definitely come back!

Yelp
It's a nice and fun restaurant. We like their food. Their bbq meat quality, selection and taste are not as good as Gyu Kaku or Gen but better than a lot of other AYCE bbqs around. Same thing with sushi items. The night we went was supper busy and I think the servers got overwhelmed. It was a bit hard to get them, orders missing and had to reorder etc. but they were nice.

Yelp
We have never had a dining experience like this one so we weren't sure what to expect. It was wonderful! The server was very helpful, answered all our questions and helped us in learning. We would definitely go back!

Yelp
Sophie is hands down one of the best waitresses I've ever had. From the moment we sat down, she greeted us with the warmest smile and made us feel so welcome. She was incredibly attentive without ever being overbearing, and somehow managed to anticipate what we needed before we even asked. What impressed me most was her professionalism mixed with genuine kindness--she treated us like friends, not just customers. Our drinks were always full, food came out perfectly, and she checked in just the right amount of times. Sophie has that rare ability to make a dining experience feel special, like she truly cares about making sure you're happy. If you're lucky enough to be served by Sophie, you're in for an amazing experience. She goes above and beyond, and it shows. Restaurants need more people like her!

Yelp
This is a new Japanese BBQ place that just opened up in the Preston area (great area). The service was out of this world. We had a girl named Thy Le and she was so kind, so diligent, and did not skip a beat. Even though we ordered so many items, they all came in a timely manner and she always had a new grill plate for us to use. The ambiance was great. It feels high end and clean. Obviously the main focus is the BBQ grills, but it's also designed well. The only knock I give it is the food could be a little better. We spent $100 for two people, and everything was good, but only a few items were great. We loved the Wagyu brisket and the beef gyoza, but most other items were just 'good'. This is a personal opinion but I would stay away from chicken. The marination burns quickly on the grill and it's hard to judge when it's fully cooked, but again, that's just me. Overall a great experience and I would come back with friends for sure!

Yelp
The dumplings were really good and I appreciated that they didn't come with too many in one order so it gave me a chance to try a bunch of other things. they were really crispy and surprisingly had a good amount of spice. mamacita roll is a musket because it not only had a really good flavor, but it had a good texture with all of the crisp. Also, the role didn't fall apart, which is something that happens at a lot of all you can eat places. The crispy rice was really filling and it tasted really good with a decent amount of avocado, but it wasn't crispy... Honestly, I would get it again, but if you're expecting really crispy rice, that's not it wagyu brisket supeisngly really good. I don't normally like un marinated KBBQ meat because there's nothing really to it but this one had a smoky flavor and also something about the texture was just really pleasant. Short rib was another one that I was really surprised by because even though it had bones, which is just always annoying for me to have to deal with scissors, it was actually worth it! I only normally avoid any meat that requires a bunch of cutting or cooking time but I put 100% at this one again because the flavor was immaculate I tried a bunch of the Nigiri, but honestly, I would never get it again. They just really didn't have any flavor. Somehow if I was craving fish honestly I would go for one of the rolls. The Wagyu beef belly, although it didn't have as much flavor as some of the other meats, it was just so fun to eat because of the shape and size and they crisp up really nice. I honestly just put it in some of the soy sauce and it was fantastic. I would also really like to acknowledge my waiter Austin . He was really amazing and sweet and at tentative, and kept on changing the cooking plate for me and would sometimes even put the meat on the stove for me. He was really really good. The place itself looks beautiful and clean and is not too smoky which is also a problem I've noticed in a lot of places. It also felt really spacious and I didn't feel like a sardine cramped in with a bunch of people. They have a bunch of parking as well outside.
