The Best Poke in Honolulu: 11 Restaurants to Hit - Eater

"The four Koki brothers opened this poke and seafood counter in a strip mall on the Windward side, scooping a combination of fresh and previously frozen fish (you can tell which is which by the prices). Fresh fish is featured in the more minimal preparations, like limu poke and one with ‘opihi (sharply briny Hawaiian limpets, pried off rocks in rough waters). Thawed fish is blanketed under a concoction of mayo and imitation crab, and topped with kimchi seasoning in the best-selling pau hana ‘ahi poke." - Martha Cheng

Google
Wonderful place to grab gluten-free poke. There's 2 GF options: spicy ahi (no furikake) and fresh ahi (no shoyu). I got the fresh ahi which is marinated in sesame oil and salt, asked for no shoyu or furikake on the rice. Since I also have a nut allergy the lady said she would prepare a fresh one as there's kukui nuts in the fresh ahi. Huge portion, tastes amazing, and friendly staff! I suggest going to beautiful He'eia State Park to enjoy your poke. Highly recommend!

Google
insane dish quality and flavor. i always take people who visit to this spot. the staff has always been so friendly and you can tell it’s a local favorite by how they treat they’re regulars. you can sample the flavors and they always have a wide variety. they have previously frozen and fresh cuts; which have a different texture (something to keep in mind). i find the previously frozen cuts to be a softer where the fresh has more of a bite to it. something else to keep in mind: no seating so it’s a grab and go place.

Google
The portions are huge! They are very generous with big chunks of fresh tuna, perfectly flavored and well-prepared. This is the best poke I’ve ever had—highly recommended! The service is friendly and patient, and the prices are great too!

Google
It’s the best poke I ever have. The staff is nice and let us try couples of favor. The fish is so fresh. I love lava flow best , I even eat the left sauce. Pau Hana is also perfect. I will definitely come back!

Google
I wish i could give this place more stars. The service was amazing, able to give samples of anything. Portions were huge. And for such a good price! Better than tanioka's in my opinion even without all the tempura options. Dynamite is my fave!! This is not a sit down place, also limited parking.

Google
We picked up some very fresh Poke from K. Bay Bros Fish & Ice before going to the beach. The poke is absolutely delicious. We will definitely come back before leaving the island to try some more different flavors. The staff is very friendly, too. Would highly recommend.

My kid ate spicy tuna and loved it. Shave ice lychee flavor was pretty good.

Google
Best Poke I’ve ever had, and for such reasonable prices. A huge selection of different options. Definitely come here if you’re looking for Poke on Oahu, you won’t regret it. They also let you sample them so you can be sure you’re happy with your selection 💖 Their fresh fish options are more expensive than the previously frozen. I didn’t mind the previously frozen scallops and shrimp, they were still very delicious! But their fresh salmon Poke was so good and definitely worth the premium.

Yelp
This place is amazing. You choose your type of poke and it can be two different ones plus a heaping amount of white rice with furikake on top. We read many reviews and wanted to try this place it was busy but worth the wait.

Yelp
This place is always so ono! Their fish is always fresh & their combination of sauces & poke us amazing!! I love their dynamite tako & ahi. Just enough hint of spice where it doesn't fully burn my mouth or make my nose run. For the quality the price is just right. Some other poke places have upp'd pricing but given less poke with their poke bowls, but not this place. You can also buy bags of ice if needed. The staff is always so friendly & service is fast. It's in a small parking lot so easy parking when it's not super busy. But there's also street parking. Recommend if craving poke!

Yelp
Got their "Pau Hana" poke bowl that comes with 2 choices of poke and rice. Gotta come early for the poke bombs! They also do catering too for sushi and poke bombs platters. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C7sJsP1SYS1/?igsh=aWN4NWdndmVxZDY=

Yelp
I stopped into this place because my wife and kids wanted to have a late lunch/early dinner, and the reviews I read were pretty impressive, plus my wife loves poke and sashimi, so I figured it would probably be a hit. We walked in around 3pm on Sunday, and the shop was very small, clearly designed for quick service. There wasn't any seating available, so we decided to eat at a nearby beach park. My wife wanted to buy my young daughter some inari bombs, but unfortunately they sell out very quickly. The ladies that were working the front were very friendly and let us know that if we wanted to order inari bombs, that we could call early and reserve some, and we probably will in the future. They offer frozen and fresh poke options, with the fresh being more expensive. We ended up buying 4, 2 choice poke bowls and 1, 1 choice bowl for my daughter. We also got a half pound of the garlic shrimp poke. The poke bowls were delicious and the portions were pretty large. I guessed that there was probably about a pound of poke in the 2 choice bowls, which was very filling. I highly recommend getting furikake on the rice, and eel sauce on the poke. It will not disappoint.

Yelp
I don't wanna say Kbaybros is the sole reason I've been coming to Kaneohe more often, but it actually is. This place has quickly become one of my top spots for poke on the island. It's a small store with a poke counter and fridges/freezers in the back with ice cream and other treats. The line often goes out the door, but the workers are quick and super friendly too. I usually get the same thing here, which is a 2 choice bowl with lava flow and rainbow poke. I like that the price of the bowl adjusts to fresh or frozen ahi, or one of each. The rainbow poke is my favorite because it has it all: ahi, salmon and hamachi with ponzu on the side. The most recent time I went, some of the ahi was marbled almost like chu toro. Score! Extra points for the packaging of their bowls which keeps the fish separated from the hot rice. For the price and quality, this place can't be beat!

Yelp
Got the spicy ahi and spicy shoyu ahi and was not disappointed by either. Friendly service with excellent selection of poke and other pupus including desserts. The inside is a little small with no seating, but even if there is a line out the door expect it to move quick.

Yelp
Stopped in a second time. The poke is very consistent and good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean and modern ambience. The crowd came right after me. They have the fresh side poke and the previously frozen side. The fresh side is a little higher in price but no matter what side you order from, it is super good. I tried quite a bit in my two visits and my fav is the Lava Flow poke. I will definitely come back again.
google avatar

Brinney B.

Yelp
The food here overall was amazing! I'd say what stole the show for me was the raw kimchi crabs and the ahi opihi poke!!! Everything was super flavorful and the workers were super friendly. There is no inside seating inside the restaurant so you'd have to take this for Togo. They have so many different choices for poke and by far has the widest selection and variety of all the poke places I've been to. Only criticism for this place would be the rice, it was a little dry but nothing extreme! Would come back :)

Yelp
We came after Kualoa Ranch tour. Poke is very tasty. Fish is very fresh and clean. I got the salmon and tuna. Salmon was very fatty and melt in ur mouth. Tuna was meaty and delicious. Nice service. Very busy. Solid poke if ur in this area.

Yelp
Hidden poke place in Kaneohe! It's located right outside of Windward mall. There's fresh poke and a variety of options other than fish. I love their inari bombs. 5 for $10! Next time I need to try their bento box with an option of 1 or two choices. There's parking but it can get full. You can park on the street or walk from the mall too. Service was friendly and the time I went was fast, no one in the store. There was a previous time the line was put the door with at least 5 people!

Yelp
Delicious unique poke options - took our ahi to the beach and never looked back! The pau hana was so flavorful and creamy, but the fresh marinated shoyu ahi was the highlight. Bummed we couldn't get the crab inari but the spicy ahi inari bombs were killer.

Yelp
Super friendly and helpful staff within a modest-sized shop that serves outstanding poke and a variety of tasty ice creams. We went with two 2-item poke bowls which both included a generous portion of furikake-topped white rice. On the first, we chose the pau hana poke (including chunks of previously frozen ahi mixed with seasonings and topped with crab salad) and spicy ahi poke (mixed with spicy mayo). For the second, we chose fresh shoyu ahi poke and fresh Hawaiian ahi poke. Each of the poke's was delicious, with the fresh ahi poke's being a little more tender and buttery. We also got the spicy ahi inari bombs which were really delicious, as the rice was a little sweeter and the inari was tender. They were a great compliment to the poke bowls. Our dessert was the POG ice cream which had the texture closer to an Italian ice but with the classic POG flavors--certainly a nice way to end our lunch!

Yelp
First time, it was good! Seared Ahi with Ginger Sauce $9.41 The former Love's Bakery Thrift Shop location in Kaneohe. In the same small Shopping Center with Wholesale Unlimited, Dome Cafe, Nail Salon and Hakuyosha. Plenty choices to choose from that it's hard to decide. I will be back again.

Yelp
Super fresh poke selection and some unique ones like the blue crab and yuzu flavored. Parking in a little strip mall. There was a line but it went quickly. They also sold other snacks, boiled peanuts, sashimi and guri guri icecream. My faves were the bluefin sashimi and yuzu poke. Small but clean and well organized store.

Yelp
Updating this review and we weren't asked to update the review from K Bay Bros, we just felt how Debbie resolved this situation deserved an updated review. We just wanted to say we appreciate you guys for reaching out, hearing us out, resolving the issue and going above and beyond to take care of us. We really appreciate the conversations we had and thank you again Debbie for everything, we really appreciate your kindness and putting in the effort you did to resolve this unfortunate situation

Yelp
I am by no means a poke aficionado. I prefer sashimi and sushi to be quite honest. However, I've been researching more out of town poke/sashimi spots and this place was mentioned as one of the best on the windward side of the island. Took the drive there to try the garlic tako poke, rainbow poke and salmon poke. Salmon poke was underseasoned but fresh, rainbow poke did not meet the hype and the pieces were not premium grade (had some gristle here and there), but the tako poke!!! What a revelation! I had dreams about this poke for a couple weeks after I first tried it. Slightly sweet and salty, very well seasoned and had bits of onion and garlic melded very well into such a delectable dish..the tako tasted fresh as well. Minus the one star because I've been buying a pound at a time every once in a while, and there have been more off days than good ones. Tako can get a little slimy if not freshly made, and honestly the last visits purchase was not my cup of tea. My fervor for tako poke cravings have cooled off but this place is still a great stop if you're in the general area. I would definitely go with the poke bowls (rice is always made fresh and piping hot). Fresh ahi poke price points are a little expensive. I prefer this place over Fresh Catch or Ono's in town but comparable to my Foodland Farms and Don Quijote poke choices.

Yelp
Our first day in Hawaii and our first craving: poke! Coming onto Yelp, we were led to KBay, and based on the reviews, needed to check them out! While the location of the joint is centered in an awkward strip mall, it's still a very accessible location, behind Zippys and next to Windward Mall. Walking up, we noticed a line of folks, which told us the place lived up to the hype. In fact, in almost all pics on Yelp, you'll notice a line of people waiting - so expect to wait until you order your meal. In total, we waited about 20-25 minutes before getting up to the front counter. The staff was super sweet and moved very quickly; they were also very patient with some of our questions, given that it was our first time. The location doesn't have any indoor seating; just enough space for the poke counter and a couple of fridges for drinks. For my lunch, I got the mixed bowl option - 1 fresh fish option and 1 previously frozen option. For my fresh protein, I got the salmon poke, and for the previously frozen, I went with the pau hana poke - imitation crab salad on top of ahi poke with a kimchee base. Each bowl comes with a healthy serving of white rice with furikake and unagi sauce. On the side, I also go 1/2 pound of garlic tako for $13.99 a pound. WOW, I officially found my next favorite poke spot. The pau hana was sooooo good. So flavorful, with tons of protein and all mixed well together. The fresh salmon was fatty in a good way and the shoyu mix was sweet/salty and nice flavor. I also very much loved the garlic tako - strong garlic flavor. I was blown away!! When you're in Kane'ohe, DO NOT MISS this place. It's worth every penny and I can't wait to return!

Yelp
We were visiting Northshore and wanted some poke for lunch. Our original chosen poke spot was closed so we decided to come here. SO GLAD that we did!!! We would have missed out on the freshest and best poke on the island of Oahu. A happy alternative! The store itself is on the smaller size and it does get packed! It's pretty cold inside too so keep that in mind. The customer service was immaculate, quick, and super friendly. We felt like we were valued customers! The prices were reasonable too for the portion sizes! I saw a bunch of customers buying poke by the tubful and honestly, I'm regretting that we didn't! They have fresh and previously frozen options. The fresh options are limited and runs out quickly so definitely get there early! We paid like $18 for a combo poke bowl (it was more of like a platter to be honest) with fresh and frozen options with rice and furikake (Japanese seasoning) on top. Hint: if someone asks you if you want furikake on your rice, always say yes!! It adds a nice flavor to the rice and enhances it too! We got the following (all previously frozen and fresh combined): Dynamite tuna ( previously frozen) poke: 9/10 - we noticed that this was a favorite as it was almost all gone and we could all see why! It was beyond delicious and even though it was previously frozen, it still was super fresh! The difference I could tell between the previously frozen and fresh was the the previously frozen poke was a little chewier and didn't melt in my mouth as the fresh poke did. Nonetheless, the flavor makes up for it! The dynamite tuna poke had a heaping amount of imitation crab on top with fried small tempura balls, seaweed, spicy mayo?. It was creamy, rich, a slight hint of spice, and while it was covered in toppings, I could still taste the tuna. I love that they still kept the integrity of the tuna and didn't let everything else overwhelm it. It was not fishy at all (no smell or taste)! Fresh ahi tuna: 100000/10 - I can't even begin to describe this poke. It was so fresh that it melted in my mouth as soon as I took a bite. I think I was in heaven the whole time I was eating it. It was cleaned properly and no fishy smell or taste at all. I believe it was marinated in soy sauce and yuzu and I love how simple it was because you get to taste the tuna as fresh as you can in it's freshest form. I did ask for eel sauce and spicy mayo to be added on top because I love those sauces and it did not take away from the natural flavor of the tuna at all. I don't know how they did it, but whatever they are doing, they're doing it right. I've had alot of fresh tuna in my lifetime and this has got to be one of the freshest tuna I've ever had. I'm sad because I'm missing it right now. My husband had the fresh ahi tuna and also previously frozen tako (octopus). I tried the tako (it had a spicy sauce) and it was really good too! I love tako and if it's not prepared properly, it gets chewy. The tako was not chewy and tasted fresh, better than most sushi restaurants! My BIL had the fresh ahi tuna x2. We all finished our poke platters in 20 minutes because it was so dang on good! We debated on coming back for seconds too but had to leave due to being on a time crunch. Note: they don't have indoor or outdoor seating or a bathroom. It's like a counter where you go and order. They do have drinks, some with sea moss added and also ice cream! As I mentioned before, go early to ensure you get the fresh poke. They were running out of the fresh tuna and salmon when we went around 12pm. I don't mind the previously frozen poke (and neither did the other customers) but I would suggest you try their fresh poke first. Overall, would definitely come back here again if we're in Hawaii again. Customer service was the best and some of the best and freshest poke ever? Say less!

Yelp
10000/10 best deal and service you'll get for poke on island! They have TONS of choices and the price cannot be beat for the taste, quality, variety, and amount of food. Everything is super yummy and they really give you a lot! The staff is super nice and the line is kinda long but it moves really fast! There's a parking lot right in front too. Overall, definitely my fav poke stop on island.

Yelp
I'm a huge fan of poke bowls. I frequently crave poke and beer so i was thrilled to find out about this place. It was recommended to both my son and myself by 2 different people, so we figured it has to be good, right? No lie, this was one of the best poke establishments I've gone to. So many choices of poke, and they have varieties in both fresh and previously frozen. The price was very reasonable and portions were amazing. When we arrived it was pretty lined up but service was fast. Its kind of hidden in a small strip mall behind Windward Mall, but once you find it, you are sure to come back time and again. This place is in my regular rotation of place to go when in need of a quick take out.

Yelp
It was fitting to have poke as the last meal on island. Yes, I could've gone other directions but I wanted the one thing that makes me ALWAYS miss Oahu and that's the incredible poke. So with only 3 hours left before flying international, I stopped by Kbay Bros and ordered their lava flow bowl with white rice and ate it across the street at the food court in the mall. For me, it was the perfect size and the ratio between rice and fish was spot on. The flavor of the lava flow sauce was beautiful and pairs perfect with the white rice. There were so many other choices that I wanted to try out but time...oh time always gets me. Never enough hours in a day BUUUUUTTTTT if your live on the island, there's no excuse! Go try all the different flavors and tell me which is your fave because, K Bay bros has quickly become my fave poke spot!
google avatar

Julie B.

Yelp
My new fav poke place. Got the Lava Flow and ahi shoyu rice plate w furikake. Was super ono and even with a line, I was out of there in less than 10 minutes. Can't wait to try more flavors.

Yelp
Fish & Ice is located in Kaneohe, where the Old Loves Bakery was and the Beach house on the corner. It's very small to eat therebut perfect for take out Fish is fresh and Poke Bowls are what we always go for. Pricing is normal for poke prices, not cheap, but what is on Hawaii?! LOL We get our normal spicy ahi poke bowl and head down to Ina ales. Cool teeny brewery on kahukipa st for a beer! (I'll post their review later)
google avatar

Benjamin R.

Yelp
Literally one of the best poke bowls I have had! I highly recommend checking this place out!

Yelp
Ventured out for Poki and happy we did. Tried the Dynamite Tako, Pau Hana Ahi & Lava Flow Ahi, with a side of Unagi sauce. Each had their own mix of spices and all were onolicious. Total broke da mouth kine! The unagi sauce excelled the dynamite tako. That is a must. The ahi inari was sold out so we are definitely pre-ordering that. My favorite was the Pau Hana Ahi, so far. Going to try each one to establish my favorites!

Shane H.

Yelp
We found this little gem while visiting Oahu. With a craving for poké, we searched Yelp for something special. K.Bay Bros hit all the right buttons. Their web page told their story and their offered variety is phenomenal. The shop is tiny but well organized and inviting. The quality and freshness of their rice and many varieties of fare was the best I've had and the location was clean and inviting. There is no seating, so it is only take out, but that was my intention anyway. Brilliant poké. Try the "Lava Flow."

Yelp
Awesome fresh fish and lots of different poke ! Either just get poke by the pound or poke bowls! They also have Kim Chee cucumber - pickled onions - tofu - poi boiled peanuts and so much more. You won't go wrong as the selection is huge and we fell in love with everything! These guys know the business well - great customer service and helpful staff. Located in a small strip mall just behind Zippy's near the Windward mall. They can get busy but line moves quickly

Yelp
best poke i've ever had, hands down. has a constant line, worth the wait. super friendly staff and huge variety of poke

Yelp
Oh my lanta!!! As my first time being here, they let u try out samples . If you're curious u can always ask their recommendation . But I love how the staff is friendly and they are patient. Me and my friends took awhile to figure out what we want, but we get it down. lol plus side they do have ice cream for desserts. Their prices are pretty good to me. I feel it's better than foodland. Haha . I got the 2 choice poke. One is pau Hana and the crab combo. It hits the spot and it's soo flavorful. I highly recommend this place if you're on the Kaneohe side it's right behind Windward mall around the corner. But I'll be back again to get the other flavors.
google avatar

Vina P.

Yelp
Yummers! Not your cookie cutter poke stop. Today I got the Paina and lotta garlic shrimp but gonna stop by again and again until I try everything on the menu. Wouldn't doubt this place runs out by lunchtime Pros: Paina- flavorful and unique, Shrimp- great balance between garlic and marinade. Awesome location, selection, service Cons: none Thank you for the suggestion Aunty behind the counter!

Yelp
Happy to say, this is still my fave place in Kaneohe to grab poke from. Also happy to say that since they first opened they got that second display case and the hot rice & poke are in separate compartments (at least for the 2 choice bowls). In addition to what they had previously... they now sell scoops sherbert, inari bombs, Kim Chee & some condiments. Fish is still fresh and one of the few places with properly cooked tako. Soft and a little bit chewy. The inari bombs sell out fast cause they are bomb! Pun intended. Haha. These ones are more fish than rice, the right way to make them! And of course, there's a container of unagi sauce in there as well. If you come to the Windward side, get a poke bowl from here. My faves are the fresh salmon, dynamite ahi (garlicky) and the pau hana!
google avatar

Lauren L.

Yelp
Had to come back again and revisit to get the inari spicy ahi bombs (I called way in advance to reserve it before closing time) and 1/4 pound of the rainbow and also spicy avocado ahi. I went with the straight poke instead of the bowl bc I felt like it was majority rice when I last had it and it's a better bang for your buck this way. Prices are reasonable. Fish had good flavors but I preferred the spicy avocado one more. Small little local store run by two sisters. They close at 6 and things tend to run out later on in the day. If you're looking for some fresh poke this is great place if you're on the side of the island.

Coleen N.

Yelp
On Kbaybros Fish & Ice is the very ono poke grinds to enjoy whether you're a local or tourist.. The hard-working crew are amazingly friendly and give 110% customer service. The location is quaint and small, but love their Ahi Poke Opihi. Spicy Ahi Avacado poke but most of all their ono spicy ahi Inari bomb rice pupu to enjoy! Thank you!

Krysten I.

Yelp
I've been here a couple times to get poke when I find myself in the area. There are some other poke places too, but I think Kbaybros offers a pretty great selection and it isn't too expensive. They are located in a little shopping square right next to the Windward Mall parking lot. They share a parking lot with a japanese restaurant, a small wholesale unlimited, a nail salon and a couple other random stores. I've never had a problem with parking. This is a take out place only. They offer various flavors of poke, sashimi and side dishes. Most things are pay by the pound. They also have a selection of ice creams sold in pints and maybe half pints. But there are no tables, so you have to take your food to go. I tried the spicy ahi and the furikake salmon. The spicy ahi is very mayo-y, but it has a lot of tobiko and the unagi sauce gives it good flavor. The salmon tasted really fresh. I get weird about salmon poke sometimes, but the one here is pretty good. I LOVE the poke bowl containers. I hate it when I get a poke bowl and the poke is atop really hot rice. By the time I get home to eat said poke bowl, everything is just like lukewarm temp. gross. At Kbaybros, they have sectioned take out containers so the rice doesn't warm up your poke. I love it. They also aren't like $20. I think my one choice poke bowl was $9. So affordable! Sure, the poke is made with previously frozen ahi, but I think it's better than foodland's.... just saying. The service was friendly and fast. They offered to make any poke that wasn't out on display. I get spicy ahi everywhere I go anyways. Maybe next time I will go earlier in the day to try something new (I eat with my eyes and kinda want to see what the poke looks like before committing). I think they have a surcharge for using a credit card, but so many places are doing that now anyways. I'll be back. The poke is good and I like that they separate the rice and fish haha.
google avatar

Toma C.

Yelp
The spicy aki was really good but I didn't like just the shoyu jest onions it was missing any taste once you had the spicy one. We tasted 4 of them and found the non spicy ones to be bland. There were lines out the door and parking is limited.
google avatar

Sade P.

Yelp
The dynamite ahi is my #1 fave aside from the pau hana! Their poke bowls are generous and i feel that it's worth the price . Kbaybros has a variety of different flavor poke and that's what i enjoy the most .
google avatar

Alysha T.

Yelp
I've visited Oahu many times over the years and this is some of the BEST poke I've ever had. A friend recommended it and it fully lived up to the hype. Just like other reviewers say, it's big fish pieces that are very high quality. Melt in your mouth. I think I got the hawaiian style and the spicy ahi with unagi sauce added. The unagi sauce was a perfect addition. Never thought of that! This is pretty close to Kailua Beach, so for sure pick up some poke if you're heading that way. And service is very very friendly!
google avatar

Lu C.

Yelp
Love the poke there! My favorites are spicy avocado, kimchi tako, fresh salmon, and the ahi that has yuzu in it (forgot the name). Service was great and they even offer sampling! During our one week of stay in Kaneohe, I came here twice. Wish we have this quality and flavorful poke back in the mainland. Would definitely come back next year when visiting.

Yelp
Had amazing poke at a friends house and asked where it came from. She directed me to Kbaybros and I went 3 days later. Google maps took me to Windward Mall but its in a little strip mall where the old bakery was. I ordered ahi oyster sauce, kalakoa and garlic shrimp. All fresh and cold. Im not sure how theyre seasoned but I want to go back. Worth driving to the Windward side for and our mew favorite place!

Yelp
My other half and I shared a plate. We got the pau hana and spicy tuna. Pau haha was good. It was nice to have the crab salad incorporated. Something different. The spicy tuna was good too. Fresh. Only thing I'd say a con would be is the rice; was a bit hard. Other than that the poke we tried was good. I'd definitely come back to try other options.

Yelp
We stopped here to grab some poke because my husband was craving it. We walked in and I was surprised to see a lot of different poke I've never seen before. Some that were interesting was salmon and ahi opihi and rainbow. It's nice that one side of the counter had the previously frozen fish and the other side had the fresh fish so it was easy to see which was which. We ordered the Pau Hana Ahi and Flow (both previously frozen) and the rainbow (that was fresh). Service was quick and we were out of there in five mins. I only ended up trying the rainbow and it was really good! Fish was really fresh and the ponzu sauce they gave to go with it was perfect. I don't eat any spicy ahi so I didn't try the others but my husband said it was good. I'll definitely be going back. Next time I'll for sure try one of the opihi ones cause I love opihis.

Yelp
Tucked away in a shopping plaza right next to the mall. Went on a Thursday during lunch rush hour. Wait wasn't too long. There is a variety of poke for sale and you order at the counter. You are also able to sample any of the poke before choosing. I got the garlic tako and rainbow poke. Both were delicious. My personal fave was the tako. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. It is hard to find a place these days that can make tako tasty. Will definitely be back again for it!

Yelp
Literally some of the best poke of my life. Incredible poke!! So fresh and flavorful. I tried salmon and tuna poke. The texture was phenomenal. There was a line, but it moved quick. Service was great.

Yelp
My first time patronizing this establisment. They have a wide selection to choose from. Some of the quality poke ranges from $25 and up. Then you have some poke which is affortable that range from $15 - $20. They have enough help to serve you in a timely manner. They also have some assortment of goodies in the refrig such as sushi packs, creamy flavors of ice cream served in plastic containers and patry items. Located behind Zippys and across from Windward Mall.

Yelp
Poke was exceptionally fresh! This place is a top 5 on my list! I ordered the fresh poke rainbow fish with rice. Service was very friendly and I enjoyed the ambiance and clean establishment. Parking is crazy so park in the opposite parking lot and walk over. Thank you!

Yelp
Lots of variety in terms of types of poke and sauces. Fresh and tasty! Prices on non-fresh ahi were affordable. I appreciated that there were several types of frozen ahi to make it affordable. We got the spicy garlic edamame- it was yummy and LOTS of garlic with a good kick. Garlic tako was good, next time I'd skip the garlic sauce because it's really sweet and shoyu based and it overpowered the taco which was fresh and good texture. The ahi dynamite was yummy. It was frozen ahi and almost as good as the fresh ahi. Sauce was yummy- garlicky mayonnaise and masago. The fresh Hawaiian style ahi was yummy. The cuts had sinews so they were not top quality control for almost $30 a pound which was disappointing but other poke shops do it also (ahem, Off the HooK, Tamuras, etc). We got the tofu poke which was good but had the garlic sauce so I think I got too much of that sauce overall and never want to order it again lol. Also got the boiled peanuts and they were some of the best ones I've ever tried. Really juicy and flavorful! We ordered 1/2 pound of the fresh ahi and 1/2 pound of the ahi dynamite and the guy said he forgot to do the ahi dynamite so we asked for one and got it but then we realized after we paid and got to the park that he gave us two 1/2 pound fresh ahi containers (I guess he doubled up the fresh ahi instead of giving a second ahi dynamite). All of the above and a monster energy drink and 2 side scoops rice was $60. I thought it seemed expensive at the register so I should have looked in the bag but the price of everything is outrageous in HI so I guess I'm used to the sticker shock and don't question it anymore. It turns out it was because we got double order of fresh ahi for $30 that really inflated the price. Otherwise it's a pretty affordable spot and great quality. Service was friendly despite our ordering snafu. Convenient location, lots of parking. You order and take it to go. There's lots of beautiful parks nearby to enjoy a poke picnic. Just check your order before you go!!

Yelp
Ok, I'll bite! New Poke place in Kaneohe town getting super reviews and I'm there with my sidekick on a Sunday morning. Easy to find, behind Zippy's, turn at the light then first turn then into the parking lot. Busy place, fast moving and happy people working inside. Went for the crab Imari bombs but everything looked sooo good I got the spicy ahi Inari bombs too, some kimchee shrimp, some fresh ahi (oh yeah) and some spicy avocado ahi. So I got back home in Halawa at 10:00 and was met at the door by two very hungry guys who hadn't eaten breakfast. Wish I'd bought more cuz it was gone in a flash. Family loved it. There is a great selection of poke in the front case but don't forget to look behind you as you're standing there. The Inari bombs are in a big refrigerator case along with some specialty items like Opi and ice cream. And ice....huge bags of ice were going out the front carried on the shoulders of big guys.

Yelp
Contender for the best poke shop on Oahu. This is seriously good raw fish. 1. Fresh fish treated respectfully as local style poke. Fresh ahi with sweet onion, soy sauce, sesame oil and inamona (kukui nut); add limu and make it "Hawaiian". Throw in some opihi or make it out of hamachi. Any choice, simple, not overly salty, made in small batches so the flavor or texture of the fresh fish isn't altered from being "marinated". Great stuff! 2. Frozen fish (don't whine, not everyone can afford the current $28/lb market price of fresh), adds flavor enhancers such as furikake, mayo, and even dynamite sauce. No complaints. 3. Giant inari bombs - Well seasoned, gently sweet age surrounding a sweeter than most, not overly wet sushi rice, stuffed and topped with not excessively spicy ahi with a side of eel sauce. gut bursting flavor bombs that will definitely satisfy. $8.95/5? BARGAIN ALERT! 4. Lots of well made "sides". Pickled onions, garlic, ogo, seaweed salad, taegu, kimchee raw crab, dried aku and of course, ultra fresh sashimi trays for that personal snack. Clean shop with amazingly friendly service. As with most of these local gems in Kaneohe, a shop that would be perfectly at home on our Neighbor Islands delivering local flavors fast disappearing on Oahu. Winner.
