Awesome Armenian food!!!! Got the lule kebab and it was really good! I loved how the bread it came with had the meat drippings on it 🤤 The lady was really nice too!

I just took my parents to this place for lunch and we ordered three meals and one appetizer. We are so impressed by the quality and quantity of the food. Not to mention the reasonable prices and the good service. The food was Abosolutely delicious and all of us want to go back there again.

This place is rocks, always same good quality every time i visit them. If you’re kebab lover this is the place for you, they have probably the best kebab in whole southern ca, as i am turkish i have been many places where claimed they’re truly authentic not even close to this halebi. I think their best dish is Adana, very generous portions, pickles and rice on the house. Their rice pilaf is amazing, i cant even cook at home nearly taste with theirs. Ashta as a desert very satisfied with fresh fruits. Whole experience was awesome, i will keep continue to visit.

Nice little Lebanese restaurant. The lunch special is pretty decent for a fair price. Overall, it is a nice ambiance with a good service.

Outstanding! The baba ghanoush was the best I’ve ever had in my life (and I lived in Abu Dhabi for a while). The meats were amazing (ordered chicken thighs, chicken breasts, lamb kabobs, lule kabobs)!

I have been visiting this place for the past 8 years, and I must say it's the best kebab restaurant in LA! I absolutely love it, especially the eggplant kebab which happens to be my favorite. Great food and service. A bit too expensive for some individuals. Dishes range from $ 17 to $37 for most plates on the menu. It ends up to be abt $50 per person. Well worth it if you can afford it.

EDIT JANUARY 2025: My family has now been dining at this family owned restaurant for a decade now. I will jokingly say, the biggest negative of this restaurant is that it has officially ruined every other Mediterranean & middle eastern restaurant for us. We love it here THAT much. No matter how often we try other places (usually on a Monday, when they're closed), we always want to come back here. The prices have been rising steadily, as has everything around us unfortunately. But one thing that hasn't changed is how incredible their food is, how massive the portions are, what a bang for your buck you get, & how wonderful their service is. The owner & his mom are simply the best, always have a smile, & always so kind & know ahead of time what we want. We do a catering order/family style order quite often, either for holidays or celebrations, and the food is always a hit with EVERYONE. In the few VERY rare times over the past 10 years that some things were not up to their usual quality, they did everything they could to make things right! That speaks volumes at not only how amazing the food is, but how great the owners are. Their lunch special is phenomenal, especially for the price. Literally a few bucks more than what fast food restaurants are now charging for a "combo" meal, but here you get a home cooked gourmet feast. You can't go wrong with anything. Their tender beef filet & chicken thigh kabobs are our favorite. We like chicken breast as well, which is very delicious here, but love that this is one of the rare few restaurants that also offer chicken thigh, which is juicier and more flavorful than breast. Their buttery & fluffy rice pilaf is so "simple" yet is simply the best. Having it soak up the kabob juices or their amazing toum/garlic sauce is the best! Also love the pickles & turnips and other pickled veggies they serve as a free appetizer, along with onion slices. You can't go wrong with this restaurant. It's simple & straightforward. The portions are massive. The taste and flavors & quality of everything, especially their masterful kabobs, is exquisite. I hope Kebab Halebi stays open forever.

I was in the area on Friday for an appointment. My colleague said drive down to Sherman way there's a really good Mediterranean place. So sure ill try it and I'm so glad I did. I ordered the beef kabob lunch special that comes with two sides. Very very good quality beef. I was actually very surprised by the rice it wasn't what I expected. But extras were delicious the house salad so fresh. The veggies at the table as a free appetizer "loved them" I can tell lunch gets busy so get there with patience and time. Very intimate ambience and its in a busy shopping center with plenty of parking. Sylvia was lovely, Thank you for my extra ice. I will definitely recommend you all to my friends and family. I was referred by a friend to try kebab halebi as I was craving for some kebabs, chikufte, and boreg (my favorite). I wasn't able to eat at the location, but ordered take out. The food was amazing. I couldn't get enough of the boreg! Wish i ordered 2 orders! Can't wait to come back for more

I've been here several times with my family. Each and every time the food was delicious. Customer service has always been great. The restaurant isn't too big nor too small. The chicken, rice and hummus are my favorites here. Highly recommend if you love Middle Eastern food. :)

My foodie friends told mom and I to try this place because of their pickled veggies and rice. When we arrived, we were seated immediately. We shared the lamb with rice, chicken, fries, and boreg. Oh My God were my friends right. My mouth was so happy. The meat was just meat. Definitely delicious, but my heart belongs to the rice, fries, and boreg. That rice was so buttery. Wonderful comfort food. The boreg was the best I've ever had. They add peppers inside, so it's more than just a fried cheese. Wonderful! I'm not normally a shoestring fry person, but these were perfect. Not overly crispy, but not a soggy mess either. Our waitress was also so attentive and super passionate about the food. I want to come back.

The food here is some of the best! We had the chicken breast kebab, steak kebab, cheese plate and labneh. My husband and nephew both had the baklava and tea after our dinner. The chicken is always nice and juicy, their rice is some of the best I've ever had. Steak is cooked perfectly. The service is always spectacular. The location is clean, a little on the smaller side. The restrooms are always spotless. Which is huge for us.

We came to the shopping center to a different store and on our way back to the car and a lady with short black hair that came out of Kebab Halebi and asked if we were eating at the Latino food truck that's parked on the street...#1 we felt racially profiled. We said not, we were not. Then she told us that she was going to call the towing company so they can tow whomever eats there. Long story short, why would anybody want to eat at a place where clearly they make you feel uncomfortable. And if it r was for me, I wouldn't give no stars

Great food generous portions and good service. The food is so good here. We had a salad, chicken kebab and filet kebab. All were so good and came with heaps of rice. This place gets really busy at the weekend so don't go without a reservation.

This place used to be so good many years ago... just a few weeks ago, our family went for dinner, and the experience we had was terrible from the lack of service to the quality of food and way overpriced! Our waiter seemed very rude, distracted, and annoyed from the get-go. He looked miserable. Clearly, the food service industry is not the field he should be in. Maybe the post office or DMV would suit him better... Anyway he took our order and never came back. We finally got another girl to handle our table, and she too was forgetful and lacked qualities you look for in a waitress. It's evident the business isn't doing well as they have closed off the extension of the next door unit they used to have. The restaurant is located in a shopping center, the inside is dated not very appealing. The chicken kebab was burnt, the beef lule tasted like lamb was mixed into the beef, I wanted to vomit!! Filet kebab was tough to chew. I don't think it was filet..French fries were drenched with salt, and the rest of the appetizers were mediocre. We definitely won't be coming back. Sad that the owners seem to have lost interest in their own business and slacked on quality of food and staff. Waste of a 500+ bill on garbage food.

TLDR: Food is great. Bit pricey but maybe worth it. Really really like this place! Food is great and will give you the feeling that it was made with a lot of care. Flavors and seasoning are great. I have tried the chicken thigh and beef kababs, tabbouleh, falafel babaganoush and hummus and I think the babaganoush is particularly outstanding. The service was pretty standard, nothing particularly outstanding just your normal "as expected" good service. Staff is helpful and willing to answer questions. The do not sell the entrees as a side meaning if you want an extra kabab, they won't sell it to you individually, you would have to order a whole other plate. Think they need to reconsider this. I personally do not fully understand this. The ambiance gives local spot. Seems like many regulars are here from the way it vibes when you enter which is neither good or bad for me, it just what it is. The bathroom is clean and doesn't smell which is remarkable I suppose. Parking is a bit more difficult since they are in a strip mall that's maybe a bit smaller than most but that's not on them. It is what it is. At least its free.

A while back, I was at a car dealership and I met a Middle Eastern gentleman who was very entertaining. During our long conversation, he mentioned Kebab Halebi.... so I had to check it out. this is a Syrian Mediterranean restaurant. We got cucumber salad and hummus (house made) for appetizers and then ordered the Adana kebab. This dish comes with four kebabs, and has as described, a special blend of ground, beef and lamb, seasoned and mixed with chopped jalapeños and red peppers and flame broiled on a skewer served with onion, tomato, pita and rice pilaf. The hummus was nice and silky, melted in your mouth. The cucumber salad was also very well done the kebabs had nice presentation and color, but were overcooked and dry to the tongue. I saw no jalapeños or red peppers. Service was swift and friendly.

Love kebab halebi! The pickled veggies they give at the beginning are so good. Their rice is the best rice I've ever had. It is soooo buttery. Their meat options are good too, just wish they wouldn't overcook them. I like my meat rare but it always tends to come out medium or more :( Luckily it still tastes really good. My favorite is the ras nana-a patty of ground beef and lamb with a lemon juice sauce poured over it. It is very flavorful and juicy. And the ashta dessert is good too!

I've been eating at this place for over 20 years before they were even at this location . Food is always delicious. My favs: The steak fillet (super tender steak pieces) plate with THE BEST RICE and picked veggies. Or lamb chops, Or Kash Khash kabob plate And their desert is delicious Ashta is my favorite

My GF and I love mediterranean food and eat it weekly. We live right in L Balboa so when we were told to come here we were so happy to live only blocks away. their food is wonderfl. we had the kash-kash kebab which was tender and perfectly seasoned, on a bed of delish rice. we also had the jalik (spelling) and their signature salad all of which was delicious and the portions were excellent. Love seeing the family there cooking. The interior is nothing special, so what. the food was great. parking is tough because strip mall, but there was plenty of action the night we were there. Thank you for a wonderful meal. Cant wait to try other dishes.

Delicious food and great service. Highly recommended lunch special chicken or beef kebab all the sides are very good I loved the rosemary rice, babaganosh and stuffed grape leaves. Servers are very nice and friendly, this is my go to restaurant for almost a year and probably will remain one of my top chosen lunch places. Reasonably priced, thank you!

It's been a while since I have been here. The fattoush salad is the best. I can literally go back everyday to eat that. Overall the dishes are delicious with a few exceptions. Great customer service. Family friendly restaurant with great ambiance.

Chatting with my bff, I mentioned I was going to my Van Nuys office for the day and she insisted I go try this place for lunch. So knowing her good taste in food and my love for kebabs, I forced my coworkers to come with me. The restaurant is in a small shopping center with other small restaurants nearby. Parking is a nightmare during the lunch time hour so you may need to be patient and wait a little. Once inside, we were seated right away (party of 3). We looked through our menus and ordered lunch specials, which are smaller portions of the main menu. I skipped the rice and added a side of tabbouleh which was a huge portion. We also added a basket of fries for the table. Food came out pretty quick. The shish kebab was really good. Meat was tender and deliciously marinated. I had the beef lule kebab and I was surprised on how oily it was. It was good but seeing the oil in my plate did make me lose my appetite a little. Fries were crispy and delicious. The tabbouleh was missing a bit of that tangy taste most places add to it that I love. Hummus was good but our pita was hard and some of it stale. I should have asked for fresh pita but didn't see our waiter on time to ask. I made sure to leave space for dessert when I saw they had Ashta on the menu. It was super yummy. The fruit was so fresh I could have had two on my own! But I did not, I shared the one with my coworkers and ate most of it myself . All in all, it was a decent meal and I do plan on returning for more dessert and next time I'll order the chicken kebab or the beef shish kebab.

My first time here! Always open to trying new Middle Eastern food!!! My sis said it was delicious. Well, she was correct. We ordered several plates so they separated each item. Looked like we were having a catered affair! Generous portion of rice, pita bread, pickled cabbage, Persian cucumbers and radishes. The chicken and beef come with the garlic spread as well which is yummy. So good to dip your meat or pita bread with. I am not a fan of the pickled veggies but my family likes them. (It's an acquired taste) Pick up is easy once you order online. Plenty of parking in the lot. Prices are moderate and you can eat inside if you prefer to be served.

I stopped in for a quick lunch. They make their own falafel and it's delicious. They are super friendly and the place is clean. I recommend giving it a try.

Omg food excellent! You can feel an Explosion of flavors in your mouth!!! Big portions, everything tasty and fresh. The service is decent but nothing special! The ambiance is good and clean! Highly recommended

Another one of my favorite spots in the valley. Anytime we're in town to visit family we usually either come here for lunch or take out. Pretty much everything is good here but my go to is definitely the lamb and chicken. Super random but their fries I swear is one of the best I've ever had. Service is always excellent. After coming there a few times they really do treat you like family. Never had any issues with wait times. They've increased their dining room so now it's more spacious but on weekends it does get busy. Highly recommend :)

Love this place! The eggplant dip one of our favorite the pilaf rice taste amazing . The meat is cooked perfectly the seasoning is just right. Overall we love this place and come back to at every opportunity we have.

The food was delicious, I had one of the lunch specials. Chicken thigh kebabs, Rice Pilaf, Babaganoush, Roasted Tomato, Roasted Jalapeño, and hot Tea. Loved everything but warning, the jalapeño was five alarm hot! The Service was great and the lady was very nice. Even was thoughtful enough to bring our guest of honor some complimentary Balava. The ambiance was fine, we were there to celebrate a Teammates Birthday.

This place is consistently the best kebab in the greater Los Angeles area. It's a must try.

The food is amazing here. I recommend every dish they have. Their BBQ beef is amazing. The potatoes are delicious. The fatoush salad is one of my favorites.

Spectacular !!!! Words can't explain how bomb of a place this is 9/10 , only thing I don't like about them is the pickled vegetables , best chicken best beef salads are amazing staff is wonderful.

We had lunch today and enjoyed every bite. It is located in a small shopping center which was a pain to find a parking spot. Inside is traditional and nobody was there as expected since we picked a time too late for lunch and too early for dinner. They had an upbeat Arabic music playing and we kind of enjoyed it. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. She recommended Kash-Kash Kebab and Beef Shish. Both were Amazing! Appetizers were also very tasty. Our lunch turned into a feast. I highly recommend.

I ordered take out but I would love to dine in too someday. The ambiance was really nice, I liked the warm lighting it was really cozy. The food was out of this world. I got the chicken thigh kebab plate and it was incredible. Juicy, flavorful and so fresh. I also got a garden salad which was so fresh and crunchy. My boyfriend got the beef kebab wrap and the beef was just as good. Not dry at all. Tender and full of flavor. The jajik was delicious too, it was good with every bite. I can't wait to go back!

This review is for a delivery order I received from this restaurant -- I ordered the lule kebab, chicken thigh kebab, an extra order of rice, and ashta (one of my fave desserts of all time). I have to say I was very grateful for the generous portion size of all of the food. I even asked for extra garlic sauce and they gave me a generous portion of that condiment as well! My family loved all of the food, the chicken was was well-seasoned and the lule kebab was also tasty. The ashta was also delicious and the berries/fruit were nice and fresh. I will definitely order again from here.

The chicken, beef and lule is just different here. I don't know what their secret is but there's something weird happening in the kitchen because the meat is so juicy and flavorful. It's one of my favorite restaurants.

Discovered this place recently from a coworker. Really enjoyed the food so I brought my mom who also really enjoyed the food. The only drawback is that we were the only table so we were ignored the whole time. We just had our waitress come to our table and take our order and then later on bring our food. We didn't have anyone check on us or ask if we needed anything. I had to make my way to the servers twice to ask to order a side dish and for more water. Aside from the funky service, the food is amazing! Definitely worth trying! Only giving 4 stars due to the lack of service we encountered today.

Our family tried this restaurant based off reviews over the weekend and the food and experience overall was horrible, overpriced and customer service was lousy. We ordered a few items from the menu and the two dishes that were the worst out of all of the items that we had ordered was the Chikufte and Lule Kebabab, which both were garbage and waste of our money. I definitely would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Please do yourself a favor, save your money and go to another Middle Eastern Restaurant.

Amazing service and delicious food! It's a hidden gem in LA. We always order Adana kebap ( comes with rice. Rice is so fluffy and buttery :)) with tabule, babagannush, and humus and they taste consistently so good. Today we tasted their lamb shish kebap and it was so tender, perfectly seasoned, and delicious. We finished our meal with ashta. We felt bad since we never tried it before. It's so milky/cheesy custard served with honey/syrup, berries and pistachio. It's so refreshing, and still sweet desert that has to be tasted. It's our new favorite desert for sure. Thank you, Kebab Halebi for being so authentic and good all the time. That's the real kebab and authentic taste

The best Mediterranean food in Southern California, hands-down everything taste great you will not be disappointed

This place is truly a hidden gem. So much flavor and the menu is full of amazing items. I've had pretty much everything on the menu by now and they are so consistent. Great service too always sweet and professional. My to die for items is the Adana kebab and the fried cheese pastry (can remember what it's called) but it's an hot appetizer and it's so freaking good you'll eat the whole damn plate by yourself. I also love that they allow you to order appetizers either full portion or half. This way you can get a ton of mini appetizers and have a feast. :) love this option me and my husband always take advantage and order a ton of appetizers

Today, we had the pleasure of a Sunday dinner at Kebab Halebi, with some old friends, one of whom is Armenian. In a small mall just West of the Sherman Way/Sepulveda corner gas station, it is a bit challenging to find but very convenient to the San Diego Freeway. The restaurant was busier than we expected, both with couples and large family groups, many of whom are apparently after-church regulars. Nevertheless, the staff were all suitably attentive, helpful and friendly. The meal was quite extraordinary, truly excellent food and far more than we are accustomed to having for lunch because every dish was as good as the one before. At the end, we were all delighted and not overly full, with few leftovers to take home. We began with an assortment of dips - hummus, babaganoush, zippy mouhamara, stuffed grape leaves (the best I ever had), an Armenian chopped salad - and baskets of pita bread before our entrees - lamb chops, and an assortment of kebobs: lamb, chicken and beef, served with buttery rice, roasted vegetables, more pita bread and an exquisite garlic sauce that I have managed never to see in a lifetime of travel around the globe. For dessert, we had delicious, homemade baklava and coffee - a choice of "American" or Armenian (the rich Cuban/Greek/Turkish style). Our Armenian friend was happy to see so many options from her childhood, and I was simply thrilled at how tasty everything was. We shall certainly return. PS: They do not have a liquor license but allow you to bring your own wine. With or without wine, you should go there.
