Saturday July 12, 2025. Absolutely unacceptable experience. If I could give this zero stars I would. I came into Kelly Antique with three of my girlfriends to browse for something special for my wedding. Something to gift to myself that I could pass down one day. The moment we walked in, we were laughed at. No greeting, no warmth, just mockery from four older hags behind the desks. It was demeaning and honestly disgusting. We were prepared to buy antique earrings for my big day, but the way we were treated made it clear our presence wasn’t welcome. It felt biased, racist, and disrespectful. If this is how they treat potential customers, I can’t imagine how they treat others they deem “out of place.” These women have no business in customer service or working with the public. Save yourself the disrespect and spend your money where you’re treated like a human being. Maybe it was because we came in with rain tarps but everyone. Deserves common human decency.

Fantastic place. I bought my wife's wedding ring here as well as another antique ring for the following Christmas, and she receives compliments on both all the time. Great customer service from the ladies at the counter.

Don't go if you just want to browse. Had a lady follow us around, never speaking to us but quietly pushing us out of the store. When I asked about a piece I was intrested in, I get a full body eye scan and eyeroll before answering. Definitely not the normal NOLA hospitality we expected.

I asked about a pair of earrings and she automatically mentioned that everything is $3000 and up acting like I couldn’t afford it which I can afford and they could have made a sale if they didn’t have a stick up their rear. Then we were walking around and some people were following us and other patrons in the store thinking everybody was going to steal. Do not go here. They are very rude.

My wife ans I bought a beautiful bronze chandelier for our bedroom remodel. When we walked into the store we had no idea where to start. Their beautiful and varied inventory was almost overwhelming. One of the sales representatives, Roberta, immediately approached us and spent the next hour pleasantly guiding and making suggestions until we found the perfect fixture. Checking out was a breeze. Leila offered to hold our chandelier until our project was ready. When we contacted Ms Roberta shipping was fast and efficient. The chandelier was expertly packed in a custom wooden crate and delivered to our door by Mr. Randy Daigrepoint. The end to end service at Keils was beyond 5 stars. We will definitely patronize the shop in that future.

I have nothing but lovely things to say about this store and staff! They know their antiques and they have wonderful items to choose from. I’ll cherish the bracelet I purchased! Roberta was so helpful and they ship items out of state.

As stated in many of the other reviews, the employees are condescending and rude. I was asking about some jewelry pieces and the older women turned rude and continued to interrupt me during my questions asked. Absolutely would not recommend this place. Kind of odd how there are quite a bit of low reviews yet Google seems to score on the higher end.

I love Keil's! We visit every time we are in New Orleans. Donna has helped me pick out some beautiful pieces and even helped me find the perfect ring for my daughter's senior ring (instead of a class ring). The staff is so kind, knowledgeable and helpful. I always look forward to browsing their amazing selection. Go check them out. You will not be disappointed!

It is fitting that Keil's is on Royal street, each piece inside is fit for a Queen, or King. If you are after quality antiques to decorate your home with, I highly encourage you to stop in to Keil's. With 4 continuous generations in the business, these are the experts you want to speak with for all things antique. Situated on four levels, one dedicate to French décoré, another dedicated to English, you are sure to find the commode, semainier, chaise ou chandelier you have been searching for to complete you decorating style. Should furniture not be what you're after, don't worry, Keil's has a fabulous and I mean stunning collection of jewels! Emeralds, Rubies, Diamonds and Pearls. Cuffs, bracelets and chandelier earrings to add sparkle to your life. Gents, they even have the most beautiful cuff links I have ever seen. You need them, get 'em! Staff is extremely friendly and patient. My husband and I were allowed time to walk the floor without being hovered over but able to ask questions when curious about certain pieces. No pressure put on us to purchase right away. In fact, the owners are very experienced with shipping nationally and are familiar with other reputable antique businesses. Including one I frequent in California. If you've ever moved in the world of antiques, you definitely want to buy from a shop that knows other top antique owners in the nation! Keil's is definitely going to be my go-to when it comes time to decorate our home. They will definitely be my new favorite place decorate my fingers and ears too!! I love a good statement piece.

Our third time in New Orleans, our third time at Keils, our third time being assisted by Roberta. Another amazing purchase! We hadn't been there for years and yet she remembered and she knew what we would like. I can't say enough good things about how lucky Keils is to have such a talented, kind employee. We returned yet again because of the fabulous service and the beautiful antique jewelry.

Popped in on a rainy Thursday to look at some beautiful rings I saw on the window. Employees were rude, dismissive, and one associate immediately started following my boyfriend (who is black, I am white for full disclosure ) around the store while staring daggers at him. If you don't want customers, don't be open. Disgusting.

Cool spot for things like celebrity autographed posters and photos. Saw autographed photos by Tina Turner, Mariah Carey, Justin Timberlake, etc. Would make great gifts for super fans.

Like many of the antiques shops along Royal, Keil's caters to a higher-end crowd with some eye-poppingly expensive furniture. But it was deservedly so; they pick good quality stuff to put in their showroom, and I'm sure they're doing well for themselves. I had to make myself leave before a pocket watch might have decided to follow me home ... and the next time I'm in town I'll tempt myself again in here.

Amazing place. Followed another review about this place and Roberta Ramsdell. Went there for jewels and stayed for the furniture. Bought a piece and she arrange shipping. I will absolutely go back next time I am in town.

A wonderful find on Royal Street, where we had a terrific experience thanks to Roberta Ramsdell. Incredibly warm, down-to-earth, and gracious, she spent so much time with me and my daughter. In a place that could seem intimidating, she instead shared all of the beautiful treasures behind the jewelry counter with appreciation and enthusiasm. We highly recommend this store thanks to Roberta's grace, humor, and incredible customer service!

We went window shopping for antique engagement rings and found ours here! Roberta helped us try on a few. She even remembered an intial price inquiry email I'd sent her a couple months earlier. We live in Atlanta & she helped coordinate staggered payments and shipping. They also carry some more affordable new rings made in vintage styles. We actually only looked at jewelry, which is right by the front - so I can't really comment on the rest of the store, but the service we received was great & we are very happy with the purchase.
