Dark and classy bar with incredible cocktail menu and small plates. The book of cocktails is magnificent. It might appear overwhelming at first, but it's arranged by flavor profile rather than booze which helps narrow down your options. In addition to cocktails (ranging from $10 to $85 with the median probably being $16), they also have wine, beer, and cider as well as some fancy mocktails. The Lumberjack (Scratch Barrel-Finished gin, honey, aromatic & douglas fir bitters, douglas fir brandy, rosemary) was strong and wintery. Perfect for a cold night. I tried sips of the Salt Bay Bae (mezcal, Kuma turmeric liqueur, lime, agave, curry & ghost chili tinctures, bay leaf, curry salt rim) and the Black Walnut Manhattan (rye whiskey, Averna amaro, black walnut liqueur, aromatic bitters, cherry) which were both interesting, well balanced, and delicious. Food was alright but definitely less impressive. More snacky than meal, so don't come too hungry! We shared the quesadilla (tiniest I've every seen at $13), the pretzel board (more like a wee pretzel baguette for $10), deviled eggs (3 for $5), and two orders of the smoked potato dumplings (a laughably small serving for $14 but too good not to order another round). Service was friendly and knowledgeable. I will come back here for drinks any night of the week!
