Delicious Cafe with food for any time of the day. They have mimosas and brunch types of things. It's got seasonal food. Outdoor seating or indoor. There's also several locations around town. The breakfast tacos and chicken and pancakes were delicious. They are known for their pancakes here! Also try the Queso!

I love this place for breakfast. We arrived around 830am on Saturday and there was no wait. The staff are always friendly and the food is awesome! All I wanted this morning was a big ole plate of migas, with no sides, and the waitress was so great about figuring out how to get that for me, while not charging me much. This is the only restaurant where my husband drinks coffee, so I think that means it's pretty good. You can't go wrong here. A variety of "Benedict" options, good burgers, good salads, good breakfast.

Google
Waitress was attentive and the service was fast. I had the avocado toast with a side of bacon. Great flavors with thinly sliced cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and fresh avocado slices. The bacon was perfectly cooked with a crispy texture. I am very particular about my bacon too. Only one drying that I wasn’t pleased about was my egg. The bottom was cooked perfect, but the top was raw. Some of the whites were still clear and very slimy. Therefore I can’t give thee food above a 3 star review.

Google
Had a wonderful birthday brunch with my daughter. Margarita and Caramel latte were tasty. Chicken pesto sandwich was very good, as always. It’s my daughter’s favorite. And every single one of the Benedict options are soooo good!! So good we forgot to take pics…

I visited the place on a Sunday for brunch and it was buzzing! I ordered a Classic Queso, California Omelette, Lemon Poppy Seed Pancake, Citrus Ginger Radiance juice and a Cappuccino. The food was top notch and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the city.

First time today with my fam. Party of 8. They accommodated our seating. Customer service was above and beyond. Food and drinks were top tier. The flavors were great! We will be back!

1st time I came here it was alright, 2nd time I came here it was abhorrently bad food wise (I ordered the Green Chile Mac and Cheese), now the 3rd time I came here… 8AM on a weekday. Service was alright, felt nonexistent but not always a bad thing. Food was okay, biscuits and chicken didn’t have the pickled onions like usual but food was hot and ready which is a plus. Omelette I had was good! Ended up being about 40 after tip for 2 meals and 2 drinks. In my eyes, maybe just not worth the value all the time but it can hit the spot at times.

Comfortable feel walking, it's very spacious. The employees do not wear uniforms so the workers can only be distinguished by an small apron or a tablet in hand. The hostess did not offer us a high chair or kids menu for my 3 year old. We asked for sweet tea, and were told they had sweet tea. When the unsweet tea showed up, I asked the waitress again if they had sweet tea, to which she replied, "Yes." When asked for sweet tea a second time, she explained that they do not have sweet tea but they can add simple-syrup, or liquid sugar, to make it sweet. We ordered a French toast platter, kids breakfast platter, and salmon tacos. The eggs were very over done(we asked for scrambled), the sausage and bacon tasted like they were fake meat with a bad aftertaste. The salmon tacos had very minimal salmon and more carrots and avocado than could fit in the tortilla. The best thing was the queso, which tasted good and the small serving was larger than most restaurants offer as a large serving. Not recommended for home-grown conservatives or people who expect service when they are paying for it.

Yelp
We just stopped for brunch and we were served by Chelsea. She made sure we had everything and she was super nice! Honestly we were pretty hungry so I actually forgot to take a picture as soon as the food came out, but it was really good. We got the French Toast Platter and the Crispy Chicken Benedict. I was just not a fan of the scrambled eggs I got, but it's okay, the rest was pretty good! We also got the queso with chips and it was delicious! We first got seated inside but we thought the light was too dim so we asked if we could go outside on the patio and Chelsea was so nice and accommodating. Definitely recommend it!

Yelp
I went to the University of Texas in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Of course I went to Kerbey Lane on Kerbey Lane, but I went to the northwest location more often. I really enjoyed their queso and fajitas back in the day. Well, the northwest location isn't where it used to be. It looks like any restaurant in a shopping center in America. We had a wait a little bit to be seated. There was a strange smell in the room we were sat in. The waiter took a while before we got drink orders taken. The queso is still good. The chips are not greasy, and you will eat a lot of this. It's not the same, but it is similar. No fajitas. I had the French toast plate, which was good. My brother had the pancakes. They were good too. Other than the name, there was nothing to distinguish Kerbey Lane NW from any breakfast-oriented restaurant. Shame.

Yelp
I have fond memories of Kerbey Lane from my college days, so I was excited to see them pop up as an option for delivery. Prices have definitely gone up but the Lemon Poppy Paris Texas Platter and Cinnamon Swirl Latte I got were reasonably priced and their delivery time was decent as well. I did get a bit turned off by the aggressive upcharges they have - $2 extra for maple syrup seems like quite a lot. The food was packaged OK all in one container (the migas and lemon poppy french toast) with the regular syrup, verde sauce, and imitation butter spread separate. The quantity for the price wasn't incredibly impressive, but I felt it was adequate for a decent sized breakfast. The lemony goodness combined well with the savory toast and sweet syrup, and the "butter" spread was surprisingly close to the real thing. The migas was great as well - even being delivered, the chips had enough crunch and the verde sauce had a nice bite to it that I just couldn't get enough of. The latte, even iced and having sat for a bit, was wonderful too. I think one thing that Kerbey Lane really excels at is their recipes all have robust flavor profiles, so the taste doesn't get boring. I also appreciate that they offer not only non-dairy options, but both almond and oat milk to suite your preference.

Yelp
Outstanding pre-wedding dress shopping breakfast with the goils. The Kerbey Queso is my favorite thing to get there but the goils were not interested in queso the day we went. Thankfully, my server kindly allowed me to order a small side of Kerbey Queso for my home fries. God bless.

Yelp
We love this place. There food is excellent and the service is quite good too. The have by far the cheast good draft beer in town at $5 a pint and their hibiscus tea is pretty good too We got the queso, pesto sandwich and enchiladas and all of us were happy with our choices.

Yelp
Came here to try the vegan options, as we had enjoyed this place prior to turning vegan. The Credo Queso was amazing- I've never had a vegan queso that was this good! It was the exact right flavor and texture/consistency. I was overjoyed! The vegan breakfast platter was solid as well. Loved the pancakes! Server was nice and accommodating. Everyone working there was friendly. We will be back for the vegan options!

Yelp
Kerbey Lane was touted to my friend who went to school here and lived here that it was the place to go to for breakfast. I think that at some point it may have been but my experience here wasn't the best. We had a group of 6 with the majority of them having had experience here. I looked at the menu and saw the baked potato omelet and got the Hibiscus Mint ice tea as well. Just to be blunt, my omelet came out pretty cold. It's definitely hard to enjoy food when it's not at the temperature it's supposed to be. I may check out the original location but I'm not sure if I'll go back to this location.

Yelp
Kirby is an Austin staple that serves up mouthwatering breakfast at anytime. Not only do they have breakfast they have a wide variety of options including some of the best queso. I stopped in one morning while I was working on a project since they have WiFi. My water was nice and attentive and my food was yummy. The only concern is that the kitchen messed up my order twice! I don't say anything the second time because it took awhile for it to get remade and I was hungry. I also don't like to be that person. This place does get busy on the weekends so be sure and get inline which you can do from their yelp listing.

Yelp
I got the harvest omelette with a mocha, my boyfriend got the eggs, biscuit, and gravy with a cinnamon swirl latte. The food and drinks were tasty, our waitress and other staff are friendly, and luckily for it being fairly busier on a weekday, we could still converse. We will be back!

Yelp
Perfectly located to our hotel, and the original location was a "must do" for anyone visiting Austin many moons ago while I was studying at TxSt... The husband picked and said let's go! Recommend getting on a wait list as soon as possible, because there will always, always, always be a wait... Maybe it's nostalgia. Maybe it's just time or expected chnage. But it didn't live up to the hype I recall from my undergrad days. The food is good! No doubt there! Filling, hearty, flavorful, and we'll cooked. But not exponentially better than anywhere else with a similar menu. Service was super slow and was constantly blamed on how busy they were, like it was something unusual. I'm glad we went, but some things are better left to nostalgia. Hopefully that's just a me take!

Yelp
Had a four-star experience at kerby lane yesterday that I wanted to share! The chicken & pancakes were incredible!! Chicken was hot, fresh, and addicting. I substituted the pancakes it comes with for their seasonal pumpkin pancakes because it's november lol. Shoutout to our waiter who suggested I get the maple buffalo sauce on the side-- saved my life. It's spicy, savory, & not what I was going for with my pumpkin pancakes haha. Mocha coffee was also good. For some reason we were sitting in a room that was freezing. But overall more than I was expecting at kerby. Photo is of only half my plate due to me being starving lol. Thanks guys!!

Yelp
After nearly 5 years in North Austin, and driving by this location nearly every day, we finally made it in. All I can say is, what took me so long! For starters, who knew that Kerbey Lane would be such a good spot to grab a beer. They easily have one of the best price bars in town if you want to grab a beer or a cocktail with someone. $4 beers and $5 cocktails during happy hour! We came in for an early dinner and the place was still pretty sleepy. From the outsite, you would never know how big this place is until you walk in. We ordered the queso, a burger, and a pancake for dessert. The queso was easily the winner of the evening. Best of all, if you have left overs, they will gladly pack up a large bag of chips to make sure you aren't leaving empty handed. The burger was pretty good, but slightly over cooked. That being said, the sweet pancake topped it off!

Yelp
It was better 15 years ago before they moved. And it was still pretty good for a few years after that. There's still the same draw as it ever had, there's a good number of vegan and vegetarian options. Pancakes of the week/day/month. A solid selection of breakfast and dinner options. And a seasonal menu that's worth peeking at, and occasionally ordering from. The old hippie charm from yesteryear is long gone though. Replaced with that trendy minimalism that seems to be absorbing everything. The kind of people who saw the vast white void in the Matrix 25 years ago and said "This, but for everything." There's still some charm. But it strikes me as new boujie Austin whereas it used to be old, freakish Austin. Service is still okay to good. I've been around post pandemic and always during a rush. So a bit of this and that is to be expected. Busy as heck sunday mornings. They also have a full bar, and some interesting cocktails.
google avatar

Kim W.

Yelp
We came for breakfast and would gladly eat here again. We had drip coffee, the Kerbey sunrise mimosa, the vegan breakfast platter, and the lemon poppyseed Paris platter. Get the brown sugar swirl in the pancakes--so good! The patio area was really nice, and our server was great. They're dog friendly. The menu has icons for vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free dishes.

Yelp
Living in Austin for 24 years I know Kerby Lane and what to expect, busy place we know. A few good changes like getting on the wait list online before you arrive. Inside bar was full, occupied by several kids. I have kids... but they will never take a seat away from an adult wanting to sit at the bar. Kids at the bar is rude and should be against all restaurant policies. After 15 minutes I was greeted and asked for a coffee and a water with a spicy margarita. Water and coffee came however no cream, and rita arrived after my food was taken away. Food came, waited on silverware but the food was great, Kerby Combo with ginger bread pancakes was wonderful. The side I ordered arrived after I was done eating. The outside bar filled up yep with another family with kids. That's insane to me.... Manners and courtesy has left the building... Food A+, Service D-

Yelp
I got the chicken fried platter (recommended by the server) and it was delicious! I've been to Kerbey Lane a few times before but that was years ago. Glad to see I still love it! They have a lot of breakfast options and classic American food. The plates are aesthetically pleasing and if you can't finish the food, you can always take it to-go. Food is great, service is fantastic. I wouldn't want to sit at a booth next time because it made me feel short and my legs would keep hitting my friends'. I prefer sitting at the tables.
google avatar

Sudeshna B.

Yelp
The server was nice. She was prompt and the food arrived pretty quickly. The coffee was stale, the Greek chicken I ordered the chicken was chewy and cold. The people sitting next to our table was the loudest customers I have ever heard. Made the experience really bad.

Yelp
My husband, my sister, and I ate lunch at Kerbey Lane Northwest on Thursday. Our server, Matt, was outstanding! He was attentive, kind, and helpful. He gave my sister good advice on gluten-free choices on the menu. Matt deserves recognition, a raise, and large tips!

Yelp
Kerbey Lane used to one of Austin's shining gems and depending on the day, still is. We came in on a Sunday at 8p and knew that Kerbey would put up good food with a smile and we wouldn't be in an empty restaurant where they were closing up around us. The breakfast and dinner items were all awesome. What I wish was that this location was always as awesome as I know they could be. It's a bit hit and miss but in general Kerbey slaps. The breakfast foods are always on point and the lunch foods usually are too. The patio is awesome if you've got a friendly pupper and a great place to have a pitcher of mimosas for brunch.
google avatar

Yelp
fuck this place "You can sit outside, but there's bees" Coffee tastes like crap. Americano not much better. I was served frozen fruit and recommended a pancake that wasn't great. I'll never stop going to Kerbey or Magnolia but I'll be sure to skip this location next time I'm in town. Oh, plus the waitstaff were busy doing other things other than attending to customers. I waited a while to tell them the coffee sucked and then got the americano about the time I was done eating.

Yelp
Offering free parking in the lot outside. There's easy access to this wonderful café. We were pleasantly greeted and quickly seated. I noticed that issues with Yelp's were associated with wait times, so my recommendation is come here during off peak times in order to get right in! The restaurant is large with an outdoor patio that is dog friendly. There is a breakfast bar with a number of beers on tap so you can start at 5 o'clock anytime you want! The Restaurant is clean, open with a modern vibe. There's an extensive menu, offering breakfast, lunch and late day meal options. Our server was very pleasant although there was a solid 10 minute wait before someone came to our table. Once we had our order in our food was out very quickly, and it was very tasty. Again, our challenge was finding our server to refill drinks or provide a check. We were finally able to find our server chatting pleasantly in the hallway with other servers in order to get our bill and head on out. In summary, food was pretty good and I can understand why people get frustrated with wait times. Service training might help.

Yelp
Absolute fav place for a weekend brunch. Their pancakes and queso never disappoint. Tried their egg Benedict, different kinds of omelette, salmon tacos, pesto panini, coffees..... all goooood! Highly recommended :)

Yelp

Yelp
Kerbey Lane is a charming cafe with a cozy atmosphere and a diverse menu. The range of breakfast options is impressive, from fluffy pancakes to hearty omelets. Their friendly service and relaxed ambiance make it a great spot to enjoy a leisurely meal.
google avatar

Jaz A.

Yelp
Nice scenery, super chill atmosphere is their whole thing. There's indoor and outdoor seating that's covered. Decor is cute -- some can be purchased if anyone wants to get me a late bday gift. Booth table can be pushed forward if needed. That's good accessibility!! Server was really polite and helpful. I ordered, took selfies in the bathroom, had a very short phone call on the patio -- then my food was out ! Quick work. I so enjoyed the chilaquiles
google avatar

Megan U.

Yelp
Bjorn was an amazing! dazzled us with magic tricks and superb service! Will definitely be returning soon!!
google avatar

Michelle J.

Yelp
What in the world has happened to this restaurant. Terrible food. Ice cold omelette. Potatoes not cooked all the way. Fruit cup was two pieces of pineapple and an orange slice. Migas was just eggs and pico de gallo. Every ounce of food was cold. Omelette cheese inside was shredded and cold like straight out of the refrigerator. We will never ever be back. Whoever is running this restaurant needs to go see some other breakfast restaurants and see what they are doing right and how this restaurant can improve. It was such a bad meal. There are so many amazing breakfast places in town. You're not one of them.

Yelp
Sunday evening Texas Roadhouse was packed - KERBEY lane was quieter - service was great BEST lots of menu items 15 and under rated we than 25-35

Yelp
Just had one of the finest dining experiences of my life. Our server said he was just coming out of training but was a true pro. Ryan Stroble was knowledgeable, attentive and genuinely hilarious. 10/10 would recommend.... Gonna try to sneak a picture for reference lol (boom, got em)

Yelp
I've lived in Texas almost 5 years and never been to Kerbey Lane till now! I was missing out! I love that they serve drinks, even though the menu is limited I was still able to enjoy some bourbon and Coke! They said they have Mexican Coke although my Coke came in a regular cup & didn't taste like Mexican Coke. It was so good. They also have filtered water not tap which is always a plus for me. Had the eggs Benedict with fried chicken and a side pancake. Although it initially came out colder than I expected, I was given a warm plate shortly after and absolutely loved the dish. It is not aesthetically pleasing on camera, but it is so delicious in person, along with the pancake, which was very good on its own. My friend got the chilaquiles and liked them, but did not like her espresso martini. I really love that the booth tables move. It makes it accessible for people of all bodies to comfortably sit enjoy their food which is essential! There was a pesky fly inside, but otherwise I had a great in person dining experience. I also ordered a pulled pork avocado, and cheese panini & sweet potato fries to go off their summer menu. I ate a few hours later for dinner, and it was even better than the food I had in person! Definitely recommend

Yelp
DONT GO HERE Here we are again I actually can't believe I tried this place again, and gave it one more chance eight months later hoping to see a change. I literally ordered two pancakes AND PLEASE EXTRA MAPLE syrup, I said I'd even pay. Litterally 2 things man. And of course they give me one small thing of maple LMAOOO YOU CHEAP MFERS. Now I'm going to H-E-B before they close to get maple syrup They told me it would take 10 to 15 minutes so I waited 15 minutes and got a text saying it was ready. I walk inside and wasn't greeted by the bartender, instead he was telling his only customer about how he asked for a raise once and Kirby said no hilarious that he wants a raise. no one helped me for five minutes as I stood in the middle of the restaurant looking for my food. Finally another server comes up to me and asked me what I'm waiting on and then tells me that it should be ready soon Then wait 5 to 10 more minutes with no one helping me keep in mind the text message has been 15 minutes now that my food has been "ready". Tell the guy about the text message, and he easily brings out the food. This place is laughable

Yelp
FANTASTIC vegan and allergy friendly breakfast spot. The vegan queso was some of the best I have ever had. Pancakes, tofu scramble, vegan sausage, all fantastic. One of our party has an unusual food allergy - the manager came out and explained their allergy protocol, made sure everything was up to our standard, and checked in on us after to make sure we were doing well. I cannot recommend them enough.

Yelp
Would like to give this place a better review but The kitchen staff needs more attention to detail. Wait staff if courteous and attentive but twice I have been here I had to send food back. First time, wife ordered vegan pancakes and they were charred and mangled by the cook who probably used a dirty spatula when cooking them. Second time my nephew and I were served raw sausage. The rest of the food is just ok and price is decent but the cooks should get more training or put more focus into the quality of the food they are serving. Both times my servers were great, even other servers who weren't assigned to my table always great customer service. The dining area is nice with art and plenty of seating. Giving three stars all to the front of house.
google avatar

Yelp
The line made sense, that's all I can say. We got there on a Sunday around one (probably peak time for them), and it was a guaranteed 30 minute wait. When we were seated they had a lady making balloon animals going around which made he while atmosphere a lot more cheerful. But the MVP was the food. It can speak for itself. It was delicious, it was filling, it makes me want more.

Alexandra M.

Yelp
I ordered the special pancake which was peanut butter banana Nutella. The pancake had no banana or banana flavor at all. Disappointing it was merely a vanilla pancake with chocolate drizzled on top.I cut it up to see if there was any banana or anything since it tasted plain and no. What a waste.

Yelp
I moved to Austin last year and this guy I met in OKC told me to check this place out for breakfast. Well it's been 1 and a half years and I finally made it. I didn't have any reservations but they took my name down. I waited about 10 minutes before I was seated. The staff is young but they were all nice to me anyway. I ordered a Blueberry Collins and water to drink. Both were cold. The Blueberry Collins was sweet and fruity. I enjoyed the drink. I also have been craving chili which they didn't have however the busser suggested I try the Chicken Tortilla Soup. It was spicy but very delicious and had a similar taste to chili. I was happy. For my main course I had the Turkey/bacon avocado club. Again the sandwich was really good. I know I didn't have breakfast as the guy in OKC had suggested and that's there for me to try on my next visit. The place is clean including the bathroom. There is plenty of parking too. Just call up in advance to make reservations. If you are wanting Cafe food be sure to stop by Kerby Lanes and give it a try. Thank you Kerby Lanes for being in Austin and providing just another opportunity to dine...casually!
google avatar

Yelp
You're always guaranteed to leave Kerbey Lane full and to be honest, I think the biggest reasons we go back are for the occasional nostalgia or when we have friends visiting and want to show them an Austin staple, which Kerbey Lane is. That said, it's always a good meal, not great and the company is always more memorable than the food - but I have also never had a bad meal here so, I go back when I have guests from out of town or on a random morning when I can't decide what I want for breakfast. On this visit, we had a friend visiting so we took him there. I had the Kerbey Lane breakfast with a cup of Hot Chocolate, it was good, my friend had a Benedict with home fries, he wasn't too impressed but definitely cleared his plate lol. And my other friend had some cinnamon toasts. Our server was pleasant and came to check on us a few times. If you've never been, I recommend checking it out at least once.

Yelp
Had a really great breakfast experience at Kerbey Lane Cafe. Our server's name was Blessing, and yes, I have to make the joke, you will be #blessed if you get seated in her section. She was amazing. Knowledgeable, attentive, and fast. Everything you could want. My husband and I are vegan and I was so happy when I saw they had vegan options on the breakfast menu, including pancakes, which is a rarity and was much appreciated! The pancakes were delicious as was the rest. Blessing told us, without is having to confirm, that the "butter" provided with our breakfasts was vegan. They have both oat and soy milk for coffee. If we go back to Austin (we live in Southern California), we'll definitely be having breakfast here again! Thank you Blessing!!

Yelp
Wasn't the bear but wasn't the worst. Plain nothing special about the food but that's okay. They seem short staffed. Took awhile to get someone to our table but when they finally came, it was great service. Very clean and the energy felt good. Oh the eggs... the eggs were NOT burnt but tasted like it. So maybe the pan was not cleaned well or the burner on too high? Not sure but it wasn't the end of the world. Just didn't eat those.

Yelp
Please keep the broccolini sandwich on the menu. Sooooo good! Also, Frankie, our waiter was cheerful and efficient. Excellent experience all around.

Yelp
The vegan was amazing!!! Kerbey Lane has the best vegan pancakes and potatoes. Wish they would sell their pancake mix. The best part is the service. Great food, great service what else can one ask for!!

Yelp
Food good but always a classic and a favorite Menu simple but lots of good choices. Plus they let you substitute

Yelp
First time here at this location and it was a great experience. Besides the long wait time which is a good sign in my opinion everything was great including service, food and ambiance. Ordered Sunday breakfast which included omelette harvest with sides of toast and potatoes. Also ordered 1 blue berry pancake which was the best thing out of all. Will have to come back and try some brunch or lunch steers next.

Yelp
Kerby Lane is my Austin go-to breakfast place. They consistently have fluffy pancakes. Their French toast is tasty, whether it's the regular bread or a seasonal bread offering. Their oatmeal is beyond compare--I always ask for extra brown sugar. There are many options for creating breakfast tacos--whatever you choose will not disappoint. The only dish I have been unhappy with has been biscuits and gravy: not enough gravy to help soften the biscuits. That said, the gravy present was terrific. Also, you have to try the mint hibiscus tea. Gorgeous red color, faint mint taste. Prepare yourself to ask for refills! Service is typically solid.

Yelp
Exceptional pancakes! The staff is consistently friendly and attentive. Our recent move to nearby apartments means we can now easily indulge in their delectable pancakes. Hope they continue to offer great service.
