My family and I recently visited Key West Florida during our cruise. While visiting Key West we stopped at Kermit's Key Lime Pie Shop located at 200 Elizabeth Street. My family and I were greeted by friendly staff who were eager to tell us about all the products they offer. Of course Kermits is known for their key lime pie that you can purchase a whole pie or a piece but they also have ice cream, key lime pie ice cream pops, mini cookies (in many flavors), huge cookies, flavored nuts, taffy, jelly beans, and other sweet treats for you to purchase. To my surprise they had a cookie bar where anyone could sample their mini cookies for free and we were also able to try some of their flavor nuts and jelly beans with no purchase necessary. My family and I enjoyed the key lime flavor cookies; they also offer birthday cake, the classic chocolate chip cookie, and so many unique flavors. During my visit I did not see a bathroom, but they might have one in the store. In addition, Kermits was spotless with no seeable dirt on the ground, even near the sampling stations. Due to the popularity of the store, Kermits may get crowded at times-no worries-they have an outside sitting area with a covering that customers can enjoy their sweet treats they purchase. Parking is limited in the back of the shop, but there are meteor parking spots if one is choosing to drive. If you are in the area, I would recommend walking to save time with the hassle of finding a parking spot. If you are in the Key West Florida area, I recommend stopping by Kermit's Key Lime Pie Shop. The next time I am in Key West I will be stopping by Kermit's Key Lime Pie Shop and purchasing some of their delicious sweet treats.
