Harry Redknapp reads a menu by holding it high, leaning back, and squinting. Harry Redknapp rubs his hands together when food is put in front of him. Harry Redknapp is the essence of a grandad. Harry Redknapp is the kind of guy who would go to Kerridge’s, a hotel restaurant near Embankment. He’s the kind of guy would spend big money on beautified British classics: fish and chips, pie, chocolate pud. Why? This huge, slightly broody restaurant near Embankment has oxblood leather booths, a statue of a gold suit in the middle of the dining room, is part of the Corinthia Hotel, and is definitely deserving of your new haircut. If you’re going all out, get the sharing lobster thermidor omelette that’s a casual £120. "Search our Instagram long enough and you will find a frankly NSFW video of a very juicy pie from Kerridge’s. Sod it, here it is. This little pig cheek’s grenade is a juicy number and though it leans on the pricey side, the clotted cream mash with black pudding, and the jug of devilled sauce, make it a pie worth trying if you’re feeling flush (and it's on the menu)." - jake missing

Prawn scotch egg comes rich with lobster satay sauce, each triple-cooked chip is something to savour and apple tart tatin is hard to share.
