Kettlemans Bagel

I love Bagels and Bagel Sandwiches, there are some great places out there and when in Montreal, you should have some bagels. This is the first time I've come to Kettlemen's Bagel in Montreal and the place is very nice and bright. I had the Kettleman's Special and the smoked meat and cheese bagel. The sandwiches were good but definitely not worth the price and the wait time. Took very very long time for the order to come in and there were only 2 people before me. Also, the price for the size of the meal is not worth it. There are much better bagel places around Montreal.

Not the best bagel spot, but a convenient choice next to Centre Bell. I tried the salmon bagel—decent, but not impressive. It had too much cream cheese and olives, which didn’t really complement the flavors

So we ducked in here for a quick bite after the Habs game. It's perfectly situated ourside of the arena and exactly what we needed at the time. I was happy to try their IPA which was pretty good. The bagels were made fresh and the smoked meat was tasty

I have very mixed feelings about my experience ; we first went and asked for 2 Konscious sandwiches, which is labeled as vegan, and a vegan blueberry cream cheese bagel. I asked the employee which bagel they were using for those. He told me all bagels have eggs… I was confused because the Konscious sandwich is labeled as vegan !!!!! He wasn’t knowledgeable and ended up asking his manager who was talking about the gf bagel. I looked online and it did say that the gf option was vegan… So we asked the Konscious sandwich and made sure to specify that we wanted the gf vegan bagel and vegan cream cheese. They weren’t understanding, they were asking us if we wanted the nondairy one. Anyways, we ordered and then left without checking our order (big mistake). We received 2 Konscious sandwiches without cream cheese and with REAL salmon !! and a 3rd Konscious sandwich with blueberry cream cheese ?!? We kept everything and went back later. The employees weren’t the same. We explained the issue and asked to speak to a manager. This time, the employee and the manager were very helpful, knowledgeable and kind. We ended up getting a refund and our order remade for free. They confirmed that the only vegan option is the gf bagel, the other ones either contain eggs or are cooked in honey water. So ! We were able to taste the sandwich, but I was disappointed in it. It is pretty tasteless in my opinion. And the bagels are very dry and sandy. I did like the cream cheese tho. But I won’t go back.

The kettleman's special and the smoked meat were both alright. The special could have used more capers and salmon, it felt like a lot of cream cheese. The smoked meat mustard was a little sweeter than I would like. Both could have been slightly saltier. I do appreciate the place being open late, the bagels were good, just could have been toasted longer.

Kettlemans Bagel is a delightful spot for bagel enthusiasts looking for fresh and delicious offerings. The store is clean and has a good atmosphere. The bagels are fresh, with several varieties to choose from. They also offer a selection of gourmet items, either to buy separately, or add to your bagel, such as artisanal cream cheeses and smoked salmon. They also have a few freshly made pastries. Their prices are good and acceptable However, my visit had a few downsides. When I inquired about a couple of sandwiches from the menu, I was disappointed to learn that some ingredients were unavailable. Additionally, I noticed a concerning issue: there were a few flies around the pastry section, occasionally landing on the pastries. This detracted from an otherwise good experience. Overall, while the food quality is commendable, attention to cleanliness in certain areas could be improved.

Our first Montreal bagel experience! Just as good as we hoped! The array of cream cheese choices was overwhelming!

Was an unpleasant experience, especially compared to any of the cafes nearby. I know it’s more of a chain so I had lower expectations but the service pretty low quality. The guys were all super stoned and seemed super confused with any questions I asked. I only ordered three bagels with cream cheese and it took a surprising long time even though we were the only ones there. Finally, they seem to have taken the smallest dollop of cream cheese and spread it thinly across each bagel. Every other bagel shop we went to in Montreal was fantastic though
