Restaurateur Micah Camden’s Newest Restaurant Is All About the French Dip - Eater Portland

"Kevin and Franky’s is a takeout and delivery-only shop built around Micah Camden's favorite sandwich, the French dip. It will feature four French dip sandwiches including beef, turkey, roast pork, and a vegetarian mushroom option. The venue will offer East Coast deli-inspired sides with a twist and aims to provide quick service similar to Chipotle. The restaurant will be located at 1122 SW Stark Street and will open on November 7, operating from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday." - Alex Frane

We've tried a few sandwich places now, and so far, Kevin and Frankys is the real winner. As my partner said, 10/10. Great sandwiches, awesome vegetarian option. The sandwich bread was great, the dipping soup was great. I think its impossible to step inside the restaurant and not start drooling immediately, it smells amazing. Friendly server with a very open "kitchen" where you can see them make the sandwiches. Highly recommend!

Was walking around the Pearl and came across this gem. There was no line, and the the service was very kind and swift. I ordered the garlic Parmesan fries and caprese sandwich, both were super good. The fries were cooked perfectly and seasoned excellently. The caprese was very fresh and had some flavorful aioli. The inside was extremely clean as well, and provided for a perfect sit down option-though my experience with takeout was great. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a simple but satisfying meal.

A newer sandwich spot in the heart of downtown. I believe they are only open from Wed - Sun with no dine in option. The great thing about this place is the limited menu. It makes ordering very easy. We ordered three of the dips - Porcini Prime Rib Dip, Roasted Turkey Dip, and Roasted Pork and Cheese Dip. Out of the three, my favorite was the Porcini Prime Rib Dip. The meat was very flavorful and just cooked perfectly. The au jus was also perfect. The sandwiches are more on the spendy side, but you definitely get what you pay for. It's a definite must try!

This sandwich shop really exceeded my expectations. I was craving a sandwich so I stopped in and got a turkey club. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. I was skeptical of the cranberry and aioli on the sandwich but I trusted the process and there was so much depth to the flavor of this sandwich. Staff was friendly as well. I would definitely order here again.

Today was the perfect day for a sandwich and my Google search lead me to this place, close enough to the River for me to walk to and get a sandwich. Although I’m not a fan of spending more the 10$ for a sandwich I understand that’s just the world and more importantly city that we live in. The Turkey Bacon Club was very tasty, tomato jam was good, even though I’m a fan of sliced tomatoes more. Sandwich was a good size and nicely filled with meat and veggies. My only knock for this sandwich is that it had way to much Mayo, and I wish I could use hindsight to ask for light Mayo. This much Mayo and the added tomato jam made for a slippery sandwich experience. The menu looked good enough to give K&F’s another try.

I really enjoyed Kevin & Frankys!! Parking and finding the spot was a bit tricky, but once there, everything was perfect. Was kindly greeted and welcomed by Steve. They were jammin' to The Beatles as I walked in... always a good sign ;) He shared with me that all the sandwiches are delicious and that they are continuing to play around with new flavors. I decided to go with the Turkey Club and was very happy with that choice. He took his time to make a delicious meal. The turkey paired well with the fresh bacon! The best part though was the cranberry jam and aioli!! Paired with a bag of Kettle chips... can't go wrong. Overall it was a great combo of flavors and kept you coming back for more. Looking forward to checking out their other sammies too!

We heard about this new sandwich shop through word of mouth and were super excited to give it a try! When we walked in we were greeted with big smiles and warmth, the man working behind the counter was so excited for our business. He gave us a walk-through of the menu and was happy to offer suggestions. We ended up settling on the prime rib and turkey sandwiches and they were both SO yummy! The sandwiches are loaded with tender and juicy meat, the bread was crispy and delicious, and the au jus was delicious. The icing on the cake was the cookie that came along with the lunch combo, which was incredible. Thank you so much for such great service, we can’t wait to come back to try the rest of the menu!!

Hands down, the best French Dip with au jus, I have ever eaten. I live in Idaho and I go to Portland maybe twice a year. I have had to stop in to Kevin & Franky’s every time since I first tried their food. Last time we went twice in a weekend trip. If you like French Dips, this is a must try. The service is friendly, food is incredible.
