Kevin’s Kitchen - Review - McCully - Oahu - The Infatuation

"Of the new crop of Hong Kong-style restaurants in Honolulu, Kevin’s Kitchen shines for its banquet options, including shredded chicken and jellyfish salad and roast goose (preorder these dishes 48 hours in advance). But while you’ll see multigenerational celebrations in the evenings here, you’ll also find construction workers and businesspeople fueling up on lunch plates of roast meats and salt-and-pepper tofu all throughout the day. The interior isn’t much—you might have to squeeze into a table facing the wall—but the service is excellent. Waiters are quick to change out your plates and will even offer to refrigerate a cake for your birthday party." - Martha Cheng

Kevin's Kitchen is my new favorite Chinese restaurant. My family and I celebrated the Autumn Festival there this past Monday. We were initially hesitant, fearing the quality and food would be just like every other Chinese restaurant in Hawaii. The atmosphere was consistent with a truly authentic experience: a lot of lively yelling and loud noise! The food came out fast and all at once, and the majority of the patrons were local Chinese families, not tourists—a good sign! But what truly set it apart was the food. We ordered a large variety of dishes, from the famous roast duck to the salt and pepper tofu, and honestly, we loved every single one. The beef brisket with bean curb was so good, we ordered it twice. Next time, we will order the lobster and try one of the sizzling platter dishes. (It smelled so good.) Ngl...We are already planning to schedule our next celebrations here. I would highly recommend Kevin's Kitchen to all my friends. You can find it easily next to Times Supermarket, Grace's Inn, and Epi-ya Bakery. There is plenty of parking—you can't miss it!

An amazing experience from start to finish. Our server was attentive and checked on our table frequently. The food came out quickly and tasted fresh. Be ready to feast because the portions are large! I would recommend bringing a jacket, because they put their AC on max. And parking was plentiful. My family and I will be returning soon to try their other items!

Kevin's Kitchen is the place to go if you want Cantonese BBQ roast duck, char siu, roast pork, etc. It also has roast goose, which must be ordered in advance. The goose was very tasty and moist but some parts of the skin were not as crispy as I would have liked, in fact almost chewy. The pan fried String beans were very good, soft yet with a nice crunch. Service was good, the servers kept checking on us and refilling our tea pot. And free parking is plentiful.

Many Chinese people come to pick up food for everyday dinners or for parties 🎉 Local group dining in more. Food is averaged good. Price is okay 👌 Don’t expect much service. Plenty parking space in the Times Market. Very convenient location!!

We had... Fish maw soup Honey roasted pork (Char Siu) Eggplant w/ pork Scallops w/ Broccoli Everything was fresh, tasty and at the perfect doneness. It's a bit of a hole in the wall Chinese place. So the decor and service was exactly what is to be expected. All in all, I will definitely come back with friends.

Great food, quick service. I always get their char siu and the roast pork is good quality too. Lots of parking and handicap accessible.

First time trying Kevin's (which has been open less than a month), even at 7:30 pm Monday they still have lots of customers. Not an exact copy of Hong Kong cuisine but good enough for this neighborhood. Dining room is small and very noisy when full. Lots of free parking in the Times lot.
