"Made at the lobby bar, “The View from 14” is an herb-infused blueberry vodka cocktail with Moscato, blue curacao, fresh lemon and lime juice, and gold pearl dust. The name of the $14 drink pays homage to a former Northern Virginia institution, The View Steakhouse, which was perched on the 14th and final floor. It is now an event space with sweeping views of the Potomac and D.C." - Tierney Plumb

The pool that is promised is closed. Plan on walking around blazing hot DC all day with NO pool to go into to relax and refresh yourself in. Don’t bother taking a cool, cleansing shower when you get back to your room—the range of water only goes from hot to boiling with no options in between (which makes it extra awful when trying to bathe kids). We asked for a room cleaning and towel change which was promised at 10 AM and when we returned to our room at 7:30 PM nothing was done. This hotel is a disgrace.

A dump that should be razed! Used to be such a nice hotel, thus the reason we stayed there again. Beautiful views of the Potomac and Georgetown, and that is the only nice part of this review. No bar or restaurant open, pool area closed, parking deck dirty, and lots more… Marriott should raze and rebuild… this hotel should not remain in the corporate chain!

Older and dated Marriott property that has definitely seen better days. Ridiculously expensive parking fee for on-site parking. I'd recommend parking a few blocks away on Wilson Blvd for a fraction of the cost. The air conditioning in the room I was provided could have been better. I felt it was not adequate to keep the room comfortable. I discovered that the iron was broken and I called down to the front desk for an iron. After waiting approximately 10 minutes I presented myself downstairs to the front desk staff. I told them that I needed an iron and they informed me they would send somebody up to my room. I waited another 15 minutes before presenting myself downstairs at the front desk for a second time. I then waited an additional 10 minutes before the staff was able to find an iron for me.

The hotel is kind of an odd mix of dated and updated - some parts of it have an updated style and amenities, and parts of it look worn or old. So far it's been a comfortable stay, though. The layout can be a little confusing and the route to a room circuitous, but the room itself is well-kept with typical Marriott amenities. The exercise room is well-maintained and better equipped than most. I was especially pleased to see a pull-up bar until I realized that it was too close to the ceiling to actually use properly. Overall, it's a good place to stay, especially given the extensive meeting facilities, but not the best.

Google
A clean, comfortable and very nice place. I like that it is in a good location. The only thing I did not like was that when we got to the hotel wanted to check-in the receptionists did not know how to open our reservation (which we have created it a week before our check-in day) they lasted about half an hour trying to find our room, until they could finally find it.

Google
Hotel was nice, rooms were alright, beds not great, pillows to soft. Pool was nice, hotel staff were very friendly. Went the restaurant inside the hotel called Connexion both nights i stayed there, the food was actually really good, probably the best hotel restaurant I've been to in a while, had a burger and fries the first night and Reuben sandwich the second night. Only negative was the parking, $25 a night was a little steep. Good location close to a Metro station.

My friends and I stayed here when we ran the Marine Corps marathon, and this place was the best. The concierge and front desk staff were welcoming and helpful, and they were incredibly supportive and encouraging of all the runners as we left for the marathon on race morning. When we came back, they cheered for us and were proud for us. It was a wonderful experience -- they made a difference to us all. I would absolutely stay there again, and recommend it to anyone. I should add that their location was perfect for the race - we walked to and from the race. Everything was perfect.

Google
Great for the price! The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the staff is very friendly. They allowed us to check in very early, which we really appreciated. A Lyft to the museums is only about $9. It is walking distance to Georgetown .Only reason why it doesn’t get five stars, is that the bathroom tub/shower could be upgraded. At least they should upgrade the shower curtain. I recommend this hotel. I will stay there when I travel to DC!

Yelp
Large scale renovation underway since July 2021. Plan is for two of the four buildings to be demolished replaced by 3 residential buildings and hopefully a new beautiful hotel. The Holiday Inn across the way has been imploded. Big changes for the area.

Yelp
Came here to see a play and was amazed at how they transformed a relatively nondescript ballroom into a really impressive set; a kitchen, complete with a sink that had actual running water. Nice! The ballroom where the production was held was a bit hard to find, as the signage in the building was not as clear as it could be. Things got especially tricky when it came to determining which elevators to take (Noooo, I did not mistakenly find myself on the staff elevator. Why do you ask?). Despite getting turned around a few times however, we made it to our seats in time. At the end of the show, there was a reception on the top floor. A wedding reception was just wrapping up in the ballroom on that floor, so our reception was located in the hallway areas outside of it. I think we actually got the better end of the deal, because the views of the city were simply stunning. The servers were wonderful and I was really pleased with how often they came around with trays of all kinds of delicious food; Grilled shrimp, chicken skewers, some kind of potato croquette. And they were very thorough in making sure that they got around to everybody, but without being pesky, aggressive or annoying. The bartender did a great job of managing the line, so the wait for a cocktail was never too long... which was especially good because he was the only one working the bar. The dessert table was the stuff that dreams are made of. There was a broad variety of little tartlets and cakes; varying fruit flavors and of course, good ol chocolate! I definitely set myself back a pound or two. Worth it!

Yelp
The hotel does have the corporate image, and it does have a great location -close to the bridge towards the city and close to Arlington's' busy area. The restaurant and services are good, and the staff is very nice. Rooms were clean and had a great bed. There were a few issues: the toilet was running when I checked in and I had to call for maintenance to fix it. I was hoping they'd move me to a new room, since I had just gotten there, but they didn't. The next couple days I was always stressed it was going to break again. The elevators are extremely slow and not "very smart". I'd need to go downstairs but i'd take me two stories up before heading down. Stops in every floor, and there are people that wait for so long that they end up using the service elevators... Other than that, the restaurant (Conexion) is good and the gift shop has also good things BUT if they are closed, you can't buy water there anymore and you have to order it to the room.

Yelp
I've stayed at this Marriott several times because I'm a Marriott guy (Titanium Level) but place gets a little worse each time. My single king bed room was small, and the decor is very dated and run-down looking. The hallways are also drab and showing lotsa wear. The air conditioner in my room was set at 60*, but the room never got cooler than the high 70s. They've ditched their old room service in favor of something they call "Fresh Bites", similar to what the JW Marriott downtown did. Short version: instead of a dinner on a plate, with a nice tray and cutlery, I got a paper bag with good-sounding food wrapped in a cheap plastic container. Save your money and use Grub Hub or Uber Eats instead of using their "room service". I might come back, but only if the location is REALLY convenient to where I need to be for business.

Yelp
You might have really messed up for us this past year. We have been coming here for 10 years. Never ever thought about booking a different hotel. Loved the key bridge and Gracie the front manager was awesome!! Don't ever let go of her. This year as we planned to book our stays here for all our Washington Football visits we found you were closed for renovations. Understand we have been coming for years since my cousin had his wedding 10 years ago and you did those renovations 10 years ago. We have had the joy of visiting other hotels all around DC and have enjoyed going to other places we are not a one hotel family anymore. Will look forward to coming back when you open. We will see what happens.

Yelp
The 3 star rating for the Key Bridge Marriott is broken down like this: +100000000 stars for the staff -999999997 stars for the hotel owners who clearly don't give a shit about investing in the property From the check-in staff at the front desk, to the housekeepers, to the events servers - without exception, they were extremely friendly, helpful, and exactly the kind of people you want to be working at the hotel. 100% they should all get raises. Unfortunately, all of these really wonderful people work at a hotel where the owner has clearly not spent a penny in years. For a Marriott, the condition is brutal. Chipped edges on tables, dirty carpets (not from poor housekeeping, but because it is so old), closet doors which don't close properly because the slider track is so worn... I could keep going, but you get the idea. I would never return for a stay here because the quality of the property is so subpar, and there are so many hotel options nearby.

Yelp
Look at these DISGUSTING beverage dispensers in the lobby. These are supposed to be an amenity??? They clearly have not been cleaned in forever. The staff and management need to take more pride in hospitality and do a better job cleaning things that people DRINK out of. About 100 people (I think) arrived at the same time. They expected everyone because it's like a conference. First they didn't have the rooms ready. Then the rooms were supposedly ready but the keys weren't. ?!?! We've been waiting over an hour and a half. On top of this, there is no one out here making hospitality a priority for us. No bottled water. No nothing. The people here are clearly not committed to excellent hospitality. You don't receive a giant party of people, not be ready with your dirty lobby beverage dispensers, and not give out some water or some apologies!!! Yes, I'm salty about the disgusting water.

Yelp
Overall, we had a great experience at the Key Bridge Marriott. We were given a room on the Concierge Floor with a view overlooking the city. You could see the Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial off in the distance, and the Key Bridge just below. It was beautiful. The room itself was nice - basic and clean, what we've come to expect from a Marriott. We had breakfast in the executive lounge which was a basic breakfast buffet, including scrambled eggs, sausage and fresh fruit. Evening fare in the lounge was disappointing - just some cookies and cheesecake sitting out. I wish they had more of a selection for their evening hours. Instead, we chose to eat at the hotel's lounge, Conexion. We shared a quesadilla and then I heard the burger. Both were excellent, and it had a fun nighttime vibe as we watched the Patriots game with other Boston fans. The hotel itself was located just a few blocks from the Rosslyn metro station and some great restaurants in Rosslyn, and an easy walk across the Key Bridge from Georgetown. It was an awesome location to explore the city from! The only negative part of our experience was our time at the pool. The lifeguard was MISERABLE. When we arrived the first night, there were no towels. When we inquired, we were told that he could not get towels because he couldn't leave the pool unattended. When we asked if we could use his phone to call the lobby for some towels, he said no, that's his job. Well then DO YOUR JOB! After 10 minutes in the hot tub, he told us he would need to close the hot tub in 15 minutes to put chemicals in. Ok, whatever. Well before we knew it, he walked over with two security guards, who he had called stating that we refused to get out of the pool! Umm not so much... we explained the situation and the security guards laughed. Meanwhile my friend and I, both Marriott Elite members, were horrified. The next night in the hot tub, we watched as the lifeguard walked outside and spent 15 minutes on his phone, while two young children were swimming inside. So much for not being able to leave the pool unattended! That lifeguard truly needs to go.

Yelp
I recently attended a work networking dinner at the Key Bridge Marriott and had a great time. The staff at Key Bridge Marriott served a delicious three course dinner for all of us attendees. The first course was a simple salad with grape tomatoes and crispy croutons. It was a good starter. This was served with a bread basket consisting of different rolls. The second course was the main course and it consisted with tasty Parmesan crusted chicken and rice pilaf. The Parmesan crusted chicken was a generous portion of perfectly crisp chicken. I loved th rice pilaf. It was so flavorful! The third course was dessert. Dessert was a pineapple upside down cake. The pineapple upside down cake was great with coffee. I wasn't expecting much when coming for dinner here but was pleasantly surprised. The food was great and so was the service. Coming for dinner here on my first night in Arlington made for a pretty good evening.

Yelp
Don't stay here!!! We are titanium elite members, meaning we stay at 75+ nights per year at Marriotts. I don't expect them to kiss my booty but I think they should treat their members kindly. First we asked to upgrade to a suite, as our (adult) son unexpectedly got the day off and he lives a couple of hours away and we wanted him to stay with us. No they couldn't accommodate that request. The rooms are VERY tiny here and can barely accommodate 2 people. Ok, we asked if we could switch to the nearby Georgetown Marriott, no because we "prepaid through the app." One of the benefits of membership is that they've allowed its to cancel/change/ modify reservations in the past. Ok , fine. We figured we'd stick it out. Fast forward to the morning at continental breakfast. It was ravaged! There were more children under 12 that I could count. The breakfast bar was destroyed. The waiter/ host had obviously enjoyed some recreational substances, incessantly touching his face, scratching his nose, tousling his hair, picking his back teeth with his whole hand in his mouth. Probably one of the grossest things I've ever seen. This is like a weird twilight zone Marriott that caters to a different clientele than we are used to. There's no concierge club on the weekends. So don't expect to escape the chaos of the children there! The only redeeming factor is the location.

MaKaels C.

Yelp
Nooot a good Marriott. Shower filled up right away and didn't drain well which was gross. Room just didn't feel super clean. We had a good view but the hallway was all secluded and awkward. Idk just really unsatisfied. Would have stayed a whole week and a half, but left as soon as we could after 2 days.

John T.

Yelp
Not my favorite Marriott. The hotel facade and the rooms are dated. You really don't get a great first impression from curb-side. The lobby is nice and the restaurants are better than average but overall I was disappointed - Not an horrible experience but disappointed. It is adjacent to the key bridge but you really can't tell. It seems removed from the whole sights and sounds of the fiver and Georgetown. I would look elsewhere if possible.

Lyndsay V.

Yelp
Quick and friendly check in process. Best part was they were able to get us in 3 hours before the official check in time. A+ Ate at the restaurant for lunch. I had a chicken quesadilla and fries and hubby a burger and fries. Delicious. Reasonable wait time. Room was clean, spacious enough and QUIET. It was clean but could've used some paint here and there. Not the end of the world. Parking was available in the front lot- several open places. They do charge $25/night for parking.

Yelp
This Marriot used to be decent several, SEVERAL years ago. Regrettably, it's fallen far from grace and I can't believe Marriot even still retains it as one of their namesake properties. The Key Bridge is abysmal at best - quite dated and it really just appears as though this is a throw away property. The regional manager needs to pay this place a visit like yester-year. An issue right off the bat is the fact that the temperature control is not correct. There's easily a 5 degree discrepancy between if you set your room at 70 or 75 (75 feels closer to 69/70). I haven't stayed in this Marriot in a while and now I'm reminded why, LOL. The drop ceilings in the bathroom has specks of mold and is pulling away from the cross sections in several areas. And my bf and I are supposedly in an "upgraded" room (he's Ambassador status). It's pretty tiny compared to even the regular Marriot rooms at other properties that we regularly stay in around the area. He's hit his head twice now in the bathroom due to the shower head being situated so low down. It just appears as though no pride is taken in this property. What really aggravated me and prompted this review is the difficulty with which I had getting in touch with tech support this morning. It took four calls to get me to the appropriate person. The person at the front desk routed me to an employee help line the first time around. So I called back and stipulated that I needed to speak with guest services for an Internet issue (my vpn requires an active client so I need a manual connect if there's a user prompted splash screen for a captive portal). It's not an issue the front desk can assist with but I was advised - in typical helpdesk script form - to turn my computer off and then on again. *cue aggravated sigh* The second time the front desk transferred me it was to the exact same service desk and the prompts are ENDLESS before you even reach an actual person. That service desk transferred me back to the front desk where someone finally contacted the correct department and then patched me through. Once on the phone I immediately offered that I needed a manual IP connect and not a MAC address connect as I spoof MAC address information on the hour. This would have caused a disconnect every hour, however it's a non-issue with an IP address connect. The tech still asked for my MAC address, lol. I reiterated my position and was connected via IP as requested. Took me over 20 minutes to get that accomplished, smh. I will say that the people were pleasant enough, but if they'd pay attention a little more to details it would be beneficial across the board. There are a million hotels in this immediate area. Just stay elsewhere. This Marriot is in desperate need of some attention.

Theresa C.

Yelp
When we checked in we were told that our room wasn't ready after waiting for over an hour they finally had a room. (Keep in mind we made reservations) Then the next morning they asked to see us, me and my husband at the front desk. They told us we had to move. We got very upset as we didn't even check in to our room until after midnight. We arrived around 10.pm. so I agree just to be nice because we were on a vacation with my kids... so we went from the 3rd floor to the 10th. After staying there for a few days they told us we had to move yet again. I got extremely upset and angry. They had to move us because our room need maintenance. But there was nothing wrong with the room. So we moved for the second time. Up to floor 14. Granted ,they did give us a bigger room with a beautiful view over looking the monument. But we could hear the planes flying over us all night. On top of all this they promised free breakfast for the rest of the week. After moving us the first time. I checked my bill in my room and they were changing us breakfast and wifi. So I went down and complained they removed the charges we only ate there 2. I will never stay here or any Merriott again. It was a damper on our vacation that we worked hard to save up and take our children. The staff lied when I asked to speak to a manager. Which my mother came right out and said to them that's a lie she use to work for Sheardan hotel for years and knows theres always a night time Manager. The housekeeping and restaurants we exceptional. The staff was warm and friendly. My mom loved some for the restaurant staff. She got to know them in the week, staying there.. My mom being a professional housekeeper all her life was very happy with the staff. They went above and beyond. That made me happy as my mom now works for Fitchburg State College where she is a housekeeper there. She tipped them for a job well done. Unfortunately Management was awful. So my next vacation I'll spend a little more on another hotel. :(

Yelp
It took my buddy and I many hours to drive back from Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada to the Washington DC area. By the time we got to the DC metro area, we were beat. Rather than deal with the hassle of going home and unpacking, we decided to crash at this Marriott location. Located in downtown, it is a nice hotel. The parking is at the rear of the building, and there was no problem finding a spot. The lobby is a short walk from there. The interior is nicely decorated. The staff is on point with service, and provided me with some toiletries that I forgot to pack or some that I ran out of. The check in was painless, and I had the pleasure of getting the most interesting room number ever: 666. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable. I was able to unwind after a long day of driving through the NY and PA countryside. The shampoo and conditioner the hotel provides had an interesting aroma, and the towels were soft. The shower head provided a good stream of water. The hotel has a gym that includes a pool. The pool is ground level, and the weight room is in the basement. There is a cardio room as well. The restaurant attached to the hotel provided a good breakfast. I got the buffet and filled up on eggs, potatoes, and fruit. I didn't like the beef hash too much. The meal was filling and carried me through the next several hours. Check out was quick, and I was on my way to that day's adventures. This place was great to stay in, and I would recommend it.

Yelp
I worked as a photographer for an event that took place at this hotel last week. I would like to make a formal complaint about the food served at Key Bridge Marriott's Capitol View Ballroom. Not only was I denied a meal during the time the other guests were eating dinner (which was in my contract with the clients) I was also served a burger to go (pictured here) at the end of the night, that was not fully cooked and fries that were previously de-thawed, which tasted like cardboard. I contacted the hotel via Facebook messenger and it took over 2 days for someone on the management team to get back to me with the following apology. It seems like they missed the part about the kind of treatment and overlooked the uncooked food I received. I am not a picky eater and am not the photographer who will "not eat sandwiches" because I "must eat what the guests eat". All I ask is that the food be COOKED so that we can avoid food poisoning. All the other Marriotts in the area serve chicken, mashed potatoes and a veggie to us vendors - which is fully cooked and served during the time guests are eating - so that we can fuel up before we continue our work. Meals have never been an issue. In my 9 years of shooting professionally, this was by far the worst meal ever served to me. I'm glad I realized it after a couple of bites and threw it out before it was too late. Treat your vendors with respect and dignity, especially if you want photos from them for marketing purposes. We are human too and cannot survive on Larabars for sustenance while shooting an evening event.

Yelp
(2 Stars) Lobby was very nice and customer service (Alex) was very friendly. The view of Georgetown University was beautiful from the roo- ***** 5 stars for that (No stars) Rooms were okay. Walls and furniture outdated. Need deep cleaning. You can see the head board with dirty finger prints, crumb looking debris in between lounge chair pillow creases, and thermostat was making so much noice. Parking was $25 a night, which is outrageously expensive. Overall location is great from places to eat and buy any necessities from target and Safeway. Customer service experience at front desk was great. Hotel rooms and walls need updating.

Kent D.

Yelp
Stayed here for work a trip. The hotel is located in a good location, just a walk across the bridge from Georgetown. My experience here was fairly decent. Nothing to bad; nothing too good. The hotel offered free parking for its guess, which was great. They also had a free breakfast and social for Marriott Reward members. However, they didn't offer a shuttle service or a room with a refrigerator, which is a must for a business trust. It's the little things that matter and can make a huge difference. So why such a low rating? Well a fellow co-worker of mine had one of the worse experiences that I ever saw at a hotel, where service is key. She booked a room like the rest of us. She had a confirmation number that was sent to her via email. When she tried to check in at approximately at 10:30p, she was told that her confirmation number was incorrect and that there was no rooms available. My co-worker presented the email that was sent and the front desk clerk still failed to honor it. After an hour and half of banter and back and forth, my co-worker obviously upset and frustrated by the whole situation asked to speak to a manager. The clerk said that she was the manager and threatened to have removed from the building by security. Finally after much pleading a room "mysteriously" opened up and my co-worker finally was able to get a room. By the way it was on the first flower and it was extremely loud due to all the foot traffic. The next morning we spoke the sales manager, and he managed to get the room changed, and eventually offered her free access to the aforementioned breakfast and social. I realize that these things happen, but her attitude and reaction was uncalled for, and it was disappointment because the hotel itself was fine.

Janeen H.

Yelp
The Hotel was nice. The lobby to me is a bit dated but very clean and the staff is friendly. Check in was easy and the concierge was very helpful at recommending restaurants and things to do in the area. Location wise it's absolutely perfect because you're close to Georgetown and also to the metro which will take you anywhere you need to go. The bathroom was not up to my standards and again dated. There were a few hairs and some dingy spots in the shower, although the vanity was nice and spacious. I was only staying for a few days so I could tolerate it but if I stayed longer I would have requested to have my room changed.

Lisa T.

Yelp
I stayed here on April 13th-15th, 2018. Checked in at around 4:30pm. We got the king city view room, in which the view was amazing. The room was spacious and clean, but there was a couple of things I was not pleased with. The biggest was the AC in our room not working. It was 88 degrees outside that weekend. We spent most of our Friday night out and about in DC so by the time we got back in it was already 2am. We woke up the next morning sweating because our AC was not working. Called the front desk and told them that it wasn't working and they said they will get right on it and have maintenance come up to fix it. I figured it would be fixed by the time we came back. so we went out to get food and what nots. Came back after dinner and it still was not fixed! So we called down to the front desk again, finally maintenance guy came up to fix it and asked why didn't I call sooner, smh. Uh we did! Also a minor thing, but still something that should be mentioned is their shower head sucks. Not enough water pressure coming out and it's really difficult to control the water temperature. There is no between, either you're getting very hot water or cold.

Samantha L.

Yelp
Because my friend's wedding ended late, I decided to book a room at Key Bridge Marriott. The hotel offered private lot and garage parking for $25/night. The room including the bathroom was non-smoking, air conditioned, tidy and clean. It had a king sized bed, smart TV with premium channels and Netflix, complimentary wifi, coffee maker, refrigerator, complimentary newspaper, iron and ironing board, and hair dryer. If you are attending an event in Georgetown or Arlington, I'd recommend staying here. The room rates are reasonable.

Odette E.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my stay at this Marriott. It is perfectly located in Rosslyn, VA. About 5-10 min walk to the Rosslyn Metro station and walking distance to Georgetown (just need to cross the bridge and you are there.) The room was in perfect condition - they are not huge - but perfect for me. I had a great view overlooking downtown. The staff upon checking and checkout were more than helpful and answered all my questions.

Thomas K.

Yelp
Nice hotel that is located next to some good restaurants and a quick trip over the bridge to D.C. It's a nice option over the downtown hotels. When we stayed there was a wedding and reception going on on the floor above us. It was a little loud but didn't get crazy. The room was spacious and comfortable. Everything is a short walk Uber or train ride away.

Yelp
Checking in - We walked up to the counter to check in and the lady behind the desk was very happy to be there and helpful checking us in. She acknowledged our gold status and she also acknowledged the special package we had, which came with breakfast and a bottle of champagne. She asked when we would like our champagne and we told her, but it seems that message never got to the staff who needed to bring it to the room, s we never got it. So, we advised them of this upon checking out and they gave it to us then. Room - Upon first entering the room, it was nice, but slightly small. The room also wasn't as clean as it could/should have been and the attention to detail in the way it has been maintained was pretty bad. There were paint that had dripped onto the tub water control (this should never be the case!), the toilet seat wasn't very well taken care of and the shower head was so loose it was hard to move to re-position the spray. The windows were horribly dirty and looking out of them, we had to look through the nasty window spots and dirt. Bed - The bed was very comfortable, with clean bedding. Lobby - Lobby area is basic and large enough to handle the large group of kids that must have been waiting for their flight, because it was later in the day and there were about 100 teens laying all over the floors, all over. It was nicely decorated. Concierge Lounge - This was on our floor, but we didn't partake as it wasn't open during our stay. But it appeared to be of decent size. Breakfast/Restaurant - Even though the property was very busy, we had a nice breakfast in their restaurant. It's nicely sized with stations spread out so that patrons could partake without having to wait much. The food was decent and the service was nice and very friendly. Overall - We have been to this property several times over the years and for the price (when it's very cheap) we can't complain much about it. But it is a Marriott and we would expect a little more from their properties. The location is nice, as it's right across the Key Bridge from Georgetown.

Yelp
Hotel rooms need to be renovated, but overall the hotel is find. Walking distance to Georgetown and the Rosslyn Metro station is a 5 minute walk. Concierge room was very small and not a space to hang out in. Stay here if you get a good room rate and you want to hang out in Georgetown.

Yelp
Good part: chic lobby, easy walk to Georgetown, nice enough rooms with killer view. Bad part: ballroom on 14th floor that might have loud parties that echo on the 9th floor at 10pm on a weekday night. Great part: phone attendant who offers a bunch of Marriott points, no questions asked, when you call to ask about the noise, and manager who provides a very nice apology note and gift for the inconvenience. I would have written this place off, but the fact that they took the time to provide a big fat "we're sorry, please come back" made a huge difference. If I'm working in this part of town again, I will stay here. Very easy access to the awesome Potomac river path! Runners' delight!

Yelp
The hotel is in a good location - it's fairly adjacent to Georgetown and a 5 minute walk to the Rosslyn Metro Station. That is pretty much it. Not really a great spot for business travelers. The wireless connectivity was really spotty and - over a 2-week stay - they failed to get Netflix to operate normally. Also, there is only 1 laundry and it is on the 1st floor. The staff is pretty pleasant but generally unhelpful with anything technical. The price tends to be lower than other Marriott properties, but that's probably because it's well past its shelf life. Despite having doormen and a concierge that give the appearance of being stylish, well, the place kind of sucks.

Yelp
We just enjoyed a wonderful family reunion weekend stay. The rooms were ample sized, clean, with modern furnishings. The decor was clearly updated and modern. Although the carpet in the hallways appeared dirty. That's why 4 stars instead of 5. What was extremely exceptional, were the employees. From the housekeepers, bell men, to the kitchen staff, pleasant at all times, smiling, kind and helpful. Hela (Restaurant) omelet maker extraordinaire was extremely wonderful, pleasant, and made the best omelets ever. Brittany Gudger: Checked and corrected our bill, and was absolutely the best. Professional and personal, truly a valuable asset to your organization. One of the most memorable motel visits I've ever experienced due to your wonderful team! I will visit again, and recommend highly to others.

Yelp
Came here for a wedding reception on the top floor and loved the view of the Potomac River, Georgetown, The Mall and NW DC! Very classy place for the receptions and probably one of the most pricey just because of the view and location. My only knock against them is the food was not good by any means, I mean it was bland and tasteless. How do you make a field salad taste like a field?

Yelp
25$ parking 12$ WiFi No free continental breakfast? Room was average. Something I'd expect out of a motel 6. Not worth the money.

Yelp
Great location, great value. We stayed for a hearing at the court of appeals and it was perfect. The rooms were very nicely furnished and cleaned. Staff was friendly. Will definitely stay there again.

Yelp
This Marriott is older, but I was traveling last minute for work and this was the best location for where I needed to be. Easy in/out of National, and about $15 cab fare. If the weather is good, the pedestrian bridge to Georgetown is very convenient. For the hotel itself, check in was quick. Room was small but standard Marriott setting. The store in the lobby is convenient if you don't want the buffet breakfast - they have yogurt, fruit, pastries and Starbucks (basic coffee only). Wifi worked well. Overall, fine for work travelers if staying less than 2 nights.

Yelp
The staff was pleasant and the space was as clean as any human could make it, but the halls smelled like cigarette smoke and the room I stayed in on the first floor was cold and a little damp. The view... see attached. The toilet didn't always flush and the handle felt like it may break off. In general, it was underwhelming and mediocre, including the $22 breakfast buffet. I was really surprised because Marriotts have always been a solid bet in the past, but in the future I'll do more research.

Yelp
A fine hotel, if you don't plan on spending time there other than to sleep. The bed was comfortable but other than that, the room was disgusting. Water marks all over the walls, mildew in the bathroom, and someone else's pantyhose in the corner of the room. When we sat at the bar there were bugs flying around which usually means taps are not clean.

Yelp
What do you get when take a hotel with an exterior facade from the 80's and add a completely renovated lobby with restaurant and bar, and guests who haven't done any research on the property? I'll tell you... Inflated expectations. We checked in at the great reception desk, said hi to some friends in the beautiful bar area, and made our way up to our room to get ready for dinner. We fully expected to walk into a nice new elevator and exit it to find renovated hallways, and even better, a newly renovated room. Unfortunately the renovations stop on the first floor. The rooms at the Key Bridge Marriott are A-OK, as my rating implies, and the service staff are friendly. The rooms have comfortable beds, small but efficient bathrooms, very large oversized desks for business travelers, ours had an extremely old and leaky iron, and an arm chair upholstered in that easy clean vinyl material (if it could only talk). Oh yeah, I almost forgot the LCD TV! My favorite part was the blackout shades that did an incredible job! Our room had a very large window that faced a park and the street. I never bothered to check if these windows were tinted on the outside, but I did get dressed every morning with the blinds wide open. My guess is all of Roslyn VA got a great show, and you know what, I'm ok with that! Honestly it's a comfortable property, but not luxurious, which for me is perfect! The best part of our stay was the AAA rate we got that included breakfast at the lobby restaurant for two, for $5/pp per night. If you're in the area and need a place to stay, go for it!

Yelp
This review is strictly based on a Fourth of July stay. For years I've heard that the Key Bridge Marriott was a great place to view the 4th fireworks display. So, this year my family decided to book over a month in advance. Initiate the flim-flammery. At this point we specifically asked about the Capitol View Ballroom availability. We were told that while they do typically have an event for guests of the hotel, they had yet to make arrangements. We were told to call back closer to the fourth. Two weeks later...no definitive plans. Call back the week of the fourth. One week from the fourth....still no answer. Two days before the Fourth...finally get an answer. There is a private party in the Capitol View Ballroom. At this point it's too late to make other arrangements, so we make the call to go with it. We plan to view the fireworks from the bridge. Fourth of July. Check in. And what did we see on the way to the room? Signs confirming there was indeed a private party on the roof. What Marriott failed to explain was that the private party was A WEDDING. [See my photos] So here's the con. There's no way this hotel didn't know about this wedding many many months in advance. And the lack of transparency is; and I shouldn't be surprised, shameful. Especially at $239/night. So, if you're reading this as part of research for a DC fireworks excursion, be forewarned. My recommendation? Make multiple reservations at DC hotels including, but not limited to the Key Bridge Marriott until you can confirm their arrangements for guests. You can easily cancel enough in advance to avoid the con. As a consolation, you can make the short walk to Key Bridge and watch from there. Not a bad view and the police close vehicular traffic just before the show. But if the weather is hot or there is a threat of rain, well...that's really the whole point of booking this hotel; for the use of the roof facilities. Assorted extras - $19 a day for in-and-out parking, but no elevator for the three levels if you have many bags or a disability. Free wifi with Marriott Rewards account. Free cookies post-fireworks in the lobby. If your room is over the pool and you plan to sleep earlier than 11 (i.e., those with kids and older adults), consider there may be noise. I'd also note that another family (from out of town no less) we met in the elevator were also disappointed/duped by this bait and switch. Wrap up - this ain't what it's billed to be and the various media outlets need to correct their "best places in DC to view the fireworks" recommendations until the Key Bridge Marriott gets this situation sorted out. Or plan get your wedding crasher grove on.

Yelp
The Key Bridge Marriott is unacceptably old, dark, dated and off-brand. I am aghast at the decor and general aesthetic. It resembles a 60 year old, outdated hotel, in rural India. Literally that bad. I cannot fathom the rationale for Marriott keeping this property in their portfolio, at any price point. Off-brand, and embarrassing.

Yelp
Badly in need of renovation, but otherwise nice place to stay with potential great views. Conveniently located, nice walkable area. Decent breakfast Lin the lounge.

Yelp
Bed bugs!!!! I stayed there in August 2018 and was covered in bed bug bites. Had to deal with numerous doctors visits since returning home. I called the hotel but they didn't take it seriously. Still trying to get them to acknowledge that I was bit and at least get a refund of Marriott points! It was completely disgusting.

Yelp
Closer to 2.5 stars and that is pretty much for the staff which was helpful throughout the stay. When looking into hotels in the immediate area, I saw the Holiday Inn and Hyatt which were actually closer to the Rosslyn train station than the Marriott, but further away from the Key Bridge. I saw the "Marriott" nameplate (not the Courtyard or sub-Marriott hotel) and decided to go with that. The hotel is about 3-4 blocks away from the Rosslyn train station and right near the Key Bridge (as the name indicates). The bridge is lovely and a short walk across takes you to Georgetown, which has lots to do, which also contributed to my 2.5 star rating. The lobby is lovely, along with the banquet halls and restaurants in the main lobby area. From what I gather, is that they focused the maintenance on the "public" areas. You will notice this as soon as you get to your floor. The hallways are old. The rooms, as you can see from my photos need some attention. The bed was comfy. Flat screen TV with ample amount of free channels. The internet was fairly fast as I had the "Fast" internet as I am a Marriott member. I cannot blame them for being across from a noisy ice machine, it is an ice machine after all and they make noise. I understand that some rooms have to be near them. Now the bad..the mini fridge in the room was loud. It make a loud and annoying buzzing sound which was aggravated every 15 minutes or so by a grunting sound?! I honestly could not sleep the first night and finally unplugged it during the night and plugged it back in in the morning. There were many other things that were simply unacceptable for a "Marriott" including an ancient phone, paint/surface-chipped tub, torn couch ripped curtains (see my photos). I don't think I would have minded all of this with a 1.5-2 star hotel, but a Marriott?! Though there were cabs available in front, there were no free shuttles to take you anywhere. I am not sure if this is a norm in the area. There is also a convenient-like store in the main lobby which sells candy Starbucks brewed coffee and some pastries. There is't much in the immediate area, but you can walk across the KEy Bridge to Georgetown where there are a lot of food options or stay on the Arlington side of the river and walk a few blocks in where there are a few eating options, and even a small Target. I would definitely recommend trying the Hyatt or even Holiday Inn, which may in fact be cheaper. As I mentioned before, the staff was friendly and very helpful throughout the entire stay, so kudos to them.

Yelp
This is a dirty hotel; there was hair in the shower, the sink knob was broken, and the lights flickered. You must pay for wifi in your room which never happens at hotels in 2018. DO NOT stay here if you want a quiet night of sleep, there's a lot of car and air traffic noise. Additionally, the conference area was hosting an event and the speakers might as well have been directly connected to my room based on how loud the noise was into the late hours of the night.

Yelp
This is a good hotel in a great location. I have to admit, when I first booked here I was a little worried, the pictures are not that great, everything appears dated, and the reviews are a mixed bag. However, every time I go to DC, the hotels are super packed and since I wanted a Marriott and I wanted to be close to Georgetown, this is what I got. The service is really outstanding. From check in to the concierge lounge, everybody was great. I was able to check in several hours early, and received a room with an amazing view of Georgetown. The concierge lounge was a bit cramped, but the food options were nice and plentiful. This hotel is just across the bridge to Georgetown and the walk over is quite nice (depending on the weather lol). There are tons of shops and restaurants there and it's so close, I literally walked over every day I was in DC. The closest metro station is the opposite direction, not far, but a little hike as it's up a hill and can be slightly cumbersome if you're going with suitcases or such in tow. My room itself was fairly clean, but could have been better. The paint appears to be new-ish. I believe they are updating some areas of the hotel but I didn't ask so I am not sure. The bathroom is cramped which is not my style, but it was a short trip so doable. The hotel is also close to the airport (DCA) and you can hear the planes, but this didn't bother me. Overall, the hotel was slightly above what I was expecting and that was a pleasant surprise. I would stay here again, mostly because I love Georgetown so much. :)

Yelp
Worst Marriott I've ever stayed in -- small rooms, peeling paint, broken elevators, noisy and ineffective air conditioning. Room service was delivered in a brown paper bag.

Yasuyo T.

Yelp
I stayed at the room on 9th floor and Georgetown view. It was very beautiful. The staffs were so friendly. Also we enjoyed indoor/outdoor swimming pool. There were lifeguards. They make sure that the pool is clean and safe. The other thing is location! location! location!. It is so close to Georgetown and Rosslyn. There are so many restaurants. I really enjoy with staying at this hotel.

Yelp
Disgrace to the Marriot chain. Botched tile work in bathroom, nasty drop ceiling, dated interior, weight room is crap.

Gayle G.

Yelp
Come here for the Sunday brunch and the view. The restaurant, JW's View , not only serves a huuge and glorious brunch, but also starts serving it early. I found this out when my dear father-in-law came to visit. He is not a brunch type of man, he needs to eat before noon. While stuffing yourself on eggs, fruit, and enjoy the champagne you can enjoy the view of Georgetown, the National Cathedral and some of the monuments.

Yelp
Finally, the Key Bridge Marriott will have free wifi by mid-May 2012 (see http://ballston.patch.com/articles/key-bridge-marriott-now-has-wi-fi)! Big kudos, and hopefully a sign of things to come for other members of the Marriott family. Pros: + allowed a very early check in (perhaps due to my Silver status) + good thermostat / responsive climate control + nice typical Marriott lobby + room service within 30 minutes + good water pressure and temperature Cons: - no fridge, even though requested - drab exterior - housekeeping carts left in halls overnight - housekeeping room door left open overnight - the AV-in box to connect devices is neat, but the TV remote doesn't allow control of the inputs, so useless - no TV guide feature, dim picture, and no ability to look up TV schedule as they use some form of satellite rather than a local cable provider - very TV slow responsiveness (3 seconds in between channel changes) - poor plug placement (had to iron in the bathroom because all were in use except those at desk, which I was using for my electronic devices ... ahd to walk coffee maker into bathroom for same reason) - beware of rooms with adjoining doors: you'll hear every whisper ... and so will your neighbors

Yelp
Great location just across the bridge to Georgetown. Friendly and helpful staff. Prices fluctuate so good to gauge it right so you get the best deal possible. I have stayed there a few times and paid anywhere from $140-250. Restaurant is extremely average. Rooms are comfortable, great beds and pillows. Pretty quiet too! Charges for parking as do most of hotels in the area.

Yelp
We booked a room here for my parents' 60th wedding anniversary as they had stayed at this same hotel on their honeymoon in 1959. The staff could not have been more accommodating. They upgraded them to a suite with a great room of the city and gave them a card signed by all the staff. Also, everyone they met greeted them and told them how excited they were to have them in the hotel. The room was very large and comfortable, though the bathroom was pretty small. Fixtures and furnishings could use some updating, and the card reader for the garage never did open when we swiped our room key, but otherwise, a very nice experience. Plus, it's a short walk over the Key Bridge to Georgetown. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was delicious. Service was outstanding and all of the food was good too.
