Miami’s Best New Desserts Of 2024 - Miami - The Infatuation

"You’re ordering this key lime pie for the same reason you take a picture with a baby alligator in the Everglades: to channel your inner Florida Man. This pie has the right amount of tartness thanks to freshly squeezed key lime juice. The graham cracker crust cuts like soft cheese. It’s the quintessential Florida dessert we crave at a quintessential Florida waterfront bar. Gramps Getaway can get slammed on the weekends. The nicer the weather is, the more crowded it’ll be. But most people don’t know that you can make reservations here. So book one and walk right past the poor souls waiting at the host stand." - virginia otazo, mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer

Google
Key Lime Pie Bakery in Key West is a great stop for anyone wanting to try the city’s signature dessert. The pies are creamy, tangy, and have that perfect balance of sweetness with the tart lime flavor. They also offer other treats and products to take home, making it a nice spot for both tasting and shopping. The atmosphere is casual, and the staff is friendly, which adds to the experience. Definitely worth a visit if you’re exploring Key West and want to enjoy an authentic slice of key lime pie.

Google
We ordered a key lime pie so everyone in our group could try it. The cashiers we're very nice to give us small plates, napkins, and forks. We sat in the store and ate our pie in a cool environment. Key Lime pie isn't for everyone. Its tart and rich and the "lime" comes through. Many of us enjoyed a slice and others tried a bite and that's all they could do. To each his own. This small bakery also has a small attached gift shop with many great options.

Lisa

Google
We had a very tiny piece of average Key Lime pie in a plastic container. Only one table. All take out pies. The owners were nice, but we've definitely had better key lime pie in many other places in Florida.

Jesi B.

Google
Super cute spot. You can see them baking their own key lime pies which is pretty cool. Their key lime pie is tart, seems more "lime-ee" than the others I tried so if you prefer tartness, this is your place. Their coconut key lime pie was soooo good! Recommend it.

Sara W.

Google
Is this the original? There's some debate. But! It is fantastic. I loved their coconut key lime pie. I will be craving it for years to come. The shop offers all kinds of key lime treats if pie isn’t your thing. I wish there was more seating, but hey, that's a really small complaint.

Google
I had high expectations for this iconic Key West spot, especially for my first Key Lime Pie experience. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The Key Lime Pie was nothing special—I was expecting something fresher and more vibrant. The Coconut Cream Pie was even more disappointing. It was mostly whipped cream, with only a sprinkle of coconut on top. Honestly, I could’ve found a similar slice at a grocery store for half the price. Overall, the food just didn’t deliver. I was hoping for something memorable, but it fell short.

Google
A must try Keys Lime Pie!!! 🥧 This version is delicious. The best I've tried so far. A balanced amount of sugar and the pleasant sour lime taste. Staff is nice and prices are average. The bakery sells many unthinkable products with Key Lime Pie flavor. 🤔 For the joy of tourists!!! Two tables and a couple of benches are the only options for those who want to enjoy tasting the pie seated on the spot hoping these aren't already busy. 🔝

Google
The key lime pie here was delicious! The setup was a small shop connected to a larger gift shop. The food items on the food stall shop side was 80% Key Lime themed. We got a slice of pie and a latte. They paired together very well, we got a small table, and our pie was brought out to us. A pleasant quick stop for pie that I would recommend in Key West!

Yelp
This is where you can try. Traditional style key lime pie! Traditional style is more custard in texture. Solid crust, tart (most tart key lime pie we tried on the island). Also a gift shop. You can get gifts to bring back home. Make sure you check where the key lime items or products are made on display. If it's important they were made in key west... you'll have to check.

Yelp
Key West runs on sun, salt air, and key lime pie -- and the Key Lime Pie Factory knows it. It's not trying to reinvent the wheel here; it's giving you exactly what you came for, fast, cold, and on a stick. Sure, Blonde Giraffe further north still holds the crown, but this place? This place hits like a cannonball into turquoise water. Get the chocolate-dipped key lime pie on a stick. Seriously. Don't argue, don't hesitate -- just order it. It's the perfect trifecta: tart key lime custard, creamy texture, and a dark chocolate shell that snaps like the opening of a fresh Hemingway novel. One bite and you're hooked. The service is always fast and genuinely friendly, the kind that reminds you you're in the islands now -- no stress, no rush, just easy smiles and pie nirvana in record time. You can be back on Duval Street in minutes, key lime bliss in hand, pretending you're living in a Jimmy Buffett song. Pro tip: If you're chasing the ultimate pilgrimage, make a detour to Blonde Giraffe up the road -- but the Key Lime Pie Factory wins the "eat-now-Instagram-later" game every single time. Welcome to Key West. Grab the stick. Take the bite. Live the story.

Yelp
We were on a quest for the best key lime and this was our first stop. Their key lime pales in comparison to Kermit's, but if you just wanna shove anything sweet in your mouth, go for it.
google avatar

Nina J.

Yelp
Just good, simple Key Lime pie. No frills or fanfare..just a cool pie/souvenir shop. They offer all things Key lime along with other knickknacks. The staff were very helpful and quite personable, not to mention, the star of the show..the Key lime pie was delicious!! I'd definitely recommend for a quick Key lime pie fix.
google avatar

Gary L.

Yelp
Great key lime pie!, neat little place with many items/ gifts available, friendly staff.
google avatar

Crystal W.

Yelp
Let me start by saying the person that helped us was the absolute sweetest. While looking for another Key Lim in spot we stumbled up this one and so glad we did. All pies are made fresh in-house and we're delicious. We chose traditional and it was the best. The consistency and flavor was spot on. Not only did they have great pie, the store was full of delicious key limenpie treats. Brought home some cookies and now I wish I had brought more. If you only try one place, skip the bigger shops and support this small business.
google avatar

Lisa B.

Yelp
Delicious! They claim this is where the first key lime pie was made, and literally everything in the store is made with key limes. You can even buy the juice with a recipe on it, to make it at home yourself. My friend is eating the chocolate covered version and isn't sharing, so it must be pretty darn good. Mine was gone before I blinked! It's a slice of rich, creamy piece of heaven.

Yelp
I enjoyed this hidden gem just a few blocks from the cruise port. The space is small, featuring a few two-person tables, a gift shop, and a selection of sweets. The key lime pie and coconut cream pie were incredibly satisfying--rich, flavorful, and delicious. Plus, the individual packaging makes them easy to take on the go (especially given the limited seating options). The prices are a bit high, but that's expected in a touristy area. However, the woman working there was very friendly and welcoming.

Em B.

Yelp
Pie is prepared somewhere else so don't let the name fool you. It's a tourist store with lots of key lime items. We did have the pie and got to sit in one of the only tables available. It was pouring down rain outside so it gave us a place to be. If you are stopping by for great pie, pass it by.
google avatar

Sobia K.

Yelp
The Bakery is cute with bright lemon lime colors. The reason for 4 stars the pie , it was so sour had really strong taste of lime extract. Others than that the Bakery is cute and I liked all the things they had inside for sale .

Ves S.

Yelp
Yes definitely go get a key lime pie from this place! Cheesecake was delicious too. We took ours to go

Sean A.

Yelp
Definitely a must stop place if you're visiting Key West. The original spot was cute inside with tons of Key lime items from cookies to Tea. The key lime pie it self was amazing ! 10/10
google avatar

Jay U.

Yelp
It's all about Key Lime! Though we have tried the Key Lime pie from Miami, someone suggested that this place sells the best Key Lime Pie in Key West! Boy! That's right. The best key lime pie! Creamy, soft crust and perfect citrus flavor! Along with the original Key lime pie, they serve a variety of key lime pies as well. We loved the coconut one! Cute little bakery. Always busy. But the service is great. They've got couple of tables outside. It's so lovely to sit, enjoy the pie on a sunny day!
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
Personal opinion, this is better than Kermit's! Had both, this one just tasted better. Got the coconut key lime pie at both (I'd eat either one and be fine), this one had a thicker crust and was more crunchy. Wish I took pictures but I ate it to fast
google avatar

Genie L.

Yelp
This was my fave key lime pie in Key West. Just the right amount of sweet. Wasn't too rich and heavy. The staff is nice. Tons of stuff to look at and buy in the shop.
google avatar

Ken F.

Yelp
Nice little shop, very well kept. Very friendly. Key lime cheesecake was excellent. Coconut cream pie was good, could've been a tad sweeter. We will return thank you
google avatar

Christa M.

Yelp
The best Key Lime Cheesecake exists here!!! This is such a cute little establishment with some yummy treats. There are a few tables set up inside and there are benches outside. The gift shop has a lot of cute souvenirs and prices are reasonable. The employee was also super friendly to us while we were there. Check this place out!
google avatar

Tina C.

Yelp
Customer service was great, the gift shop has something for everyone. The desserts are endless to try. The key lime pie was perfect! Most are extremely tart, this was perfect! The bread is AMAZING! I wanted to try and make a key lime Pie myself and I grabbed a bottle of the juice!
google avatar

Anthony K.

Yelp
Waited 21 years to taste this again. Nothing better the a frozen Key lime dipped in chocolate. Most likely the best in town.
google avatar

Marissa R.

Yelp
This is apparently "the original" Key Lime Pie shop, but it is very unassuming. There was one employee working here when I visited. Their website and Facebook page don't even mention that it is "the original" so I still am skeptical. The shop itself is quite cute. There are so many candies, sauces, books, clothing items, etc. dedicated to Key Lime Pie now... and you can buy plenty of these items in this store. I did have a slice and it was very tart! But you gotta try it...
google avatar

Codi B.

Yelp
If you're a tourist and love key lime pie; this is your place! Everything is key lime! Super cute shop, they offer coffee also. The key lime pie was delicious and the coconut key lime pie was just as delicious. The key lime taffy was a tasty surprise as well. The lady working here was so sweet. Again if you like key lime pie come here!
google avatar

Rori C.

Yelp
Besssst key lime pie. We tried a few and nothing beats this one! Come and try it, you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

M J.

Yelp
Yes!!! The original Keylime pie is delicious. Not too sweet - not too sour. just right !! must come here to have a piece!!! The inside is nothing to write home about just simple and the service was nice.
google avatar

Kristine Z.

Yelp
Our second favorite pie in the area! While it came frozen, it was quite refreshing this way and not too sweet. The mango key lime pie tasted strongly of real mango and not much like key lime. The extra tart key lime pie was the perfect sweetness and tartness!!! Would generally like some more crust though. There was tons of seating inside with ac - also a nice view to watch them make pies.

Don F.

Yelp
This Key Line Pie was nothing special and pie crust is not home made. I actually doubt the pie is home made. Save your $26 and get a Marie Calendars key lime pie. The Marie Calendars Key lime pie taste so much better. We walked yo this place and thought we were in for a treat but it basically sucked. Really if you see a good review it must be someone that doesn't know what a good key lime pie taste like. Maybe this is the original factory...... if so it's the building only. There is no way the pie they serve would ever get a place in the hearts of Floridians.
google avatar

Pat C.

Yelp
Delicious pie, as we expected! We did notice that a lot of the bagged key lime treats were not made in Florida. That was a little disappointing. (Hence, the 4 stars instead of 5)
google avatar

Joseph S.

Yelp
First stop on the great KLP quest 8/10 for great balance of tart and sweet Me personally wished Crist was thicker but understand it would take away from the pie flavor Also had the KL- coconut and also 8/10..a great flavor combo. I love coconut.

Yelp
Went to Key West for the first time and knew I had to get a Key lime pie. First of all the store/bakery was very nice and had good vibes. Second of all the Key lime pie was amazing at a 9.5/10 it had great flavor and was delicious. Overall the food, shop, and service was very good.

Priscilla G.

Yelp
Service was great! The key lime pie and chocolate dipped one that was frozen on a stick were excellent. Best place to get great key lime pie in Key West.

Jeremy W.

Yelp
Really good key lime pie. Must stop and try some. The staff were polite and helpful. ...............................
google avatar

Jenniffer M.

Yelp
What to do when in key west? Try their amazing key lime pie. The pie was amazing!! Definitely worth the $7-8 dollars a slice. In the store they have other souvenirs and snacks that one can buy. The service was very fast. The owner was very kind and helpful. We decided to sit in the shop to eat our key lime and it was really relaxing. Absolutely loved the shop and the experience.
google avatar

Bob T.

Yelp
This sad little place is 95% grocery/souvenir shop. There is a counter at the back where they keep a few pieces of pie and a couple of tiny tables where you can sit if you choose to try one. After a quick look around, our choice was to move on to the Key West Key Lime Pie Company. It's a few blocks walk, and we didn't regret that decision for a second.
google avatar

Brian B.

Yelp
Cute gift shop and delicious, authentic key lime pie. Tried a traditional slice and a chocolate dipped slice. Of all the checklist items when visiting key west, a slice of real key lime pie from this bakery should be at the top of the list. You can find it everywhere, but it is not all the same. Great, friendly staff also.
google avatar

Anne P.

Yelp
We love this place! We got the key lime and the coconut cream pie! Both were yummy! The cashier rang up only one slice of the coconut cream after I asked for two. I told her it's ok she didn't have to make the correction. While heading out the store she came after me and gave me another slice for free and said "Merry Christmas!" It was a really nice gesture and much appreciated! I highly recommend this place!

Dave E.

Yelp
There was several dishes I would choose from again. I highly recommend the chocolate covered pie.
google avatar

Kristine S.

Yelp
While in Key West, you must eat Key Lime pie! This place is the place to get a slice. My brother in law and sister in law went in to grab a few slices to-go. We took them back to our hotel room for a late night yummy dessert. The pie itself was tart and creamy, just as it should be. The crust was firm and delicious. The reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because there was whipped cream on the pie not merengue. Other than that, great dessert!

Yelp
Visited this bakery on 5/1/2025 after arriving via Virgin Voyages Cruise Ship. Walked around inside the store to look for souvenirs to take back home with me. I noticed the store had ice cream. My favorite flavor is mint chocolate chip. The lady asked me what I would like and I asked for a cup of mint chocolate chip ice cream. The ice cream in the container was green; however, what I was given was vanilla with chocolate. I tasted it and realized it wasn't mint chocolate chip. I brought the error to her attention and she asked me why did I eat it. I said "how would I know what I was eating if I hadn't taken a spoonful"? She had a very nasty tone with me and took back what she gave me and said "you asked for chocolate chip". I reminded her that I asked for mint chocolate chip. She said, "that is what I gave you". I said "it is not green". She said "Oh, that is chocolate chip". I said "that is not what I asked for and furthermore, you don't have chocolate chip ice cream in the store". She yelled at me and asked "what do you want?". I said "I want my money back because I don't like your attitude or your customer service". She said "you want you money back?" I said "yes". She gave me my money back and then realized her mistake and said "my bad". I said "you have a bad attitude and you are are very rude. You shouldn't talk to your customers in that tone". I was very disappointed with the customer service at the Key Lime Pie Bakery.

Ravi K.

Yelp
We decided to eat key lime pie at this place. It was super delicious. Service was quick.

Haskell M.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing pies and treats at a reasonable price. And Meika, the sweet lady who works the counter, only adds to the ambiance Highly recommended!
google avatar

Derrick G.

Yelp
This bakery serves amazing Keylime pie. They have a good selection of desserts, but the Keylime pie is is the primary dessert. The customer service is very good. if you enjoy Keylime pie or would like to try Keylime pie, this is a great option.
google avatar

Suzanne C.

Yelp
We decided we want to try out all the Keylime places in Key West. We enjoyed all of them! I believe this is the first place we went and ate ice cream. I think it was the best place of them all.
google avatar

Annie G.

Yelp
YUM! So fresh and tasty. Whipped cream was definitely homemade or at least not the gross fake stuff that you get at other places. Could really taste the key lime.
google avatar

Alejandra S.

Yelp
We just got out of there and the lady there was the rudest. We got multiple things including coffee. One of the people that got coffee took 2 mins to decide if he wanted sugar and she got mad... she took the whole pie we bought and put it on the shelf and threw the bag on top of it; it was a wrinkled bag that looked like she took it out of the trash. We asked if everything was okay and she ignored us... this is terrible customer service

Yelp
The ongoing pandemic has definitely taken a toll on a lot of businesses and public places since a consumer's mindset to buy anything outside of essentials or to visit a public place like a park or beach, has crippled down significantly. Now by living with what has become the new normal, it is commendable on how these businesses and public places continue to remain open and cater to the general public by following the safety standards. It is now all the more important that we as customers, support these heroes during these dark hours to mankind. Something unique with Key West is every business' obsession in owning the tag line "World famous" followed by their product, like the young boy Russell from the movie Up who is so obsessed of getting his final merit badge. Key Lime Bakery is no exception to that and is one which is totally eligible to own the tag line "World famous Key lime Pie". Hands down they make the best key lime Pie (apparently the ones who found the recipe). Do a Yelp Chekin to get $1 discount on a piece of Key lime pie. The staff were friendly and they had a variety of eatable and touristy items other than the pies too. The pie was so good that we returned for a second time before we left the Keys. If you are visiting Keys, you must definitely checkout this place.

Selina F.

Yelp
Free tasting of cookies, fast service, seating indoors and outside!Knowledgeable hosts with ready smiles!

Yelp
We went in trying to get the typical required tourist, authentic Key lime pie slice, but also got the ice cream because we read a lot of good reviews on it. We got two scoops in a waffle cone which completely filled it. She put Key lime flavor in the bottom and coconut on top. The ice cream was very smooth and delicious. The coconut was light and fluffy and had pieces of coconut throughout. It was almost as if we had a Key lime pie with coconut whip cream on top in a cone. We shared the ice cream, and we're both too full to really eat any pie, but we did try a taste of the plain Key lime as well as the coconut Key lime. It looks as if the coconut Key lime is just Key lime pie with coconut shavings on top, but it's half coconut cream and half Key lime. Both were absolutely amazing in their own right that we bought an extra slice of each to take back with us. There are two small tables, and maybe six chairs total to eat if you didn't want to take it on a walk with you. There are benches out front as well. They have a lot of touristy, Keylime treats and things for sale, as well as a store with more things to buy and a windowed area where probably see them making the pies fresh during the day.
google avatar

Stella F.

Yelp
The shop and the lady working the register left much to be desired. Took a couple of times for her to take off the $1 for the Yelp check in despite saying she did but giving me a total for the Renault price. It was smaller than I expected and already pre packaged in the freezer (I was expecting the chocolate slice to be dipped on demand). However once I tried it, it was really good and I would definitely go back for another

Nikki R.

Yelp
Service excellent Best of the three places we tried On business in the keys but this place made it more vacay style. Adorable decor

Josie B.

Yelp
The lady at the counter was very unfriendly and started serving the person after because "we were not ready". The key lime pies tasted frozen inside. Too bad.
