The 8 Best Restaurants & Bars In Phuket - Phuket - The Infatuation

"Khanom jeen is a dish that’s synonymous with Phuket. Everybody eats these fresh rice noodles topped with different curries, sauces, and herbs for breakfast. This spot near Saphan Park is one of the few places where you can eat khanom jeen for lunch or early dinner. The curries and sauces they have change often, but the ones with peanut and beef are particularly good—the peanut sauce is super savory, and a nice balance to the chili oil, anchovies, and thai basil you should top it with. The noodles themselves are particularly bouncy, and an individual serving only costs around $2. Come here for a quick meal and then go explore the nearby night market across the road." - carlo mantuano

If you’re seeking an authentic taste of Southern Thai cuisine, Khanom Jeen Saphan Hin is a must-visit. Located near the Saphan Hin roundabout in Phuket Town, this long-standing establishment has been serving locals and visitors alike for a long time. I love how affordable it is and how many curry options they have — from crab curry to fish organ curry, all packed with Southern Thai flavors. Everything comes out super quick, and the place is clean and efficient, even when it’s busy. Also, the fried chicken and boiled eggs were simple but perfect alongside the noodles.

On the more expensive side for khanom jeen, you can get the same thing for 50 baht. My bill ended up being 170 baht for two curries, 2 eggs and a curry fish in banana leaf. But, it was very tasty, and you can make 100 flavor combinations with the small side dishes and herbs. Treat yoself!

This is a local gems that offers southern style khanom Jeen . This is more like a Phuket way of doing it. The soup is more intensive , the spicy level it good for people whom like to try southern food style . The crab curry is more sweet ( small crab ) . I personally prefer the beef curry . It goes well with the noodles . The side dishes carries many variety . And it’s free refills and dried anchovies too . The fried chicken is also good ( juicy and tender ) . And the Hor Mok ( leaf wrap mashed curry paste with fish ) . This shop offer thai dessert . Worth a try . Plenty of parking in the front shop and it’s an open area shop design . Toilet is clean too . Wheelchair is accessible and kids are welcome too buy the food might be a bit spicy for kid . Overall this place worth a try while you in Phuket as many locals will drop by too so this is not a tourist oriented restaurant. Menu includes minimum English which helps a lot. Price is reasonably cheap for the quality and service . Good service by the staff . Shop deco style like thai local style . Will come Back again if drop by Phuket again .

Delicious local curry noodles (khanom jeen). You can choose between different types of curries (crab curry is a winner). Fish homok was amazing. Order your plate of curry first then help yourself with the tray of vegetables. Each plate is small so you can go for 2 or more each.

Very delicious and cheap. Not too spicy. I think Namprik is a good combination with other sauces cuz it gives a hint of sweet taste. The fish cake and fried chicken were also good.

one of the best Khanom-Jean restaurant For those who don't know what is Khanom-jean, it is rice noodle served with different kind of curry. This restaurant offers different kind of curry ranging from the crazily spicy one (the black one) to the least spicy (yellow one) Personally, I like this place but my mom doesn't because they have only a few (and limited) veggies which generally is 'the must' side dish for Khanom-jean.
