In the Medical District, this mom-and-pop draws regulars for punchy southern-leaning flavors, khao soi, green curry, and housemade desserts. Recent hours and menu are active online; praised by local diners for friendly service and honest spice.

Thoroughly enjoyed many of their dishes. Crispy Duck Curry is their signature and lives up to its reputation. Duck Roti was also very nice. Tom Yum was fine, Crispy Pork Belly was great, but tad too salty, and their Shrimp Dumplings were the most disappointing (both the dumpling and the stuffing textures were sticky and the flavor was a tad bland). There are not too many seats and only one server, so at peak hours, expect to wait for a long time for seating and service. Outside of peak hours, this is a wonderful Thai fusion place. Spice level is the same as other fusion places: not nearly as spicy as more authentic places.

We’ve been to many Thai restaurants, and based on the high ratings, we expected something special here. Unfortunately, it felt like just another regular spot. The food was decent more like good takeout than anything memorable and the service definitely has room for improvement.

Google
This is our GO TO Thai spot in the DFW metroplex. It’s a beautiful little restaurant with kind waitstaff and delicious food. I love their Thai tea and I fiend for the chicken satay. Everything I’ve had from their menu doesn’t disappoint The only reason this isn’t 5 stars is because for some reason the portion sizes are inconsistent. Some times I’ll get many slices of chicken satay and lots of lettuce and other times I’ll get like 2 slices and a pinch of greens, then the price stays the same. So I’m overpaying for a small portion when I KNOW they give more. For two people, we typically pay upwards of $80 - so it’s pretty pricey if you’re going for a full meal experience.

Google
Good portion size. No differing lunch menu but they were quick and it was a good meal! Pad Thai was great.

Google
My favorite Thai food near the airport! The Laos egg roll, pad Thai, Orange chicken and various rice dishes are all amazing! I also love their mango sticky rice dessert! This is a must try if you are in the area! And you have to try the Laos egg roll if you like mushrooms. My absolute favorite of their eggroll/spring roll options!

Google
I had the chef special. It came with spring rolls as part of the lunch special. It was edible but not good. The white rice was perfect. I really enjoyed the spring roll and the dipping sauce. I was very put off by our server. He stood at the end of our table and explained how to order. His accent was very strong, and I didn't understand what he was saying. He seemed slightly annoyed when asked about the menu. Lol. I would try this place again, but not that guy. **Update: I gave this place another try and I'm glad I did! Service was excellent. I had the Messame Curry and spring rolls. Perfect.

Google
These were the most undercooked dumplings I’ve ever had. I never send food back, so I asked to pack them and air-fried them at home; just to make them edible and not waste the food. Fried rice was good though

Google
Lemme just start by saying I don’t even like Thai food. Anyways my girlfriend and I looked up places to eat near by and found this spot. We called on a Saturday, they said they weren’t too busy and can accommodate us even if we show up late. We arrived at 8:25 PM not knowing what time they closed… they closed at 9. I felt bad knowing they closed soon but the two people in the store didn’t seem to care. They greeted us and helped us out without any attitude. Then came the food, we got tom yum soup with tofu, duck curry, papaya salad, and one more dish I don’t remember the name, but they were peak. I mean I’ve never had Thai food that I liked to this extent. I tried the Tom yum soup and was like ima need another Togo. I’m telling you best Thai food ever. Also Thai tea 10/10. We will come here every time we visit Dallas. I called my mom to tell her how good this place was.

Chazz S.

Yelp
The food is delicious and our server was awesome. We were asking questions about the Thai tea and he even gave us a tea bag to take home! It created a memorable experience for my wife and I.

Yelp
Five stars all of the way! I was at a business upstairs getting a facial and was craving Thai food. This little gem is in a very nondescript strip mall with so much potential, located on the cusp of the medical district and Love Field. The owner, Chan, is young and passionate about his food (he is a chef and trains his cooks). He greeted me, made recommendations, and was just so nice. His place is spotless and his food is TDF. Be sure to try the Laos Crispy Rolls and the Kra Paw Kai Khai Daow. Check out this little gem...I am fairly certain Chan is going to be big someday !

Yelp
I am so happy I went with my gut and tried the crispy pork belly noodles Ploy, our waitress was fantastic, so kind and checked on us often. I tried my husbands curry and didn't love the texture of the chicken, I'm sure it was well cooked but it was super soft and chewy. Flavor was good though. Next time I'd live to get pad Thai. The ac wasn't very high but it honestly adds to the ambiance- made me feel like we were back in Thailand. I'd definitely come back

Yelp
Small Thai restaurant in shopping center close to UT Southwestern Medical Center. Excellent Pad See Ew! Good service. Made good recommendations. Crunchy vegetarian spring rolls, not dry inside, great dipping sauce. Food made with very fresh ingredients. Would like to try the crab fried rice next time.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time! Everything was good and sizes are plentiful. We had green curry, chicken Thai basil and the star was the spicy edamame. Maybe I'm off but I don't think of Thai and edamame. They grill it and the. Throw it in the basil spicy sauce. Omg! Best I've ever had! Service was great. No complaints about anything. Try it out!
google avatar

Kate B.

Yelp
the spicy shrimp dumplings are a need to order. the fried rice was okay not very flavorful, but the crispy duck curry was great! ladies were super sweet here and were very attentive. the decor is so cute inside, like off the streets of Thailand.

Yelp
dare i say... Best Thai Restaurant in Dallas Small business, beautiful interior, comfortable seating Khao Soi was the Chef Signature and it held true Yellow and Green Curry were magnificent Tom Kha was phenomenal, creamy and not too oily BYOB, not too much seating, 15-25ish seater restaurant, v small
google avatar

Chelsea B.

Yelp
Outstanding food. We ordered delivery and all was exactly as described and expected. The food was so delicious and we can't wait to eat at the restaurant, especially as it's BYOB. Don't stick to the typical Thai dishes as the speciality items are worth every bite. The Laos eggrolls are a great change and crispy duck roti would make an excellent lunch as they are perfect size. The northern style yellow curry was to die for, so rich and tasty. So glad we took the opportunity to try this gem.

Yelp
Great Ambiance, Small place, great service (the servers were great), food slightly better but I wouldn't consider it authentic (eg: Basil Fried Rice test more of a Chinese fried rice instead of Thai Fried Rice). Slightly smaller portion compared to other places. Good restaurant though.

Yelp
Ordered dinner delivery for family members in Dallas from California, all done online with excellent service! The process was easy and everyone was satisfied. The family members -recipients were grateful and food was delicious. Happy belly's, thank you Khao Horm Thai! Can't wait to try the food in person next time in Dallas!

Yelp
Hidden gem in the neighborhood. Super cozy place that I am definitely making my regular place. First time visiting so, went safe with a pad thai. Not bad at all! I can't wait to try other dishes in the menu. I have to say I was really impressed with the Laos Eggrolls. Those I am ordering again for sure.

Yelp
Small, quant Thai restaurant with simple decor and seating. Menu has a good variety. Husband had Pad Thai with spice level 3. This was very good but felt the spice level was not a true 3. I had the green curry with spice level 1. This was AMAZING! The spice level was perfect-- had some heat but could still taste all the other flavors. Our meals came with their spring roll. We did the crispy spring roll that was also very good and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend and would return.

Yelp
Found maybe my new favorite Thai place! Got the chicken pad thai. Normally I don't get pad thai because they tend to be too sweet and I'm not a huge fan of most. But decided I was in the mood to try it so I could know if I could recommend it to a friend. It was good! Not too sweet, good flavor. Good portion size. Chicken was good too. About $15 before tax and tip. My friends got the green curry and pineapple fried rice and liked them too. Not the biggest restaurant but ample seating. Friendly service, you order at the table but pay up front. I'm curious about the duck roti, other appetizers, and dessert! Definitely coming back

Yelp
Solid Thai food restaurant. I ordered the green curry and the Thai fried rice to go. The service was efficient. The staff were friendly. The inside of the restaurant was endearing and festive. The way they packaged the food well done. The cost is a little pricey, but food was delicious.
google avatar

Cameron M.

Yelp
Great experience! We were in the area and in the mood for Thai so we stopped in. We had the Massaman Curry and the Khao Soi Avalon with the Lao Eggrolls. All of the dishes were uniformly excellent. Well prepared with a great balance of flavors. The Khao Soi in particular is the best version I have ever had of the dish. The staff was friendly and helpful and the restaurant is clean and cute.

Yelp
Cute little spot near campus. The pad thai was much better than the pad see ew I had tried before! They have a pretty good selection of options for a pretty affordable lunch
google avatar

Victor C.

Yelp
The food is truly amazing and clearly made with love. I recently ordered the crispy pork belly with rice and it was delicious.

Yelp
Such a great find near the UT Southwestern medical center. Went with a gal pal and everything we ordered was delicious! Tom Kha soup Green curry Pad Sew Ew We both enjoy spicy food, but decided to go with a 2/5 on most of our dishes. I'd say it was an enjoyable kick (anything higher and we may have had been breaking a sweat)! Restaurant was super clean and nicely decorated. The staff was sweet and knowledgable about ingredients in each dish (which comes in handy, especially if you have a food allergy). This place is officially my new favorite Thai spot in DFW. Highly recommend!

K P.

Yelp
I'm actually shocked at how bad my food was from here. Especially given all of the good reviews. All I got was basil fried rice (which is so easy to make well) and it was TERRIBLE. No flavor, the rice texture wasn't good and it wasn't cheap. I should've known it wouldn't taste like anything when they didn't ask me to select my spice level online. I definitely won't be coming back which is a shame because I live around the corner.

Yelp
My favorite Thai spot for sure. I drive from ROCKWALL for this spot. So good. The crab Rangoon is the best in the city. And I love the curry and the Khao Soi. Amazing.

Yelp
BEST THAI FOOD IN Dallas hands down! Service is quick and friendly. Shout out to Sone (spelling?). The shop is quaint and so cute but best of all the food is FIRE. In three weeks we've dined in 6 times. We tried the following: Crab fried rice- level 4 and they don't skimp on crab Papaya salad- level 4. Refreshing bite that's tangy and sweet. Tom Kha Soup- level 4 with shrimp. Flavor bomb! Tom Yum Soup- level 4 with shrimp. Sweet, citrusy, Laos Egg Rolls- meaty but light and the sweet sauce compliments it well Mango sticky rice- FAV in DAL! Not too sweet but sweet enough to kill the sweet tooth. My fav dish here Crab Rangoon- MUST TRY. Best appetizer Khao soi- level 4 with mixed meat. Earthy and fulfilling especially on a cold day. Flavor is amazing. White Pad Thai- level 4 mixed. Very peppery but good. Regular Pad Thai- Shrimp Level 4. 2nd fav noodle dish. Pad See Ew- level 4 Shrimp. FAV NOODLE DISH. Flavorful, perfectly cooked noodle.

Yelp
It's very Thai authentic spicy basil stir-fried or Pad Kra-Pow with Fried egg. This is how Thai people eat spicy basil stir-fried. Excellent service by owner with also smiling face. Nice cozy restaurant with warm welcome and beautiful lighting.
google avatar

Tiffany J.

Yelp
This place is SO good! Definitely some of the best Thai food in the area. I got the crispy duck noodle soup which has a really generous portion of duck in it and was absolutely bursting with flavor. The service was nothing special but she was quick and efficient! And the restaurant itself is so cute inside. I can't wait to keep coming back here!

Yelp
First time ordering from here so we got the basics: pad see ew with chicken, pad Thai with chicken, and shrimp summer rolls. By the time we picked up the food and made it back to the apartment, the food was still very hot! Everything was very tasty. With the proximity to UTSW, this will easily be a go to take out spot. I appreciate the ability to order online, especially after an exhausting day. The process is straightforward and the pick up process was very easy. The person who helped us was very friendly. Be back soon!

Yelp
An amazing find! This Thai restaurant has become a quick go-to for us as it is cozy, tasty, and affordable. Service is awesome - the waiters are friendly and attentive. Favorite dishes include the Khao Soi, Crab Fried Rice, and Basil Stir-Fried Chicken. Quality is consistent! Will definitely be a regular here

Yelp
Great food and great staff. The environment is calm and clean. What more could you want. They also have the best curry!

Seth R.

Yelp
Visited this Thai restaurant on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Great service, food was excellent-vegetables were fresh, and the flavors were good. One of the better Thai restaurants I have found in the DFW area. We had the papaya salad, Pad Thai, Pad See Ew and green curry. I think the green curry was my favorite. Staff were friendly and accommodating. A great pick if you find yourself down near the Medical Center.

Yelp
The food here is consistently great, and the service is both courteous and fast. Can't think of anything else to ask for.

Yelp
My GF and I landed in Dallas and were starving. We have been up since 4am to catch an early flight, and finally made it to Dallas at 11am central time. I tasked her with finding a place to eat and she came across this Thai restaurant with an almost perfect rating. Say less.. There's plenty of parking outside. The restaurant is smaller, but very nice and modern inside. There were plants throughout the restaurant which gave it a very good vibe. We were seated immediately and took a look at the menu. You see very standard Thai dishes, noodles, rice etc. We started with the papaya salad, which is always a must for us. For all the dishes, you get to chose the spice level, between 1-5, with 1 being least spicy and 5 being super spicy. We went with 4 for the salad. For our main dishes, I went with the pad see ew with beef, and my GF chose the crab fried rice. Both with medium spice, 3. The food came out fairly quick, and the portions were very good. The papaya salad was amazing! It had excellent flavor, great spice, and even had slices of guava in it for sweetness. We loved the papaya salad, and cleaned the entire dish. The pad see ew was amazing. Everything was fresh, flavor was just right, and was cooked perfectly. Good balance of veggies; carrots & brocolli. The crab fried rice was also amazing, excellent flavor, not too salty and there was a ton of crab meat. Both dishes were cooked on a very hot wok, as you can taste it. Throughout the meal, we just kept telling each other, wow this is so good! Service was good, the waiter was attentive and checked in on us reguarly. The prices were outstanding compared to what we're use to in the bay area. I think this meal would've been 25-30% more where we live. Crazy. EXCELLENT Thai food, one of the BEST I've ever had personally. We were talking about coming back before we left but never got around to it. When we come back to Dallas, we're back here again first thing!

Yelp
I order from here a lot. I love their mango sticky rice the most out of everything I have tried. The sticky rice smell sooo good and so delicious! I just wish their portion size is a little bit bigger.

Barbra A.

Yelp
Best Thai food in town. Everything is delicious and fresh. Super casual. Not to be missed. Love the curry, noodles, rice, soup...everything!

Daisy I.

Yelp
The food is good I loved eating here for the past 3 years. I am a regular. Recently they had someone new as the register. I feel that I gave him many opportunities to redeem his attitude and it was never corrected. When I would ask for soy sauce he said I don't need it because the food is flavorful itself. I am a customer and that's not my preference but I gave him kindness and said I like soy sauce with my white rice. I know they have forgotten items on my to go order and I went back time after time and not once was it a sincere apology. He informed me they no longer give egg rolls with the meal. I was a bit surprised but said it's okay I'll buy an egg rolls and he said I had to get an order despite there being a side option. I also informed him that I made notes to ensure the beef was fully cooked I do not like pink in the beef. As I began to eat it was pink and not fully cooked so I walked back to inform them. He informed me that's how they cook it and that was it. I informed him I have eaten there many times and it's always cooked and I never had light brown and pink inside the beef. He brushed me off then asked if I would like it remade. I informed him I preferred a refund. He said once again that's how they cook it and I informed him from a customers perspective if I am asking for something to be cooked a certain way it should be done to my liking. Secondly there is no need for the constant remarks or fuss over a soy sauce or his poor demeanor as a whole. I informed him they lost a loyal customer not due to the food but because of his attitude. He really made my experience going every time so poor and never acknowledged they made mistakes on my meals. I will no longer be going here. They became greedy with no longer giving egg rolls on a to go order as well as the poor customer service.

Yelp
Great tasting food, location and experience. The staff are responsive to your dinning experience.

Christian G.

Yelp
Service was quick and the food was delicious. Total after taxes was about 70$ for 5 dishes and 2 Thai teas. Cannot beat the prices for the quality of food. We got level 4 for most of everything and it wasn't very spicy at all. If you like spicy I would go for 5, even then the level 5 wasn't very spicy.

Mark M.

Yelp
I started with fried dumplings, which were overstuffed, flavorful, and juicy. The dough was breaded (I think) which was a nice surprise. I had yellow curry with pork. The sauce didn't disappoint--all the expected overtones were there. If I had it to do over again, I would add the chopped vegetable option, and definitely kick up the heat to #2 or #3 to balance the sweetness of the sauce.

Joshua M.

Yelp
Maybe the best Pad Thai I've ever had. Unique, flavorful. Delicious. Also got mango sticky rice but the mango was not ripened and very hard.. Sticky rice was unbelievable! Will definitely go back
google avatar

Sharon R.

Yelp
I ordered some fresh rolls and Lomein. Very generous portions on both items. The rolls were very fresh and cold and the Lomein was super delicious
google avatar

Cheri M.

Yelp
Best Thai food I've tasted outside Thailand. The service was excellent. Prices were reasonable.
google avatar

Kristie N.

Yelp
This was actually really tasty. The Taro milk tea is okay, the pad Thai was good although I got chicken instead of beef like I ordered and I chose the spiciest option and it didn't taste like it had any spice. The crispy duck red curry was also really good. It had a lot of meat compared to the amount of curry but I personally was fine with that. Packaged nicely to-go

Renk T.

Yelp
I've ordered take out from here many times and it is by far the best Thai food I've tried in Dallas. The pad Thai is amazing; it's not sweet like a lot of other places. The pad kee Mao is also delectable. Ingredients are fresh and the establishment is very clean. I can't wait to try other dishes here. 10/10!

Hayoung Y.

Yelp
Awesome place to eat authentic Thai and Lao food! I really like their White Pad thai! so delicious! Also like the vibe of the restaurant very cafe-like place.

Taylor C.

Yelp
The food was delicious. Ambiance is nice. Never had Laos Egg Rolls before, it was pretty good.

Francia F.

Yelp
First time trying! We got the Shrimp Summer Rolls and Spicy Edamame. Everything tasted AMAZING. I loved how fresh the ingredient tasted. Will be back soon! Quick and attentive service and cute place!

Jessica P.

Yelp
INCREDIBLE! So fresh, flavorful, and unique! Obviously made from scratch, healthy beautiful fresh veggies, sauces were to die for! Service was fast, friendly, and efficient. The restaurant itself is a really classy space, with comfortable seating for date night, and a really smart use of the space. Literally everything we ordered was the best we'd ever had and we have tried a lot of Asian styles!!

Jenny Y.

Yelp
Perfect place to have authentic Thai food! Usually I'm pretty picky with Thai food, but all the foods I had here were amazing. As the appetizer, I had the spicy shrimp dumplings and Lao spring roll. Both had great flavor with good sauce. For the entrees I had: crab fried rice, Tom yum bowl, white pad Thai, Panang curry, pad Thai. All the entrees were very good and all of my family members enjoyed it. It was my first time trying the white pad Thai and I might be back just for that . The server was very friendly and the service was immaculate. The restaurant is clean and the interior is so cute! I will for sure will be back with my family again! OH! And don't sleep on their dessert! The tea and Thai desserts weee so yummy.

Simon T.

Yelp
Food is great. Service is excellent. We've been here twice, and food remains consistent. Certainly highly recommended

Kathryn P.

Yelp
Service was fantastic! Ordered too much food but all good. The spicy edamame delicious even though they were greasy. The pad ke mow with chicken yummy, not greasy at all and noodles not soggy and over cooked. We both got small Tom yum soup and was really good, again really greasy. My hubby enjoyed everything and so did I but stomach upset from grease. We also got the veggie spring rolls....peanut sauce was different but really good. Wish they had more veggies in them....just lettuce, carrots, basil I think......we try almost every Thai restaurant we can and this one we will go back soon. Thanks for the great service!

Faouzi B.

Yelp
Fix the quality of your meat, please. The sizzling Bangkok, beef was tuff and hard to chew. The chicken used in my chicken larb was not pure chicken, or it was the worst part of the chicken. Yes, we all know the price of food has changed, but so has your price. This used to be a favorite place. Go back to what made you good.

Barbara M.

Yelp
Crispy duck curry is a must! Matcha & butterfly pea tea were yummy Service was great, clean place, bathroom was out of service but an easy fix that did not make or break the experience. I ended up using the men's. I'll be back!
