A famous khao soi restaurant that’s in the Michelin Guide. They only serve khao soi, with options for chicken, beef, or both. This spot is no-frills, classic hole-in-the-wall Thai. You sit down, make a simple selection, and get your food in ~3 minutes, as pots of broth and meat are continually being cooked.
I had the chicken khao soi. I loaded it with pickled cabbage, shallots, and dry chili. It was definitely a really good bowl of khao soi. The broth was smooth, complex, and creamy, the chicken was tender, and the toppings were good. I’m not sure this the absolute best khao soi I’ve ever had, but it’s certainly a very good bowl. And for 80 baht (~$2.50 USD), it’s a ridiculously good deal.
