This was my first time visiting Khon Thai Restaurant, and I was very impressed. The restaurant is in a great location next to HEB, making it easy and convenient to get to. The interior is beautifully decorated, with seating available both indoors, outdoors, and in private rooms. I attended a friend’s wedding here, which was held in one of the private rooms. The space was lovely and well-sized, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere that was perfect for the celebration. The Thai food offered a wide variety of menu options, and the flavors were excellent and well worth the price. The staff provided attentive and friendly service throughout the event. The owner was very detail-oriented and helpful, making the planning process smooth and easy, with advance reservations available for private events and special occasions. I highly recommend Khon Thai Restaurant to anyone looking for a great place to host a private event or celebration. 💐

Left bitter aftertaste about Thai cuisine! And our family loves Thai It took very very long time for the order, even though, only 4 tables were seated. The server came with food apologizing, saying they had only one cook. We had a baby with us, so it was pretty inconvenient to have to deal with longer than expected waiting time. All dishes we got were not just not good, they were terrible! The soup was too sweet, was like only coconut milk with almost no spices/herbs for the broth. Non existent other vegetable, only a few huge slices of mushrooms. There is no time when I am in a Thai restaurant and don’t order pad Thai, I couldn’t eat this terrible hard food super salty stuff they give you. Rice was more or less ok even though very salty as well, meat was rubbery. My dad ate the rice with a lot of lime juice to kill the salt, but not the meat (see the pic) I felt bad, not because of wasting money here, but because my dad was craving it, and it was the last day of his visit, so it totally ruined our experience. When server asked if everything was ok, I said if you want the truth and told him how much the food sucked. No one from management came to inquire after… so tells you how much they care I already shared my feedback on this place with my 2 neighbors that are into Asian food. And will strongly advocate against it, should this restaurant come into conversation about possible lunch/dinner options in the future. 😖

Came here on a recommendation and it absolutely lived up to it. The chicken fried rice and pad Thai were both delicious and full of flavor. We also tried the pork belly appetizer and it was perfectly cooked, delicious, and had just the right amount of spice. The restaurant is open, spacious and had great service. Decent parking too. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

Tried Khon a while back & Omg the pad see ew is sooo good. This is now my go-to Thai place. The food is amazing and reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. Overall 10/10! Btw they have a pretty wide variety of menu options including vegetarian, vegan, & gluten free choices.

Everything was absolutely amazing! Some of the best Thai I've ever had. We got the Khan Rolls, Tom Kha, the Panang Beef, and the pineapple fried rice. It was all amazing. And I can't remember the name of the drink I got but it was a Martini with house made tamarind syrup and it was AHmazing! Service was amazing also, Kap Khun Kha!!!

This Thai restaurant was all together a good experience. All the things were good except for the soup my lady got. It was not good at all. She didn't like it and didn't eat more than like 2 bites. She said it was authentic but the soup was no Bueno. (She's Thai if that says anything). All together I would come here again.

Absolutely amazing Thai dining experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with beautiful traditional decor that makes you feel like you’re stepping into Thailand. The food was outstanding, our table enjoyed a variety of dishes, including papaya salad, fried pork with dipping sauce, a flavorful Tom Yum soup served over fire,... Every dish was fresh, authentic, and full of rich flavors. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. If you’re looking for authentic Thai food in Austin with both taste and experience, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Huge Thai food lover here -- especially when it comes to Pad Thai! I've lived in the Austin area for seven years and have been consistently disappointed with most of the Pad Thai I've tried... except for two places: Thai-Kun at The Domain (unfortunately they closed down) and now Khon Thai I actually didn't know about this spot until I saw a Facebook thread asking for Pad Thai recommendations -- and the overwhelming answer was Khon Thai. So of course, I had to check it out... and I'm so glad I did!

We had ordered take out because my sibling wanted to try Khốn Thai Kitchen by seeda. I was hesitant to order from here because of my pervious experience here. But my sibling insisted so we decided to give them another try. We ordered three dishes: *C1 Green Curry*** : 1/5 I got mild spice level and this was not mild. It was super spicy like medium or hot. The flavor was good and leaned more sweet but it's firey spicy. *K2 Panang Beef** : 1/5 the beef Chuck is super chewy and cut in huge chunks where it is really hard to eat. It did not taste like panang at all. I got mild and it was mild. *Hungry roll: 1/5 this roll was Thai inspired sushi. Why I said that is because the spicy salmon in the roll was mixed with red Thai chilis so it was hella hot. I've never had a Japanese sushi roll with Thai chili mixed in the spicy salmon or tuna. You cannot enjoy the sushi roll at that point and why wasn't that informed to the customer in description of the sushi roll how spicy it is. That's insane. Do I recommend this place? Sadly I was hoping things will work out better but everything we got we couldn't eat because it was too spicy or not good. Ignoring mild request and making things extra spicy to the chefs liking is just wrong. We will not be returning.

Met some friends here after dancing at Central Market to eat and listen to a singer perform that one of my friends knew. We had a nice time and the food was really good! They were decently busy so we had to flag our wait person down a few times to help with orders or follow up items. The six of us were seated at a table near the musical entertainment, and it was nice to have live music to listen to while eating. The place was decorated festively for the holidays. I'm sure I'll be back again to try more items!

Rating: 3.8/5 [delivery] A1 Khon's Roll ($7): You can choose pork or veggie for the protein, and we went with pork. The order came with 3 rolls which were okay overall. The wrapper was crispy but the ground pork filling did not feel balanced. I couldn't tell there were bean thread noodles, green cabbage, and carrot inside because it mostly just tasted like meat. It came with a sweet and sour sauce that looked like fish sauce but tasted homemade. A5 Pork Belly ($12): Braised pork belly that was fried, topped with fried garlic, and served with house Sriracha sauce. I would not recommend getting this delivered because it was hard by the time we ate it. We reheated it the next day and it tasted better, but still not enough for me to order again. My husband enjoyed it more than I did. K1 Moo Ping ($18): Came with 5 grilled marinated pork skewers, sticky rice, and the house Sriracha sauce. The grilling style seemed different because the skewers did not have consistent grill marks. They also had a glossy finish which was nice. However, I was not a fan of the marinade. On the other hand, my husband really liked the skewers. K11 Kao Soi Fusion ($20) + Shrimp Katsu ($3): Northern Thai red curry sauce, egg noodles, fried wonton, bean sprouts, red onion, lime, pickled mustard, and roasted chili. We chose the spice level that is one level above the original and it was fine for the most part, although you might get random hits of chili that are pretty spicy. This was my favorite entrée of the night and one of the best kao soi I have had. Shrimp katsu is not the typical protein for this dish so I was surprised when I saw the options. The shrimps were huge and not dry but the katsu batter was not crispy and kept falling off. The shrimp katsu and pickled mustard were not great on their own so you should dip it into the curry. The egg noodles were delicious, but the curry is the real star and what made the whole dish shine.

My second time here! For appetizer we got mussels. It was really good with the side sauce that was pretty similar to Mexican green salsa but slightly more fragrant. I was craving something spicy so went for a shrimp tom yum. This is one of my favorite soups! It was kind of sweet at first but then it got pretty hot toward the bottom of the bowl. We also had yellow curry with pork which was great! One of the best Thai curry dishes I had in Austin, hands down! I had a bottle of Chang as well! Never skipping it when I see it. It's one of my favorite lighter beers, although I usually go for darker and heavier ones.

Just know this place is a 10/10! I have not even got up leave and had to write a review. Service A+! Ambience A+! I'm here on a Friday I just stumbled in first time ever and a live band starts at 7pm! The food was so damn amazing I was shellshocked. Please come here! As a vegetarian this place hits the spot!

Love that there's so much seating here! We came with a party of 13 and were able to be seated pretty immediately. The food did take a while to come out, and it was kind of hard to get the server's attention, but that is also probably because we came with such a big group. But the food is really good! This was my first time trying Thai green tea and while it was quite sweet (which I kind of assume from thai drinks now), it was also super fragrant and creamy and delicious. I also got the tom kha and it was amazing. The soup was also so creamy and coconutty, and they give a good amount of meat inside! I did expect the bowl to be a little bigger for $8 though. My friend got the mussel curry, which was also really good. But not really what we expected when we saw "curry". But still the mussels were cooked well, and the sauce was really addicting. I also tried some of my friends pad thai and thought that was alright. It was pretty standard, but it didn't wow me or anything. The mango sticky rice is really pretty though, and the mangos are pretty sweet. I've never really seen anywhere have blue sticky rice though, so it's pretty unique!

By far the best Thai restaurant in Austin! Amazing service and food - we got the pork belly and chicken wings appetizers and both were sizeable portions for the table, well seasoned, and had a nice side sauce for each. I had the Tom Kha soup as well which was very creamy, full of vegetables, a nice balance of sweet and savory, and absolutely delicious. The decor is really nice and tropical, mix of tables and booths, and they also have a private room, and a stage for live music (though there wasn't any while we were there). It's a bit of an odd location, tucked in the corner of a strip mall next to HEB but it actually feels very exclusive once you're there.

I came back today with my friend, and we were so impressed! Service was great, and food came out really fast as well. I definitely have found my favorite papaya salad in town because it came in a HUGE portion size, and there were even sweet Thai sausages, boiled eggs, and fried pork skins! It was quite spicy, so I would ask for it to be more mild (coming from a person who cannot handle any spice). We loved the noodles and ground pork rice. Both were so flavorful, and the portion sizes were great. Lastly, they have the best Thai green iced tea! I loved the foam on top as well. I will definitely be back--such a solid spot for Thai food!

Really nice interior especially the bar area. All the staff were really nice and fast. The food also came out to be really good. The yellow curry was so good we took the extra sauce home to make diner with. Don't toss the sauce!

Delicious lunch at a reasonable price. Fried chicken dumpling and spring roll to start. I had the pad woonsen with pork and my staff each had a chance corn noodle dish. They said it was very good. Big portions on the lunch menu. Comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff.

Unlike Sap's (the Thai restaurant that used to be in this space), this place has tons of vegetarian options and will prepare dishes like pad woon sen without egg. Menu is clearly marked for dietary restriction purposes, including gluten-free. Really appreciate that. Our three rice noodle dishes were all delicious as were the tofu spring rolls. Also appreciated being offered the choice of soft or fried tofu.

I rarely give 5 stars but when all the dishes tastes great and I will go back and bring others with me, I give it a 5! Plus the waiter was super friendly, attentive, kind and nice. The place is cute and clean. There is an outside patio as well as a closed off banquet area too. Roomy! I like the fake roses on the table lol gives it more of a pretty feel. Hydrangeas real ones were outside :) Ok the food. Phenomenal. My daughter recommended it and actually found this Thai place. She also went with friends to try and they all raved about it. So I had to try. I am not always a huge fan of Thai food but if they all tastes great why not? The wings lol the wings were probably my fave. Hot and fresh and crispy. Get them! Beef rendang was pretty good too. Lots of meat they gave. The noodles were good too! The crab fried rice, one of the best. Brussels sprouts are maybe on the too sweet side but still good. Mussels were tasty. The Tom yum coming in a fire bowl was perfect! The tea was odd. Not bad but murky like mud lol Really enjoyed myself even though it was for a bday lunch for 2 of my friends. So glad my rec was a hit with them all too. Nice waiter asked to take a pic for us and we asked him to take more outside where there is this pretty flower graffiti wall. All in all a good lunch or dinner spot. Will come back. Prices were reasonable. It was $200 for all that food plus tax and tip. I liked how everything tasted different not the same. These days it's hard to find a solid restaurant that won't disappoint in our area. But this was sure a hit! Go try! Located in central Austin.

Came here with a large group for dinner on Valentine's Day and was so blown away by the service and the food. We took up half the space in the private dining room and only had one waiter, but he was as attentive as could be. The food came out quickly and every bite was enjoyable. My personal favorite was the beef panang. It was flavorful without being sweet and the meat itself was so tender. The fried fish was a hit too, especially with the green tangy sauce. The crab fried rice had a generous amount of crab, but the rice was a little mushy. The duck curry and moo ping were all delicious, although I wasn't much of a fan of the pork jowel. We also had the pleasure of hearing live music during our dinner, which was a nice touch. Plenty of parking in the lot, but may need to compete with the HEB shoppers. This place did not disappoint!

We wanted something quick and simple, so we decided to grab Thai since this spot was close by. We ordered the beef salad and the duck with tamarind sauce. The duck was a little on the dry side for me, but the beef salad was flavorful and delicious. Service was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant itself is very spacious--big enough to host larger parties comfortably. I also noticed they have a full bar with wine and beer, which is a nice touch if you're dining in. The ambiance was clean, open, and organized with a relaxed vibe that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy your meal. Parking was easy to find, which made the whole experience even smoother.

Pretty good Thai food and super quick service! We order to go. Update - Last night we ordered pick up through Uber and we went to pick the order up 30 min later (as indicated on the app). They were extremely busy and told my husband they didn't know when he would get the food (it was another 30 min), whoever he spoke to was extremely rude. There are ways to talk to regular customers and that wasn't it. Really unfortunate since we usually order from here a few times a month. The food is still really nice and didn't disappoint, but the service did.

I have only ordered Uber Eats but was disappointed both times. Their noodles are super greasy and have lots of MSG, taste like Americanized version of Thai food. I have tried pad thai, pad see ew and tom kha soup. They are not as flavorful as I wanted, I have to add more veggies in the tom kha and chilly sauce in pad see ew.

This restaurant is by far a new Austin favorite of mine! From ambiance, to service, to the food, everything was a 5/5. First and foremost, I want to give a huge thank you to the waitress/hostess Chip. She was so sweet and absolutely amazing in suggestions for food. From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted, able to pick our seat, and provided refreshments. As for the ambiance, the inside is so cute and well maintained. I think I hit the gold on trying this spot because it was on a Saturday night. It turns out Friday and Saturday there is live music starting at 7pm! I was a huge fan of the soft rock soul music and it couldn't have been more perfect. It's fair to say this is a great family, date, friend, or business meeting spot. Now for the food, first up is drinks! Best taste and quality I have ever had. I inquired and learned the Thai tea is fresh, none of the powdered versions. And I must say, I loved it. If you don't want to swing for the teas there is also plenty of sake, which I will have to order the next time. Now let's talk about the pad see ew, what is a better way to put the tastes to the test than a Thai staple! Their pad Thai was exactly what you will be looking for if that's what you desire. Some places can mess up this staple, but this was perfectly done. It's a must, the sauce was well blanched into the noodles and the ratio of chicken to rice noodle to broccoli seemed just right. Last but not least, I heard they were famous for the coconut cake and the taro cake, but from my knowledge taro cake is less popular in Austin. Khon Thai kitchen hit a home run with the taro cake and I have judged many cakes. This delicious delight had chunks of taro in the layers and were topped with more taro. The whipped cream frosting was infused with taro it was almost as if I was drinking a taro boba and it was light and fluffy. The base itself was fluffy and let's just say I want to know if you can order a full size for birthday's. Asking for myself:) Overall, fabulous job to this little gem in Austin, Texas, and the owner should be proud to know they have such wonderful staff with excellent food. The food was good and the service was friendly. Its on the pricer side for Thai food but you get alot of food. I ordered the penang curry that had a lot of beef and a friend ordered the beef dish. We were close by at chick sh!t Bingo and got hungry. I had been wanting to try this place. It didn't disappoint. The restaurant itself has a cute interior. I'm not sure if I would cross town just to come here again but if you're nearby, it was definitely worth it.

Khon Thai is my door dashed favorite. They have unique authentic dishes that always leave me satisfied. Northern curry, really great satay, pad Thai and curries are all amazing. For me this is tip top Thai in Austin!

Went to KHON Thai Kitchen by Seeda last night with my friend Elaine--it was so nice catching up with her in such a gorgeous and clean setting. The restaurant has a modern yet cozy ambiance, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. However, towards the end of our meal, they seemed to disappear, and we had to ask a few times before getting our check, which was a little frustrating. Now, onto the food! The appetizers were excellent, and while the entrees were good, they could have used a bit more seasoning that truly complemented the sauces described. That said, I'd definitely come back and try other dishes before making a final call. Here's what we sampled: Sparkling Passion Fruit Drink - My friend Elaine said it was absolutely delicious! Tamarind & Sake Cocktail - I had this one, and it was smooth, slightly tangy, and quite enjoyable. KHON Wings - Crispy, golden-breaded party wings topped with fried onions, served with a flavorful house Sriracha sauce. These were a hit! Shrimp & Chicken Wontons - Light, crispy, and tasty--though I might need a refresher on exactly what was in them! Broccoli Lover with Chicken - A simple stir-fry with fresh broccoli and house sauce. It was good but could have packed more punch in flavor. Sesame Chicken - Breaded and lightly fried chicken breast with broccoli and sesame seeds. Solid, but again, the sauce could have been a bit more pronounced. Price-wise, it's in line with what's expected these days, so no surprises there. Overall, KHON Thai Kitchen by Seeda has a lot of potential, and I'd be open to trying more dishes next time to see how they compare! Would love to hear what others recommend from the menu!

I was wanting Thai food and saw this place had solid reviews. I got Kratiem Prick Thai and it was pretty good. I've never had this dish before but I wanted to try something out of my comfort zone. They gave me a lot of rice and the chicken was flavored well. Very stir fry but I'm not sure what the crunchy parts were that was topping the chicken. It's a cute place and the staff were friendly too. I would give it 3.5 stars.

Khon Thai Kitchen by Seeda is easily one of my favorite spots in town. The service here is always wonderful; very friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You never feel rushed, and the staff makes great recommendations if you're unsure what to try. The food is incredible. Every entree I've had has been fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with bold, balanced flavors. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and it makes a huge difference. The curries, stir-fries, and noodle dishes are all consistently delicious. One of the best parts is their live local music on weekends. It's such a nice touch to enjoy great food while supporting talented local artists in a cozy, laid-back atmosphere. It turns an already great dinner into a whole experience. Highly recommend if you're looking for a spot with amazing food, warm service, and a little extra something on the weekends.

A beautiful restaurant located in Alandale. It offers a nice menu with good food. The service is good. What I liked most was the live guitar player. The music was relaxing and not so loud that you could still have a conversation. Bravo to the artist!

The food is delicious. The servers are attentive. My only concern is about the additional charges and surcharges without any alert or warning--like a flood. For instance, when ordering an item, be prepared for an extra charge for a sauce (peanut, garlic, etc.) and other items. Brown rice is called riceberry rice here, and the charge is $3. There is an automatic gratuity of 20 percent, and you may add additional tip, ranging from 2 to 7 percent or custom. One order of garden rolls and large tom kha totaled $36.88. We were surprised by the fees and had to speak to someone, since the server could not show us the line-item receipt. Everything got corrected. We will be more careful by reading the menu closely with reading glasses, since there are hidden fees permitted if it's on the menu. We need to read more closely.

Came here for dinner with a friend and it was delicious!! I got the Thai boat noodles and they were so flavorful and yummy!! I loved the crispiness of the pork rinds!! Will def be back!!

Hidden Gem in Austin, TX! I went here near Valentine's Day and they had these heart-shaped rice! So cute! This Thai restaurant is decorated nicely and food is delicious! You can't go wrong with any order but I highly recommend the pad see ew and mango sticky rice for dessert!

I won't repeat all the wonderful comments by so many others. Just suffice to say we had an excellent experience. We went on a Saturday so we got to enjoy the live music. The food, the service and the ambiance were all amazing. So good that we returned the following Saturday to enjoy it all over again. This will be a regular stop when we're looking for a really nice dinner.

Price was great (I had Pad Thai, Thai Tea, and Coconut Soup) all with shrimp. Food was a 3/4 out of 5. Soup was freshly cooked and shrimp was big (5/5). Matcha Tea was gritty (3 out of 5) switched to Thai Tea (5/5). Pad Thai was a little well done for me but shrimp was excellent. For everything was $36 bucks

KHON was such an unexpected experience. It has a bit of an Insta-worthy look with great food. The women singing with their electric pianos was certainly unexpected. I don't know if they are a staple on Friday evenings or how busy it was this evening is typical, but it was hopping. There was a party in the side room as well. The servers seemed a little overwhelmed, but they were apologetic and friendly. There's a full bar where they infuse sake. I ordered the Kao Soi Fusion and my husband had the K3 Kua Kling Praram***. My dish (pictured) was so darn good. It was bold and filling with a hint of heat. The sake was on the sweet side, but that worked for me. We will definitely return.

Friendly service, lovely live music (Friday night), no wait, great staff, and most importantly delicious food!!

We decided to come here around 5:30pm on a Wednesday for dinner. The restaurant is in the same plaza as H‑E‑B and occupies one of the larger spaces. Parking was not an issue. Both front and back lots exist. Arriving inside, although the restaurant was not busy, they did seem a bit short of staff, with one person multitasking: greeting patrons, packing takeout orders, seating guests, taking and placing orders for tables, bringing out food, and cleaning tables. Still, service was very friendly, attentive, and on point. The restaurant itself is quite spacious and has nice design elements within, in various areas of the restaurant. Wi-Fi information is posted at the front of the restaurant. After being seated, it was mentioned that since the sushi bar had recently opened, they were offering a dollar off promotion for everything on the sushi bar menu. Lots of stir-fried dishes on their main menu. My water glass had a weird wet dog smell, but it was tolerable. We decided to order a Pad Kee Moi with pork, and a Kao Soi Fusion with shrimp katsu. We later decided to add on unakyu maki and hamachi nigiri (they were out of hamachi belly). Pad Kee Mao -- some heat, not particularly spicy, but great wok hei on all the ingredients. Plenty of pork and veggies. Would order again. Kao Soi Fusion -- the katsu comes on top of the egg noodles buried underneath in the curry. Comes separately with beans sprouts, pickled veggies, onion, and a lime. Something about those fresh veggies in contrast with the curry makes the curry taste even better. The five pieces of shrimp katsu were enjoyable. The egg noodles were egg noodles, but I thought the curry was best enjoyed with the bean sprouts and red onions. The sushi bar order seemed to take a while to prepare. Both items we ordered were enjoyable. The unakyu maki rolls are tiny, and the eel component was balanced with the right amount of rice, cucumber, and sauce. I was pleasantly satisfied with the hamachi nigiri. For checkout, our waiter showed us the sushi promo discount and also our order showing the itemized prices on a tablet and the subtotal--this step is often skipped for restaurants utilizing non-paper bills--which I appreciated. Conclusion: interior decor and ambiance is quite nice, no matter where in the restaurant you sit. Their stir-fried food has the smokey kiss from the wok hei. Sushi promo for their sushi bar and pretty good sushi. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. Wi-Fi is offered, and their food is quite yummy. I would come to eat here again.

This place is really authentic! You can definitely tell that the staff is from Thailand and they love cooking their food and sharing their culture! Everyone is super friendly and very respectful! I got the Kao Soi with tofu which was really delicious! It was a very large portion size and the spice was just right. The tofu katsu was perfectly made it tasted almost like chicken! Worth it! Great food and great vibe!

First time here and we tried the fried duck. It appears it was deep fry and it was extremely dry. No salt, no flavor, just fry bare. A bit disappointing after many positive reviews. The prices here are high compared to other local Thai restaurants. We also tried the beef salad. The beef was nice and tender. The lettuce was soggy. Flavors were good but not Thai. This is more of a fusion Thai restaurant.

I really like this place! Pad Thai was good, not great but I loved the massamam curry! They have great lunch specials and a diverse menu. Servers are always great and good atmosphere. Love coming here for lunch.

First time at Khon Thai Kitchen and did not leave disappointed!! Everything was so delicious. We had to wait a while when we arrived for someone to seat us, but I think they were just short staffed that day. The food itself was great. Plenty of parking in the open lot, too, which was a nice surprise. I got the chicken pad woonsen and the garden rolls with chicken. Both were 10/10. Portions are sizable, too! Also, I didn't get the chance to take a picture, but the aesthetic inside is amazing! They've got tons of plants all over the place and it creates a great vibe I'll be back for sure! Khon thai id my favorite thai restaurant in the Austin area!! Their spicy is actually spicy ( i love spicy ) and they certainly satisfy my cravings c: i love their papaya salad - portions are large and it comes with noodles, hardboiled eggs, and sausage (really yummy) and the slow roasted panang beef curry is also so yummy. The pork jowl dish and steak dish is also really yum. Def come by if you want authentic thai food and enjoy spicy food!

I was nervous to try this spot since I used frequent this location when it was previously Sap's. I am really glad I give this place a shot. The food was delicious. We had the green curry, chicken satay, stir fried chicken and vegetables, brussel sprouts, and pad sew ew. The brussel sprouts were a pretty small portion for $8 but overall it was really good. We also had the mango sticky rice and it tasted great. The food came out pretty fast and the server was friendly.

Khon Thai Kitchen is an absolute gem. Hands down the best Thai food we've had in Austin so far. We've tried several spots around the city, but nothing compares to the flavor, quality, and care that goes into the dishes here. We came here for our mid week date night, and even for a Wednesday evening, they had a decent crowd. We started with the spicy edamame, which was good but leaned more sweet than spicy. We were hoping for more heat there. But everything else knocked it out of the park. The yellow curry, which we asked to be made spicier, was phenomenal. It rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. I feel like they were very generous with the protein in the curry as well. And the pad see ew was incredible! Pad See Ew is our favorite, and this one was super flavorful with perfectly cooked noodles. Plus, the portions are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth. For everything we spent ~$40. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside. Stylish, welcoming, and has a lot of beautiful Thai art and decorations. On top of that, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Just a really great atmosphere all around. Highly recommend this place if you're craving Thai food. We'll definitely be coming back! :)

Good flavor and service. This is a large restaurant, i dont think you'd have an issue getting seats. They also have a few outdoor seatings. Food: we orders pad see ew and pad thai. Both are delicious. Wished the pad see ew has a bit more color but overall good flavor.

Though they were a bit slow to seat us, the rest of the service was great! They were very friendly and able to offer us some suggestions to our liking. In general the dishes were tasty but the portions were just about average, not too big but not too small. I loved the flavor of the panaang beef and the pad thai was solid too. However, the pad see ew's noodles were not quite the right texture for me. The tom kha was a bit underwhelming given that it looked cool to eat, but it was just a donut-shaped soup bowl, which makes the portions appear bigger than they actually are. For dessert, the mango sticky rice was pretty good! Nice and warm and topped with gold foil . The restaurant itself was also nice to be at as it has some fun decorations and is quite open. There's plenty of parking in the lot outside. Would I come here again? Maybe, but there's a good number of Thai places in Austin now!

I always mean to take a photo of my food to post with a review but it's just too good here to wait that extra moment. Their peanut sauce is amazing and really adds to the already fresh and delicious garden rolls. All the noodle and rice dishes I've tried are wonderful. The last meal I had was the veggie mix with chicken made to be a spicy level 2 (of 4). I am a girl who loves spicy foods and this is the perfect level to feel it but still 100% taste and enjoy the food. Although the parking lot can get crowded, it's worth walking the extra steps if you can't get close. If you enjoy thai - give this spot a try!

This place is tucked away in the corner of the Allandale shopping center. It is a large space with a bar, booths and tables. They have a good lunch menus d great dinners. Lots of folks order for takeout but the time's we have dined in service has been fast, friendly and the food has been excellent! We love the yellow curry with beef, their chicken fried rice, both the Tom Ka and the spicy soup, Tom yum. We've also ordered the Pad Thai (without tofu) and veggie egg rolls. We have ordered beer and I believe they also have cocktails. I'm so happy this in in our neighborhood. They have a lot of parking spot behind the restaurant if there aren't any in front. Highly recommend if you are craving Thai food!

Food was delicious! Portions of the appetizers are great too. Staff is kind and relaxed. The interior is gorgeous! I went on my birthday and it felt special just sitting there. The flavoring is delicious consistently for all the dishes we got!

Just finished having lunch here and really enjoyed our meal. We absolutely love Thai food and have a high standard and this place passed with flying colors :) The prices to portion size was perfect too. Thai Pepper Fried Rice - Deeeeelicous! Panang Beef Curry - really tender beef and flavorful curry. Found this a little spicier but still so good. Khao Soi - this is a fusion version with Japanese Katsu style meat so we chose the shrimp and they were huge and perfectly lightly fried. Less soup than the noodle portion but so flavorful. Can't wait to come back. They apparently have a lunch special from M-Fr for around $13.

Ate here cause my friend wanted Thai for her birthday lunch. The food was great and the service was fast and our server was very nice. I think we came at a good time cause it wasn't busy. Definitely coming back to try more food!

There's something magical about this place. Of all the Thai restaurants I've been in Austin this one is my favorite. Not only are the staff super sweet but the flavors, omg! These photos speak for themselves and my stomach agrees. The food is and tastes so authentic. Their desserts are all homemade there as well. My boyfriend and I always have a sweet time here. Not to mention the interior and exterior space is so airy and cutely decorated with color and plants.
