Hands down the BEST tacos I have EVER had! Flavor that will knock you out of your chair, trust the menu, and no substitutions. Salsas are full of flavor and spice 💯

Google
The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. My salmon tostada was so freaking good. Everything tasted super fresh. I highly recommend the hibiscus tea. The outdoor seating was nice and decorated with plants.

Google
Today was my first time visiting this restaurant and I would highly recommend. I ordered the Poblano and Pastor Al Granor taco. They were both delicious! I also ordered the guacamole with chips and salsa for an appetizer. I ordered the Banana Flan for dessert and that was also delicious as well. Our waiter was also very kind and knowledgeable in regards to the menu. I forgot his name, but he was a tall caucasian guy. All in all I would recommend this restaurant. 10 out of 10!

Google
Ki' Mexico is elevated Mexican food meets casual dining experience. I love the live music, atmosphere and the food never misses. My husband and I love their Sunday brunch. Highly recommend for anyone passing through.

Google
Don’t go here if you want basic Mexican Food. The whole vibe of this place is making Mexican food aesthetic. Mexican food doesn’t have to be aesthetic. It just needs to be GOOD. THE CHEESE DIP IS JUST BASICALLY MELTED MOZZARELLA, AND IT STRETCHES SO FAR THAT YOU COULD PROBABLY TOUCH THE CEILING WITH IT. Don’t ask for anything if you don’t like mushrooms, cause they put mushrooms in everything. It’s a part of their mix apparently. Literally just a girl that wanted basic Mexican food nothing about this place basic and that might be great for some people but if you’re a basic girl like me, don’t go here. I did rate the service pretty high because the staff was very friendly and nice. The food just was not it.

Google
Amazing tacos! The first time I visited I was thrown off by the ingredients because some were things I’d never tried but was blown away by the combination of flavors. They’re unique and flavorful. Another thing I appreciate here is how it’s always busy but the service is very prompt and attentive. They are really efficient in seating and service.

Google
I had dinner at Ki' Mexico yesterday with a couple of colleagues. We ordered tacos and hamburgers, which they only offer the burger on Wednesdays. The burger was so good and tasty and the service was great!

Google
Been going to Ki ever since they've opened, their tacos have always been really good. They aren't your traditional tacos by any means, but they're delicious none the less. A little on the pricey side (5-6 bucks per taco), but that's my only complaint.

Yelp
The work that went into curating these tacos was so impressive! Everything was good! This is a hidden gem that we will definitely be back to visit.

Yelp
Loved this place, from vibe to food. Came for lunch on a recommendation, and enjoyed a great meal on the chill outdoor patio. Food-wise, think Torchy's with an upgrade (not a diss to Torchy's) -- they're not trying to be a traditional Tex-Mex joint. Folks are right about the deliciousness of the chicken poblano tacos, but others were also winners. Guacamole appetizer was a nice complement (with 4 side salsas). The hibiscus-twisted "margaritas" were a nice change of pace (with a kick), but if I were eating here regularly, I'd miss the option of a more traditional (and less sweet) marg. Summary: if you're looking for a typical combination platter and endless chips, this is not your spot, but Ki' is a great vacation from the standard fare.

Yelp
Everything is great. Been eating here since it opened . My favs are poblano and chiquitibum tacos. Ask for them spicy. I just got the new seasonal salad with pears and pecans and it was 10/10 my new fav thing

Yelp
We were surprised that as a Mexican restaurant, this place didn't have margaritas or the normal liquidy queso and chips (the reason for taking away 1 star). We ordered the quesabrosa, which came with flour tortillas that we made little quesadillas with. Our server Mike brought us some chips when we asked; we liked the dip better with chips. For tacos, I got the poblano and chiquitibum. I liked the poblano best. Hubby got the bisté and cochinita. He liked the bisté best. He also got the chatanooga old fashioned, which he said was fine. Our service was phenomenal.

Yelp
Very cool spot!! Awesome vibes, live music, super friendly service.. and yummy food!! :) the salsa was sooooo good! And the nopal taco was a favorite as well. Definitely recommend this spot for a fun date night or to grab margaritas with friends and watch live music. So fun!!

Ayden L.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat! The chicken poblano tacos are phenomenal. Everything is always fresh- amazing. Everyone should experience Ki' Mexico. Everyone who works there is very helpful! The ambiance is relaxed and comfortable. 10/10!

Yelp
If you don't have money to blow, then this isn't the place for you to eat Mexican food. Prices are extraordinarily high, and portion sizes do not match. The food is good but not great and cannot be validated for how much everything cost. Advertised as a Mexican restaurant but could barely pass as Mexican fusion. Definitely its own category of food which is unique but don't go here thinking you're getting chips and salsa with your meal kind of Mexican restaurant. Try it for yourself and see how you like it, but personally I would not come back.
google avatar

Sam D.

Yelp
A higher end taco place. Recommend the biste and poblano tacos. They have other options as well but a must try for tacos. Staff is enthusiastic and helpful.

Yelp
Today we stopped in for lunch I had the THURSDAY special which were the BIRRIA TACOS and a lemonade with added hibiscus very enjoyable aesthetic for an outside dining area, the greenery is very fresh looking and the wind seems to always flow just right and due to the roofing you won't get hot. Our server was very kind and amazing and catering to our needs the food is always fresh and amazing and I highly recommend you stop by for a great outdoor lunch experience another 5 stars. And to add the owner is always there and he also is an amazing nice guy Thanks again guys!!!!!

Yelp
Please bring back the original Gringa!!!! The new one isn't nearly as good as the old one! We still love your place, but please bring back the original Gringa!

Yelp
Okay in Shreveport for work and a coworker suggested Ki' Mexico. The outdoor sitting in August was perfect they have shade and tons of fans. Margarita was excellent! And I caught happy hour. Now I did order the special so I can not testify to the tacos or any of the food on the menu. But the special was extraordinary! Would come back again if I was up here!

Yelp
Since just recently moving back to town after about five years away, we wanted to go to Mexican restaurant. I don't know how long this establishment has been here, but the place is amazing! The food was fantastic and there was plenty in our servings. Cameron was our server, and he is an absolute delight! He's very upbeat, really knows the menu, and just an all-around great person! The atmosphere and decor is laid-back and casual. The only downfall is the size of the chair. The style kind of wraps around your hips and if you're a woman over about a size 10, you have to sit at the front of the chair or have yourself squished. Definitely a place we will be returning to!

Yelp
Second time eating there and it won't be my last! I live in Tampa and now anytime I head to Shreveport, this will be my first stop.
google avatar

Theresa E.

Yelp
In my humble opinion: I arrived in between lunch and dinner, and yet the parking was full and there were several tables enjoying the outdoor seating. Warm and sunny the weather was amazing. Curb appeal was inviting but not amazing. The signage needs more pizzazz. Looks old and small and non-descript. I sat outside and was greeted by Kyle. I kinda thought he was cute. And he was easy to talk to. Answering my questions. Etc I ordered a Ghost in the machine. A beer that has a very deep citrusy (grapefruit) flavor. $6 - The Taco de Camarone ($6) was absolutely amazing. Best taco I've ever had. I'd give it 5 stars but when I was presented with it I was shocked and appalled at the size. Tiny little fellow. But I figured it was no different than a two taco plate at other places and honestly it was an amazing taco. All in all I will be back to try more and take friends and family to try it out too.

Yelp
Another restaurant recommended by coworkers. Great tacos, drink menu, and customer service! We will be back soon.

Pete Z.

Yelp
Best restaurant in town. I'll never get tired of their tacos and gringas. Try the daily soup, it's often fantastic! Don't expect endless free mediocre salsa and generic queso - it's a little different from the standard mexican places you find all over this area of the south - but it's absolutely fantastic. Can't recommend Ki enough.

Pelicanus C.

Yelp
Stopped in at happy hour for a quick meal. Service was good but the margarita tasted like cough syrup. Ordered chips and salsa and a couple of shrimp tacos. Shrimp was tough, tacos stale and could barely be cut with a knife. When I got the check I could hardly believe that the salsa for the chips was $8. I mean, seriously. Are we in north Louisiana or Dubai? On the plus side they do have adequate parking nearby. So, if you have deep pockets and like mediocre chow this is your place.

Yelp
Solid taco spot local to Shreveport. Located near the more hip part of town. Parking is available and pretty accessible. Service was initially slow but it was friendly once it got going. A few different tacos off of their menu was tried and a torta was also ordered. Enjoyed most of their tacos besides the fish taco; the pollo torta was good but just not my style with the heavy helping of the pickled veggies and queso fresco. Food quality is decent, only comment is that the prices there are a bit steep at the $5-6/taco range for street tacos compared to what I've ordered recently/used.

Yelp
I think we got carried away! We nearly ordered the entire menu and everything was amazing. Stopped in on a roadtrip and so glad we did. This restaurant could be anywhere in the country and be competitive! We were all really hungry and walked away so full and so happy. Our waiter, Mason, was an absolute doll. So kind and knowledgeable. There was music on the patio and everything came out very quickly and cooked to perfection. Queso with mushroom, guac and salsa, elote, and all kinds of tacos. My sister loved their giant Mexican Coke, and they had topo Chico too. We'll definitely be back whenever we pass through Shreveport! Thank y'all for a great meal and fun time.

Yelp
Tried this last night and loved it. We started with a queso that was ooey goey good. Not traditional but delicious and rich. I had a red snapper fish taco and a biste (sirloin beef) taco. All medium heat. Service was good and he helped us out as we were first timers. Place felt cozy and chill. Will go bad next time in town.

Yelp
The food was sooooo good. I'm not a corn version but the Elote might was phenomenal!!! Will definitely be back

Yelp
Notes: 1) been here a lot 2) pretty famous 3) great amount of space Pros: 1) really great service 2) food tastes really good 3) lots of seating and great ambiance 4) great daily specials Cons: 1) pretty packed usually 2) some specials are not it 3) not many menu items Rating: 5/5 Did not account for specials and smaller menu The reason this place is famous is pretty evident. The few food options are really good. The service has always been amazing. The ambiance and atmosphere is nice too. It usually is a more chill vibe but can be great for dates and such with the outside seating. I had tried most of the tacos and it's pretty good for the most part. I don't usually get the tacos as I don't really think the price is worth it. Don't get me wrong, the tacos were amazing. The poblano and chinchito tacos were great. The cream of the poblano was amazing and added a lot of amazing flavor to the meat. The chinchito was spicy but it was worth the kick. The mushroom taco was pretty tasty for being purely vegetarian. My favorite is definitely the aquacate. What a sándwich! It's really nice and the flavors blend so well together. Oh man. I dream of it. The chicken aquacate is good too but doesn't really add much to the already amazing sandwich. The salmon tostada is pretty good too but I think that it's not worth the cost. The dips appetizer was okay. Not better than other places. For the dailies, the ramen is hit or miss. For the 15 dollar (old price), it wasn't worth it. The birria is pretty worth it. It's only Thursdays I believe and it's great. I have not had the hamburgers on Wednesday but they look good. There's a few other dailies but I haven't had those. Overall, it's a must go and must try in Shreveport. Like for real, go now. At the time of writing this, there may not be electricity but still go anyways cause why not.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in to get the burger here, but they only serve them on Wednesdays, so I guess I'll be back next Wednesday. I did get the special of the day Bierria tacos. They were amazing crispy, not as soaked in consomé as I like them but still good. Service is pretty good there. I've had a bad experience in a lot of restaurants here in Shreveport Bossier area but this was good. I love the ambience there and I think it would be great during spring or winter when it's not so hot and I can sit on the patio. Great decor, upscale Mexican, gourmet food.

Yelp
Im writing this in the point of view of the chip that i saw fall to the ground and get stepped on 6 times. My average, room temperature, store bought, self sat in the basket just chilling comfortably, with my brethren until i suddenly fell out of my basket. Shocked that the server had dropped me out of my basket from his immaculate speed, i was taken aback. Laying on this sad floor i watched as everyone walked by me, but to my surprise there was barely any service. 10 minutes go by and thankfully nobody stepped on me yet. Still no service for this one table and asking what this one table wanted to drink, such a pity might i add. Finally i see a human approaching, WE GOT SERVICE! Only were they asked what they wanted to drink, after that the waitress left not asking if they wanted to order their actual food. Another 10 minutes go by, she comes back with the drinks. she left. 10 more minutes shes back. She finally asks what they wanted. Sounded like a pretty average order. As i waited within another 30 minutes, I GOT STEPPED ON. Not once. Not twice. THREE TIMES. A devastating tragedy struck as i shattered into pieces. After those 30 minutes they had received their appetizer. Even though i was just a sad chip it looked greasy and not good. This one girl was eating it and grease got everywhere. No napkins even in sight and no waiter either. Another 10 minutes and i get bored on but thankfully another different waiter gave them napkins. Still no actual food yet. I thought about how different my life wouldve been as i sat on the floor, watching the other people around me. I heard about some of the other people complain but i payed no mind to it. They received their food taking 5 seconds to eat and devour the meal and payed the bill. All three of them stepped on me shattering my heart even more as i am forever stuck in this wanna be mexican place. The food was apparently very greasy and leaves a coating on your mouth.

Yelp
Love Ki' Mexico's specialty fusion tacos! Each is packed with various combinations of delicious fillings not found in the usual Tex-Mex/Mexican restaurants. The make multiple flavorful salsas to pair with your tacos, from mild to very hot. Our server was very friendly. He answered our questions and told us about other dishes and even an upcoming "Asian noodle night," which sounded interesting. The restaurant was clean and the music was pleasant. It has a fun, quirky, casual decor that looks like it could easily be located in Mexico. We will be back!
google avatar

Tammy L.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing food. We had the guacamole, poblano and chichi something tacos, then split a seasonal flan. We love this place. Our waiter Dani is great. She checked on us regularly, kept our drinks coming and made great recommendations. We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Nichole O.

Yelp
I have a food allergy and the staff was so amazing for one not making fun of me and for the care take in preparing my meal. I will go back. The flavor and fresh of the ingredients used were very filling.

Laura E.

Yelp
Great place to visit if you w at your table and wait 10 minutes to place an order and get water that tastes weird.

Yelp
We met for our Bookclub meeting at Ki'Mexico and everyone was well pleased with our meals and the great service we received. I give it 5 stars out of 5 stars! Excellent!

Yelp
I was so impressed that I drove an hour to Shreveport just to go back... And, to be honest, I hate Shreveport. This place is incredible For anywhere, and even more so in North Louisiana.

Yelp
This place is really good! The outdoor seating is really good and they have great tacos. Lots of vegetarian options. The server was nice and able to explain the menu to my older friend. Would totally recipe d for anyone that likes street tacos or if you're into ramen go on a Tuesday!

Yelp

Yelp
I was home in Shreveport for Memorial Day weekend and it was Taco Tuesdayyyyy! So I headed up to Ki Mexico Soul Food! The reviews of this place are great so I had to try it. Started off with the Calaverita. Their happy hour is from 4-7 and the drink was $3.00 off. Hibiscus, tequila, a lemon slice. What more do you need? It was very refreshing. I had three tacos: the poblano, bisté and cochinita. My fave of the three was poblano. I got frijoles prietos. Everything was well seasoned and flavorful. This place was a pleasant surprise. The service was quick and friendly and the music and atmosphere was great. However, I wish there was more booth seating. Where I was located felt like it was a little too close to the front door. It's in a plaza so there was more than enough parking and I will definitely come back. They do ramen on Tuesdays which is very cool so I want to try that!

Rutuja J.

Yelp
This is my personal favorite place in the town. Yum tacos, flan and live music make the ambience a fun place! Quick service to your table and kind staff.

Pamela H.

Yelp
I ordered one Gringa taco at $5.96 and one Biste taco at $5.73 and I was charged $15.08 on my credit card. A coworker ordered the same items and received rice and beans with their order and paid $12 and some change. The 1 star rating is the lowest that I can give. I felt scamed with this purchase I made at Ki'Mexico, 3829 Gilbert Dr, Shreveport, LA 71104 and will file a complaint with the BBB and forward receipt. Pamela H.

Yelp
Awesome setup, good service, good drinks, Birria Tacos were excellent! We had a party of 11, mostly kids under 10 and they handled without batting an eye.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was great, my mom enjoyed it and she is a pretty hard gal to please. The atmosphere was fun and our server Emma was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave great service. The Calverita drink is sooooo good!!!

Yelp
OMG, best tacos anywhere. 3 different vegetarian options. Hibiscus tea, crazy awesome amazingness. Great servers that are helpful, friendly and know their stuff.

Yelp
This place is absolutely awesome!!! Service is very friendly and timely. They have outdoor seating, always a plus! Just don't forget your mosquito repellent spray... There was live music playing on a Thursday night which was a nice touch :) The food is super delish!! The tacos are especially mouthwatering. I'm craving one as I write this... each was made to perfection. The grilled redfish taco was light but still flavorful while the poblano was creamy and filling. Both great in their own way. The best part was the dessert. Was kinda on the fence about trying the raspberry flan, but so glad I did! It is heavenly. You have got to give it a try! I will definitely be coming back here. Can't wait!!

Yelp
My 2nd time here , and it's just as great as it was a few years ago. This time we sat inside , which I had never seen before , and WOW did I love it. Our server was very friendly , fast, and efficient. The food was out of this world. The Guac and Street Corn were outstanding. The tacos were mouth watering good. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
great food great service but keep in mind it's per taco and it can get expensive before you realize it, but the food makes it worth it.

Emma P.

Yelp
Fish tacos and drinks were delicious! Food was awesome and there was live music, but I wish the live music had been a little bit less loud.
