We feel so lucky that we were able to get Kim Sing Theatre for our wedding this past month! Melissa was a joy to work with from the beginning to the end, always prompt with responses and never kept us guessing on any of the wild road blocks that wedding planning comes with. They were flexible with our budget and helped us every step of the way, and the team really helped us make our wedding day as perfect as it could be. Karina was our day of manager and also super helpful, she checked in on us throughout the day and even helped us look for a lost phone we eventually found! The best part was being able to stay the night before and the night after, which made it so much easier to prepare and then unwind from the wedding! Can't thank KST enough, we had an amazing time!

If you're looking for a very cool, hidden gem of a venue in Los Angeles, book the Kim Sing Theatre. Kim Sing is exactly what we were looking for: a space with a lot of character and several distinct indoor / outdoor areas for our guests. We had a party for about 100 guests, and so many of them commented on how much they really loved the venue. Kim Sing is somehow hip but not pretentious, which was exactly the energy that we wanted. The staff is great too. Melissa worked with us and answered every question we had prior to the event (and we had a lot), and the on-site manager was also fantastic and easy to work with. Even the vendors that they recommended were excellent. It's hard to find an affordable spot in L.A. to throw a big event, but we're grateful that we found Kim Sing! Highly recommend!

Great little event space. Easy street parking. Corner building, lots of privacy. Indoor and outdoor space.

Google
i’m actually super disappointed that this business is in a struggling neighborhood. across from the building we have MULTIPLE street lamps making that corner extremely dark. they’re all off!! you’re telling me a business in chinatown can’t take 5 minutes from their day take a look outside at 5pm when it’s dark and make a report. why does everything fall on my hands? you know heck well residents here don’t know how to use smart phones. yet you too neglect the area you’re in benefiting from thousands of dollars through events. take accountability and just do the right thing help out the area you’re located in. all it takes is 5 minutes 311 is free

I heard about Kim Sing Theatre from my friend who threw her office holiday party here so thought it could be a great place for my bachelorette party. It literally could not have been better!!! We had ample room to sleep (no one had to sleep on any couches even though they were actually super comfy) and there was plenty of room to dance! My MOH even surprised us in the morning with a crepe chef who made us custom crepes and they also had tons of space to cook and even show us how to make crepes. All in all it was an amazing bachelorette and the venue was no small part of that. 10/10 would recommend!!!

My 9 month old reservation was cancelled with merely 2 weeks notice, leaving me scrambling at the last minute. They blamed LA ordinance laws, but continued to host guests after my booked date. They also stopped responding to my emails and calls. I'd recommend everyone stay away from this disaster of a company.

We stayed for a few days with some ladies for a conference downtown. It was flawless and incredibly fun.

Spent a wonderful night here, attending an unforgettable birthday party! The space is welcoming and unique, from the pillow-filled meditation yurt to the custom neon sign. Highly recommended!

Yelp
My friend had an even at the Kim Sing Theatre and I had a good time. The first time I noticed was that her event was advertised on the sign which I thought was really kool. The space alone is really big and also nice and I would highly recommend it and here's why. 1. The Kim Sing Theatre is a space and I believe it is a space nice enough for you to have your event. You are able to personalize the event to make it come alive and to look and feel like however you like. 2. Changing Room - the Changing room was very big and the bathroom in the changing room was also BIG. In the the bathroom is a craved out space for a closet and it was big enough to place 30 dresses and at least 20 pairs of shoes. 3. Private Room - In this private room my friend chose to serve the party food from here. Because it was so dark I can really tell you what the room is meant for but you have a room. Overall my girlfriend's 40th birthday party was fantastic and I had a lovely time and happy she chose the Kim Sing Theater for her event.

Yelp
We had our wedding at Kim Sing Theater, and we had a lovely experience! The venue provides great character but also allows you the freedom to set up exactly how you like. We worked with Melissa Wever, and she was so responsive and so easy to work with. We had two walk thrus prior to our wedding to plan, and Melissa answered all our questions and even gave recommendations that really helped us with planning. Karina Kraeva was our day of, on-site manager, and she amazing and super responsive as well! Our guests had so many great things to say about the event space!

Yelp
We had our wedding at the Kim Sing Theatre in Aug 2021, and we are so glad that we chose this venue! We loved that we were able to really utilize the whole venue - the outdoor courtyard was beautiful and perfect for our ceremony and reception, and our guests enjoyed spending time in the various rooms and spaces indoors. The Kim Sing Theatre is super unique with the vines on brick wall, beautiful plants, and modern furnishings, and the indoor and outdoor spaces really allow for a lot of creativity and possibilities! We worked with Melissa leading up to our wedding, and she was very helpful and responsive to all of our questions and concerns.

Yelp
One of LA's most unique places to host an event and provide a once in a lifetime experience in a hidden and tucked away place on the fringes of downtown. Looking forward to once again visiting this theater.

Yelp
We had our wedding here 10/10/2020! This venue was perfect for my husband & I. It's such a hidden gem. It's unique, modern & chic. Covid complicated things to say the least but KST was flexible, which we appreciated. Mona was our final contact person & she was great. She answered all of our questions & the day of our wedding everything we needed was provided. We were in our own little paradise. Our wedding was beautiful, it was everything we could've asked for and more. Thank you for helping us celebrate our love!

Yelp
My fiance and I toured this venue a few weeks ago. It's everything the pictures show - spacious, modern and colourful. We mentioned the negative reviews to the person who gave us the tour, and they assured us that the day of coordinator that is mentioned in the negative reviews no longer works at the venue. However, this negative review is based off of general shadiness and not great business practices. Generally venues do first holds and should prioritise on a first come, first serve basis for potential clients, and if there is another serious inquiry, you're generally given a courtesy 24 hours to sign your contract. However our date was given away within less than 12 hours without a 24 hour courtesy! They had sent us a contract prior and we were reviewing it and asking for some amendments, then they e-mailed us today that there was another serious inquiry for our date and then told us 12 hours later that the other couple had signed for it. This is a sign to me that ultimately they only care about money and themselves, but it was honestly for the best! I would book Kim Sing Theater with great caution and discernment! Make sure you follow up on fees in the contract - they will charge you to move furniture and they will charge you for going over time. They've got an amazing space but need better ownership/management.

Yelp
DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE! FIND ANOTHER ONE! I'm glad to see that I am the first Yelp review for KST for 2022. May this be a RED FLAG to all of you brides, vendors, families and etc.! My husband and I got married on the long-awaited Twosday, 2.22.22, and my day was PERFECT thanks to my vendors and wedding planning squad. ZERO thanks to the venue, outside of its aesthetic beauty. In your contract with this venue, you have to pay for a site manager the day of your event and you pay that person $45/hour for 12 hours to help with maintenance of the property during the event, throwing out trash, refilling toilet paper and etc. Our onsite manager that day, Victoria, was ZERO help. My wedding coordinator had to go to her office, which is at the very front of the venue, constantly that day to let her know what they needed. Thank God ALL my vendors worked together and were throwing away trash and helping keep the place restocked because Victoria sure wasn't. And one of the few times she DID help with restocking, here is the icing on the cake, she brought towels, not paper towels, to restock the bathrooms. I understand the aesthetic appeal of the place with it having bedrooms and such, but we are still in the midst of a pandemic! I worked extra hard to hire someone to check negative COVID tests before all of my guests entered the venue for our wedding. Now why in the hell, for any event, would you provide towels for multiple people to wipe their hands?? We're almost in year 3 of this pandemic! Wow. FEES FEES FEES! This venue LOVES to charge fees for EVERYTHING! I had to advocate for myself a LOT within the process of planning my wedding at this venue. I was told by Victoria that there was a flat fee of $200 to move furniture within the venue and that was fine with me. But as we got closer to the wedding date, she told me there was a $200 flat rate moving fee and then there was another $200 fee to move the dining room table (that was in the same room as the furniture I wanted to move). This made zero sense to me. Flat rate fee means flat rate fee. I would understand if this table was 500 pounds, upstairs and on the opposite side of the building, but it wasn't. It was literally 2 feet away from the other furniture I wanted moved. They don't have a list of set fees for the venue, by the way, so I'm not sure if these fees change per client/event. I asked to have that added $200 fee waived because, in my opinion, this fee wasn't fair and didn't make any sense. I ended up getting it waived, thankfully, but that whole conversation shouldn't have had to happen. This venue has a 12 hour maximum for your event, but if you need to extend your event, like I did, for 2 hours...You'll need to pay $450/hour plus the onsite manager fee, $45/hour, so I ended up paying $990 to extend my event in order to make sure my vendors had enough time to pack up and leave. I was fine with that though because I was certain I would get my $1,000.00 security deposit back! WRONG!! Pay attention to these other negative reviews when they tell you you can KISS YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT GOODBYE WHEN YOU BOOK THIS VENUE! They will find ANY way to take your security deposit away, even if that means making things up! My wedding was featured on a tv show, therefore, we had a production crew at our wedding. This production crew visited the venue and signed an agreement with the venue for our wedding that included the details of that day and all that the crew would do/participate in. This agreement was between production and KST. As we were packing up at the end of my reception, Victoria came up to me and told me that the owner (who I've never met or seen), was upset about the "impact" (not sure what this even means within the context of any event) of the crew that was at the event and that the terms of the contract were violated and that they were going to have to charge production and/or me a fee because of the scale of production. They said they would normally charge $2,500-$3,000 for having production onsite, but since it was my wedding (how nice) they would reduce the charge to $1,000. How CONVENIENT. The exact amount of my security deposit.  My contract with the venue had nothing to do with this show. Production and the venue had an agreement, one that did not mention fees, but that DID mention the terms of the agreement that were all followed. So charging fees AFTER my event was wrong and AGAINST BOTH CONTRACTS! They took my security deposit due to something that was NOT signed by me and had nothing to do with me. Deciding what I do with my security deposit is not okay and taking my money without any explanation isn't either. Did I get a response to my email? No. Will I? I doubt it. Look at the other negative reviews, this is a CONSISTENT THEME! They don't handle conflict well and they do not follow-up and try to settle things in a professional way after they get your money. You are ignored. Hire good people, ya'll. It makes a difference. Peace & love.

Yelp
UPDATE: I am updating the review as the owner of Kim Sing reached out to apologize for the trouble I had to endure on my wedding day with the onsite manager. The owner was apologetic and I am content with the owner's response. Additionally, the owner assured me that he would take full responsibility to ensure that they will not let this happen to other clients in the future. Therefore, I've decided to up the review to 3 stars from 1 star. Below is the original content 5-star rating for Amazing Sales Manager. Negative 100 stars for the Horrible Onsite manager = 1 star here. I should've read the negative reviews on Yelp before choosing Kim Sing out of 40 vendors that I was negotiating with. For anyone who wants to have their wedding here. Please expect to have terrible customer service onsite, and need to clean after yourself (even you paid $$$ for the cleaning fee). I would not recommend people having weddings or special events there unless you can tolerate dealing with a grumpy onsite manager. We just recently had our wedding there and the experience was terrible. The place was not ready when we arrived at the time we were supposed to. We waited 40min+ in the courtyard while they were cleaning. Onsite Manager, Leah Davis was rude and cold. She wanted us out way before the event time was over. She threatened my guests that she is gonna charge us $600 if our event go over by 1 min. Around 9 pm, She started harassing my family members by saying all the nasty things. As result, we had to end our event early and get everybody out of the venue around 9:20 pm. After we cleaned the place and said goodbye to all my guests, she even told me directly at 9:57 pm that she should've been home by now. Additionally, We were also told that we had to clean the place, take the trash out when we were there. We paid for the venue for 7 hours, but we ended up spending 1.5 waiting plus cleaning. How come this was not mentioned in the contract? How come a delayed start didn't count towards extending our hours? I would've given this venue a 5 stars rating had the onsite experience was just as great as the Sales Manager provided to us. I have told the Sales Manager about it and obviously, I got no compensation or direct apology from the on-site manager. I would really like to talk to her boss about how unprofessional she is. Thank you all for reading

Yelp
Echoing others here - this venue, which could have been awesome, ended up being a total fail thanks, primarily, to poor management. Coming into the process of planning an event at the theatre we were as informed as any customer could expect to be but, despite our efforts to be incredibly upfront and thorough, we were met with a series of inconsistent communications, unhelpful responses, and astoundingly rude engagement from the site manager. Before/during/and after our event the site manager contradicted her own contract, was unwilling to partner effectively to resolve glaring issues, and was obviously trying to unfairly squeeze every single penny out of an event that was already costing us $20K. Note to potential clients: you should go ahead and kiss that security deposit goodbye - we spent an entire day aggressively cleaning the place after our event (it was in better shape than how we found it) and still got hammered for absolute nonsense. Said rude site manager even hung around DURING the event (despite forcing us to also hire an unnecessary and expensive security guard to watch over the whole thing) and basically scowled at guests for doing things that, per our dozens of prior conversations and written agreements, were absolutely fine. Her presence was incredibly distracting and unhelpful but also a great representation of her disposition throughout the entire process - wholly unpleasant. For those considering this site as a venue - I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Yelp
BIG MISTAKE. HUGE. I WISH I KNEW THIS BEFORE I HAD MY WEDDING HERE. I am deeply disappointed and saddened by my experience with Kim Sing Theatre. Not only did they contradict what was in their own contract, but they took money from us without doing a proper walkthrough and completely ignored us when we tried to resolve these issues. It was a nightmare from beginning to end. Because I have years of experience in event design and production, I was very thorough upon our first visit. I asked relevant questions about what could and could not be moved (and the costs associated with those maneuvers) and made sure to note what was needed from each vendor (i.e. did we need to use an approved vendor? How much insurance was required for one night? etc.). I also had very minimal intentions for the space, since I had already fallen in love with the red sunken couch area and thought every room was perfect as is. What ended up happening was a series of inconsistent communications, incredibly rude interactions and outright disappointments that ultimately soured a meaningful life event. Following our wedding, Katie Slovon, the supposed site manager, took $350 from our deposit for not having everything shut down and off the premises at midnight. That is NOT what we were told MULTIPLE TIMES during our several thorough walkthroughs. She kept telling us, "Well, your event is over by 12, with the DJ and bar, but people can hang out until 1 am, as long as the music is off." She made us feel like everything we wanted was fine. She even suggested we have some extra snacks and bottles of wine for those that stuck around. As I was announcing that the DJ and bar were finished but "everyone should feel free to hang out for a bit," I was nearly tackled by my siblings to tell everyone they had to leave immediately. It came as a shock since she told us people could stay until 1 am. Had I known about this I would have started my event one hour earlier, but due to her poor communication, she denied me the opportunity to troubleshoot something like this. What I found out, after the fact, truly upset me. It turns out that Katie was furiously texting my family members while she stood with a giant scowl on her face at the entrance of the property. Additionally, she mentioned to my bar vendor she "knew nothing about the In-N-Out truck coming" and was frantically shuffling around, repeating to people who were simply trying to enjoy the evening that she "HAD NO IDEA". The truth is, it was required to get a COI and signed contract from each vendor prior to the wedding, which of course we provided. I had even made a map showing them where to park. Additionally, there was a walkthrough a few weeks before with Katie to discuss this very issue. And yet she "had no idea." Kim Sing also took out the red sunken living room and replaced it with clearance furniture from CB2 and acted like it was the same thing. They did this a few months before the wedding and told us they wouldn't be comping us for anything. In my mind, that was area I didn't have to touch or decorate but now, just months before the wedding I was trying to figure out how to get the same look without spending an extra $5,000 on furniture rentals. It was a nearly impossible feat that the venue wasn't in the least bit apologetic about (during our negotiations, the sunken living room was still splashed across their website and social media channels). We were also told at our first walkthrough that we were required to have a security guard. On our second walkthrough Katie told us that, "Oh no, you aren't required to have one, but I can suggest someone." The security guard they suggested was $250 for the night. He stood there doing absolutely nothing and was IN FRONT OF MY FATHER in line for food. We kicked several people out who had just wandered into venue, plus a bunch of random people who got in line to get free food. As if the above wasn't enough money for them (and, really, it should have been), they took $50 from our deposit for "ruining a pillow." (Keep in mind when we left the venue, it was spotless. Their cleaning team even commented on how nice it looked.) A photo that Katie took of this "ruined pillow" was sent to us 2 WEEKS AFTER our event. 2 weeks of OTHER events had passed and she never did a walkthrough with us. When I asked them to prove this was from our event, they never wrote back. It is honestly the most unprofessional venue I have ever worked with and Katie is someone who has no business overseeing such an important life event. I am so embarrassed that my own family members were put through this on what was supposed to be an amazing night. I wish I had video footage of Katie's nasty scowl during the entire night, but I will have to settle for a video my best friend took of Katie slamming the door in my friend's face. What a great $20,000 memory.

Yelp
Fantastic venue. My wife and I booked the Good Idea! space for her baby shower via PeerSpace. Katie, the host, was very prompt to reply to all my questions and was very friendly. We booked the venue for a Saturday, so there was no concierge to greet us. However, the instructions on how to access and unlock the venue where simple and straightforward. The space was a little smaller than I thought, but all the furniture and decor made it easier for us to host an event. Would book this place again for small gatherings. Parking was fairly easy around the neighborhood.

Yelp
I recently had my birthday party here with about 80 people and I couldn't have picked a more spectacular place !! Everything was perfect! It's an amazing venue with an incredible indoor/outdoor flow. Besides a large indoor and outdoor space there are multiple bedrooms, lofts and bathrooms for those that want to be "away" from the party if they want to be. Everyone that I hired through the venue, ( security and valet ) were great too ! Katie was fantastic in working within my budget and both she and the venue met my every expectation. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone and hopefully I'll be able to have another event here ! AMAZING !!!!!

Yelp
The event space was nice, but not worth it in the end when dealing with the "management." I feel this space is only good for smaller events with a small guest list--which is totally ok but should be prefaced before renting it out for a large wedding or event with a lot of people. If holding an even here I would recommend: a day of coordinator (they don't require one but if you don't have one the "manager" will text you non-stop), writing down all agreed upon terms for the event (they seem to like to change their terms throughout the event), and don't bother spending time cleaning very well as there is no formal walkthrough with management afterwards. There is a complete lack of professionalism and would not recommend to have an event here. I have had about 10 years of customer service management experience and I think the so appointed "site manager" Katie could use a few courses in it. Her interaction with the guests and the ones holding the event was astounding. She has absolutely no problem solving skills and acted like she was hearing all event requests (i.e a food truck coming to the event) on the day of the event when she in fact had prior knowledge of everything that was happening. She did not set up any blocking cones for a food truck, which she told me she usually blocks off an appropriate space and when the food truck arrived she was utterly useless in finding a solution to the problem. If you make a mistake I would understand but own up to it; she acted like nothing was her fault. At the end of the event when we worked hard on getting everyone out on time and the manager shut the door in our guests faces making rude remarks -as she was "tired" and wanted to go home. They don't seem to have any respect or regard for someone renting the space out for 3 days unless you are of some "celebrity" stature.

Yelp
SKIP KIM SING. You always hear that your wedding day is the happiest day of your life. But Kim Sing Theatre nearly turned our wedding day into a complete and utter nightmare. Do not book with them for any reason whatsoever. They are the worst. The reason that we went with Kim Sing initially is that Katie Slovon, the site manager, had a laissez-faire attitude about just about everything. It wasn't that she didn't care, but rather that she appeared to be flexible with both the time and the space. She said that we had to kick the DJ and bartenders out by midnight, but that we could still mingle at the venue, suggesting we could still have snacks and wine and a small speaker playing music from an iPhone. But little by little, as the months rolled on, she started restricting the freedom and reducing the rights and her communication skills went from bad to worse, culminating in a wedding night that had Katie Slovon sulking around, sending rude and abusive texts to family members, and then physically removing guests at the end of the night. (Seriously, she was pushing people out the door and shutting gates in their faces.) It was horrifying, made all the worse by the fact that we were staying in the venue for two nights (the night of the wedding and the night before). I'm pretty sure if you have somebody over to your room after midnight, the staff of the Holiday Inn doesn't force your guests to leave. But they did at Kim Sing. Among the many other problems we faced with this venue, which prides itself on its cool vibe and outsider-y ethos, was the complete removal of a sunken living room feature that was one of the venue's chief selling points. At no point in our several walkthroughs and countless emails with them did they ever say that the pit was going to be removed. And yet, a few weeks before our wedding, they took it out entirely. When we told friends about this, they likened it to getting married at a farm or barn and picking out the tree that your ceremony would be conducted under, only to be told that the tree was removed right before your reception. It's callous and unthinkable and their "workaround" was to put some very dismal furniture pieces in the same space. They then protested when we asked for the furniture to be removed. Because of course they did. THIS IS HOW THEY ROLL. Argumentative, uncaring, and only in it for the money, the problem started with Katie Slovon, who beyond being an absolute raincloud on our beautiful day, stated that she didn't know about the food truck we had hired (she did) and made us pay for a worthless security guard who allowed people to enter the venue and get in line for food without stopping anyone (he was also in line for food ahead of my bride's father). In early walkthroughs she said it wouldn't be a problem if we had our dog at the ceremony. Then, days before, she said that she didn't want the dog there because she wanted to keep the venue "pure from allergies" (okay). When we left the venue the morning after the wedding, looking better than when we had gotten there two days before, Katie was nowhere to be found. There was no walkthrough, no thank you, no nothing. Instead, we got an email several weeks later saying that we had ruined a pillow and that we would be charged $50, even though there was no way of verifying when the photo was taken and there were a number of events that the space hosted in between our wedding and when the email was delivered. She also charged us an "overtime" fee even though a) she made sure everybody was out by midnight (via slamming gates) and b) we were staying there that night. Again, does the Holiday Inn charge an "overtime" fee for going to bed too late? Our wedding really was the happiest day of our lives but thinking about the way we were treated by Katie Slovon and the team at Kim Sing really does a lot to dampen that happiness. Their unprofessionalism often bordered on cruelty and booking anything there means that you're taking what should be a wonderful event and putting them in the hands of people whose only concern is the contents of your wallet. They should be ashamed of themselves. Drew Taylor

Yelp
Awesome venue! I hosted an opening night party for my festival here and loved the space. The team was easy to work with, and loved that I could bring in my own catering team. Attendees had never been to the space before and were blown away by how cool it was. Super unique and beautiful venue!

Yelp
This was the most unique venue for a wedding. Our guests kept telling us how beautiful and fun the space was. For our small wedding of 70 people it was perfect! Our liaison Katie was super helpful and made the process easy and stress-free. It was so special to see our name up on the marquee for our special day. Affordable, unique, beautiful, and friendly would 100% recommend the Kim Sing Theatre for any event!

Yelp
This venue is absolutely perfect for any size event or gathering. We used it for many things over the course of our wedding week. We stayed there, we got ready there, and we hosted our family brunch after the wedding. Our family & friends adored it, and the accommodations were PERFECT! The team running it is exceptional & attentive as well! I would recommend this space to anyone who wants to add a little extra wow factor to their next event.

Yelp
I went to a product launch event here and this is definitely a cool venue. It used to be an old theater that showed Chinese Films but has since been converted into a venue space. They chopped out part of the ceiling of the building so that there is an open air courtyard which makes for a cool space to have an event out as there are now indoor and outdoor areas to host your event. The way it was setup for the event there was catering in the corner by with food and drinks and then the rest of the courtyard was left to the guests so they could mingle and watch product demonstrations that had were being projected on to a screen. The indoor space has a feeling a really cool artist loft, complete with a full kitchen, should you need to cook? This space would make for a really cool house. The only drawback to this venue when I was there was that the A/C seemed inadequate with all of the guests inside and it got quite warm in the indoor space. The outside courtyard remained relatively cool. Other than that great place, very cool venue spot!

Yelp
Attended two events here - one large event with 150+ people, and one smaller with only about 30. Both events were so much fun! The space was clean and comfortable and had a real house party vibe, disguised behind what looks like an old theater from the outside. Spent the night as well after the smaller party, and felt super safe and comfortable. Loved the little loft areas / hideouts as well for hanging out, relaxing and chatting when I wanted to take a break from the main event. Such a great event space!

Yelp
Spent a wonderful night here, attending an unforgettable birthday party! The space is welcoming and unique, from the pillow-filled meditation yurt to the custom neon sign. Highly recommended!

Yelp
What a cool place! Went here for a friend's birthday party and we had the best time. The decor is fun, the house (a converted theater) is awesome to explore - lots of room with tons of nooks and crannies to explore but never feeling overwhelmed. The space has a great vibe and is extremely well maintained.

Yelp
I held my company holiday party at Kim Sing this year. What an absolutely great choice I made! ;) From the insanely gorgeous venue (which was perfect for our 150 person party) to the communication throughout the booking/planning process- KS rocked our worlds!

Yelp
I produced an event here and it couldn't have gone better. The staff was responsive and accommodating throughout the planning and on the day of. I would highly recommend to anyone throwing a production or event!

Yelp
Definitely one of the most interesting venues I've ever been in. Everything about the Kim Sing Theatre is intriguing- the history, the modern renovation, the events that they hold, etc. I've been to a couple events here and it's always a good time. With its large open courtyard and loft-like interior, they probably fit 300-400 people at the last event I went to. If you haven't had the chance to go, definitely try to drop by the next time there's an event. They also have private showings if you plan on renting the space out.

Yelp
Hosted my birthday party here this year to much success. Such a gem of a venue! The entire staff was super helpful and communicative with all of my planning needs. The custom marquee sign was also a nice touch!

Yelp
Great venue tucked away in an easy to reach location! Staff were very helpful and the venue is really quirky. A real home away from home feel and works with small or large groups.

Yelp
This venue is pretty amazing. I went for a launch party here and the ambiance it sets for such events is mellow yet exciting. There's an outdoor patio area that was great for the live band, DJ, and photobooth set up. It wasn't too small but not too big. Just right.

Yelp
I've been to 2 Ford & Ching events here over the past year and the juxtaposition of F & C's stellar American contemporary craft design and the re-use of the Kim Sing into a showroom and retail space could not be a more perfect marriage. The courtyard area is also very inviting and a nice respite from the gritty, edge of Chinatown milieu. I like this mucho...

Yelp
This is an amazing venue! The space is modern and sophisticated, and would be an unforgettable setting for any number of events. The event I attended here was rather large, yet everyone seemed comfortable - there was ample room for the whole group. I plan to recommend this venue to a close friend for an upcoming wedding and reception.

Yelp
The atmosphere, as well as the staff, at the King Sing Theatre is fun and welcoming. It is a unique environment that you need to experience in order to explain. No matter what event you attend, you will have a great time!

Yelp
I have been to a couple of events here and each one has never been a drag. Unlike a typical venue (cheap florescent lights, cream colored folding chairs and cheap laminate dance floor) the Kim Sing Theater has great architectural details such as floor to ceiling windows, modern concrete floors and just good bones. Whether a night time party or a daytime BBQ, this place can accommodate.
