This was our second time going and it was just as good as the first. The food is very tasty and the staff is super friendly. Hands-down, the best Korean barbecue in the South Bay and Peninsula. Make sure to get the Bibimbap in the stone plate as it’s a winner every time.

WOW Their meat are top PREMIUM quality, not even comparable to what I get from ayce places. Even their dishes look so fancy :) We got the premium combo for $146 or 148 (I forgot already :D) and it was enough for 4 of us. The owner cooked all the meat for us, refilled the banchans twice, and was super friendly. I would go back for sure. Totally recommended! 👍👍

My wife and I are trying Kim's for the first time. We love it. The quality of meet it fantastic and the service is too. The owner came over an cooked for us. Very nice man. We talked about were to go in Korea. Th8s place is worth a try if your looking for great Korean BBQ.

Kim’s Korean BBQ is the only Korean BBQ restaurant in Rolling Hills. While it is expected to get smelly in the BBQ restaurant, at least the dining room is bright and clean. Servers might not be super friendly, but they are accommodating and efficient. Price is reasonable in the area. Highly recommend the flavorful Bone-In Short Rib Soup (US$ 22) and tasty Hot Stone Bi Bim Bap (US$ 24).

The worst service ever. They let you wait 7-8 minutes without telling you what to do even the tables were available and they were aware of us wating. They were short of staff, and when it became super busy, they seemed to be busy for letting them in, instead of taking care of people at the table dining. Once they put the meat on the grill, no one take care of it. We called the staff for a few times but they just passed by. Meat was over cooked and I started to cook myself, but it was already burned to be crispy. This is not a place for 'cook your own', and not reason we came for. If you know Korean BBQ well, you could tell how bad the service was. We came out without finishing the dishes. We felt so ignored. The food quality was fine. However, all the bad services made food taste to fail. I am local just a block away from the restaurant. It was not a first time here, and we were revisiting. So sad to have this experience at the neighboring place makes me not to visit again.

So, I'm really picky when it comes to food and the last Korean BBQ place I went to made me not want to get Korean BBQ anymore. But we tried this place and it was excellent. The meats were good quality and tasty. They had just the right sauces and salts, and came around to help us organize and cook the meats. The side dishes were so good and when they ran low, the owners would fill them up again so we were never low on sides. Three bowls of rice was just enough for three people. We ordered the $88 meal which was plenty for three of us and would have been good for four. Will definitely go again.

Great new traditional Korean barbecue located near Bristol Farms. Excellent food quality with friendly helpful service. If you're a fan of good Korean barbecue, you will enjoy this place, if you have never tried it and are intimidated, don't be afraid to ask questions as they are extremely helpful. It's not cheap but either is the quality of the food. They did not seem to have a lunch menu or any lunch specials. Take a look at the pictures of the menu I posted to avoid sticker shock once you arrive. Shop and support local!!!

Been here quite a few times when visiting family. Food is really good, service folks are very nice however service can be slow at times. Worse problems in life, but something to be mindful of. This review includes the Banchan, Be Bim Bap, Soft Tofu Soup and bbq chicken. Yum!

The meat quality is pretty mid, and the banchan is on the bland side. Overall, the flavors feel geared more toward a Western crowd, which makes the experience less satisfying if you're looking for more traditional KBBQ. It's an okay option, comparable to Gen or similar AYCE spots, but since this place is à la carte/combo-based, the value doesn't quite match the quality. Service is average: not bad, not great, just fine. Overall, it's a decent choice if you're already in the area, but there are definitely better KBBQ options elsewhere.

Fantastic Korean BBQ. Service is prompt and professional. Food is really well presented and prepared. The ambiance is great. This is where my family likes to go for a great quick treat!!

Staff were friendly and patient. We ordered the stone bowl bibimbap (crispy rice was so good!) and the dinner course for 2. The staff came by and helped grill the meat for us which was nice but a different experience to what I was used to which is grilling it myself. The food was delicious!

First time there was Christmas Day. It was good food what bothered me the most was that we waited 30 minutes for someone to bring the check and boxes. The older man was giving more attention to the family of 6 or 7. We were the only other table in the whole restaurant and it was just two of us. The older man was literally cooking the food for them (never been here but been to other Korean BBQ places & usually the cooking is done in the kitchen or by the customer on the grill) he paid zero attention to us. Until finally a server noticed I was staring at them. She asked if I wanted the check I said yes. Still didn't get the check until someone else clocked in which was an additional 10 minutes after the girl noticed me. Overall the place is nice but maybe pay more attention to your other tables even if they're a 2 top. I get you're getting more money from a 6 too but we're still paying customers. Good was food just strong flavor combinations. Needed more rice to balance it out.

Went here the other night for the first time and the experience was mediocre. Pros: Great side dishes, friendly staff, clean facility, & quick service. Cons: Extremely overpriced for basic meats & meals. Arguably predatory. The cheapest combo was over $100 for 2 people. You would think that for the price, you'd at least have more variety within the combos and/or all you can eat options. I've been to several KR BBQ spots over the years (including Koreatown), and I promise you, this was far from spectacular. But I understand that the extremely high price of the food has little to do with the quality of the food, and more with the location. As another reviewer mentioned, its the only KR bbq spot on the hill. So if you live or work near Kims BBQ and you're ok with spending hundreds of dollars for average KR bbq, then go for it. If not, then drive 15 mins to Torrance, and you'll have way better options for way cheaper.

Had a great diner here. Service was wonderful. Luckily we were able to get seated quickly on Valentine's Day. This is a nice restaurant next to Bristol farms. Ambiance is good, it's family friendly. Good menu options. Quality of the food was great.

We've been wanting to eat here for awhile, and finally after the driving range with our friends we've convinced them to try it. Mr. Kim and the staff was such good hosts, they cooked for us and all the side dishes was over the top quality. We got the luxe family combo and it was perfect for 4 people. The rib eye, and short ribs was so good. We also tried cold spicy noodles, first time, amazing side to everything! Do come here and support mr. Kim. Having a Korean bbq here in rolling heights is so necessary! Oh and the vibe definitely modern and clean, it's only 3 years old.

Great Korean BBQ option in the South Bay. The meat and veggie selections were excellent. They also offer a variety of traditional Korean beers and other beverages. Highly recommended!

Wanted to love this place but service doesn't meet the bar. In particular, they had a group party going on, and neglected other guests a ton. To the extent that they even turned off lights while people were eating and were yelling. If you have a party like this maybe shut the place down. Not going back unfortunately, so many options down the hill.

Expensive but great quality! Enjoyed the meat without marinades best since I dont like sweet. There needed to be something with spice, spicy sauce or jalapeño, since everything was so sweet. Other and that though everything was delicious. Their banchan his homemade set the owner. Good kimchi and they had a really good seaweed one too. Yum!

Having kbbq in PV is insane. Never did I ever imagine this happening, all the kbbq and anything asian would usually be in Torrance or Gardena. Anyway, that's not to say this isn't a welcome addition. Contrary to that, Kim's BBQ is a huge welcome to PV. It's not AYCE and it's pricier but it works. They'll cook the meat for you and yadda yadda. The one quip I do have is that the standard stew and steamed eggs are add-on options instead of being included with the combos. Now they serve non-Kbbq food as well and also have lunch specials if you want that instead. We'll have to try that next time, but everything overall was pretty decent for what you can get in Palos Verdes. The restaurant is a little small but it can get real busy especially on weekends. But for your convenience: Kim's BBQ.

We've been coming bi-weekly for lunch and their food and service is excellent. Fresh and flavorful! The side assortments change and it's been wonderful trying freshly made new sides every few weeks! The short rib soup is bone in so it is full of flavor and a lot of meat! Value is great for the quality of meats, sides and the quantity you get. The wife and husband team are so very friendly and we hope you come and support this lovely local gem!

The good: I got the combination platter of bbq meats for 2-3 people that was $88 and included bulgogi, jowl, pork belly and brisket. It also came with 3 pieces of mushroom, 1 asparagus and a slice of white onion. They have a la carte options too as well as speciality dishes that aren't bbq (ex: bibimbap). I thought the gold metal dishes were pretty and unusual (usually Korean restaurants have the silver). The interior is modern and sleek with a really cool wood wall with built in lights. We got a side of rice that was very moist and yummy. The meat quality was nice and the presentation was excellent. They cook the meat for you in front of you on your individual grill. I came on a Monday and we were seated right away. We also had grape soju that was enjoyable. The bad: I wish the front door were open for ventilation because the fumes inside made me cough. It was interesting how you only got one asparagus spear. The food took longer than expected to come out. The food is all raw so I was surprised that it took so long. We finished the combo with the 2 of us but I think we would've been hungry if there were 3 people. I've had combos for 2-3 at other Korean bbq places before that offered a larger quantity. The interesting: We weren't offered dipping sauces but we got some after asking (chili, fermented dip, soy sauce vinegar type dip and salt).

Had the mix combo with steamed egg. The prime rib finger was not good, but everything else was awesome. Alot of food for 2 people. Will definitely go back!

Server was great, restaurant still feels new, clean, and doesn't (yet) have that sticky grime a lot of korean bbq establishments get over time. The Banchan here is pretty good--- was the most satisfying part of our dinner, as was the beef rib soup stew. We also got a soon tofu combo which was most disappointing-- it did not come with an egg and we were told it'd be extra. Never in all my years eating korean in LA have I been told this, it's actually quite laughable. For the price point, you'd think it'd come with one, and honestly, it really needed it because the soon tofu here is quite sparse and too watery. Probably the worst I've ever had in a korean establishment. I ended up making my own when I got back home, the soon tofu kit from HMart is far more satisfying.

The silverware was pretty. The lunch special said chicken bulgolgi, but it was chicken thighs. The macaroni was very soggy and runny and so was the rice. Service was ok.

Really surprised how good this place was. Nice that it is relatively close by. Patrons were nearly all Korean. Good sides, tasty meat, they frequent the table and do nearly all the cooking. Great place for dinner

I left Kim's BBQ speechless, but not in a good way. I truly cannot fathom the glistening reviews. Here's the deal - with every bone in my body, I cannot recommend coming here as the price to quality ratio is not worth it. I spent around $100 for KBBQ that was overcooked, low quality, and tasteless. It saddens me to even write this review because I promised to never write something below a 3 again. Obviously, this review is based on my own experience, where the staff cooked for us (just like at Baekjeong and other KBBQ spots). But in truth, even if I told them I wanted to cook for myself, which I usually do, the meat quality+sides+sauce wasn't going to improve my rating any higher. I was there to observe their process for this review, which is why I did not intervene. ***STORY TIME*** I found Kim's BBQ before they even opened. I was driving around PV last year and their sign caught my eye. Kim's BBQ? In PV? Does KBBQ even exist over here? Intrigued, I pulled into the plaza. The parking lot is huge, and seeing that it's PV, I had a feeling they would be a quality BBQ restaurant. Two weeks later, they opened. I walked in for the menu, took a photo and immediately uploaded it to Yelp so that everyone could see the prices. The prices seemed fair, if the quality was high. I followed them on Instagram and constantly checked their Yelp. Reviews were positive, so I felt good about coming some day. Fast forward months later, and I'm ready to try Kim's BBQ out. It was a Tuesday night, right before I was planning to watch the new Mario movie. Looked at the menu and settled for the COMBO MIXED - $88. We were a party of two. The price is in line with what I'd expect for premium KBBQ. Except it wasn't. ***REVIEW TIME*** Alright, time for the food & service review. For reference, you get thinly sliced brisket, pork belly, pork jowl, a choice of bulgogi or beef belly, and rice. Of course, you get the classic side dishes (banchan) as well. BANCHAN REVIEW: Oh my god, I would have been okay with selection being BORING if it wasn't for it also tasting extremely normal. It's kimchi, pickled radish (ssam mu), and macaroni. No potato salad or cubed potatoes, just straight up macaroni. And it was forgettable! Now, before I get into the meat, let me begin by saying the waitress/waiter (there were two) cooked for us. I did not ask them to cook for us, but they immediately just started cooking. I personally hate this, but some KBBQ places do it so I let it happen. Usually if someone is cooking for you it means they'll pay attention to your meat and make sure it's an amazing experience... It was not. Here's why: They did not give us time to eat/chat; they just straight up started throwing on the next meat after the previous one was (over)cooked. One waitress walked away, where I immediately started scavenging the grill to throw meat onto my plate before it overcooked. Another time, a waiter came by to cook pork belly and then walked away for 5 minutes before flipping. Pretty sure it was ready to flip the moment he walked away. Again, I was here to observe just like any other restaurant customer, so I did not want to step in for the sake of experiencing their service like everyone else. Thinly sliced brisket: This is your classic KBBQ meat. I was already extremely hesitant because the meat came out all at once and the brisket had NO marbling at all. It was all red with no fat - so I knew it would be an extremely lean cut. I wished I had taken a photo of this, but they already threw it on right when they came to my table. Pork jowl: Wow, I usually love pork jowl but it was extremely tasteless and overcooked. Even with the jalapeno brisket sauce (which was very poorly done), it was probably worse than a $20 AYCE KBBQ spot. Pork belly: Overcooked, the waiter literally disappeared. Beef belly: This is why my review has TWO stars. The manager/owner (an older fellow) came by and probably noticed the look I had when his employees were cooking. He did not speak a single word and just started throwing the beef belly on. Beef belly (photo attached) was thin like expected, but this time it tasted GOOD! I felt like I finally had a glimpse of what their food should actually taste like. Except... that ends the combo experience. Honestly, so glad that the beef belly was the closer. But considering everything I had experienced up until then, I was already just trying to pay and leave. I forgot to even comment on the poor attempt at veggies, too. Onion + asparagus, awkwardly there on the grill. $100 down the drain, truly. I cannot stress how much money I could have saved if I had just went to H-Mart and cooked everything at home. Here's my advice: Don't let your staff cook for people if they're not even going to be competent. If you have "expensive" quality meat, then don't treat it like it's not... I thought this was common sense.

Horrible service. Forgot 3 out of the 4 things we ordered and was the least bit apologetic for it. Never coming back here again! Avoid at all costs, better to just make the drive out to Koreatown for authentic kbbq.

A relatively new restaurant on the hill. It's Adjacent to Bristol farms. This hill is a hard place, the population here has a high percentage of Korean nationals , so a Korean bbq better be good to survive. 1- ambiance The ambiance here is all Class. This separates Kim's from the other local options * Gen is an all you can eat place Korean bbq down the street , but it's a dark and trendy place * Gyu-kaku (ironically adjacent to gen) is a Japanese version of the same bbq. Dark and trendy. What sets Kim's apart is that this is an upscale version of a Korean bbq. Appropriate for the hill, I'd say I was a bit surprised to see that they will actually cook your food for you at your table. I'm a bit on the fence for this , part of the fun of a Korean bbq is the self cooking nature of the event. But , I think that's part of their superior service. 2- food This is not an "all you can eat ". The usual downside of those establishment is their cuts of meat are a lower quality. These locations usually dial up the spice to cover the quality. Kim's food is top tier. The presentation is amazing. You really feel like you're getting the best of an experience here. We got the mixed combo. That's enough for two. You get a mixture of both beef and pork- which is exactly what we wanted. The sides were very good, not as spicy as I'm used to I ordered a Cass beer based on the server's recommendation. It was to totally adequate, not a watery American lager. Overall- yes, I will go again. You may balk at the initial prices , but remember - the price is feeding two people. When you do the math you find that you get a super classy experience , top notch food, for about the same price. And you dont feel like you're rubbing elbows with a bunch of twenty year old hipsters.

Excellent! We made a reservation for 6:30pm on a Saturday and was promptly seated when we came. We got the $155 luxe combo. The meat quality is excellent. The brisket is super good as well as the bone in ribeye. Those were my favs. The banchan is also excellent!! I loved all of them. The menu says the combo is for 2-3 people. We had 3 people and were stuffed at the end. I think the combo can serve 4 as long as everyone doesn't come starving. Parking is excellent. Located in a plaza. Service was great. Everyone came to cook the meat for us. Also love the gold plates. It's a bit pricey but I think it's worth the splurge for a special occasion!

Tried this place with the family and service is so-so, food is way overpriced for what you get. Pretty much the only Korean BBQ spot on the hill so you really don't have too much of choice other than driving down to Torrance or Gardena.

General Description: A KBBQ restaurant located in the hills of Silver Spur. The good: - Quality of meat. - Service. It seems like a lot of higher end KBBQ places have adopted the full service model. That is, the servers bring the food out and help with the cooking. - Location. This is the first KBBQ on the hill. The bad: - One person restroom. - Side dishes came out late. I will cut them some slack as it was close to closing time and they did end up bringing them out mid meal. - This place is new and it's only a matter of time when it will get packed. I hate long lines lol. - The price might be considered a little steep but you get what you pay for. Overall: I hope they keep up their service during busy times. I would highly recommend you give them a try.

Finally a KBBQ place to hit the peninsula! The servers at Kim's were so nice and attentive during our visit. This place is quite pricey, but the meat quality is top notch. My family of 4 got the luxe combo and the mixed combo. It was good for the four of us and was very filling! It came with a soup and steamed egg, as well as the assorted banchan. This place also got quite busy during lunch time, I can only imagine how busy it gets during dinner. If you find yourself on the peninsula, this place is worth a visit!

Usually this place is okay but I went with my family and they forgot 3 (of 4) orders tonight. We waited for a while and when we finally asked, they came to the realization that the printer to the kitchen ran out of paper and no one was aware of the order. Usually wouldn't care as much but I had my family (two young sons) with me and now we have to stop by somewhere else to get food. For our trouble, they offered a 15% discount on the first dish which just felt like the most minimal effort possible.

To the uninitiated, this place offers the right amount and fare, with quality just being ok, at a location convenient to those that frequent the area. There are other similar places that offer more in terms of selection and quality within a short drive. Service was on the good side and not a concern. Staff was helpful to first time customers. May come back here to avoid the crowd at other places.

Place was hopping. I grew up on the hill and have seen so many restaurants come and go. We love Korean BBQ and weren't looking forward to drive down the hill and wait an hour + at that G*** for all you can eat. This place meat is quality! The appetizers were good. They have a system where they cook for you instead of you DIY. The boss seemed to be watching and he jumped in and help change out or grill as well as turn our meat. I will be back next time I am in town. Maybe a bit pricey but worth it!

I live nearby, so I've been to this place several times. My experience has been... consistently bad. Food is very overpriced. Portions are too small. Not enough banchan (side dishes). Service? In general, pretty understaffed and not well-trained. They are clearly struggling because there aren't enough staff. So it's not their fault. The worst part is that the owner is a major jerk. And he is prejudiced against his own Korean customers. If you are Korean, and he detects that you are Korean, he will serve you last, skimp on your order, and rush you out, making you feel unwelcome. If you don't believe me, check out some of the other 1-star reviews for this place. Okay, you can't always tell if a Yelp reviewer is Korean, but sometimes you can, so check out what they are complaining about. If the owner figures out that you are Korean, he will treat you rudely. If you are Asian, but not Korean, you might have a chance at good service. Try to somehow make it obvious that you are not Korean. Good luck to you. And of course, if you are very obviously not Asian at all, you'll be fine. You'll be served before the Asians for sure. Congratulations, enjoy Kim's BBQ!

What an excellent restaurant. My only regret is that is that we have not visited here sooner! As someone who usually needs to drive all the way to LA for Korean BBQ, I am so relieved we have something on the hill. Not only is this closer this was so much better! We had the owners helping us and I truly appreciate the adjustment from DIY to having the attentiveness of them cooking for us. It made pacing our meal extremely easy and they were incredibly sweet and funny! The food quality - AMAZING! The meat was incredibly high quality and cooked perfectly. We can't wait to go back and are so relieved we have this incredible spot at the top of the hill. Thank you for an excellent meal and experience!

Amazing food and service, their sides are just as amazing as the bbq. They also have classic Korean dishes besides bbq, I had their cold noodle which was so delicious and refreshing. The meat is amazing quality, and cooks perfectly.

After several visits... Expensive for what it is. Wait staff doesn't pay attention to you when you order, not surprisingly they got it wrong. Staff insisted on cooking but overcooked the meat. Not the best, not the worst, deff not for the price. Just drive down to Torrance...

Best restaurant in PV! This place is a gem and they have some of the best banchan side dishes. Their marinated galbi is our favorite meat. Can't go wrong with anything on their menu though.

Hooray! Is this the best Korean food I have ever had? No. Is this the best Korean food in LA? No. Is this the best Korean food on the hill (PV)? Yes! I had come back from a long business trip and was just tired and wanted to eat something that wasn't fried or American. I had heard about Kim's bbq from my friends and never ventured to try it since I wanted to let them figure out the restaurant opening before I tried. It was a hot summer day and was looking for some naengmyon (Korean cold noodle) since I had been craving that. Their website was down, but i called them and lo and behold they had a cold noodle combo with Galbi! I was sold and immediately drove over. It was a Friday evening and half the tables were occupied which was great to see. Most people were eating BBQ, but i wanted to just get the combo. The restaurant was very clean and the bowls and the silver ware definitely had a nice luster to them that was different than what you would see elsewhere. Service was prompt and quick. Now for the food: Banchan (side dishes) - Good enough. Kimchi was great and the cucumbers were refreshing. Fish cake was standard. This didn't stand out, but I wasn't hear for this. Naengmyun - Broth lacked some flavor, but the noodles were done well and the soup did not border on being too sweet. The traditional mustard and vinegar condiments were provided and I was able to mix it to my liking. Galbi - cooked well and the meat wasn't too fatty like you see elsewhere. Meat quality was high. All in all the end to end package was great. Good Service, Good food, Great location and the pricing was right. I will come back later with friends or families for the BBQ combo.

My Korean friend told me this is the best place to go for Korean bbq. I asked her if it's even better than the ones in Torrance and she said yes so I decided to check it out. Kim's cut $58 was expensive but oh so good. I'm not typically a fan on tofu soup but the tofu here is tasty and creamy in a good non fattening way. I am definitely coming back. It's also clean and modern. Bimbimbop: I like it when the rice is crunchy on the bottom but this is good enough. The owner stars in the Netflix Beef!! Parking is easy peasy and free

I really hope the community supports this business! It's the best spot I've tried that's come into this shopping plaza. Also awesome to have kbbq on the hill! There are different set meats you can get for small groups, along with some sides and appetizers you can add. Service is very friendly and they cook the meat for you, which is so helpful for things like the steak. Cooked to perfection! This would be a really fun spot for any families with kids in particular. I'd also highly recommend the seafood pancake. It is enormous and honestly I'd come back just for this. It was that good. Drop by and try this spot out!

Wow the quality at Kim's BBQ is unmatched! Especially for the first kbbq up the hill in PV I HIGHLY recommend you make reservations esp for dinner on the weekends as it fills up pretty quickly around 5 - 530ish. Not sure if theres a minimum requirement for reservations but we had a group of 7 and were able to get one. TLDR- if you're big on having very high quality meat, this is the place for you. If you're more of a good quality + big on filling up on salad/sides, you should find another kbbq to fill you up. For our table of 4 people, we got the combo prime with the prime beef belly, kimchi stew, soybean stew, steamed egg, ribeye and pork belly (thats already $246) and while the quality was extremely good, it is pretty pricey (I mean you're paying for quality). you'll have to pay a lot to be stuffed (in my opinion) I could eat a few more plates of meat after all this tbh All the food we had was really good, especially the ribeye - it straight up melted in our mouth and the pork belly was so good too! I'm not big on getting pork belly at kbbq but it was one of the better ones I've tried! Service is amazing! There's always employees walking around and cooking the meat for you, refilling side dishes and making sure everything is a good kbbq experience. It's also very clean too. I love this place! So happy they opened up a KBBQ place in PV! The food is incredible. Great quality, amazing sides, clean atmosphere, and helpful staff. Love it here!

So glad I was able to find a legit korean restaurant in this area! Was able to reserve a table on a busy Friday night. The place was poppin' ! Highly recommend to call ahead to reserve a table as there were many walk-ins waiting to be seated. The meat quality didn't disappoint at all and the side dishes were all delicious. Our group ordered the Mix bbq combo which comes with salad and 3 bowls of rice. Any soup and steamed egg is offered at an extra price for a couple bucks more. Worth adding the steamed egg and soup which goes very well with the meal. The servers were attentive in grilling the meat and changing the grill in a timely manner even though the place was at it's busiest hour. Will come back to try their lunch specials.

Fantastic food, great service, and great to have this on the Hill. I miss this stuff from all the years of living in K-town and now I have it in my backyard.

So glad there is a Korean BBQ up in the peninsula. The food is good.. but for the price, the portion isn't as big as if you would get a regular Korean BBQ such as Parks BBQ, with tip we paid $195 party of 3, 2 adults and a ver y small child. (Had the combo 2 with 1 beer and soju). We would normally have left Parks BBQ with lots of left overs. This place has good quality meats but portion isn't as big. So not sure what a big family's bill would be... (which most of PV has biiig families). Their service was very good even thou they were short staffed. Their banchan was pretty good but not great. I based my banchan to the overall greatness of the restaurant. The variety of banchan lacks in this restaurant and their kimchi is good but not great, it lacks in dept of flavor and so does their KKAKDUGI (radish kimchi). I also did not get any Jap Chae like some people did... they also ran out of some side dishes when we came in at 4:30 pm. Yes, I understand they are brand new so they are still getting to know how much of what to make per day... Any Korea restaurants, you can ask for many refills on banchan, we asked once for refill and the owners remarks was "oh you like it..." Well yeah, I want more please... not good response when asking for more banchan.... He wasn't too keen that we asked for more banchan, he did but with resist. I know they are new, but they need to figure out the portion vs the price of this place. I will still drive to Korea town if I have to pay over $200. I will come back if I don't feel like driving to Koreatown or Fullerton to get great Korean BBQ. (Oh I am Korean too, so I know Korean food)

Simply Great food! Love their DongChiMi noodles. I have visited 3 times in 2weeks to have this noodles.

I'm glad more restaurants are coming to the peninsula. It's nice not to go off the hill to eat different types of food. My first impression of Kim's bbq was good, but the customer service was not excellent but they are relatively new. They were in their soft opening phase. The waitress completely messed up our order, and when we told her the items that came seemed different than what we ordered on the menu. She apologized and said we could order extra food to get items from what we actually ordered.. everyone makes mistakes but not the best customer service. The meat quality was good, and the sets ranged from $88, $132, and $155, which served 2-3 people. Each combination order is served with fresh salad, one steamed egg, and one selection of soybean stew or kimchi stew. The side dishes were good I just wish the service was better.

As much as I want to keep this place as a hidden gem, it's too good not to share. I usually go to Baekjeong for KBBQ but decided to try this place out with a few friends on a Thursday night. We got here around 6:30pm and were seated immediately. The servers were prompt and attentive and the meat quality was great. The servers even cook the meat for you so you just need to eat :) Overall, I'd say this place is comparable to Baekjeong. Value wise it ended up a bit over $30 after tax and tip. We got the combo mixed - meant for 2-3 people but with the unlimited sides it was enough for 4 people. Hopefully the service keeps up when this place gets busy (I'm sure it will).
