100% would not recommend coming to this place, food items received Vs what shown on the menu is completely different. Not with the money at all. Details on the bottom:
Came to this restaurant at around 1pm on a Monday afternoon for some lunch after doing some errands. The atmosphere was okay, K-Pop songs playing in background, place was overall clean. Ordered with the waitress the Seafood Soon Tofu, based on the picture of the menu and it does mention it have Shrimps, Mussel and Oyster, it sounded really promising.
Food came promptly with Korean side dishes first (Kimchi, beans, bean sprouts, and pickled radish), and afterwards, the bowl of boiling Seafood Tofu soup and Purple rice inside a hot pot. I did not take any pictures at the beginning as I wasn't planning to do a review.
My habit usually is to eat all the rice first and drink a little of the soup and side dishes and to save the best things for last, which are the meats/rest of the soup. In which I did. After finishing my rice, proceeded to chow down on the soup.
First look at the soup, I was trying to search for the Seafood, and also started to feel like I have been baited by false advertising of the Soup on the menu, compared to the actual. It took me sometime to look for the Seafood that's supposed to be in the soup. I fished out in total one piece of shelled mussel (acceptable but could be at least two), three piece of dried very small shrimp still inside the shell (it does not seem fresh, I think is the died ones), and one tiny piece of oyster (I would not even call this oyster, is more of the Asian dried oysters, around 1.5cm in length?)
As the picture, the total seafood to soup ratio was horrible. And also does not look like the menu picture at all. Other than the Egg, 3 little shrimp, 1 tiny oyster, 1 regular sized mussel, all that was left was bowl full of tofu and soup. There was no other veggies, no other seafood. Complete fraud you could say, or scammed. If this was $10 I would not be as pissed, but $16.82 for this garbage? Completly not worth.
I called the waitress over as this is unacceptable in terms of the menu picture vs what I received. I asked if this is the usual portion or item size that people get. She was not sure and I asked if there is any manager or owner around. She said they are not in and called the cook from the back over. I began explaining how little seafood there was compared to the menu picture, and in addition the very very tiny oyster that I received. I said if you are going to give this tiny oyster, you might need to put in a few more pieces, he then said if they put in more, it will make the soup more fishy. If your oyster is fresh and not the dried ones, it should not be fishy at all. I asked the cook, "is there anything you can do for me as the price $16.82 vs what I received vs the menu picture" he then asks me is 10% off okay. At that point I was not even going to argue, in my head I just wanted to finish the rest of the food and go back home and write this Google review. I accepted the 10% off, but in my opinion, if I saw at the beginning what I had received carefully, I would of just left the store right away. Also 10% off, at this point with false advertisement, you should be giving at least 30-40% off, as it is not worth the value at all. I am not a cheap person, I would gladly no complaint fork over $16 or $20 going out for lunch, but this food item not worth the price tag. It is complete fraud.
In the end, paid $18.87 after tax and tips, given the waitress 10% tip as she was not too helpful but at least her service was borderline okay. As of now writing this review, I'm still hungry as it was not filling at all.
Only good thing is, the food is hot, side dishes for 1 person is good portion size. The fancy clay pots that came with the rice and soup is good, restaurant table were clean.
Other than those good points, it is complete false advertisement and fraud. 100% would not recommend to come here unless you want to be ripped off and be frauded out of your money. K-Pop songs selections are good though.
