"Chef Hugues Mbenda from Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of the Congo) delivers his Congolese cuisine in the form of a single set menu comprising several courses. This menu changes every fortnight and includes creations such as manioc crisps with sweet chilli and burnt onion cream; crispy Angus beef onglet, dibi sauce, white asparagus and puffed thiéré (Senegalese couscous). The ingredients are fresh, the presentation is meticulous and the flavours are sure to transport you. At lunchtime, Libala, the chef's first cross-cultural street food restaurant, has a simpler menu." - Michelin Inspector

It was amazing. My 14-year-old really enjoyed it and said it was the best food he’s ever had. The service was great, kind and friendly. It was the best experience we had during our visit to France and truly deserves the attention of the people visiting Marseille.

The atmosphere inside is cosy and intimate, without being stuffy or self-seriously overbearing. The menu offers 7 different dishes, well more like 6+1 as the last one is basically a small cookie. The dishes served are always a pleasure to look at and a lot is put into making them as aesthetically pleasing as possible. The food is exquisite. Even if some of the spices/tastes used are familiar, the combinations in which they're used always end up resulting in something new and surprising, so it's a nice process of discovery. The service is excellent. From the pleasant welcome to the comprehensive descriptions of the food and actual service. The waiter/waitresses with their kindness, mindfulness and pleasant attitude enhance the ambience of the place so the end result is a very memorable experience. The stream of food is very well timed, so you can eat, have some time to talk then eat again. When I looked at my watch, after the 4th dish, we were shocked at how much time had passed. The restaurant also communicates very well. I had some questions before booking and despite sending my mail late at night, I got a reply within an hour. There's also an offer of cheese, which is extra. I would recommend trying out the cheese as it was delicious. Would recommend to anybody, the value for money is great.

One of the best meals we've had in awhile. Several dishes earned a "wow!" and the service and ambiance are great. The wine list isn't particularly impressive and they forgot to inform us of the possibility of a wine pairing (I should have asked). Highly recommended!

Quite wonderful food at an excellent price! The chef uses classical techniques with exotic ingredients and the result is exceptional flavours and beautifully cooked food. The staff were charming too. This should be a go to destination in Marseille.

A relaxed, while still high end, restaurant with great vibes and kind staff. The food was delicious: French preparations using Congolese ingredients. Nothing felt forced, everything was delicious. Highly recommend if you’re looking to break out of the bouillabaisse theme!

Wonderful dining experience in Marseille! We found this place on the Michelin guide and were not disappointed by the well-researched and flavorful vegetarian menu, house cocktail, and pineapple wine with dessert. The two girls at the front of house were very friendly and made great recommendations- they even asked if we wanted to speak to the chef at the end of our meal. 10/10!

Tasted their 6-step experience evening menu (no idea If it’s different from the lunch) and it was really great. -The dishes were very tasteful and well presented. -The atmosphere was perfect as well. Not too quiet to be bored neither too loud so you can have a conversation. -The service was excellent and the staff super friendly and welcoming. -The price was very good for the quality of the food and the experience offered. For sure I would pass by again if I happen to visit Marseille. It’s totally worth it!
