"Kinaara is serving some of the most luxe Indian food in Omaha in a sparkling, plush dining room. Over time, co-owners Ashish Sathyan and Kimberly Harris have expanded the menu, adding a popular wagyu beef coconut fry that features locally raised Morgan Ranch beef chuck cubes, sliced coconut, ginger, garlic, red onion, garam masala, and black pepper. There’s also a chef’s tasting table experience, available by reservation only." - Sarah Baker Hansen

Kinaara was a delicious dining experience. The ambience and decor is inviting. Our server Ian was pleasant , knowledgeable and attentive. We had Chat Samosa, Kabab Trio, Chicken Tikka Masala, Mint & Tamarind Chutneys and Butter Naan. All the dishes were visually pleasing and seasoned to perfection. Definitely worth a visit. Can’t wait to return!

If you are an exceptionally calm person that is not affected by some of the worst service you can have in an otherwise fine eating establishment, then go for it! I really hope management looks at these reviews and brings in someone to train their service staff. I’ve been seven times and have had a one star service experience with four star food quality. I can’t reconcile that to anymore so likely will not be back unless I hear something changes.

Pretty good food. Fish Pollichathu sauce was very good, but if you can tell from the picture, half of the salmon was raw. We got extra spicy chicken wings, which were not very spicy, especially for an Indian restaurant. Lamb vindaloo was cooked very well but sauce is not as good as others I have had. Was not spicy, even at medium. They were also out of the majority of their cocktails, some menu items, and the beer tap was broken? We saw a couple sit down and leave after a few minutes because of this.

I'd like to begin by expressing my gratitude to the chef who prepared today's thali. As someone from a South Indian background with a strong passion for food, I've visited numerous restaurants featuring a variety of cuisines, both Indian and non-Indian, in my quest to explore diverse flavors. Although I’ve experienced exceptional tastes with generous portions, nothing had ever left me truly satisfied. My experience at this restaurant began with the captivating story of its owners, printed on the back of the menu. Intrigued, I ordered the thali for dinner, which I believe is available on Thursdays. As a traveler unfamiliar with the reservation system at this establishment, I didn’t reserve a table—my mistake! Consequently, the waiter seated me at the bar, which is not my usual preference for dinner. After a brief wait, I was pleasantly surprised by the substantial portion of the thali. Even with my hearty appetite, I found the quantity quite impressive. Everything on the plate appeared both interesting and appetizing. I began by dipping the naan into the chicken tikka masala, which was perfectly executed. The flavors were well-balanced, and the aroma elevated the dish. Next, I paired the second half of the roti with the chicken curry, which I believe was a Kerala-style coconut chicken curry. While it was flavorful, I would have appreciated a bit more spice. I continued by savoring the remaining roti with the potato masala curry, which was outstanding. As a South Indian, I thoroughly enjoyed the rich blend of spices, and in between bites, I snacked on the papad. After quickly finishing the roti, I moved on to the rice, pairing it with the remaining curries: paneer mutter masala, which could have been spicier, and okra sabji, which had a moist texture and a perfect balance of spices. Though I typically skip the raita in a thali, I must commend the chef for creating a yogurt with just the right consistency and taste. Additionally, the chutney was phenomenal. With every bite, it was clear that the chef had poured their heart into crafting this meal. I want to take this opportunity to thank the chef for such an exceptional dining experience. As for areas of improvement, I would suggest the inclusion of a dessert menu—perhaps with some authentic and unique dessert options to complement the meal.

Google
I came here for my birthday after doing some research for an authentic Indian resturant I found Kinaara. I am originally from England and I have not been very fond of American Indian food however Kinaara exceeded my expectations. I decided to play it safe with a Chicken Tikka Masala and my partner got a Chicken Biryani, it was very flavorful and I will definitely be coming back to try more of their specials! Our server was extremely friendly and we had great fast service.

Upon arrival I was not greeted. There was only one table with two customers at this time. The server for this table, notified the other server I was at the host stand. My server was sitting at a table which appeared to be where they roll the silverware. However, my server was not rolling the silverware. He was on his phone with AirPods in. My water was brought in a timely manner, however was never refilled. I sat a long time, finished with my meal before he returned to ask if I needed anything. I asked for a box. When he returned it was then that he asked if I wanted more water. I explained I was already finished eating. I sat for a long time more waiting for a check. The food was delicious. I ordered Grandpa Del’s Goat Stew “hot” and butter naan. However, some of the stew meat was not tinder. Also, the meat is left on the bone which I did not enjoy. I do like spicy food and would have probably enjoyed “extra hot”. There were only three chunks of potato but they were cooked perfectly. The naan was on the thinner side and had holes. The atmosphere was ok. They did have an unkept area where they keep the wine. Loose hangers with a basic handmade sign stating the cost of t-shirts, however, no shirts were hanging. There was also a loose grocery bag on the counter and personal items stored in view. The restaurant sign with plants surrounding it is beautiful and a nice way to hide the kitchen area. They use styrofoam Togo containers. With the cost of food with the upscale attempts were completely lost with the styrofoam. Overall, I would try eating here once more with the hopes of better service.

Google
This is hands down the best Indian restaurant I’ve been to. The rice was so aromatic and fluffy. The kabob entree is one of my favorites! It gives you a taste of three different styles/seasonings. The naan is crispy but flavorful and still soft. We got the wagyu coconut beef which was a large portion and so flavorful! We also sat on the patio and there were cute lights and just a really good atmosphere all together.

Google
Basmati Rice and Rosemary Garlic Naan. The flavors were excellent, and the spices in the Butter Chicken were spot on—rich and flavorful. The Naan was perfectly soft with just the right amount of garlic and rosemary. However, I had an issue with the chicken itself. Unfortunately, it seemed a bit undercooked. When I tried to cut into it, I struggled, and I could still see red parts in the middle, which was concerning. It’s disappointing because the dish had a lot of potential, but properly cooked chicken is essential. I hope the kitchen can address this in the future because I would love to return for the great flavors but expect a better experience with the preparation.

Yelp
Excellent food. Soft naan. Appetites sorted. Inquired about an online deal regarding the chicken tikka masala and a side of chickpeas. Only valid for lunch time we later learned.

Doug D.

Yelp
I hate to do this because I really like the food, but the service is consistently atrocious. Enough so that it's not likely worth the frustrations to go again, unless I have a lot of time to kill and bring some meditation practices through the door with me so that I don't get frustrated. In the many online reviews that I have posted I have never called out service specifically or let it affect my score, because I know how things can ebb and flow with staff. In this case, I've dined here probably seven times, and the service from the initial greeting at the door, the haphazard way they let you pick your own table, the long wait to get a server to your table, the nonexistent drink refills, and the cherry on top, which is waiting for somebody with a pulse to notice that you are long since finished and ready for the check, while the staff are talking amongst themselves and checking their phones behind the bar.. If it weren't for the service, I would give this place a four star rating. I hope you guys can pull it together.

Yelp
Came for a late lunch early dinner...and we were just in time for happy hour! We didn't order any cocktails but did enjoy happy hour prices on appetizers and drinks. We ordered the Wagyu and the Mama's fish! They were soo good! My husband liked the wagyu more, and for me: it would depend on the mood I'm in! I wanted salmon anyway, and so it was PERFECT! Fresh salmon for sure! The green mango curry was so delicate and delicious, (I had the mildest spice possible today cause I wasn't ready for spice lol). The wagyu was mild in spice but DELICIOUS!!!! Technically we ordered medium spice but for me (a weakling) it felt mild, and not in a bad way! It was FLAVORFUL! Which tbh is usually my struggle with heat (not getting to taste all the flavors). It's was just right on pitch! For the apps we had the Masala sweet potato waffle fries and the cheese filled naan! Soooooo good!!! The ambience is casual yet intimate and service was friendly and knowledgeable! Our server Kimberly was totally friendly despite my 47 questions! Definitely taking any family or friends here ! Also: there adds plenty of vegan options for those that are vegan!

Katie L.

Yelp
Another great visit to Kinaara! My friend and I are creatures of habit and ordered the same meal as last time, and it was just as good as we remembered. I also added a hot chai tea to my meal, and it was the perfect beverage for a winter evening. In addition to fabulous food, our server, Devin, was super attentive and upbeat. The whole experience was lovely!

Hayley N.

Yelp
I went here for a second time and things were equally as delicious! Our server was extremely friendly and very attentive. This restaurant has a great environment and is perfect for a date night, a small family group, or meeting with friends. My only critique for our meal would be that the fries on the order of Masala Fries were just a little cold (I'm guessing they finished cooking before the chicken and were plated sooner). The flavor was still out of this world!

Katherine S.

Yelp
Food, service, and atmosphere were all great. I'm relatively new to Indian food and shared a sampler special with someone else. More than enough for both of us and everything was delicious, even the dishes that weren't quite my taste!

Allison N.

Yelp
I have not been to their new location but this place is amazing. I've eaten kinaara twice, once while pregnant and once after pregnancy. All I wanted was very spicy food when pregnant and then went back to being somewhat of a wimp after pregnancy. Spicy means spicy. I get the same thing Lasuni Gobi, vegetable samosas, and veggie curry. My husband doesn't like Indian food so I will eat there when he's out of town or off golfing.

Bev C.

Yelp
Lunch with my daughter to an old favorite from the days of Millard Ave. I love all the upgrades but miss Ashish in the kitchen and his staff. Food wasn't what it used to be; neither was the service. It was a Monday. Maybe I picked the wrong day? I'm bummed to give it a 3.

Jana J.

Yelp
First time in and I will for sure be back! The value for this $16 meal was amazing--basmati rice, Chana (spicy chick peas--so good!), 2 pieces of perfectly textured naan, and of course the masala itself. Overall, I wish I would have gotten more chicken, but the meal was excellent and a tremendous value! Next time I come in I will try their sampler plate (served only on Wednesdays I believe) or butter chicken which I've heard great reviews about. The service was slightly slower--probably typical of similar spots. The outdoor patio was just perfect--shaded tables and plenty of space. Well worth checking out!

Christine H.

Yelp
I infrequently eat Indian food but this place may change that. Really flavorful dishes with just the right amount of spice. I loved my tikka masala with tofu. I will be back!

Briana M.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place! I can't get this type of cuisine near my home so loved the opportunity to try something new!

Chad W.

Yelp
Well still have not made it for dinner yet. I wish I could give 4 1/2 stars. The food is a five for sure. Some items seem a bit over priced but they are in bougie regency mall. Now I had the saag paneer today and it was DELICIOUS!!! Such amazing flavor. So smooth, silky and creamy. Wish I had more now haha. Service could still be a bit better and more attentive. My water sat empty for a while. In fact I was done before it got refilled. Still gotta try dinner here.

Dan S.

Yelp
Went to the Regency location for the first time on a qeekday evening and the place was packed. They have a big table (seats ~8+) which is really nice for a big group and is a bit isolated from other seating which was great given our group had 3 babies under 1. Everyone enjoyed the food, but we did have some service hiccups - water cups weren't filled too much/often, a soup order was forgotten and 2 drink (masala tea) orders we had to ask them about as we they likely forgot to put in the order (we got them shortly after asking). We did order a few different times so that could be part of the issue. The chef/owner stopped by our table to ask us avout our meal which I haven't seen much in the Omaha dining scene. Nice touch

Jeanne P.

Yelp
I was anxious to try Kinarra & yet I am very particular about good quality Mulligatawny soup & so t was not to my liking. Varieties of Indian meals are great, but just was not a place I want to look forward to going back!

Magdalen K.

Yelp
The food here is amazing, perfectly spiced. The service was awesome, the wait staff was very kind and checked in with us frequently. They also have us some good recommendations from the menu. Most of us had curry dishes wish were delicious. My parents ordered some cocktails which they liked and I had the chai which was great. The interior of the restaurant is nice and not too crowded. We've eaten both indoors and outdoors. They have a nice patio but I would recommend waiting until the sun goes down so it's not in your eyes. Also, I would recommend having a reservation when dining here. We've done that each time and when we show up the restaurant is quite full and seems very popular. Would definitely recommend this place and we will be returning.

Kurt S.

Yelp
I met some co-workers here for lunch a couple months ago and it was a good experience. The host and waitress were super nice and we were sat immediately. We ordered some drinks and apps. Everything came out in a timely manner. After the rest of the group got there, we ordered our main lunch dishes and they too, came out in the right amount of time. All of the food was awesome and looked and tasted fresh. I am definitely coming back here in the future.

Jake M.

Yelp
First time trying kinaara since they moved to a new location and I was sadly disappointed to find the food quality had gone down hill significantly. First off, "old" kinaara was my favorite restaraunt in Omaha, I would recommend everyone to go there. If it wasn't for my past experience with kinaara I would be giving them a 2/5. Butter chicken is my favorite dish that they serve, the butter chicken that I use to get from them was life changing, the best Indian food I had ever had, period. This time I got tomato water butter chicken. It was so bland, I got it spiced medium and you would have thought it was spiced extra mild, no heat whatsoever. Overall no flavor, the chicken also tasted borderline raw but checking it in the sauce is near impossible. The Naan use to be pillowy soft, but still have really great structure, they would slap it with butter and herbs. This time I just got over cooked Naan, very dry, no butter. Also very thin, almost like a cracker and the Naan had no pull. I want to go back and try it again but $50 for 2 people is hard to justify with the food I got last time from them. Maybe eating it in house is a better experice but I ate it within 10 minutes of getting it so it really shouldn't be changing that much.

Steve L.

Yelp
Service was fantastic. Their food is excellent. And their seating in the round both is very comfortable.

Nancy H.

Yelp
My friends and I visited Kinaara and we absolutely loved our experience here! We made a reservation ahead of time for Saturday, which I recommend since they can get pretty busy on weekends. The interior of design the restaurant is very aesthetic, decorated with lots of plants and vibrant colors. The food was incredible. We shared a plate of masala fries with paneer for appetizer. We each got an entrée and also shared garlic naan and tandoori roti. I tried the chicken tikka masala which comes with rice. Everything was absolutely delicious! The masala fries with Paneer was my favorite! The service here was also excellent. The food came out very fast, and the server was extremely attentive and friendly, providing us with some good recommendations. We definitely plan to come back to Kinaara!

Navdeep S.

Yelp
Went there last weekend, new location definitely is a huge upgrade from the previous spot, more roomy, definitely more classy as well and food still tastes wonderful!! Very busy, recommend making reservation way ahead. Got bar seating, you can Oder fill menu there. Service was average, servers are excellent. The drinks menu definitely lacks some good Indian cocktails, definitely recommend looking into that. Need new drink menu printed out, as in picture, not very clean, can start using QR codes. Had a few different food items and the special salmon preparation which is only on weekends and the food hit the mark, mouthwatering good, perfectly spiced, five stars to the chef! Naan we're nicely done and food came out fresh and tasty. A star on the Omaha food scene.

Tom D.

Yelp
I just experienced a delightful AND delicious lunch! Dining alone, with a focus on getting a bit of work done over lunch, I entered Kinaara and was quickly seated at the bar (my choice). Bar dining here is comfortable, well lit, spacious, and delightful - especially with Christian behind the bar! He told me it was only his fourth day and that fact amazed me given his menu knowledge, rapport building and service skills. He's clearly well-trained and engaged in his role. On his recommendation, among several, I chose Butter Chicken and added a side of rice. This was a fabulous dish! A talented blend of Indian spice, tomato, and super-tender chunks of chicken. The rice was perfectly prepared. I finished with a mellow cup of Marsala Chai. Now I understand the praise I've heard for Kinaara!

D P.

Yelp
To say that Kinaara is an exquisite culinary experience is an understatement. Every time I've had the opportunity to wade in, I always walk away amazed at the creativity, innovation, and depth of dishes that come out. Today was no exception. I had the Pork Belly Ularthiyathu (center) with rice or Kerala parotta (I had both)... had to stop and savor all that was in the dish (and so I could have some for later). Cole had the Pork Cheek Vindaloo... whoa! Also, delectable. Service & ambiance amazing too! Water glass filled constantly and nice 70s/80s music playlist

Aimee A.

Yelp
Very authentic and delicious Indian food! We had the chaat samosa, lamb curry, lamb korma, garlic naan, raitha, and tamarind chutney. All were so flavorful and on par with our favorite spots in CA, FL, and London. We will be back! The ambiance and decor was very nice, and the chef even came to our table to make sure all was good.

H M.

Yelp
We tried Kinaara for the first time tonight and loved everything about it! Beautiful space, food is excellent. We had a great meal. We don't live in the area but visit often and will be returning for sure.

Tikku G.

Yelp
We stopped by for a weeknight dinner with a party of 10. We had made a reservation a few days before and were prompt seated right when we arrived. The head chef is from Kerala, which is where I am from in India! I was excited to see a few local dishes on the menu. We ordered the paneer, butter chicken, goat and chicken biriyani, cheese naan and Kerala paratha. It was all cooked so well and filled with flavor. Chef Ashish even came out to ask us if everything tasted good; I thought this was such a nice gesture and showed how invested he is in his craft and in the satisfaction of this customers. 10/10 will be back next time I am in Omaha! **Forgot to take pictures :(

Chenna P.

Yelp
Went there a month ago with my wife for happy hour. Really enjoyed the chicken pakoras and cocktails along with a great outdoor atmosphere. Would recommended!

Linda N.

Yelp
I was truthfully blown away by this Indian cuisine! The menu was small so I was a bit skeptical, but I'm so glad we were invited here for dinner on a Saturday night. They opened the location 2.5 weeks before, and the night was quite busy with every table full. It wasn't difficult to make reservations online. They overbooked but recovered quickly by scrounging up a table from the back. The apps we got were the chat samosa and the masala fries. Both amazing choices full of delicious spices and cooked well. For entree I got the pork cheek vindaloo, which was blasted with flavor and spice. The spice levels for dishes are mild, medium, hot, and very hot if my memory serves me right. You could order in between these levels, but some started at medium. My fish started at medium and was appropriately spicy, but this Viet girl can handle a lot of spice so beware! The pork was tender and perfectly cooked. Hubs got the fish pollichathu which was Atlantic salmon. He's from Alaska and is a salmon snob, but had rave reviews for this salmon. It was cooked to perfection wrapped in a banana leaf. May be the best salmon we've had served in any restaurant. That's saying a lot! The place was bustling and the owners stopped by our table to check in. The food took a while but may be due to how new it was and staff may be new as well. It was all well worth it though! Will definitely return for more.

Michael K.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by Kinaara's Indian food. The masala fries were a delicious appetizer. The masala sauce was delicious and full of flavor. I also had the chicken biryani as a main entree, which was good but not amazing as the chicken could have used a bit more flavor. I would recommend Kinaara and plan to return to order the chicken masala.

Michelle M.

Yelp
I was surprised at how good Kinaara was, because I usually only go to Jaipur for Indian food. I would suggest a reservation however we made ours 20 minutes before arriving. The inside is nice. Our waiter was outstanding. I wish I remembered his name. He use to cook for them and so he knew every little thing about every dish. I cannot eat Gluten or Dairy due to allergies and so he helped me pick out the perfect dish.everything seemed so fresh. I am so happy with our experience.

Anisa M.

Yelp
Make sure you get a reservation here especially on the weekend or you'll be turned away. I promise you don't want to be turned away from some of the best Indian food in omaha! I'm so glad they opened up at Regency since it's so much more accessible to us from their old location. I loved the play on chaat with the chaat fries. It was so delicious. The butter chicken and tikka masala are classic and you can't miss out on but the star of the night for me was the tandoori shrimp with the perfectly made mint chutney. Reminded me of home. Next time we go, I want to try the Biriyani and Tandoori Chicken and Kabobs!

Lianna N.

Yelp
Kinaara has a reasonable sized menu, good service, and great food. We have many good places to eat Indian cuisine in Omaha, but if you are looking for a nicer dining space, Kinaara might beat out most of it's competitors (other than Saffron in Aksarben, which is even more gorgeous). We tried a variety of dishes from rice to naan to stews and appetizers and everything was well made and presented. Solid meal, with nice ambiance.

Kimberle B.

Yelp
First time trying Indian food and it didn't disappoint! The food was delicious and the rice was even better! I tried the chili chicken and it has very good flavors, I went with medium spice, I would go up if you like spicy! The chili garlic naan was spicy but very delicious as well as the garlic naan! Service was great out waiter was very attentive, and the ambiance is so cozy but with grey decor

Stephanie C.

Yelp
We've been here twice and I can't wait to go back! The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. The staff are all welcoming and helpful. The first time I had aloo gobi and my husband had chicken tikki masala. Delicious! The second time I had mango curry salmon and my husband had tandoori chicken. INCREDIBLE! Seriously....nirvana for the soul. Don't wait...go!

Kelly C.

Yelp
Holy cow, where has this been all my life?! This was the best butter chicken I've ever tasted. My friend ordered rosemary naan and let me have a taste and THAT was incredible too! Service was great, we were seated outside when suddenly gusts of wind started blowing pollen everywhere so we relocated inside, they replaced our drinks for us which wasn't necessary but very appreciated.

Co F.

Yelp
The service is very slow here! Prices are decent and food is pretty good. Portion sizes match the price which was nice. We ordered the lamb and curry chicken. The lamb was excellent, but the server tried to blame the kitchen for the long wait. We were there for almost two hours. We should have left when we had the chance considering there was a hair embedded in one of the rice bowls and the service was subpar. The server acted like all was normal... I won't be racing back!

Sarah G.

Yelp
So pleased to report we had what I knew would be an amazing dinner at Kinaara definitely WAS! And then I forgot to finish this review? And / or post the pictures from the old and new locations? Anyway, it's amazing. It's got a great story and family behind it. And there will be many, many more visits to come.

Catherine W.

Yelp
The chicken tikka masala fries were an absolutely incredible starter-- you MUST try these! The butter chicken was delicious and plenty of food with a side of garlic naan. I had the mild spice level for the butter chicken and that was plenty hot for me.

Ellen T.

Yelp
Outstanding food!! So interesting and delicious! Good wine selection. Our Servers were so attentive, and communicative about the menu, Will definitely go back and recommend.

Elisabeth B.

Yelp
This location has opened fairly recently according to what my group was told when we were there. So they struggled a bit with servicing the tables and the waiters and waitresses seemed a bit uncoordinated and we had to wait for quite a while for our good. BUT The food was amazing. I have never had Butter Chicken before but this one was so good that I am now afraid to try it anyplace else. The appetizers are great for sharing and the menu has something for everybody but is not too big. Big menus to me are often a red light tbh so this menu was just perfect imo. The chef came to us to check in on our table after he discovered that we had been waiting for a while and I believe it was his wife offered to buy everybody at the table a drink on the house. I think this place is really great, the owners care and try really hard to please their customers and truly care about your experience. Give them a shot please if you have never been before and support their business - but while they are adjusting to the new, larger location, be patient when you come in.

Karmin E.

Yelp
My first time eating Indian food, I loved my meal & the ambiance. Will be back when I'm in Omaha again. Highly recommend!

Suzy W.

Yelp
We visited Kinaara for my birthday after I had heard so many positive comments about this restaurant. It is in a beautiful new location at Regency. It was very busy for a Monday night, which is a good sign. The menu is different than most Indian restaurants in Omaha. They do have standard dishes like chicken, tikka, and curry. They also have some very unique dishes. I wondered if they were from a certain region in India. The waiter was very knowledgeable about all of the dishes, and he helped my sister navigate gluten-free items. The dishes were spicier than other Indian restaurants I've tried. We ordered the chicken wings for an appetizer, and they were very spicy for all of us. My main dish was a vegetarian "meatball" in sauce. I'm very sorry I don't remember the name. I also did not take a picture. It was much more mild than most of our dishes, but it was very flavorful. Since it was my birthday, they brought me a free dessert and a birthday card signed by the owners. I thought that was a very nice touch, and I have never received a birthday card from a restaurant. That dessert was a date cake similar to a toffee pudding with a Caramel sauce. We all enjoyed its unique flavor. I look forward to visiting again and trying other dishes. My only caution is that the majority of our table thought their dishes were very spicy, even if we ordered them at the lowest spice level.

Farai T.

Yelp
Hands down the best Indian restaurant in Omaha! The food is absolutely amazing! Chef Ashish is absolutely incredible and skillful!! Try the masala fries as an appetizer you won't be disappointed! Biriani is my favorite Indian dish and Kinaara never ceases to amaze me. All their dishes are just out of this world!! The ambiance is absolutely stunning! If you are looking for great authentic Indian food try Kinaara!

Randy C.

Yelp
Tonight we tried Kinaara! I have to say off the bat the waitstaff blew me away. The team was polite, asked if we had any questions, and was extremely personable. They made it easy to make a reservation and recognized it was us and seated us right away! The chef even came out and said hello too! Our table started out with the Marsala fries which were a hit. We ordered the chicken and paneer options. My wife and i ordered the butter chicken and tandoori chicken for entrees with a side of naan bread. We appreciated all the flavors and the bread really was to die for. We couldn't leave without trying the mango lassi. It was so tempting to drink it all before dinner came. I am happy for this restaurant because they had plenty of costumers dine- in and take-out on a Wednesday which could be a more quiet day for restaurants. Try Kinaara if you haven't!

Beth O.

Yelp
LOVED EVERYTHING!!! I could eat this daily!! The food was delicious and the staff were amazing!! Very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions with grace. We first ordered the chilli chicken for an appetizer and it was so fresh and flavorful!! We ate it in less then 5 min. Next we ordered butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. AMAZING! We also ordered the special for the night. It was the Thali. What a fun dish!! I loved all of it! If your anything like me, I love being able to try multiple items!! This was the perfect dish for that!! Definitely try Kinaara asap if you haven't yet!!

Melissa A.

Yelp
We asked our son where he wanted to have dinner for his birthday, and Kinaara is what he suggested. I don't eat a lot of Indian cuisine. It's not on my list of favorites because it's usually too spicy. I mentioned to the waiter that I needed something both gluten-free and NOT spicy. He gave excellent recommendations to each of us, and I waited for the pain--because at any other Indian place, it never mattered what I said, the food was always so spicy I couldn't finish it. What a truly pleasant surprise when the food was wonderful! Very tasty, and only just the most mild hint of spiciness. Not only that, but the chef/owner came to our table specifically to make sure that I was happy. It was so clear that he truly does care, and he seemed sincerely pleased that we all enjoyed his food. He's the sort of chef where you feel like every meal is a gift from his heart. That's rare, and it's certainly worth a trip back here to experience again.

Yelp
I don't know who gave this Chef permission to make such amazing food, but THANK YOU. Indian cuisine is one of those things I just cannot replicate at home. This meal did not hold back on spice or portions and everything was cooked to perfection. I am a very picky eater so I was surprised that there was so many things on the menu I wanted to try, I feel like every time I go back I'll be able to try something new. This place exceeded expectations and I hope the chefs know that they deserve all the praise they are receiving from the Omaha community and more.

Yelp
We recently hosted a post-wedding dinner reception with Ashish and Kimberly, owners of Kinaara, and the entire event was exceptional! The food and service were spectacular, and the venue was perfectly beautiful. We had 20 guests and utilized the ample seating space in the restaurant. I can't thank them enough for a beautiful evening. April

Yelp
This was so close to a 5 star rating! The food is absolutely incredible, probably second rank of Indian food I've ever had anywhere, delicious enough to rank 5 stars for sure. I just had a couple issues with the overall experience. One, the acoustics in here are distractingly bad. It was deafeningly loud with only four or five tables. Two, though the service was friendly and accurate, it took literally over twenty minutes to be helped after we sat down, and not due to a shortage of employees. Three, although the chai and naan were very delicious, I was notably unhappy with the value for them. I will definitely return because my entree was incredible, but there is room for improvement.

Yelp
The food we had was good but it took almost 45 minutes to get our food and they weren't that busy. We got our food and only had 5 minutes to eat. I would look elsewhere if you only have an hour lunch break. I like the decor and the menu looked amazing. We will try it again possibly for dinner when we aren't in such a rush.
