First time trying kinaara since they moved to a new location and I was sadly disappointed to find the food quality had gone down hill significantly. First off, "old" kinaara was my favorite restaraunt in Omaha, I would recommend everyone to go there. If it wasn't for my past experience with kinaara I would be giving them a 2/5.
Butter chicken is my favorite dish that they serve, the butter chicken that I use to get from them was life changing, the best Indian food I had ever had, period. This time I got tomato water butter chicken. It was so bland, I got it spiced medium and you would have thought it was spiced extra mild, no heat whatsoever. Overall no flavor, the chicken also tasted borderline raw but checking it in the sauce is near impossible.
The Naan use to be pillowy soft, but still have really great structure, they would slap it with butter and herbs. This time I just got over cooked Naan, very dry, no butter. Also very thin, almost like a cracker and the Naan had no pull.
I want to go back and try it again but $50 for 2 people is hard to justify with the food I got last time from them. Maybe eating it in house is a better experice but I ate it within 10 minutes of getting it so it really shouldn't be changing that much.
