"What It Is: A Lower East Side outpost of the Williamsburg Chinese restaurant Perfect For: Casual Group Dinners Williamsburg’s now has a location right on the other side of the Williamsburg Bridge (really, it’s about 14 feet from the bridge) on the Lower East Side. The space looks fairly similar, and the menu isn’t too different either - there are very enjoyable dumplings, noodles, and larger wok dishes like tea-smoked mu shu duck and crispy garlic chicken. For a fun, casual group dinner on the LES where you can drink good cocktails and share a bunch of food, this is a new spot that definitely belongs on your list. The Verdict: A similar, and similarly enjoyable option to the Williamsburg original. We’ve added it to the Hit List." - hannah albertine, bryan kim, katherine lewin, hillary reinsberg, chris stang, matt tervooren
"In case you’re meeting someone who is complaining about schlepping in from Williamsburg, suggest eating some dim sum or dan dan mian outside of Kings County Imperial. This Chinese restaurant’s outdoor space is the closest you can get to the Williamsburg bridge without being pummeled by Citi bikers who don’t realize how fast they’re going. Kings County on the LES is open every day from 5:30pm to 10pm, and they’re offering reservations through their website." - hannah albertine
"I ordered dinner from Kings Co Imperial, one of my favorite spots. I’d been missing their string beans in particular — they’re porky and twice-fried."
"Ming River’s baijiu is already appearing in cocktails at celebrated restaurants and bars across the country such as Kings Co. Imperial’s new Lower East Side location where bartenders mix it with Jamaican rums, apricot, ginger, lime and nutmeg." - Justine Sterling
