Tried this place for the first time tonight. We sat outside in a booth, which was very nice! Although the filet was a bit overcooked, the lobster was really good. All the sides were tasty, except for the cauliflower (very undercooked). The beet salad was pretty light on the beets, so that was disappointing. We had beet salad, cauliflower, filet and lobster tail, sea bass, oysters and butter cake. Service was good, no complaints.

This was my very time here! My instructor and advisor I told me a few times before in the past that I should certainly consider going there for a meal sometime! Well, I finally made it. While they are definitely a bit on the pricer side (it *is* seafood after all), I have to admit that the food was pretty great! I ordered Fried catfish and French fries. 🍟 That fish was delicious!! It was very well seasoned and the panko breading was also crunchy and delicious. It came with a side of french fries. Unfortunately, in the very beginning, I had to send my fries back because they were cold! Keep reading! HOWEVER, the restaurant manager Rectify this matter in the biggest way possible play! In the first place, they comp'd my entire meal! I was not expecting that at all. I sent back the old fries and they brought some brand new fries that were fresh and hot! For me, that would have been remedy enough. Yet, he comp'd the entire meal. I was grateful! It may have also been because it was my birthday. That leads me to the next point. Because it was my birthday, they gave me a complimentary serving of their famous bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The bread pudding was not bad! I'm not really big on bread pudding, and probably would have preferred a slice of cake or something like that. But overall, the desert was nice. And more to the point: it was free! LOL For that reason, I enjoyed it all the more. I received great service there, too. The server, a blonde on the thicker side, was very friendly. Unfortunately, I don't think she was wearing a name tag, and I therefore cannot give her a specific credit. All I can say is that we were there on Friday evening, which would have been October 24th, 2025. She was very pleasant and patient. She ensured that we all had everything we ordered, and made sure that the food was correct! The restaurant manager was pretty pleasant, too. He was also nice to look at! Lol Now, before I bring this to a close, I would be remiss if I did not talk about the men's restroom! I almost posted this review without mentioning it. I don't always give establishments, (especially restaurants), a five-star review unless I have the opportunity to see the men's restroom. That, for me, is always worth a full star by itself. For those who have read my reviews in the past, you will already know that I always check the men's restroom as a part of my Google reviews. You will see from the photos and a couple of videos I uploaded that the men's restroom was spotless! I could not believe it. That place was incredibly busy Friday night, and the men's restroom looked as if it had just been cleaned. Or, it gave the impression as if the restaurant had just opened for the day and a lot of people had not gone through it yet. Furthermore, the interior of the restaurant and exterior were both completely clean and free of debris. I didn't see cigarette butts or trash or any kind of debris anywhere! Yes. I would most definitely eat at this restaurant again in the future. I think returning there, I might try another dish like Chilean sea bass or even a salmon fillet! Although, I have plenty of salmon in my freezer that I cook from time to time.

Four of us wandered in without a reservation, fully expecting to be told to try our luck elsewhere—but nope, we were seated right away like royalty. We ordered lobster, swordfish tacos, the King’s Platter, crab cakes, and basically everything that swims. By the end, we were so full we considered rolling out instead of walking. The waiter was a total rockstar—friendly, fast, and somehow didn’t judge us for ordering half the ocean. 10/10 would recommend feeding your face here!

After finding out another local seafood restaurant was closed on Tuesdays, we decided to come to King's Fish House. We were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, service, and definitely the food. Ricky Jr. our server gave us some awesome recommendations. He was very pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered macadamia nut crusted wild Pacific halibut and sauteed N'awlins bbq shrimp. Pro tip from Ricky Jr. was substituting the jasmine rice for linguine, this was so good! The halibut was full of sophisticated flavor, so delicious! Based on the recommendation from our good friend Ricky Jr., we went with the butter cake. What a great way to end a meal! I do highly recommend this place, great atmosphere, great food and amazing service!

I’ve been trying to find a good oyster place in Vegas ever since I’ve been to Utah. This place was amazing. The kamamoto was very fresh and did not have the fishy that I’m not fond of. Would go again.

This is my second lunch visit to King’s Fish (I’ve come here both visits from South Africa). It remains a family favourite and great treat! The prices match the quality of the food and great service. The sourdough bread to start is the best you’ll ever taste. The lobster roll, clam chowder and sushi plates were all delicious. I will dream of the lobster sushi roll the most - it’s exceptional and so different to what most sushi restaurants offer. I’m hoping someone in South Africa can recreate that one! Thank you.

Google
King’s certainly doesn’t need any more 5 star reviews. They’ve been here a long time and will stay here because they’re excellent. This review is for the bar dining area. We always go for the bar room. It’s a more intimate setting than the large main dining room. Not a huge fan of the main dining room layout. Too spacious. But the bar…perfect. Seat yourself at the tables but have a host seat you for the booths. They have tables large enough for groups of 4 or more so you don’t really need a booth. Servers are always chill here. Attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is classy, dark heavy wood and dramatic ambient lighting. Great for dates. Patio seems good too if it’s nice out. Food is always better than good. Crab cakes are great as is the clam chowder. Bucatini pasta is excellent, great flavor, large shrimp. They’ll ask if you want bread. Say yes, it’s a delicious warm sourdough. I don’t think they charge extra for it. Prices are fitting for the quality of the food and the lovely atmosphere. Not an inexpensive meal but if you split appetizers and a meal it can be pretty reasonable. Keep doing your thing King’s. Well done.

Yelp
Brandon is excellent here! He is on top of it and pays attention to details! Great waiter! Food here is fab! One of my favorite places in henderson. Get the artichoke and bread

Yelp
I started out with the spicy soup. It was exactly as it said, and it was delicious. I had the New Orleans barbecue shrimp. Now it was not New Orleans in any way shape or form. At least never in my visits to New Orleans. I've been eating there for 50 years. But it was pretty good. But it was overdone. They put it on for 10 minutes it needed 4.

Yelp
When we lived in Orange County, CA, we went to King's Fish House for all of our celebratory meal, anniversaries, holidays, etc. We knew there was one in Henderson but never made the trek until today, our pre-Christmas lunch date. We parked in the back by Lucille's and walked around the front. Just know there are a few entrances as we accidentally entered in the bar. The decor looks the same as it did in CA, fish on the wall, wooden, sleek. We went around 11:15am so they had just opened and it was easy for us to have a booth seat. The menu has changed a bit since we last went and prices have definitely gone up as well. But it was our holiday splurge so we were ready for it. We went with a dozen Kumamoto oysters, I ordered a cup of New England Clam Chowder, Rainbow Roll, and Caterpillar Roll, while my husband had the Wild Ecuadorian Mahi Mahi. Considering it wasn't that crowded service was a little slow. It took about 5 minutes for us to get bread, even though it was warm and didn't disappoint. The oysters came out about 20 minutes after ordering. They were nicely shucked and very clean, and we slurped them down in record time. Even though we like them plain, they do come with cocktail sauce, horseradish, habanero relish, and a classic mignonette. It was another 10 minutes before the mahi mahi, soup, and sushi came out. The portion size definitely looked smaller than we recalled for the price so that's probably the biggest knock. Also the mahi mahi was a bit rubbery. Their clam chowder never fails to hit the spot (she reminded me it has bacon in it and that just makes it so much better). The caterpillar roll was very fresh and the rainbow roll was tasty but didn't come off as fresh as I have had at other places in Vegas. All in all it was solid but didn't leave us anxiously planning another visit. I'm sure the price point never helps especially these days and some of the service and quality wasn't as good as we would have liked. But it still pulls a good clientele and people who are out and about The District.

Yelp
Once again, we met at King Fish House to celebrate a birthday. It was 15 of us this time. The place is convenient, with a delicious and diverse menu, and it's BYOB (bring your own bottle), which makes a huge difference on the bill when not everyone drinks. This time I tried something different than the Miso Yaki Wild Chilean Sea Bass, which was always the to do order. Tonight I ordered the Wild Whole New Zealand Pink Bream. I loved it! One of my friends ordered the Shrimp Bucatini Pasta, also trying something different from what we usually order. These two dishes are now among our favorites. The service was great. There were minor issues, probably due to the size of our table, but they were handled highly professionally and didn't change the excellent service that's always provided. Even when the restaurant is crowded, it feels at home, great people, great ambiance.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I love coming to this spot whenever we're craving good seafood! This time, we decided to sit at the bar for a change of scenery, and it was such a chill Thursday night -- perfect for relaxing and enjoying some good food. I usually go for the crab cakes (they're always a hit!), and this time I paired them with a side of organic rainbow carrots. Let me just say -- those carrots were surprisingly good! They didn't even taste like regular carrots, more like a sweet, roasted veggie treat. Normally I'd order the mixed organic green salad, but I switched things up with the roasted beet salad instead. It was super light and refreshing -- and since I'm a beet lover, I was all about it. The service, as always, was friendly and helpful -- everyone here makes you feel welcome. King Fish definitely stays on our go-to list for laid-back nights, tasty seafood, and great vibes.

Yelp
Excellent service. Excellent food and the ambiance is amazing here, especially the outdoor covered seating. Not only is there a sushi and raw bar, they have a lovely indoor seating area too. The food here is mouthwatering delicious. From the lobster sandwich, to the raw oysters. This place has a lovely selection of fish, crabs, shrimp, burgers, salads, and more.

Yelp
First time here (but been to Vegas area many times). I would actually drive out of Vegas proper to come back to this place. That being said we had a table of 10 for dinner on a Monday evening. All dinners were very good and we had everything from steak to shrimp and scallops to sea bass. Everything was really good and very fresh. A shoutout to our server, Michael, for great service and menu recommendations!

Yelp
It was our first time in this restaurant. There were 3 of us so we ordered 3 entres and one appetizer! The grilled artichoke was not that great!! Burnt leaves !! Not worth the price ! The sea food was fresh and delicious! The whole fish plate seemed too small of a portion for $39. The fish Bream was very small and it almost came with nothing on the side except a little pearl rice and couple of tiny tomatoes. The pearl rice was not even a spoonful!! lol No one can get full on that! The grilled sword fish was delicious and it came with two sides!! The 2lb lobster clam bake was delicious. We loved the butter cake desert. The cocktails were very enjoyable. Our server was attentive and nice.

Yelp
I had a much better experience at King's fish house this visit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the fish tacos and they were great. All the ingredients were very fresh and the portions were large. A great lunch spot in Henderson!

Yelp
Although I've spent many years driving past King's Fish House, today I chose this spot for lunch. The Yelp reviews definitely peaked my interest. Although, the meal and service we received today, left me yearning for more! For starters I ordered 1 pound of cocktail shrimp. Yum-o! Super fresh with a lovely presentation- served on a large tray of nugget ice with a seaweed garnish. 1pound=10 shrimp (accompanied by a tasty cocktail sauce). I also ordered the wild salmon summer salad- simply delish! **I have an allergy to dairy, egg and gluten. The manager stopped by our table to talk about the options for the glaze on my salmon. I was impressed by the knowledge and care taken by the entire staff- thank you! My lunch date ordered Parmesan encrusted Sand dabs. We found this fish compares to a Dover Sole although it's from the Alaskan waters. She throughly enjoyed her meal and dessert! The butter cake looked and smelled incredible- She loved it! Served warm with a dollop of vanilla ice cream and accompanied by fresh berries. The ambience on Thursday afternoon (1:30) very quiet and fairly empty- this spot has some space and a great bar area! *Service was friendly & on point. *Great Gluten free menu *Knowledgeable staff with food allergies. *Outdoor dining in misters.

Yelp
Very nice service, atmosphere, and food. We sat outside on the patio. Misters helped to cool down the ambient air temperature which made sitting on the patio tolerable. We were brought complimentary bread and butter. Tasty. The waiter was considerate and brought us ice water and kept them refilled (as it was hot). He also had a good sense of humor. I ordered the Cobb seafood salad with ranch dressing on the side. Also, the crab cakes. Both dishes were good, although the scallops were bland. My favorite was the crab cake.

Yelp
Been here many times because I had a bunch of gift cards to use, so I was able to try a bunch of different items. The bucatini is the only one I would recommend. 4 stars Bucatini 3 stars Cheeseburger Lobster roll 2 stars Lobster crunchy roll Clam linguini Southwest chicken salad Buffalo wings Tuna Melt Clam Chowder
google avatar

Yelp
I recently visited King's Fish House due to being in the area. We love seafood and wanted to treat ourselves to a nice lunch. I will say that if I ever come back, we will definitely order different meals other than the seafood cobb salad or the "World Class Tuna Melt." First, my husband ordered the cobb salad and while the shrimp were fine, the alleged scallops were "different." They were not recognizable as scallops but more of a fish product. We have no idea what it was. My "World Class Tuna Melt" was far from world class. I am a tuna melt expert, and this was one of the worse versions of a tuna melt that I have ever had. The fries that came with the tuna melt were fine. Also fine was the ahi poke appetizer that we ordered. That is all I can say about the food. The service was nice, prompt and professional. No complaints but that's where two stars came in. Thank you, Karyn. We may return as prior visits were much better. It will be a while knowing there are too many restaurants in Las Vegas to try.

Yelp
On Christmas Eve my family and I visited this location. The waiter was unfriendly and the food was tasteless. I disliked the Farm Mississippi Catfish and the instant mashed potatoes. My daughter disfavored the Clams Linguine. Will not be going back to this restaurant.
google avatar

Malcolm C.

Yelp
This was our first time to this restaurant and the food was absolutely fantastic. What made our lunch so awesome was our server KARYNE! She explained the menu perfectly, made great recommendations, made us laugh, and her service was 5-star all the way. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you're in Henderson by Green Valley Ranch.

Yelp
We did it! Out celebrating a life's dream. We connected with our immediate friends and invited them to our favorite place. We didn't need a reservation but out of respect for the large group, I did make a reservation. We were seated right away. The outside patio was full and the inside filled up. The bar area had a nice crowd also. We ordered a lot of different items: raw, fried, chicken, salad, calamari, Mac and cheese, spinach, (blue cheese and bread were a bonus) mashed potatoes and asparagus. Oh and butter cake with vanilla bean ice cream. Michael was our server. He was excellent! We enjoyed our time. The catfish was different than expected and the team couldn't pull it together but the substitute was very good. Everything was fresh! Everyone said they would return:) The

Yelp
My husband and I passed by this place but haven't tried it until today to celebrate my birthday brunch. Decore and service was very good. Food even better! My meal was recommended by my waiter which I liked the big portion and the food. I am usually not a fan of Mac & Cheese but this is the BEST I ever tasted!! Light but cheesy. I even got free birthday key-lime pie on the house! :) Will be dining again soon!

Yelp
The atmosphere and service were on point--very classy with a nice nautical theme. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the food. I ordered the cioppino with red rock crab, and I had hoped the quality would be fresh. I found a couple of dead mussels that had been cooked with the dish, and some of the shellfish had sand in it, which made it grainy. I also expected more crab pieces, but there were only two. Overall, I was disappointed with the food. The waiter and the atmosphere were wonderful, so when the food quality wasn't up to par, I felt let down.

Yelp
I came to King's on a Friday night with a friend for dinner. The location is great, right in the middle of the district at green valley. The inside was really nice, a great date night spot. Food wise I loved it. They had a nice variety of all types of seafood - hot, cold, shellfish, sushi, baked fish, etc. My favorites were the tuna on crispy rice & the raw scallops. The dessert is also a must! One of the best butter cakes I've had. I hope they open a summerlin location soon!
google avatar

Yelp
This review is based on a single visit on 10/6/2024, and specific to the following menu items: - Beer battered fish and chips: I generally try to avoid fried food (health) but I was in a mood for some hot crispy fried fish and was in the mood to indulge in my craving. King's Fish House's version was good but not spectacular. It did the trick but fell short of wow'ing my taste buds. - Salmon salad: The salmon salad was nice... crunchy lettuce dressed in a punchy vinaigrette, topped with a salmon filet that was well-cooked, spiked with some tangy green apples. Overall, I enjoyed my dinner but don't have a burning desire for a second visit, which is my requirement for a 5-star rating.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious! Interesting and beautiful interior and I can definitely come back. Service was on point and let's talk about the freshness of the food... every single dish we ordered was generous to feed a whole crowd and they are not cheap with their ingredients Love it here

Yelp
I had a fantastic time celebrating my 32nd birthday here, and it was truly amazing! The place was packed with great food, and we had a table reserved. They checked us in right away and gave us a wonderful table, especially since we have an 8-month-old baby. It was a busy Saturday, but they made it very special. I loved the calamari and their classic wedge salad. The filet mignon was perfectly good. The place is always nice, warm and organized.

Yelp
The hot tea is that @kingsfishhouse in Henderson serves up not only the freshest chilled seafood platter, but also the friendliest staff around . It is located in an outdoor shopping center at the corner of the plaza. The inside gives upscale modern seafood restaurant vibes based in NY in a way. We kicked things off with the Oyster Sampler (6 pairs from different regions = flavor adventure). Their complimentary bread & butter? Always a win while waiting on apps. Shrimp lovers, don't skip the Blackened Shrimp Taquitos --perfectly paired with specialty cocktails like the Florida & Prosper For mains, the Fish House Favorites come with two sides--we went with creamy mac & cheese, whipped garlic mashed potatoes (SO good), grilled asparagus, and NW veggies . The steak was cooked to perfection, while the Lemon Nut Crusted Wild Mexican White Sea Bass was just a tad over but still packed with flavor. Pro tip: drizzle their Cajun garlic sauce on everything. It's a safe 2/5 spice level but adds that kick! Overall? $222. Delicious, cozy, and totally worth the bucks . A Henderson gem for seafood + comfort food cravings. Follow @spillthevegastea for more

Yelp
Can't get any fresher than this. By far the best oyster bar in the desert. Service is very good and location is super nice. Highly recommend this place, whether you're a local or tourist. Thank you.

Yelp
I thought I'd update my review since I had another amazing meal here. Twyla was our server and she's wonderful. She is super friendly, attentive, and just really knows her stuff. We went on a Tuesday around 6:30pm and it wasn't busy. My BF had heard about a Lobster Clam Bake they had on the menu and decided that is what he was getting. It's 1.5lb steamed lobster, clams, mussels, andouille sausage, corn on the cob, and potatoes...and of course the melted butter. It was definitely a beautiful seafood presentation. I went with what I always get, the Parmesan Crusted Sand Dabs. I haven't ordered anything else here because it truly is my favorite. Plus the fact I don't see Sand Dabs often on menus. It has a mild, sweet fish flavor. It's soft and flaky and the parmesan crust pairs perfectly with it; along with capers and drizzle of a lemon butter sauce. You choose your sides...that part I change up a little. King's has become one of our regular spots.

Yelp
This is my second time at King's Fish House, and it didn't disappoint. We had reservations, and good thing we did, it was a bit crowded. The service was ok, nothing great, very straight forward. We ordered a dozen Kumamoto oysters that was really good! Slightly briny, slightly sweet, ice cold goodness! Came with a few different sauce, which were delicious. We also ordered 3 mains, which are in the pics that are attached. The food was very good, not too expensive, and the portions are fair. Everything was tasty and all the fish and seafood tasted very clean and fresh! Only ordered 1 creme brulee that was shared because we full, but just wanted a little something sweet.

Yelp
always an amazing experience at King's! been one of our go to's for a long time! great for date night. cocktails are good and reasonably priced. never had bad service here. fresh, warm bread to start off. their oyster selection is good and they are indeed delightful, love all the fixins they serve the oysters with as well! the grilled octopus appetizer is to die for. my partner and i split the fish n chips for two, both the fries and the fish were HOT and CRISPY.

Yelp
6:00 PM dinner for four. Greeted and seated immediately. Brandon is a good server. Everyone enjoyed their food which included Clam Chowder, Albacore Roll, Octopus Caponata, Fish Tacos, Scallops and grilled Swordfish. The bread and butter were good. Large glasses of water but customers must ask for straws. I chose to have my Fish Tacos "blackened" style. The flavor was so mild that I thought the kitchen forget to blacken my swordfish. The tacos were VERY full; two very generous tacos. I ate one. I started to eat the second one but was getting full, so I ate just the fish with a fork. That allowed me to see that there was in fact some seasoning on the fish but it was definitely not Paul Prudhomme-style "blackened fish." That stuff kicks butt in the best possible way. This did not. Very bland; why bother? I saw several things on the menu that I would order; we're thinking that it won't be so long until our next visit. Dinner for four, which included one bowl of Chowder, an Albacore Roll, four entrees, two beers and three glasses of wine was just under $200 before tax and tip.

Yelp
Pretty unimpressed overall with quality of good. I really used to enjoy it but it seems to have declined. Fish quality was low and overall flavor was lacking. Ambiance is still on point with good modern vibes full bar to set the tone for a good night out in the Green Valley district.
google avatar

Yelp
It's rare to find a place that provides quality, healthy options with great service and a fine ambience. Our meal was a winner. Cory assisted with excellent service, attentive but not overbearing. Erwin is a caring manager that insured we were satisfied. Give this establishment a chance and you'll be satisfied.

Tiffany C.

Yelp
The food was unexpectedly delicious. I started with the Kumamoto oysters, which were incredibly fresh. The Trout Amandine that followed was flavorful and paired nicely with fried cauliflower and garlic mashed potatoes. My friend ordered the macadamia nut crusted halibut with rainbow carrots and garlic mashed potatoes, and we both cleaned our plates without leaving a single crumb. I actually wished I had ordered the halibut too because it tasted amazing. Sam was our waiter, and he was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service.

Yelp
I have never had a bad meal here my husband and I love going there. We love the ambience. The food is delicious and we love the shrimp taquitos

Yelp
After a long drive from PHX to the Las Vegas area, we stopped here for food. The macadamia nut halibut was enough for a 5 star. Plain and simple. Our server was also one of the friendliest people I have ever met. Will be back.

Yelp
Service: The service was pretty slow, but it was a busy Saturday with a full house, so it's understandable. The staff was friendly, just not very quick. Ambiance: The ambiance is casual, but we chose to sit on the patio because the noise level inside was way too loud for us. The patio had a much more relaxed vibe, which we appreciated. Food: * King Crab Cake: Pretty decent. The crab itself was sweet, and the outside had a nice crunch. Not mind-blowing, but solid. * Grilled Artichoke: For $16, I'd say you could skip this. It wasn't bad, just not worth the price. * Walnut Salad: The balsamic vinegar was way too sour, completely overpowering the rest of the salad. * Hibiscus Limeade: So sour it practically knocked me out with every sip! My soul left my body with each gulp, but if you love super tart drinks, this might be for you. * Dozen Oysters: These were great--fresh, sweet, and had a nice mild aftertaste. Definitely a highlight. * African Lobster Tail: It looked amazing, but the taste didn't quite meet our expectations. Overall, the food was mostly good, but there were a few misses. Not a bad experience, but next time I'd probably pick and choose more carefully from the menu. That captures everything, including the good and the bad!

Yelp
Love this restaurant! I have strict diet and they were very helpful with offering me suggestions for a substitute. I can't do fried cauliflower, so the person who took my order said they could make steamed cauliflower. Also, they cook most their foods in olive oil. Huge plus in my book. The staff is always pleasant. The food is delicious. I ordered the trout because I never had it before. It was very tasty. I'll be getting that again for sure.

Yelp
Thanks to server Michael, our faith in King's Fish House has been restored. Unlike what we encountered last time, Michael was fun, personable, informative and attentive. The top-notch food and atmosphere are a given. The crab cakes are the best I've ever had and the scallops were perfectly cooked. King's Fish House has become our go-to restaurant when we are in Las Vegas.

Yelp
We returned for lunch, and again enjoyed complimentary Sourdough Bread which was denser than usual. A Side Salad was good, but the Thousand Island Dressing over it was extremely light. For mains I chose Trout Amandine, and Diane selected Panko Fried Shrimp. The Trout, with fine Lemon Butter Sauce, was delicious. French Fries were excellent. But Coleslaw was not very creamy. Service by Sharon was praiseworthy, and the rustic surroundings in a plush booth peaceful. My abbreviated meal was fine for lunch. But when I come again it will be for dinner, and will include a Bowl of New England Clam Chowder and a Shrimp Cocktail with Wild Jumbo Mexican Shrimp. XXXX-1/2 overall!

Yelp
We love King's! They are consistently very good and we always enjoy our meal. The clam chowder is one of our favorites. We have noticed that the portions seem to have gotten smaller though, as the same dabs used to come with 3 pieces of fish but the last couple of times only had 2 pieces. The service is decent most times but occasionally can be a little slow. It's always a pleasant environment and usually fairly crowded inside. I wish there was one in Summerlin area though!

Yelp
I had a comp night at Green Valley Ranch and I decided to find something in the District. I was totally unfamiliar with the District, but from Yelp I knew it was a short walk from GVR to King's. I was seated quickly and my server, Adam, brought my iced tea and offered to answer any questions I had about the menu. He gave me a chance to study the offerings and then returned. I had changed my mind three times while I was perusing the menu. The question I had was the size of a cup of the chowder. I ordered the King's spicy seafood chowder and the wild Mexican swordfish. Before the chowder came, Adam brought some bread and the butter was soft. Perfect for spreading. In due time, the chowder came. It was quite good, but to me it was not spicy. I almost asked for some hot sauce, but I decided to enjoy the flavors of the chowder without the heat of some hot sauce. Then came the dinner. With the fish, you get two sides. I chose cauliflower and asparagus. Asparagus is considered a premium side and there is an up charge which is on the menu if you look. The swordfish was blackened, at Adam's suggestion, and it was excellent! The cauliflower had a lemon tahini sauce that added to the flavor. The asparagus was topped with a balsamic glaze. I generally avoid balsamic because I'm not a fan of its sweetness but it paired very well with the asparagus. The blackened swordfish was wonderful. Soft and most, it was cooked perfectly! Of course, dinner wouldn't be complete without dessert. When Adam dropped off the menu, he mentioned his favorite was the "hooked on butter cake." I took his suggestion and again he was right on! A round of tasty cake with a small cup on top that had some sweetened cream in it. This was topped with whipped cream. On the side were some fresh berries. It was a light and tasty ending to a fine dinner. I am firmly a meat eater. I surprised myself when I decided to go to King's. I am so glad I did. Adam was one of those first rate servers who knows the menu, makes good suggestions, and is very pleasant! I think this meat eater will have to go back to the District for another stop at King's.

Yelp
Haven't been here in 3 years and decided to try it again after shopping. Had the lobster roll and clam chowder..the soup was excellent. The cocktail called Pacific Avenue was great...order if you like a lemony drink. And for dessert got the chocolate cake..very decadent. The atmosphere was nice for the holidays with a lighted Christmas tree at the host stand. Overall a great time.

Yelp
We have been to King's many times over the years. The restaurant has outdoor seating and a large bar separate from the main dining area. Parking at the District is not the best, but it is free. It is great that King's posts their daily menu on its website. You can check to see if the dish you would like is available that day. Great warm sourdough bread is served before your meal. My wife loves the Sand Dabs, and since we never see them at any other restaurant, she always orders them. She said they were as good as they always are. I enjoyed my Macademia Nut Crusted Halibut. The portion was huge and cooked perfectly. We tried the flash-fried cauliflower, which was very good, definitely would order it again. The mac and cheese was basic, but was really enhanced with crunchies on top. The brussels sprouts are good and have a lot of bacon pieces in them. King's is a very fine seafood restaurant with an excellent menu selection. The service has always been fine and we enjoy going there.

Yelp
Wow and cheers to the fresh lobsters! Cant have enough of them! 12 pcs all gone in less a minute with three of us chomping away! Wait... where did it all go??? The English Clam Chowder is one of the best we've ever had! The Chilean sea bass was good, too! We will be back!

Yelp
4/12/2024- We've always walked by but never had the chance to stop in.. Last night in town and made a reservation with Open Table.. Friday night... insanely busy and great vibes.. Sever Sam --was great! Menu has a variety of items to choose from.. Ordered: Crunchy Roll- saw a fellow Yelper liked the roll..so I had to try..! Never would think to get sushi in a seafood restaurant.. but it was really good- Dh got the clam linguini- better than the other establishment - and generous amount of clams and the sauce was light.. Sourdough bread was also good- ! Ordered the seafood platter- all fried and very good- Coleslaw could really use a makeover-- no flavor.. Another great meal!

Yelp
King's Fish House is top notch in service and food! I really enjoyed my dinner here. They start with some complimentary bread - yum. We started with their salad with a golden dressing. Greens are nice, vegetables are shaved so the look and texture is pleasing. The dressing I'm not sure what it tastes like but it's heavy on olive oil taste. I just do a light drizzle and it's good! We ordered two Wild Alaskan Halibuts and it came with an orange sauce - it was so good. The piece is a generous portion and filling. The sides we got spinach (it's garlicky - so make sure you like garlic), the baked potato is big and comes with your traditional fixings, and the cauliflower had a fresh lemony sauce on it and was really delicious! We were both too full for dessert but I know they have good sweets as well!

Yelp
Kind of exactly what you expect for this type of restaurant. Went on Mother's Day, located in an outlet plaza shopping mall area. Inside of the restaurant was a bit dark but the vibe was similar to a slightly better Red Lobster. I understand it's a seafood/fish house restaurant but for how expensive it was for Oysters/Lobster Rolls/Clam Chowder etc. - I would expect the food to match in quality. All entrees/appetizers were average at best. Our waitress was nice but was a bit hard to get attention from any of the servers when it got busy.

Yelp
This place has been here for a long time and we decided to stop by. What a pleasant surprise. This place is a neighborhood gem! We were greeted by a friendly hostess that seated as promptly. An older lady with short hair came to the table but it turned out she was just starting the table for another server. Her up selling game was very strong to the point of almost annoying. I will give her props though. The other server was very nice and personable. We started off with the artichokes and beet salad. They brought some of their fresh sourdough to the table with salted butter and it was amazing. For dinner, but the wife had the grilled, wild Mexican shrimp and I had the Eastern sea scallops. We shared the sweet buttered corn, Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, and charbroiled zucchini. I have to say, every single thing we have was delicious and cooked perfectly. The shrimp and scallops were the best I've ever had. You can tell they're very fresh. But the skills of the chefs that cooked them really shined. That goes for the sides too, everything was great. We will definitely be back.
