Phoenix’s Essential Seafood Restaurants

"The Tempe location of California-based King’s Fish House sits adjacent to an actual body of water, Tempe Town Lake. However, the restaurant’s sizable menu has enough to stand as a seafood go-to even without the aquatic vibes. Check out the daily selection with both Pacific and Eastern seaboard oysters, along with live Dungeness crab from Oregon and California spiny lobster. The informative menu also designates which options are caught wild and which are farm-raised." - Asonta Benetti

It has been one of my favourite places growing up. Every time my family and I visit Phoenix, I can't miss the time going to this amazing restaurant, which is always good and always never disappoints. I love their King Crabs with the sides of MacNChees and asparagus. Their calamari is amazing. Sadly, they removed their original seafood combo. My family and I used to order two of them every time for our appetizer; if this original dish was back, it would make the experience 10 times better. Their sushi is fresh and always tasty. Not to mention, their starter Sourdough Bread is always exceptional. The place is really pretty; definitely, somewhere you enjoy being at. The environment is perfect as well with the good service. You're paying for what you're getting. Wish they have one of these in Canada!

Google
Great service. They have a variety of children's meals which is nice if your kids don't like fish. I had the salmon with brussels sprouts which was delicious. The waitress was very nice and efficient. I would like to plan to go back again. They also have live lobsters and crabs in a tank.

My fiancé and I ordered Sasimi and That quality was bad. It was thin and especially Tuna color was changed and dried up. Salmon was broken off and old. But worst was radishes ( Daikon) under the Sashimi was spoiling. I think it was amateur work. Albacore Tataki was good. Server was nice. From a professional perspective, Sashimi needs fresh fish, It’s not like topping for sushi. Better not serve raw fishes.

I'm sure this restaurant is liked by many patrons, but I cannot give this location higher than 3 stars. Maybe I went on an off day or something; but the service was relatively poor, and pretty much everything we ate was burned except for the bread. While the server was fairly attentive, the food took no less than 30 minutes to arrive, despite there only being about 8 other tables there at 7:30pm. Also, I personally think it's a little odd that this restaurant closes as early as 9pm, especially on the weekends. I don't really have much else to say. The food was expensive, the portion sizes were meager, I don't believe the cost to experience ratio was fair, and I don't believe I'll be returning. The experience was different from a lot of other seafood restaurants, but it wasn't "better" in any way.

Google
This place is truly 10 stars. Awesome food, awesome service, place was just magnificent. Got the whole fish - it was to die for. Brought home chocolate cake, key line pie & catfish. Everything there is soooooo good. Everything cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this place.

Google
What a great experience — we’re already looking forward to coming back! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with enthusiasm and energy, which made us feel truly welcomed and valued. Marissa was our waitress, and despite it being a slower time of day, she was upbeat and attentive — a refreshing change from the usual sluggish service you see during off-hours. Management even stopped by to check on us, which we appreciated. And the food? Absolutely outstanding.

Google
First time here and the food was so amazing! Clam chowder was 👩🏼‍🍳💋. Fish and chips on point! Nikki was our server and she was sooo good! And I’m a server so I can appreciate this biz. She knows her food and was fun to chat with. Will def be back. And OMG Butter cake. That’s it. Just do it. Don’t think. 🤤

Google
Terrific restaurant. I was visiting a friend in Tempe and she took me here; it was a great choice. We both ordered sand dabs (which are not easy to find, even in major fish restaurants). The fish was cooked to perfection and we each ordered different sides, all of them top-notch. (And the bread is yummy.) Our server, Emory, was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Yelp
It's been about 3 years since I was here last and the experience definitely lived up to the memories and the expectations! I had the Colombian Farmed Tilapia with Mac n Cheese and Garlic Mashed Potatoes! It was all delicious! The tilapia had perfect grill marks while still being perfectly pull-apart. Last time I was here, I wasn't very impressed with the Mac n Cheese, but this time it was fantastic! The Garlic Mashed Potatoes were also delicious; I honestly think it was the perfect combination for the the Tilapia and Mac n Cheese! It was a very complimentary meal as far as flavor and textured are concerned. I also had the Clam Chowder and it was also delicious; nice large chucks of clam! Our service was good, the waiter did a good job of keeping our drinks refilled for the most part. I missed having the Crème Brûlée, but we tried the Butter Cake and it was really good! Food: 5/5 Stars Service: 4/5 Stars Ambiance: 5/5 Stars Wow Factor: Mac N Cheese: it was so creamy and perfectly al dente! 5/5 Stars Overall: 5/5 Stars King's is definitely the place to go for great seafood!

Yelp
This is an updated review from 5months ago when we first came to the Tempe Franchise . We usually come up to Scottsdale every 6 months or so and decided to give the Arizona Kings Fish House another go . Service was good . I don't mind waiting a bit between drinks , appetizers and entrées. I do appreciate a long dinner. I know some people want to be served water and cocktails the first 5 minutes they sit down but I like a little wait it makes the dinner drawn out and enjoyable . (That's my opinion ) . Our waiter a tall gentleman was courteous and took care of our table perfectly. For appetizers , my kid had clam chowder , they loved the flavor and was seasoned well . My husband and I shared the oyster sampler. These oysters AS ALWAYS (both Tempe and Carlsbad locations) were soooo fresh ! Amazing ! For entrees : Cioppino : nice leg of crab , lots of fish, mussels, clams and calamari ! It was Devine . Grilled yellowtail with mash potatoes and Mac : grilled perfectly , Mac and cheese was creamy . Playing was not on point . Very messy needed some color like chopped parsley or a green garnish for looks . Mahi mahi with roasted carrots, and mash potatoes : fish was cooked perfect . Roasted carrots were overdone . Both entrées that had the garlic mashed potatoes in the picture they don't look very appetizing because it's just splattered on the plate. They were actually really good had good flavor good garlic taste we're very creamy maybe the presentation needs to be or put a garnish of parsley. Overall our second time dining at the Kings Fish House franchise in Tempe Arizona was better than the first time as far as flavors with the meals, which was our big concern that we had five months ago. Only thing I felt Kingfish House could improve on, is garnishing or presentation of the plates. We will be back again. Everyone enjoy their meals. Good flavor, good company, good service and ambience.

Yelp
We used to dine at King's Fish House fairly frequently over the past few years. It had been a few months, but we ate there last night. We were sadly disappointed. The restaurant was busy but not full. The positives - we were seated quickly and our waiter was nice. The oysters were delicious too. The negatives - it took over 10 mins to even get water and I had to ask for refill towards the end of the meal. We ordered an additional sushi appetizer that came after the meal was served even though my son asked for it first. To their credit, they comped it off the bill. He ordered a burger, which was fine. I ordered grilled scallops, which are often my go-to meal at seafood restaurants. I never leave any on my plate because I love them so much. Last night, however, I left some on the plate and gave away a couple. They were a bit overcooked, which made them rubbery, and the amount of pepper the chef used made them absolutely awful. The black pepper was all I could taste. My husband ordered grilled salmon, his normal go-to order as well, and it was just blah. We both ordered loaded baked potatoes and had to ask for more sour cream because they put very little on. The asparagus we ordered was ok. We were just really disappointed because King's used to be so good, a place we could always count on having a great meal.

Yelp
Food is always pretty good when we come here. Service was good and restaurant is very clean. Quiet and was seated quickly

Yelp
Service was great! We sat on the patio and ordered a little bit of everything! The sushi rolls were delicious and were shared then all!

Yelp
As always Kings Fish House does not miss! I got the 1st Mate Shellfish platter and it was perfect. My wife got the 2 piece fish and chips and said it was pretty darn perfect. Service was fantastic. We had David as our server and his customer service was superb. He was stated he was in training and you wouldn't have even known. Highly Recommend this location to all seafood lovers.

Yelp
First time visiting King Fish, friend recommended. Upon entering the ambulance was dark casual. Made a reservation and got seated right away. Server took awhile to come and greet the table. We did let her know it was our first time and was open to suggestions. She made a few. We had two of their speciality cocktails both were delicious, just small. Food, calamari, for an appetizer, it was ok lack flavor. For dinner, blackened salmon with garlic mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts. Hubby had the halibut and garlic mashed potatoes, server recommendation. Both were good, halibut, a little small for $40. All in all, everything was just ok.

Yelp
Overall, King's Fish House in Tempe is very mediocre. The good: The restaurant is large so we got a table right away (definitely didn't need our reservation). The serve complimentary warm sourdough bread and butter upon being seated. The Miso Yaki Wild Chilean Sea Bass was amazing and they even split the dish so my mom and I could share the entree. If you're contemplating a dessert, get the butter cake!! It was warm, salty, buttery, sweet and delicious. The sushi we ordered was delicious, especially the crispy leeks on top! The bad: The crispy calamari appetizer was fishy. Whenever we see calamari on an appetizer menu, we typically order it so we've had our fare share of good and bad calamari. This was one of the worst we've had -- good calamari isn't fishy so steer clear and don't order this. The grilled asparagus wasn't cooked long enough and too crunchy. The organic rainbow carrots were cut evenly causing some to be cooked perfectly and others to be very undercooked and crunchy. Overall, I'm glad we tried it, but I think King's Fish House is overrated and not worth the price.

Yelp
I LOVE this place and I hate that it's so far from where I live. I won't go anywhere else for oysters besides one other place. However I still prefer kings fish house. Their service is great. It's not too noisy. Every dish I have had has been amazing. I feel like I have had a foodgasm if anyone has ever seen the anime food wars, it's like that for me. This is a 1000 out of 10. I'm not a picky person but I know good food. The only other person who makes good food like this is my husband. So I'm impressed. I've only been here 4 times. But I crave it all the time lol. I definitely recommend this place for sure. I look forward to the next time I am here.

Yelp
It was ok.. nothing that special when compared to offerings in Oregon and Washington... kind of expensive and just mediocre.

Yelp
The service was impeccable and the food was excellent. The atmosphere is great too! We had the sushi sampler and the seafood sampler.

Yelp
Pleasant meal. Good atmosphere. Our waitress knew a lot about oysters. Worth stopping by

Yelp
Eating seafood in the desert will never cease to amuse me though it's been rightly pointed out that the ocean isn't that far away, so for a group dinner we opted for King's Fish House. Making reservations for a large party was a super breeze as I was able to book through Open Table. I could even decide whether we wanted inside or out and I selected outside. I figured even tho it was getting cold by Phoenix standards most of the team was from much colder locations and it would be comfortable. It completely was! The patio was very nice, it was bright even when the sun set, and it was very comfortable. The menu has a wide selection of dishes and be seen online. Our waitress told us which items were seasonal and which were favorites that would never leave. I opted for the Sautéed N'Awlins BBQ Shrimp, a half dozen oysters, and the Herbalist cocktail. The oysters were great. Deep cups, fresh, and wonderful. They had a nice variety as well! I had it in my head that "N'Awlins" indicated that the sauce would have a kick but no such luck. The sauce was a pleasant soft sauce that gave a bit of citrus brightness but didn't make me want more. The rice was a bit dry but mixed with the sauce it was much better. The shrimp, tho, were perfectly cooked as I could easily cut them with a fork. The Herbalist was another highlight. It was a gin, basil, mint, and lime - very easy to drink, bright, delicious drink. Everyone who had a cocktail raved how good they were. Our waitress was fantastic. She knew the menu comprehensively, made great recommendations, stopped by just enough, and had us all laughing several times over. She made the restaurant very warm and welcoming. I really enjoyed my time here!

Yelp
So I came back. It's been a while but I got a gift card for this place so I decided to try it again. This time around was really good. I got the fish and chips, because I like that and it was perfect t. Nice fluffy cod and not overly battered or greasy. The fried were cooked right and paired nicely with the tartar sauce. Service was good no issue there. It took three tries but I guess third times a charm! Pictures are from a hold review. Resume the cod this time was bomb.
google avatar

Yelp
A delicious dinner before a show at Gammage. We got the N'Awlins BBQ shrimp for an appetizer and it was delicious. Then my husband and I both had the blackened Mahi Mahi. It was spicy and yummy. The garlic mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts were so good. My daughter ordered buffalo wings for her meal and the buffalo sauce was very good as well. I dipped my brussel sprouts in her blue cheese....so good.

Yelp
My parm crusted sanddabs w/ capers was delicious. I had yummy garlic mashed & tasty spinach. It was a nice surprise to get warm sourdough bread & butter. Angelie was a very experienced and impressive waitress. We had good service. Though the I inside of restaurant looked fun,it was delightful weather outside. We'd return if in Tempe again.

Yelp
We have been wanting to try this place. Went in today super early (12pm) and no reservations needed nor wait in line. We all ordered fish...as you probably should here. We were all satisfied. We had the oyster sampler, i tried the wild sea bass, others had trout, catfish and tilapia. All off the grill and we literally cleaned our plates-veggies included. If you are in the mood for fish- check this place out. Price was average and slightly cheaper than i anticipated. We paid under $200 for 4 adults and 1 child (a child who eats sushi ), plus an appetizer and 0 alcohol.

Yelp
Great food at very high prices. This is a chain, and while the seafood we ate was fresh, the prices were a tad out of whack. Let's hit the food. The spouse had the crab cakes as her appetizer, she liked them, and mentioned she could taste the crab bits. I went with clams (cold apps). A six pack. It comes with warm butter and they have been pre-grit removed. The sauces they noted the flavors of each, but they showed seven which is impressive since you only get 6 clams. One sauce was if you just had a lot of little onions in a sauce. I passed. I just went with the cocktail sauce and warm butter. The shredded horseradish had zero flavor, and reminded me too much of shredded wheat. The other sauces I can't rrecall. Clearly memories were not needed. On the mains, she had a salad with chicken I think (she isn't a fish or shellfish person), I on the other hand had the grilled shrimp blackened. The sides I selected was corn on the cob shelled, which looked like they took a can of corn and emptied it in a bowl. Yes, I'm sure it was the corn cob, because canned corn doesn't look fresh, and this was. The other was Sautéed spinach, lite on garlic. The shrimp were good, but the blackened seasoning reminded me of Old Bay, because it was really salty, and Old Bay is the same. Both pull the blackened angle. I thought about removing one star for the sodium infusion. Parking stinks. It's in that big plaza of stores, so go around it and park behind it, across the road in another store area. Plenty of spots there and a few minutes that's it, to get to the King here. Oh, I made a reservation for 6 pm on a Sundwy and was surprised to see how it wasn't even close to being busy. In fact it just never got busy. Anyway, always best to make a reservation on weekend eves.

Yelp
This place has an odd atmosphere. When we visited for dinner on a weekday, the restaurant was completely empty, with only our table occupied. Despite this, there was only one server who seemed to be absent for most of our visit. At times, it felt like he might have also been handling kitchen duties, as he disappeared for extended periods while there were no other tables to attend to. While the food was passable, nothing stood out, and the bread left much to be desired, tasting unpleasantly like it had been made with subpar water. The only highlight was the ranch dressing. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

Yelp
Had dinner the other night at King's Fish House in Tempe. The staff was friendly and effecient ... Timber was the best! The place was spotless, with a very nice atmosphere. The food was great. We started off with the 1st Mate platter, which was fresh and delicious. I had the shrimp and scallops and my girlfriend had the Cobb Salad, which was huge! Everything was prepared perfectly and presented very nicely. We even had the Key Lime pie ... which was the bomb!
google avatar

Anfeca A.

Yelp
This is a nice place for a date night. My boyfriend took me out for a surprise and I enjoyed the Alaskan halibut and clam chowder. For being in the desert it tasted fresh and we will be back.
google avatar

Judy L.

Yelp
Came here with the family to celebrate my sister in laws birthday, she LOVES seafood! The restaurant itself was nice and spacious but it was so sad during lunch on a Saturday, it is DEAD! Hardly anyone was there. The service was OK, then it tapped-er to super slow. The was mediocre and overpriced but is a seafood place in Arizona. Beer Battered Fish And Chips (Wild Pacific cod, fries, tartar sauce) is what I got and it was just meh. I tasted my dad's Wild Ross Sea Chilean Sea Bass with Grilled Asparagus & Sweet Buttered Corn that was actually good. Maybe I ordered the wrong dish.
google avatar

Kathy O.

Yelp
Clam chowder was delicious. Chilean sea bass entree' grilled with blackened seasoning, a side of steamed garlic spinach, and grilled zucchini with olive oil drizzle, was delicious. Indoor and outdoor dining. Nikki was our server--Attentive, helpful and knowledgeable of menu items. We would return
google avatar

Tiana E.

Yelp
I came for a work dubbed and it was alright. The bread was great, clam chowder was okay and the salmon sushi wasn't bad but definitely wasn't the best I've ever had. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food though.
google avatar

Natasha L.

Yelp
The restaurant is large and spacious. The menu is quite expansive, which can sometimes be a problem. We ordered Dungeness crab and the Ciopinno with Dungeness crab. The Dungeness itself was very overcooked. Much of the meat was inedible. The Ciopinno was delicious. The saffron broth stole the show! When the manager stopped by to ask how our meal was, we did inform him of the crab. Our waitress, Timber, let us know that dessert would be complimentary due to the poorly cooked crab. We opted for the butter cake. The cake is delicious, but a tad on the sweet side. We still enjoyed it, despite that. My husband said he would go back, and I would not. A seafood place should certainly know how to prepare crab properly.

Yelp
Made reservations for 930pm and to our surprise we where told upson arrival that's they close at 10:00pm which is very weird that on Open table the website takes reservations up too 10:00pm. That possibly should be changed !!!!!! But never the less we where seated and our server was the manager and another server who where very nice and extremely accommodating.!!! we got two drinks, dark and stormy and a NYC sour both great!!! The food : Sour dough bread for the table New England clam chowder 3 out of 5 for taste mahi mahi with pasta 2out 5 for taste Sword fish with garlic mash and mixed carrots: 2out of 5 All of it was very bland and the platting for the sword fish wasn't appealing either. If it wasn't for the amazing service this would be a 0stats Ambiance was nice. They had a cute patio setting on the perimeter of the restaurant

Yelp
My husband and I love coming here for date nights. The food is delicious and reasonably priced and we always have great service.
google avatar

Sasha P.

Yelp
We came here for Valentine's (our third time here). It was so delicious! We ordered the salmon and bass, both were perfect. The Brussels sprouts were some of the best we have ever had. We also ordered the shrimp taquitos and the key lime pie. We were so pleased with the food! Our server, Nikki, was so on top of our orders and consistently checked in on us. Overall, great spot that's a good price and good food. Love the vibe and art on the walls!
google avatar

Gene T.

Yelp
I really enjoyed it! Mimosa had fresh orange juice. Service was good. Oysters were fresh and wonderful tasting. Sea bass perfect.

Jake K.

Yelp
Absolutely disgusting. The worst seafood I've had in Arizona and it's not even close. I tried the dungeness crab, rainbow trout, swordfish, and mixed greens salad. They were all terrible.
google avatar

Tawnia M.

Yelp
We've been to King's Fish House in Carlsbad, CA and wanted to try the one in Tempe. I'm glad we did! Great hostess and waitress service, very friendly. My husband had the Louie salad and I had a burger. We also shared shrimp taquitos. Everything was delicious, my burger especially was juicily satisfying -cooked to perfection!
google avatar

Stan F.

Yelp
3rd or 4th time here. Have had great meals each time. This trip, sea bass and a halibut special. Delicious. Sides were baked potatoes, grilled zucchini, and asparagus. Had clam chowder to start. The clam chowder is some of the best we've had in Phoenix. See you next time!
google avatar

Carolyn J.

Yelp
This place is amazing. I have been to the Long Beach location. But good seafood in Arizona is hard to come by. The oysters were fresh, shucked right there and the shrimp appetizer was so good. Had a little heat. I can't wait to come back! We sat at the bar and everyone working was so welcoming and the conversations flowed. Finally, a good place with amazing staff!
google avatar

Jane M.

Yelp
I'm upgrading my review from last time. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I started with the prawn taquitos and then had crab cakes and fries. Was so in the mood for it. It did not disappoint. My companion had oysters to begin with and a poke appetizer. He enjoyed it very much. Our waitress was super friendly and nice so much so that we asked to see the manager sing her praises.was a glorious day to sit on the patio!

Mr B.

Yelp
We were regulars at Kings Fish House when we lived in Carlsbad, California We came here the other night as I saw they had live softshell crabs. We always sit at the bar and enjoy talking to fellow diners in the bartenders. Sadly, these bartenders were not hospitable and didn't spend time to talk to us and chat us up. Two of them spent most of their free time talking to each other, and the third one spent time talking to the regulars On a positive note, the food was excellent . My wife thought their clam chowder was the best she's ever had and it taste just like the recipe we used to have in Carlsbad. However, many restaurants have excellent food and we go there for the full dining experience and we felt shortchanged at the bar at King Fish House, Tempe
google avatar

Mario C.

Yelp
Great experience! Our bartenders Devon and Steven took care of us. Had the Peruvian scallops and Kumamoto oysters . Dirty martinis with Tito's, hand stuffed olives! ‍‍‍. Sit at the bar!!!!

Lexii G.

Yelp
I adore this place Never goes wrong even if there's a wait The staff is amazing and up most beat with customers needs It's always Vibe on a Saturday when Marisa and Steven were so awesome and Nick killed the oysters platter This place never disappoints

Holly H.

Yelp
First time at this restaurant and it was a great experience. The environment is comfortable. Not too loud, booth was comfortable. Our server was excellent. She appeared when we needed her but wasn't a pest. Made good suggestions and everything was well presented and served hot. Husband had sea bass and said it was perfect. I had salmon grilled exactly how I like it. Sides were also good, with portions just right in size. We saw lots of other things we want to try and planning another date night soon!
google avatar

Yelp
My wife and I didn't want to cook so I decided to take her out for some Lobster Rolls and oysters at Kings fish house. I mentioned last time that they were out of the Rolls so my wife's original order couldn't be completed. No such issues this time! In fact we both tried the Lobster Rolls and the were worth the wait! I tied mine with Brown Butter and my wife went traditional. Both styles were fantastic! Oh and as I mentioned in my last review the oysters were to die for! Jessica our server really took care of us. Can't wait to come back.
google avatar

Melissa G.

Yelp
Had a nice dinner at Kings Fish House at Tempe marketplace. The ambiance was like a typical seafood restaurant nothing special. I ordered the N'awlins Bbq Shrimp entree and it was really good just very rich!! We also got the Halibut, Sand Dabs, and the Blackened Ono Sandwich! Everyone really enjoyed their meal. My Mother in Law loved the Ono Sandwich so much that she went back the next weekend and ordered it again! I thought my husbands Halibut portion was pretty small though. It's pretty expensive and no happy hour so perfect for a special occasion;)
google avatar

Yelp
I've been to King's twice now and both times were great. The first time I was with my family and we tried a little bit of everything. The calamari and wings were among our favorites, and my husband loved his soft shell crab. The kids had fish and chips and fries shrimp which were really yummy. My kids also enjoyed seeing the lobster tank and one of the servers even took one out so they could get a closer look! My second visit was with a group of friends. There's a yummy strawberry vodka drink which was my favorite. Again we ordered so many different things but the sushi, sea bass, salmon, and butter cake stood out. Love the food and the service is always excellent!

Yelp
King's Fish House responded to my last review of them, which was not a very good review to say the least. I have to now give credit, where credit is due. I was first contacted by Michelle and after a couple of communications she reached out to her corporate office to her credit and this engaged an entire team of collaborators, from the person that initially served our bread that night up to district and corporate employees. We were invited to try their restaurant again and we accepted their invitation to dine in once again. We personally met Michelle, Trevor, and our Server (Timber). We also met another person that we assumed was management who was mainly stationed at the hostess desk, and to top it off we met Jenny who served us the bread on our first visit. We were concerned that our experience would be awkward with overly accommodating us. This was not the case at all. We met all of these team members and they made us feel very comfortable. They were THE MOST pleasant, warm, and inviting group of people we had ever met. We enjoyed their brief introductions, and professional and polished demeanors. I have to say that their collaboration and team work amongst themselves were far above stellar, and very impressive. Now! With that said. Lets talk about dinner service and the food! My wife ordered from the grill side menu, the "Shrimp and Scallop Combo." She also ordered the baked potato and a mixed green salad. Everything was beyond perfection! Her shrimp and her scallops were THE BEST she and I had ever tasted. It came with a buttered, slightly garlic sauce to dip the shrimp and after the first taste I would have to say that it was pure joy! Her salad was fresh and the baked potato was crusted with salt and was superb! She was soooo happy and enjoyed her entire meal immensely! As for my meal. Once I tasted a little of her food I was eagerly anticipating how my meal would turn out. So, I ordered the "King's Combo Platter." They hit this dish out of the ballpark as well. The fried beer battered fish, fried scallops, and fried shrimp were simply amazing. I also ordered a mixed green salad, a baked potato and the King's Spicy Seafood Chowder! Every item was prepared with precision execution! By the way, the chowder was savory and delicious. We also ordered two cocktails. Long Island Ice Teas. Both were, you guessed it! Amazing... We savored every bite and enjoyed the top notched service that we so much desired and totally missed from our initial visit. At the end of the night we were left with an everlasting most positive dining experience that was all due to the the King's Fish House staff working like a well oiled machine in accommodating our dining experience. They proved that they are very, very, serious about providing their customers with the best dining experience possible, and when they fall short they are more than willing to make sure that they make it right. I would describe this team as tenacious, professional, intentional, smooth, personable, as well as delightful. To all of you that were involved. Please take a bow.... thank you for a superb experience and we can't wait to come back and enjoy your wonderful food and service once again. Roderick and Cassandra

Yelp
King's Fish House Miso Yaki Wild Chilean Sea Bass with Baby Bok Choy and Shimeji Mushrooms. When it says baby Bok Choy, they mean sliced up bok choy. Sauce was very good and complemented the bok choy, mushrooms and seabass. Would recommend this dish. Grilled Trout with Charbroiled Zucchini and Brussel Spouts was also a delicious item. Trout was very tender and yummy. King Combo Platter with Breaded Fish, Shrimp, Scallops and Fries was a little thick on the batter. Would recommend the fish entrées above the breaded dishes. Service was very good and plenty of parking inside Tempe Marketplace, but certain times can be busy. We dined here early around 4:30 pm on a Sunday so we could attend the show at ASU Gammage at 7 pm. The timing was right and made it to the show without being in a rush as we normally we are.

Yelp
Nice place for good food. The service was okay; no person was available at the front when I came in, so I just sat at the bar until the bartender went to the bar. The fish was good but a little price

Yelp
We had a really nice waitress that continually checked on us. The Mahi Mahi was good especially with the mashed potatoes! I also enjoyed the Old Fashioned - superb!

Yelp
this place is your much MUCH upgraded Red Lobster - not as cheesy, not as chain restaurant-y (though it is) salmon is killer, service is usually pretty decent (unless you're alone lmao) the only gripe I have, which was actually taken care of by the server and I VERY much appreciate that, but there was a teensy tiny crab in one of my oysters. I ordered a dozen to myself (don't ask lol) and I found the crab in the second oyster I ate. This turned me off real bad and I left them untouched - the server came over, I showed her and she promptly took them off the tab. ordered an entree and a few more drinks! the crab is to be expected (sometimes) when you're eating oysters but the server made the point that the shucker should have caught it. either way, I love this place - great place to bring some family or just have a nice dinner by yourself. dark and cozy!

Yelp
With gratitude to our server, Nikki, for our prompt warm welcome and superior (knowledgeable & friendly) service during our cozy and relaxing outdoor patio BD celebration evening; and manager, Michelle, for providing a gluten-free menu, along with the chefs who prepared the most fresh, flavorful and reasonably priced seafood dinners we've ever had, we'll be back soon! Our party of four enjoyed the Oyster Sampler as an appetizer (includes 4 sweet/savory/spicy toppings); Wild Chilean Sea Bass (lightly blackened ~ big hit!); Wild Eastern Sea Scallops; Wild Ecuadorian Mahi Mahi, sides of asparagus, cauliflower, spinach, mashed and baked potatoes (all delicious), and a BD crème brûlée dessert. Kicking myself for not trying this Tempe Marketplace gem years ago.

Yelp
The reason this place gets 5 stars is absolutely for the service!!! I've been here several times and have ended up with the same waiter (Stephen) and he's amazing! Makes the best cocktails and always very attentive and caring when it comes to your time, business, and order. The establishment is always very clean and friendly. The oysters are always fresh and the menu changes so you get to experience the sea without being nearby. If you're a big oyster fan, this the best and freshest variation selection on the east side! Most other places offer farmed blue points and it just hits different. They make the best jalapeños relish and mignonette sauce. I also love the flaky salt and variety of hot sauces they offer. My personal recommendation is the Cadillac margarita... I've very picky about my margaritas and it's been extremely consistent service every time. They're soooo good! The bread is always hot and fresh and no complaints from me. If you're looking for fresh water oysters in the east valley with great service, please visit Stephen in the bar area of Kings table. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
If you're looking for delicious seafood this place is a must. I wish I would have found them sooner! I'll start out by saying our service was phenomenal. Ryan was incredible, so knowledgeable and helpful in providing guidance on what to order. We ended up going with the traditional fish and chips, but crusted sea bass and clams in white sauce. If you enjoy sea bass this was a nice twist on your traditional fish. My favorite was the clams as it had a little spice to it. They offer a variety of items: raw bar, cooked fish special, sandwiches, salads and fried options.
