Sometimes the most unexpected of experiences are the best ones. After a networking event in EaDo, followed by dinner, me and my buddy were walking to our cars. At that point, he discovered that there was a boot on his car in the parking lot he had parked in. My brilliant friend put his phone number in rather than his license plate number which led to the predicament. Being the good friend I am, I kept him company while he was waiting for the "boot guy" to arrive. King's Court was right across the street so we decided hey, why not.
Service (5/5): They were understaffed that evening so the owner was working behind the bar. He was a personable guy and made us feel right at home. Given the predicament that my buddy was in, he hooked us up with a heavy discount. Service at its finest in a casual environment.
Ambiance (3/5): King's Court sounds like it's straight out of King Arthur or Ren Fest. Medieval times is not the theme though. It's divey. And it's a large bar. There's a small patio, a rooftop, seating at the bar, and plenty of space outside of that. There are bar games like that punching game one. It's not the most picturesque of bars, but it's one where you're going to have a good time.
Food (N/A): We had dinner prior but the bartender told us they typically have wings. I love wings. Next time around.
Drinks (4/5): Full bar. I don't think they have a cocktail list but the bartender gives you a heavy pour. Which is always appreciated. They even had Sunny D. So you know I had to make a cocktail out of it. You're not going to find craft cocktails here. But you will find stiff drinks.
I'm happy to be the first to review this watering hole. It's a little bit off the beaten path in EaDo (since it's on a side street) away from the strip where all of the bars and restaurants are, but it's a short walk away. Check it out and support an awesome business owner!
