17 Classic Nashville Restaurants - Nashville - The Infatuation
"The little kitchen in the back of the Thai-Lao King Market has been serving Nashville’s Southeast Asian community (and beyond) since 2012. Dishes can’t help but inspire reverence from everyone who walks in over a decade later—conversation remains at a low hum, interrupted only by satisfied noodle slurps and the squeak of shopping carts passing by. You’ll see the usual suspects on the menu (spring rolls, pad thai, pad kra pao, and a variety of curry soups) alongside Lao-style kao soy and its bouncy rice noodles swimming in a rich beef broth with spiced pork. Also, the fried pork sausages are perfect with a bit of spicy coconut sauce. We’re all about the crunchy papaya salad, too, a savory side that lights those tastebuds on fire (in a good way)." - bailey freeman, jackie gutierrez jones 2, ann walczak

I come here often with my children. Always loved my daughter favorite food. But today was very different. We were waited on after people that came in after us. Then we did not get our drinks . When ask could they bring my daughter drink, server came back to table with her soda was very condescending, repeating this what you want . Then our food was old always get FA side sprouts and mint was bad. Food and Service was surprisingly very bad. Did not even finish felt rushed and food was not up to its usual standard. But I been a server 20 years and I think the most important is how you make your customers feel. My daughter was honestly sad. When this was one place usually she looks forward to. First time I did not tip. And maybe last time we go. Truth is as a family that regularly eats here I do not think we will return any time soon. Sad really was a fan of this spot.

I went in the store 2/26/25 and the owner was so rude it was unreal. He cursed me out and and said some horrible things to me , just because he thought I was being grumpy. I wish people would not shop there anymore ever.

This place should be shut down or Mr.Paul need to get that store back!!!! It's a mess. The new owners came in jacked prices up, they are rude, they tell you that you can't swipe your card as debit rather than credit (a person CANNOT TELL ME HOW TO SPEND MY MONEY) they will not take any change over 3.00, they've had many assults by employees on customers....they do what they want to do. And Metro Police Department WONT DO A THING!!!! I WISH I COULD GIVE THEM 0 STARS!!!! #NORESPECTATALL!!!

Amazing dry ribs. I recommend against the collard greens, but the turnip greens are good.
If you're vegetarian or avoid pork, your options are limited here. The deep fried things, including chicken and potato wedges, probably don't have pork fat in them.
