Okay cutie patooties you know what time it is. Another raving review from your friendly GF squirrel. We're here today trying out Kings Of Kobe... as you can tell by reading this review on said page. This cute little "corner" vibe got me feeling fancy. But enough about me, let me take you on a journey I call "hope". I found this place on "Find Me gluten free" I saw that they had a GF CHEESE STICK. (Mozzarella Stick if you want all the juicy details) obviously I didn't care that I had a dance class later and eating a pound of cheese was not on my bingo card so... I ordered it. Along with a drink the cute waiter recommend, was she flirting? Or was she just...my waiter. I truly will never know. The hint of Tabasco in the fruity little cocktail made me wait to watch "13 going on 30" why? I truly will never know. But that shit was good. 10/10 and worth the tickle in my throat, I'll deal with that later don't worry. Also this breaded stick of cheese HOLY AHIT. Like how do I live in this tunnel of cheese? Anyone? I'm asking for a friend. Now the burger I got... ohhh baby did I do good. I Built My Own Burger... cuz I'm a star. And I will be gatekeeping my recipe. Sorry about it. But I created my own paradise now you can too. You're welcome. I usually eat all my food but this time..... I couldn't. My stomach just couldn't take it. I did this to myself. This... was the price I had to pay. I got 2 to-go boxes so at least I get to experience this journey at least 1 more time in 48 hours. Shoutout to the chefs who made my burger look like I knew building on 42nd. I'm moving in I don't think I've ever wrote this in a review... but I am full. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? I AM FULL! I waited at the bar for my table as the friend set to join me was running late. The bartender was quick to ask if I would like a drink or water as I waited. Meanwhile, I could see the table I would sit at be cleaned. Once, friend arrived we were promptly seated. The place was busy but we didn't feel packed in and the waiter got to us quickly. He took our order with no fuss and checked in on us as we ate. The meal was delicious and I found the experience to be very pleasant.

Kings of Kobe was an extraordinary experience. Nestled right off of the Hudson River, this restaurant really threw me for a joyful loop. The interior is nicely decorated, the seating is comfortable, and they have a full bar. Our server, Janessa, was amazing. She gave exemplary suggestions, was attentive from start to finish, and always had a radiant smile. We both ordered the Regina Bella Burger (Buffalo mozzarella, charred tomatoes, arugula, stonefruit relish, arugula-parmesan salad, balsamic mayo). This burger was DELICIOUS, juicy, and full of fresh ingredients. However, I gladly had to use my knife and fork, because it was so large. I cannot recommend this burger enough. Aside from the Regina Bella Burger, they have a vast selection of other burgers, as well. If you're not satisfied with their list, you also have the option to create your own burger. My drink was just as good as the burger. I had the Silent Smoker (Jose Cuervo reposado tequila, fresh citrus, agave nectar, blood orange puree, with a black salt rim). This is one of the best drinks I've ever had, was a great selection, and I recommend it as much as the burger. I hope that you will experience Kings of Kobe. You will enjoy every aspect of your meal and be treated like royalty.

I had a reservation for 8:00pm on a Tuesday night for Kings of Kobe. By NYC standards that is not late, so I was very surprised when I walked in and the place was nearly empty. There were two tables and three people at the bar. This was concerning, because you can't find standing room usually anywhere in the city at this time. I was greeted immediately by Steven and I imagine I had the only reservation because he knew who I was before I told him my name. I asked to sit at the bar and he said it was not a problem. Steven was also the bartender, had a great personality and was very responsive. He made a few recommendations that I ended up ordering. Apparently the Giant Mozzarella Stick had made its rounds on social media, I wasn't aware but trusted this input. I ordered it and, the name is spot on, this thing is huge...it has to be at least a pound of mozzarella, 12" long or more by about 1 1/2 inches thick. It looked great. The taste, could've been better. It had a perfectly golden crust of panko breading and the cheese was melted as expected. But mozzarella doesn't have a lot of flavor and needs something to amp it up, seasoning the panko would've made this thing next level. Although the marinara was heavily seasoned so maybe that was their thought but I'm of the belief that everything should be seasoned evenly. Onto the burgers. Steven recommended the WE'RE JAMMIN' burger: brie, coffee braised bacon and onion jam, cajun potato crisps. You can order their burgers in 8 oz or 16 oz. I went for the 8 oz. burger because I was sure I would not be able to finish the 16 oz. one. Now, I don't think this burger was Wagyu, the menu didn't mention that and I didn't think to ask. But wagyu burgers have never made sense to me. When working with ground beef you have a ratio of fat to beef, if you want fattier, just add more fat; so needless to say I was okay with it being regular ground beef. Overall the burger was very good, cooked perfectly medium, seasoned right and looked great. I didn't taste much of the "coffee braised bacon" but overall it was good and I would order again. And it's large so 8 oz. was plenty! I also ordered the fries, which seeing reviews have some people upset because they're an additional $8. But it's NYC, things just cost more, it's the way it is. They were good but nothing special, the same battered fries that everyone sells that is usually delivered by one of the two large food distributors in the country. Not bad, nothing special but hits the spot. I had a good meal. I had great service. The restaurant is beautiful inside. It still boggles my mind that it was so empty. I would return and recommend others go as well.

I went here for a business lunch with my Senior Management team. It's a nice place. The staff was very welcoming and nice. I had the go fish salmon burger. It was sooooo good. I am not eating beef right now but my colleagues said the wagu sliders were great. Everyone cleaned their plate so it's safe to say this place serves great food.

My first thought walking into Kings of Kobe last night was: damn! This place is chic! You don't expect a burger spot to be dimly lit with romantic vibes but this one is! The service here is absolutely amazing. David, our waiter, could not have been nicer and more attentive. Most people come here for the burgers since they use all natural wagyu beef. They have a bunch of different options on the menu, or, you can use one of their cute little "toppings checklists" to build your own. We went with the BYO option and were handed checklists and tiny pencils to fill them out. I opted for mine to be cooked to a medium temperature and it was perfect. The meat tasted really fresh and didn't give me too much of an itis feeling afterwards. It's definitely good quality. The fries were also great with the royal sauce that came with it. They have a pretty decent list of cocktails and craft beer on the back of the menu. I tried the Beating Heart and it was delicious. Kings of Kobe will be added to my list as a 5 star burger place. Food was great, service was awesome, and the ambience was cozy. The 5 avenue walk from Times Square is definitely worth checking this place out!

Elegant restaurant steps away from the Hudson River. They love their American Wagyu, here, and you can find it in pretty much almost every item on their menu. We were seated by welcoming and helpful staff. Duke of Lux (smoked Gouda, caramelized onions, applewood smoked bacon, chipotle mayo): really good! $20 may seem a steep price, but the thing is gigantic! Half pound of high quality beef that is super satisfying. I got some fries and could barely eat half. No wonder it's the most popular item on the menu! I'd definitely return. Recommended.

I visited Kings of Kobe because I saw lots of articles saying that it's one of the best burger places in NYC. And it is! It's a bit of a walk from the train station. I went with my family and everyone loved their burger. The half pound burger is hearty and the fries are a good amount. I got the King's Standard which has peppers which gives it an overall sweet taste but with a kick. The brownie explosion was yummy and not too sweet. The service was great, the waiter checked on us regularly. I would definitely visit again.

Stopped in for a happy hour Prosecco. HH seven days a week. Had the summer slaw side too. So good. Slight tang from pineapple. Can't comment otherwise. Service was attentive and efficient. Outside seating area was clean. Mac & cheese balls sounded rich.

The mozzarella stick was cold on the inside, the food took forever to get there, and there was no A/C. You are a restaurant with $17 cocktails, you should have air conditioning. It was a miserable experience. One of the worst dining experience I have ever had.

From the photos on Yelp, I knew I had to try this place, it looked too good to be true! Well, I'm happy to state that it is better than the pictures! I knew we were looking at burgers and steaks and while they offer salads and such, I had to have a burger. What I didn't anticipate was the monolithic monster burger that was served! Talk about truth in advertising, this double burger was ginormous! There are options a-plenty, with burgers ranging from standard to wild, and sliders as well. The Duke Of Lux was calling out to me, and it did not disappoint! Two half pound burgers on the double that I ordered, complete with smoked gouda, caramelized onions, applewood smoked bacon & chipotle mayo! It an experience and I only got through half! The battered fries were spot on as well! Definitely curious to try their hot dogs as they're mesmerizing as well. Great service, prompt and helpful.

3.5/5 stars We got of the statue of liberty tour, and we were hungry and decided to find something to eat. Found this on yelp, and walked over. Ordered: 1) Fried Calamari: 3/5 2) King's Classic: 3/5 OK for pricey hot dogs! 3) Sweet potato fries: 4/5 Pretty tasty! Haven't had sweet potato fries in a while!

We stopped by here early afternoon craving a good burger, and man oh man did we find a gem. The black and gold interior fits well with the relaxing atmosphere here. We were promptly seated and our waitress was very pleasant and helpful with recommendations. We both liked our ciders, but the Downeast was my favorite of the two. In terms of the burgers, the Louis XIII blew me away. The burger was thick and juicy, and the sunny-side-up egg and mushrooms paired perfectly with the mozzarella cheese. By far one of the best burgers I've ever had. If you're in the city and looking for the perfect burger, look no further than Kings of Kobe.

Burgers at Kings was a great restaurant to go to celebrate my boyfriend. He had the King Louis Xiii and I had the Duke of Lux Burger (medium well) which we paired with fries and spinach that we shared. The first bite of my burger was delicious! The flavors Build in each chew: The cheese.. The bacon and the sauce.. all i could do was sit back and enjoy. The burgers don't come with lettuce, tomato, or traditional pickles so i requested them. The fries were perfectly crispy and tasted great with the spicy ketchup and garlic Mayo sauces. The spinach could have been seasoned more but i was glad that we had more greens. For drinks we got the Blackberry Austin Eastciders, Blakberry Cider, Texas and Downeast Original, Cider, Massachusetts. I REALLY enjoyed the Blackberry Austin!I loved how i could taste the fruit in my cider and that even though the meal was heavy The ciders were light and airy just in time for spring. One can was enough to get you a little buzz. Our server was accommodating but moved super fast to the next thing. We found out later that you can build your own burger after seeing that our neighbors were filling in a price of paper. I wish it was mentioned prior to us ordering. We were too full for dessert Over all the restaurant is casual with an trendy flair. Weather permitting you can sit inside out outside. We look forward to coming back!

Great spot for after work. They have happy hour from 3 to 8 pm if you sit at the bar section. The burger was not bad, but could really tell if it was wavy or not. The bun was kinda crunchy. Maybe it was toasted too long. Not huge selection of beer. Great ambiance and good service.

this place is awesome, they have a giant mozzarella stick & the burgers are nuts!! it was so good, i got the grilled cheeseburger and it was double stacked and i love burgers, i couldn't finish it! lol but i did the next day and it was still delicious aff. my boyfriend had the wings and he tore them up, i had 1 & it was so good, they were perfectly crispy. the DRANKS WAS DRANKINGGGGG, the margs 10000000/10! will be back.

I saw this place on social media and it looked incredible... so while I was in town the other day I stopped by.... When I tell you the burger was AMAZING! I'm not lying! Fresh beef and vegetables and the bacon tasted great! We also tried the huge cheese sticks they have! 10/10 Highly recommend! Waiter and staff were very nice as well May be MY top 3 burgers for me of all time

I've been meaning to try this restaurant for a while since I live so close to it and finally got the chance to with a friend a few months back. The burger was fantastic; I got the King's Standard Medium and would definitely recommend! We also got Wagyu Chili Fries and Onion Rings on the side. The Wagyu Chili Fries were incredibly tasty and we ended up finishing all of it rather quickly. The Onion Rings were also solid; had a good crunch and paired well with the dipping sauce. Service was attentive and friendly and the restaurant had a laid back ambience. Would definitely want to come back before I move out of the area!

Mr. German was awesome. Fantastic customer service, Knowledgeable and friendly. The maid to order cheeseburger and nachos with toppings were the best we've ever had. Interior of the restaurant was lovely and inviting. This restaurant is close to easy access parking and tour boat rides for the Statue of Liberty and sightseeing. We will definitely go back to this restaurant.

Food was excellent, we started with the giant mozzarella stick and the white wine sangria. For our dinner we had the Duke of Lux and the pastrami reuben burgers. We split them in half and shared. The service was on point. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We also love the decor and style of the place. We highly recommend.

Came here for the high reviews and amazing pictures, but I'm not sure if I'd be returning again. I hate giving bad reviews. I really do. I give it a 2.5/3 here. When it comes to review it's not all about food, it's also about experience and service. The place is kind of hidden and far away from everything. Dark inside and candles on the table. You scan the QR code for the menu. It first started with the waitress awkward telling us that they are trying out dumplings to see if they want to add it on the menu. Weird that everyone else that sat around us throughout the night was not told about the dumplings. Was that a bit racist? I'll let you decide. Asked the waitress how big the small fries were and she showed us a with her hands it and told us it was a small basket so we got the large. Let me tell you, she wasn't the best at describing the large basket is enough to feed 4 people. (There were 2 of us) had enough fries to eat and bring a whole container worth home. The burgers were cooked well and nice presentation but for $20 was it worth it? Flavors were all good, but the burgers were doused in sauce and toppings that it was all overwhelming and taking away from the burger. You couldn't really taste the burger or the cheese with all the sauce and toppings. Got the fries and we asked for ranch sauce. They brought us ranch and it tasted weird and I was not going to use it anymore. We asked for the check and come to find out it was BACON ranch. And we were CHARGED almost $2 for it. Would have been nice if the waitress told us it was EXTRA and told us it was bacon ranch before we asked for it because I don't eat bacon and I wouldn't pay $2 for a side of ranch. I'm SURPRISED they didn't charge us for the ketchup too! Next you get the bill brought to you and you pay on their little tablet while they hold it. Please think about how much you're going to tip before you get the bill because they watch over you while you put the tip. Keep in mind, if you don't give a good tip your waitress will be cold to you and not say anything when you leave. when leaving we had the waitress and another waiter at the front when we left and only the other said bye and the waitress was not having it and ignored us.

Went to a trade show in NY. Our company has several branches across the U.S. but unfortunately our lunch group didn't contain any NY residents. So I jumped on Yelp and just searched for American cuisine. I figured that would cause the least fuss. This place was a hop skip and a jump away from the Javits center. We went over there with 9 people and were seated outside right away. Set up was a little tough since all the tables were round. Good thing we like each other! Now the outside area doesn't smell great. I think the close proximity to the dog park isn't a great thing when there is a breeze. We started with appetizers for most people at the table. The mozzarella sticks were awesome. They are thick and cut open. Very different. Also got onion rings and fries. Meals do not come with fries. A few of my coworkers have dietary restrictions. One of my coworkers wanted just the chicken from a chicken sandwich. No bun or anything. For some reason the waiter came out and told us that couldn't be done. The chicken had to be on something. So salad? Or bun? So my coworker said I guess salad then. I just don't understand why it can't be chicken on a plate and we just pay for the full sandwich. As my regular meal I got the salmon burger. It was very good. This was a good place for a quick lunch. Especially if you're at an event around the corner.

My family and I came here without a reservation for lunch on a Monday and we were seated immediately. A member of our party was running 10 minutes late and the host made a remark that he usually doesn't seat parties unless they're all present (just an FYI). The wait staff were very nice and explained the menu well. We got the large Truffle Fries (just ok) and the large Sweet Potato Fries with a sweet honey sauce (delicious). The portions were huge! Each of their burgers have 2 prices - 1 for a half pound patty and 1 full pounder (which is just 2 half pound patties). I had the half pound "We're Jammin" Burger which was large. It had melted brie cheese, coffee braised bacon and onion jam and fried spiced yuka. It was delicious and cooked exactly like I requested (medium). The patty was juicy and flavorful. The fried yuka, however, was maybe a bit too overcooked and hard. At points it was digging into my gums and were quite painful to chew. The place is clean and has a club/lounge type of vibe.

What a wonderful surprise. I was walking by this restaurant and decided to stop in for a late night dinner. Walking in, I fell right into a cozy atmosphere, dark, subtle, romantic. It was quite a bit late, there weren't a lot of customers. I was greeted by a bubbly young lady named, Janessa. She was also my server. She was so helpful with the menu. I was able to exchange a few words with her. She was lovely and personable. The food finally came, and I was extremely impressed. Delicious! Seriously, one of the best meals I had in NYC! Unfortunately, or not, I arrived at the restaurant near closing. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner (I cannot remember his name) who was a delight! I would highly recommend this restaurant! I hope that you bring this down to Miami! I would definitely become a regular. Much luck in your venture. It's well deserved!

Really good food though it was pricey. Service was a bit slow. The ambiance was very nice!

Steaks were very solid, tuna tacos were excellent, mashed potatoes too. I imagine their burgers are spectacular, as they certainly look that way, and the wings were good as well. It's got a bit of a strange vibe, sort of loud and touristy, and diner-ish, but the food makes up for it, along with a wonderful waitress.

Walked by this place several times and finally got a chance to stop by. I got the Kings Standard Burger with a Blackberry Cider. It was my first time eating a wagyu burger - and it was pretty good. The texture was very soft and juicy. And the burger was cooked well and made with delicious toppings. The wait staff was also really nice and attentive. And the atmosphere was nice. Overall it was a nice place with good burgers - will definitely visit again when I get a chance.

This is definitely food for royalty. The portion sizes here are amazing, so come here with a large appetite and ready to eat like a king. You're also treated like royalty: our server Justin was beyond friendly and helpful. That kind of service benefits the experience way more than it might seem. My party ordered the nachos, King's Standard pounder, red onion rings, and the maple Buffalo wings. These nachos are beyond high quality. Every bite tastes fresh and the assortment of sauces and ingredients give you lots of enjoyable flavors. The avocado was especially a nice touch; it gave a nice balance to the saltiness. I'd be more than happy to return with just these nachos in mind. The King's Standard holds that name for a reason. Getting the pounder is a big decision to make, because it's a damn big burger. I absolutely loved every bite of it. The toppings on the burger added lots of crunch and acidity to what was already a very tender and delicious burger. The sauces also work well with the flavors of the toppings. Serve this to Louis XIV and he'll build a statue for it in the Palace of Versailles. The onion rings were also high in quality, but I'd say it's more so because of the breading than the onion which caught my attention. The onion itself is great, but the flavor of the breading is what I really enjoyed. These are unique onion rings to say the least, especially when paired with the provided sauce. These make fries seem entirely overrated. The maple Buffalo wings had more maple flavor than Buffalo, which I thought was an amazing touch. It gives a different flavor to the traditional wing while still bringing a bit of background heat from the Buffalo. The chicken itself was cooked very nicely: notable seasoned and falls off the bone. Overall, Kings of Kobe is worth the hike over to the west side. Good ambience, great service, and prestigious food.

Came here on a Friday for lunch and it was decently busy. Service was really good and fast. My husband got the Queens Rule burger and I got the chicken Clubhouse sandwich as I'm not a huge burger person (this place has been on my husband's list to try), and we split a basket of fries with their housemade fry sauce. The chicken club was pretty good, could have used some more seasoning in my opinion, but still good especially considering this isn't what they specialize in. Husband said burger was too 5 best he's ever had. I tried it and it was incredibly good. The fries were also the perfect crispness and the fry sauce was delicious. Overall great experience, and we live right across the street so will definitely be back a lot

Tasty burgers and shakes! I got the Elvis is in the Building Burger, which was really good and the wagyu beef patty was cooked to a perfect medium. The bacon in there was good, though the crispy plantains were a bit dry and I didn't taste the peanut sauce at all. The burger was $25, but it was justified by the huge size - it was definitely too big for me to finish all at once, and I had to first cut it in half before I could try to eat it which I think is necessary unless you have an enormous mouth. I also got the Oreos and Cream Milkshake ($11), which was delicious as expected (how could that go wrong after all). It was nice that they added some rainbow sprinkles on top. The music inside is upbeat but a bit loud. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive. We went on a Friday night, and there were still many open tables left. Overall, Kings of Kobe is a solid option for classic American foods and drinks all the way at the west end of 42nd St.

First time trying Kings of Kobe. Great ambiance, food, and service. We ordered the Duke of Lux of Burgers and the cheeses Olivieri Burger with a side or Large Fries and a small portion of red onion rings. Good portions for the price. The only reason why I give this place a 4 instead of a 5, it's because I ordered my burger Medium and it was more of a medium well to well done, but other than that I highly recommend this restaurant if you are craving a good Burger.

Moved in a large party reservation of eleven fairly last-minute. We didn't even know who was showing up until we started ordering. Janessa, our hostess (and waitress), was very accommodating and made it work somehow! The service was fantastic, drinks delicious, and food amazing as always! I will happily return to Kings in the future (hopefully a bit more organized, too)! Thank you!

Located way out on West 42nd, almost all the way to the water, Kings of Kobe is a restaurant and bar with a clean aesthetic and delicious food. Wagyu is the name of the game; high-quality beef products, including burgers and hot dogs, are the focus here. But first, let me tell you about happy hour. From 4-7 PM, drinks and select foodstuffs are cheap as hell, by Midtown standards. $5 ice cold pints of beer, $7 well drinks, $18 for a burger and a Stella. Nachos, wings, and a loaded hot dog all figure into the offerings. Note that the happy hour menu on the website is a little out of date; check the current physical listing when you pull up at the bar. I'm happy to report that the food I've eaten here has all been satisfactory. You can taste the quality of the premium beef in the burger. Similarly, the hot dog (jumbo size, I'd hazard around a quarter pound) has a pleasant snap to it, a texture that conjures up nostalgic feelings for the ideal hot dog you've always dreamed about. Yesterday, as I sipped my brandy and cola, I ventured even further and ordered the wings, extra crispy, in barbeque sauce. They arrived HOT: I urge you to let them cool before popping them in your mouth. The verdict: WOW. Fresh chicken fried in clean oil, nice and crispy exterior, tender and juicy inside. The sauce is quite sweet, but I found it to be fitting and enjoyable. I'm somewhat picky when it comes to wings, and these hit the spot. There's something special about this place. Sure, the nachos are average and yes they could crank the AC a little higher. Still, I've been very impressed with the food, and bartender Jimmy provides stellar service, accurate and professional. I'm looking forward to making this a more regular destination for happy hour.

Dinner was delish! our gang had both beef and buffalo steaks. extremely well proportioned for the price. Service was great!

hands down best filet mignon I have ever had. The chimichurri is so good I could eat bowls full of it! over all service was a 10. We did spend about $300 between dinner s as no drinks but it was well worth it. they do have less expensive items that looked great as well

Super nice staff in a comfortable environment that's great for friends or families. We had great service and burgers here with our 2-year-old son during our most recent trip to NYC. There aren't a ton of great food options around KoK, and this is the best spot for sit down burgers in the area. The meat is high quality, flavors on point, and they have an outdoor patio if you want to get outside. If you're craving some burgers, some KoK could be exactly what you need!

We keep coming back - it's a regular for us now. Always fun environment, great service and fantastic food. The menu changes every once in a while. Quality of all food is very high... All the burgers & hot dogs are creative and fresh. Great sandwiches too. Several vegan/vegetarian options. Start with appetizers - love the calamari or the new mozzarella stick. Yummm... Goid bartending too; good house martini! Will keep coming back...

The food was spectacular and our server, David, always checked in and super friendly. The ambiance is very good and chill. Will definitely come back when i visit NY again.

It's my first time in nyc and I happen to pass by it . Mind you it's Sunday , marathon was today but I love the environment. The service was great and the food was delicious . We got alittle bit of everything but the sweet potatoes tots were amazing. And the burgers were excellent. I got a New York beer which went awesome with my food.

Highly recommend this place! Huge portions of comfort food and very reasonable prices for American Wagyu beef! Very friendly and accommodating waitstaff and a no rush sports bar type of atmosphere...Get yourself a giant ribeye to share with one or more guests! I strongly recommend the pastrami sliders as well.

This place has a great ambience, and very good food. It's a little pricey, but the sweet potato fries are worth it!
