Google
Great coffee shop with good roast. We stopped in for Americano’s and cafe lattes. I got the Americano small which specified less water (all americanos get same number of shots). Flavor and body of the drink was excellent. The lattes were good and they made chocolate milk for one of my sons. We also got bagels which seemed to me to be Jewish bagels considering the flavor and excellent firm doughy texture. Staff was very friendly and were able to answer my coffee specific questions when deciding what size americano to order. I would definitely go here again!

Google
Super neat place with good drinks and food/pastries! We came here with some friends as this is part of the Salt Lake City Passport (coffee book) and they recommended the cinnamon cappuccino. We did not get this drink but we had the Hot Chocolate and S’mores Latte for drinks and The Bob Marley Toast and Everything Bagel w cream cheese. All were quite delicious! I wish I would’ve gotten the Chocolate Cronut, but next time! The atmosphere is super neat and feels warm and cozy. The record room and art is super neat as well. Highly recommend!!

I had a wonderful experience at King’s Peak Coffee Roasters in Salt Lake City. The coffee was genuinely exceptional — beautifully roasted with rich, balanced flavors that show true craftsmanship. You can tell they take their beans seriously, and it reflects in every sip. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a slow cup. If I may offer one small suggestion: just a bit more attention to the cleanliness of the tables would really complete the overall experience. Mine was slightly sticky, which didn’t match the otherwise polished vibe of the place. Still, it’s a spot I would absolutely return to — highly recommended for any coffee lover looking for quality and character in every cup.

We already tried a few coffee roasters in Salt Lake City and I can definitely tell that Kings Peak Coffee Roasters is the best! Smell and taste of good coffee, and baristas smile make you come back again and again while you’re in this amazing city. We were so happy to stop by before our SNB riding days and grab a cup of delicious espresso and legendary watermelon pour over! Loved this place! Special thanks for not usual and tasty avocado toast with cheese snd jelly!! Yummy yummy!!

Google
Excellent coffee quality if you are looking for beans that are not over roasted (we specifically had the Guatemala drip). The banana/ almond butter toast (named The Bob Marley) was outstanding. Our barista was incredibly friendly, welcomed us to the city (we are visiting from out of town), and even gave some helpful suggestions for what to see while in town. Lovely shop, great coffee / food, and fabulous staff. What else could you ask for in a local coffee shop?!

Google
Lovely coffee shop. Super cool location. Great taste and presentation! Cute baristas too, lol

Google
Great coffee shop just outside of the city. It’s a little hard to find but once you do, it’s golden. The coffee here was well made; I got a honey and cinnamon cappuccino that had the perfect ratio of milk and foam to espresso. The macchiato here was very smooth as well! The avocado toast is good, it’s nothing extravagant but tastes great all the same (especially with the tomato jam on the speciality toast)! The service was lovely. Each barista I talked to was very naturally kind and easy to talk to. One of them even gave us a free chia to try, which they make in house. It’s on the sweeter side but a good chia all around. The building itself has lots of little treasures as well. They roast their own coffee and love to show their customers where all the magic happens. There is an art gallery in the back and a small record walk-in closet near the front. It’s a great place to catch up with someone or do your work alone as it’s a calm and peaceful space.

Google
An independent coffee establishment frequented mostly by the young and hip, for good reason: their coffee is excellent. Their breakfast bagel and avocado toast were also on point. They put a small amount of jam on the avocado toast so it's slightly sweet, which i personally like. There are comfortable seats around, the place is clean and so is the restroom (they share it with the art gallery in the same building). There are fair amount of parking space. The only possible weakness is that sometimes there's only 1 barista there taking care of everything so occasionally service can be quite slow, so may not be ideal if you're getting your coffee during morning rush. Other than that, this place is all thumbs up.

Yelp
I'm slowly making my way through the coffee shops in the valley, and knew that this one has high praise for the valley. One of the key selling points, is that they roast their own beans. Nothing like fresh beans from a local shop. They had ~15 different roasts that you can buy and take home, which gives something for everyone. The shop itself was built on a former bank, and there is still a safe in the center of the room. Which sets a cool tone for hanging out and drinking coffee. They have a small food menu, with things like avocado toast and bagels, that I'll have to try out next time. They staff is pretty nice and willing to make recommendations, and make each drink from scratch. The americano was good, but I'd want to try other drinks on my next visit. I would definitely suggest stopping in for your morning cup, or at least trying a bag of beans for home.

Yelp
I ordered a blueberry matcha & a specialty avocado toast. The service was great and the ambiance was chill. Specialty avocado toast review: I really enjoyed the flavor of the tomato jam & goat cheese. I could taste the sweet and salty flavors and it went good together. The avocado blended right into the flavors. Blueberry matcha review: I enjoyed this matcha. If you really like the matcha and that's what you want I would recommend adding an extra scoop to get more of the flavor. I had it normal and it was nice. I also added a picture of the bob marley which my brother said was good.

Yelp
Good quality coffee and matcha. We ordered drip coffee (Guatemala roast) blueberry matcha, and a decaf Americano. Everyone enjoyed their drink. The cafe can be hard to find the first time but I like that it is right next to the freeway. Inside it is quaint and artsy. There is ample seating including comfy couches. I love the exposed brick and lighting. There are shared bathrooms with the rest of the building and a parking lot. Our barista was polite. If I'm in town again, I'm definitely coming back.

Yelp
Yum! Love Kings Peak Coffee Roasters. Tucked away in a cute building. Great coffee. Cute inside. Would recommend.

Yelp
They have great coffee and a very good variety of drinks. I really like that their coffee is ethically sourced. And their baristas are just as good, if not better, than their coffee. Both of their locations definitely make you want to hang out for a while. You feel at home immediately.

Yelp
Lovely brick building conveniently off of 400 S with ample parking on the side of the building in a private parking area. Chill vibes inside with eclectic artwork and a previous elevator shaft turned into a small retail space. Comfortable chairs and several tables with nearby outlets if you plan to bring your laptop to work. Magazines to peruse if you want to relax. Ordered a large iced americano with easy ice and a croissant for breakfast. The americano let the coffee beans really shine through. The croissant was heated but the inside was still cool. Although it would have been nice had it been heated through, it's better than risking the outside being burnt as it's such a delicate pastry dough so I understand why they erred on the side of warm instead of hot. The barista was friendly and knowledgeable. The checkout not only takes mobile wallet pay but I also highly appreciate that I could leave a tip electronically since I rarely have cash and always want to leave a tip for helpful baristas so thank you for making that possible :) in addition I also super appreciate the eco consciousness of having three receipt options including email receipt (nice to be able to just delete in instead of being given a paper you'll just throw away) or no receipt if you don't want to waste paper but also don't want to type your email address. Convenient and fantastic! The music was a mix of uptempo, relaxing, and uplifting. Definitely a chill place to start your day, work for a bit, or take a break to relax and get some coffee and food. Overall recommend and will come again when I'm in the area. Thanks and keep up the great work! Note: Came back and the coffee and service are still top notch! Thanks :)

Yelp
I had very high hopes for Kings Peak Coffee Roasters. I had a limited amount of days in SLC and hand selected a few must try places after researching and making a list. The service was exceptional, the shop itself is big, has ample seating, comfy couches, spaces spread enough to have a private conversation if need be. I ordered the seasonal drink which was a cold brew base with cream and their house made cherry syrup. It was so disappointing, fell flat, didn't have a ton of flavor, and wish I would've ordered differently or gone elsewhere.

Yelp
mmmmocha! the barista is welcoming, friendly, and a fabulous artist. cozy atmosphere. just right... so right that I just had to get a 2nd drink and hang out for an hour. The cortado lets the espresso flavors really shine... and once again, artistry and perfection. Don't miss this hidden gem.

Yelp
Coffee was great. They have a small space and it's kind of tough to find/get to if you are not local and know the area.
google avatar

Megan K.

Yelp
This is a cute little coffee shop tucked away in an obscure little industrial area. They have a little nook inside full of vinyls for sale, and offer sound coffee and some small bites. I went basic and had their avocado toast, and a dirty chai latte which did not disappoint. This place was a surprising little gem!

Yelp
If you're like me you want to start your day off right by having a great cup of coffee and Kings Peak always delivers. Their roasts are done in house and each delicious so if you're looking for some of the good stuff for home look no further. The baristas are knowledgeable without being pretentious, always helpful. The shop has a decent amount of seating for the size but is also connected to an art gallery if you want to peruse and see some fantastic local artwork. Their menu is typical of most coffee shops with lattes, flavorings, etc but look for the seasonal specials if you want something unique. Their pastry options seem to rotate so there's always something new to try. Bagels available I decided to go with a standard latte paired with a ham and cheese croissant, keeping things light and quick. The espresso shined through the milk with the perfect balance of bitterness and sweetness. The milk steamed to perfection. The ham and cheese croissant was buttery and flakey as it should be. I would prefer if it was a bit warmer but it was still tasty. Tips: -plenty of parking on the side of the building. -cool art exhibit attached. -check out the jazz elevator room. Elevator shaft turned into little mini shop full of amazing vinyls. -non dairy alternatives available.

Yelp
Kings Peak Coffee Roasters is an amazing coffee shop in a little bit of an obscure location but if you're using Google maps you should be able to find it pretty easily. It's cute and quant and there is a good ambiance, local artists and different eclectic items that are supporting local businesses and also local artisan craft makers. 5++++

Yelp
Love the area, aesthetics, feel. Tucked away in an industrial area. Baristas are friendly once they are ready to be- don't expect to be talked to or welcomed until they are good and ready. A bit off-putting. Coffee is decent, lighter roast than the typical burnt French roast that permeates most shops.
google avatar

Yelp
Really cool coffee shop. My favorite thing about it was the ambiance and decor. Right when you walk in, they have a room to the left with tons of jazz and soul vinyls and CDs for sale. They have danishes, pastries, donuts and bagels. The donuts are HUGE and look really good. I ordered a small Iced Chai. It was pretty good, but lacking a bit of flavor. The barista was very friendly. Place was clean. Solid coffee shop to visit.

Yelp
Interesting little place in a repurposed building. Good coffee is a bonus. Straight forward menu with all the essentials.

Yelp
A hidden gem that is less than 5-min of drive away from downtown. Cool and friendly baristas. Casual and welcoming vibes. We got a regular latte and cold brew. The latte was finished nicely and served at the perfect warm temperature. Tasted strong but smooth and rich. It's indeed a good latte. The cold brew was interesting because it tasted light at the beginning but after sitting at the room temperature for a few more minutes the flavor started to kick in with a more lingering aftertaste. Overall, we recommend this coffee roaster.

Yelp
Awesome toast and pastries, nice small spot hidden away so it tends to be quiet, service is great - say hey to Carlos and Brooklyn and everyone :) Cool Jazz shop in the elevator and awesome wall art that cycles. Also they roast everything themselves in the back so it always smells amazing and the owners are often in and out.
google avatar

Yelp
Very cute space, not a whole lot of seating, and a bit difficult to find. Worth it, though! I really like their lattes. Great spot to just chill for a bit.

Yelp
Really cool place for coffee! I ordered an iced mocha because it was hot outside and it was delicious . Took long to get it but I was ok since we were with friends. Felt relaxed in there. Hope to taste other coffees next time and maybe pastries. The donuts look delicious. Hubby had an ice chai and he said it was pretty bland. Of friend had a cortado which he said was good. I need to research why sparkling water comes with it. They also have a cool little room that sells records. What seemed to be the owner making the coffee was super friendly and had a cool vibe! Felt welcomed. We saw few people walking in and and the employees recognized them being regulars. So that's a good sign. I did notice a printer and I think that was cool. Like you can print stuff if you are working there. If I am ever in the area definitely will stop by!
google avatar

Yelp
Kings Peak is our absolute favorite. Fred and Carlos are awesome baristas and so chill. The space is great for a sunny Sunday of reading or working. But the shining star is the coffee and the way they produce it. Kings Peak roasts their own on-site, and it's thoughtfully made, each blend is unique, and you can taste the care that goes into it. They also have direct relationships with their growers, so your money supports the folks doing the hardest work. If you're not keen on black coffee, they have a rotating menu of really yummy seasonal lattes and specialty drinks. Kings Peak is part of our weekend routine and (segundo me) is the best coffee in SLC!

Yelp
Really wanted to rave about this place! The location is a bit out of the way and near a freeway so starting off i was hoping the food & drinks would convince me to come back. The service was speedy and the workers were great and so nice. There's lots of indoor seating and even printer services which i thought was pretty cool. But the food and coffee was very average. The avocado toast was on a thin slice of sourdough that was not throughly toasted (kinda caving in from the weight of the avocado) and the avocado itself was seasoned pretty blandly with some salt, pepper and lemon juice. I was hoping for the feta / cheese sprinkled on top like other photos but sadly mine didn't have any. The campfire lounge drink was decent, but not sweet as i hoped for giving its description. The wilder pour over was too sweet for my liking. The bagel was really good, but nothing you couldn't make at home with some Costco bagels. I really liked the fluffy and soft chocolate donut it was definitely the tastiest part of the meal but sadly not enough to make me want to come again.

R S.

Yelp
Love this coffee shop. Staff is always super friendly. I enjoy their mochas (not too sweet, just the way I like them) and lattes. I always have to indulge and get a croliner doughnut. I think it is the best doughnut I have ever had. Perfect texture - layers of flakiness with a nice bite, moist, and with a custard filling with just the right amount of sweetness. I also enjoy their specialty avocado toast with tomato jam and goat cheese. Yum!

Yelp
The Kings Peak Coffee Roasters experience can be summed up in one word: confusing. First off: the staff. The two goons working the counter were either stoned or stupid, but most likely both. Between their bad attitudes and direct mockery of multiple customers inquiries about their menu and orders, there was an atmosphere of general incompetence and hostility. Second: they haven't seemed to figure out how to distribute food items after they are ready. It was a complete free for all of random orders sitting on a counter. Several people prematurely picked up other people's orders who had ordered first. You'd think the employees would be willing to help mitigate the confusion. Unfortunately, it seems they were less equipped and/or willing to help than the customers they were there to serve. The coffee and food was good. Food 8/10 Customer service 0/10

Yelp
So this morning I wanted to get boba but none of the boba places were open in Utah. At least not until 12:00 pm. So we came here and it did not disappoint! There's the main menu, which is your basic coffee menu, and then a smaller menu where all of the unique and creativity was. I was debating between brown sugar spiced mocha, the stinger, and mango spice chai. Brown Sugar Spiced Mocha: It was extremely smooth. Smoother than nitro! And it wasn't too sweet. I'm not really a coffee drinker, but I would definitely miss this drink! Wish there was one in California. Americano: It was very smooth and easy to drink. VIBE Artsy, grassroots, casual, trendy. Exposed brick walls is my favorite decor. They had chairs and tables for studying and eating and couches to lounge as well. CUSTOMER SERVICE They were very attentive and greeted all of the customers when they came in and said "we'll be right with you." WHY YOU SHOULD COME HERE 1) They support local artists and sell their art here. Love it! 2) The coffee beans are high quality. 3) The drinks are very smooth. It's going to be hard to go back to other coffee now that this place has shown me the way.

Javier Z.

Yelp
Really cute place. Food and coffee were good but if you are looking for good service maybe this isn't the place. We had to ask Brooklyn for our donuts like 3 times. Finally I ask her coworker and she was super nice about it.
google avatar

Bea B.

Yelp
Consistently delicious. We return every time we are in town. Smooth roast, creamy milk, and as expected latte art.

Claire A.

Yelp
I ordered a pumpkin cold brew and there was no flavor whatsoever. Couldn't even taste the coffee. Sadly, very bland. Had high hopes walking in.
google avatar

Yelp
Best coffee spot in Salt Lake! Great coffee, cool people, interesting art, and an all around chill vibe. We found this spot on our last day here and it was way better than every other spot we tried. Will be back for sure!

Yelp
Kings peak is hidden away to the right off the freeway of 400. The coffee is Very aesthetically pleasing to the eye as well as tasty. Seating is very comfortable and the atmosphere here is very comfortable and fun. The staff was very friendly and accommodating with me. Great job with your shop !
google avatar

Yelp
I love kings peak coffee. Amazing staff and great coffee. They never disappoint and make an excellent latte. The food is also great. A nice place to study or just read a book. Highly recommend trying them out!
google avatar

Holly A.

Yelp
Cool little Java joint. I would not know it was here because it is kinda off the beaten path a bit but worth exploring for sure! The coffee was very good. We got a red eye with an add shot with a splash of cream. Wish the pumpkin spice latte hadn't been replaced with a yam latte but hey it's fall and it's all good. Lots of parking on the street and in the lot so no worries there. WiFi is available just get the code from the friendly barista.

Yelp
The food, service, and ambiance at this establishment is unparalleled. A cozy place to come to on a cold or dreary day. Or any day! One of my favorite coffee shops in salt lake hands down.

Iggy A.

Yelp
Great coffee, architecture, music, service I definitely recommend it. Out of the way but close to airport, and it's not Starbucks!
google avatar

Kristine E.

Yelp
Worst tasting "coffee" I've ever had. Tasted super watered down, and weak. Also ordered a jalapeño bagel that really was just a burnt Asiago bagel.
google avatar

Harmony M.

Yelp
Amazing location. A great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. It's located in a warehouse under I-15. It's a little tricky to get there but just trust google maps. They have a great variety of coffee blends all roasted by them. They also have delicious pastries and avo toast. The walls are covered in amazing local art from all around Utah. The staff was very patient and nice. It was our first time in and we had tons of questions. I think this is the perfect spot to hangout and have a coffee or non-coffee drink. They will soon be opening in Sundays as well. Go check it out ASAP!

Yelp
I found myself inviting my sister out to coffee on a late Monday morning. Tucked away on the corner of 400 South, this modern coffee shop is easily accessible and conveniently placed on a low traffic main street. Upon entering Kings Peak Coffee Roasters, I noticed some spicy instrumental music filling what would be a rather small, and empty space. Yes, small, but cozy and cabin-like. I strolled around the counter, and was welcomed by a local regular. I told him I was meeting my sister for coffee while simultaneously taking notes and pictures for this review. He had shown me a couple of quirks in the shop including the extended record merchandise tucked away. We were soon greeted by Carlos, a barista at Kings Peak. Carlos took our order and suggested some bakery goods; the Chocolate Cronought and Beehive Cake were both delicious, in case you were curious. I stuck with a safe almond milk latte, while surprising my sister with their seasonal almond mocha. Carlos was very attentive, spunky, and personable with every customer that walked through the door. He even brought us our goods when the order was complete. And not to forget he was working alone at the time! My sister and I loved the local art that clad to the walls, as it added to the aesthetic. If you dive deeper into the shop, you'll find a narrow hallway that leads you to the Modern West, an art gallery. Overall, I would recommend Kings Peak Coffee Roasters on a slow morning. The laid-back atmosphere is perfect for students studying solo or a place to catch up with someone.

Yelp
This is some of the smoothest coffee I have had excellent roasters here in Salt Lake. If you're in this area you really need to try them and they are very polite very nice atmosphere brick building just really perfect all around. Next time we're in town we definitely will be getting our coffee from here good job guys!
google avatar

Gaëlle B.

Yelp
How I didn't know about this place? It is lovely and delicious. I had the specialty toast and the waffle espresso shot (see pictures). That waffle espresso shot is just perfect! I just want to tell everyone to go check them out! And I will be back! And if you are not sure... just follow their Instagram, within a week of looking at all their nice pictures and craving to try their drinks, you will run there!

Josh M.

Yelp
Stopped with a friend and got a pastry and coffees on the way to Sandy. Both were delicious. I'm back again with my wife and she likes it too
google avatar

Yelp
Great atmosphere, service, and coffee. Convenient location right off of I-15. Not over-priced and unique design. We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Frances L.

Yelp
Solid coffee spot! They have really cool house syrups like salt maple sage and solid basics like vanilla. We got an oat milk salt maple sage latte and almond milk vanilla latte to go. I definitely would recommend the former, as it was noticeably thicker, richer and tastier. We also got the raspberry jelly cronut which was delicious. Price wise, Kings Peak is pretty reasonable - each drink came out to $4.50 with milk subs and all. Also, the barista was super cool and friendly!
google avatar

Yelp
Great coffee, service and a local art. Carlos took great care of us. Such a cool spot!

Yelp
Wow how have I never heard of this place?!? Live pretty close to this coffee shop. I really dig the vibe and ambiance here I think I heard the owners saying it was an old steel company building of sorts. A real industrial modern look with decor Food/coffee: The apple pie latte is delightful it's off the fall specialty drinks. caramel mocha is delicious, it's on the regular menu list. Specialty toast is Bomb.com!!!! Big fan of the flavor combo with the jam and goat cheese. Asiago bagel is prefect. Thank you, will be recommending to friends and neighbors
google avatar

Michelle N.

Yelp
I wish I had a better experience here but, unfortunately, that was not the case. I love the hidden space, it has a lot of cute decor. However, I was very disappointed with the quality of the drinks. The avocado toast was good, although I've had better. The like lavender but the cold brew was quite strong. The matcha lacked a lot of flavor and was clumpy with the matcha powder, don't get it if you like sweet matcha lattes as it was not sweet whatsoever. I came back to give this place a second chance to get a chai, I'm sad to say that the chai tasted like bland and lukewarm milk with a slight hint of chai.
google avatar

Brittani L.

Yelp
Wow, this hazelnut latte was good. Cozy atmosphere, decent amount of seating, and great staff! Wanted to try a pastry because it looked delicious, but arrived close to closing time & the customer ahead of me snagged the last one. Maybe next time!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing coffee and great vibes! A must for coffee lovers. I had the Cortado which was perfectly balanced. The house-made roast has nutty aromas with the perfect ratio of acidity and viscosity.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in on our way to the airport to head home and had a fantastic cup of coffee and a vanilla latte. Very cozy coffee shop and the baristas were super friendly!
google avatar

Yelp
I stopped by, 15 minutes before closing time and still got a nice welcome. Very good double espresso. All packages of their beans have the roast date on them. Plenty of street parking and a lot on the side of the building. Use the navigation app of your choice, to find it the first time.
