"The breakfast sandwiches from Kinship Butcher & Sundry are iconic. You can pick from a sausage or veggie (made with beets and Carolina Gold rice) patty, bacon, all piled on top of fluffy eggs in a brioche bun from TGM Bread. The sausage patty is made from trimmings from the butchery. This bad boy will fuel you all day, especially paired with a brew from Academy Coffee housed within the space. Pick up fresh meats, local farmers market produce, flowers, and wine while waiting for your sandwich." - Lia Picard
"We can't recall any other Atlanta scenario where we perused a display case of raw meat while sipping a cappuccino, beautifully dusted with dried rose and mint powder. Somehow the whole animal butcher and coffee combo works at Kinship, a mini market in Va-Hi. And while we appreciate the option to stock our fridge with choice cuts, we really come here for the sandwiches, piled high with freshly butchered meats. Order their breakfast sandwich as a double to get sausage and bacon, which turns the fluffy egg on a soft brioche bun into a meal that'll overshadow the rest of your day. Lunch sandwiches change based on what type of meat they have on hand. Their premium cuts of meat (like the ground beef patty in the Gator Belt) taste even better in between soft bread from TGM Bread (a.k.a. the team at The General Muir), lathered with cheddar cheese, and topped with crunchy, spicy, locally made pickles. photo credit: Courtesy of Kinship Butcher & Sundry photo credit: Courtesy of Kinship Butcher & Sundry photo credit: Courtesy of Kinship Butcher & Sundry" - Juli Horsford

"Kinship, a combination butcher shop, marketplace, and cafe, opens this summer in the VA-HI building on Virginia Avenue. Co-owners Myles Moody and Rachael Pack plan to source meats, produce, and other products for Kinship as locally as possible. The market will be divided into sections, including a butcher and cheese counter, a kitchen offering take-way food, a small grocery and wine store, and coffee shop Academy Coffee, owned and run by Connan Moody (brother of Myles Moody). Refrigerated cases will display daily meats and cheeses for sale, while the kitchen will sell fresh stocks and broths, along with breakfast and lunch sandwiches throughout the day." - Beth McKibben
"The Virginia-Highland butcher and sundry shop offers hams, raw turkeys, and dry-aged rib roast for the holidays. Order here." - Eater Staff
