Los Angeles’s Best Queer Bars Celebrate Pride All Year Long | Eater LA

"In December 2024, Kiso opened in the long-closed Score space on Fourth between Spring and Main Streets. It’s part of a fresh crip of queer bars in the neighborhood by two residents who live nearby. In fact, Kiso is neighbors with some notable queer Downtown LA bars including New Jalisco Bar, Precinct, and Bar Franca. The full bar also has a dedicated margarita menu." - Rebecca Roland

The 15 Best Gay Bars In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Kiso is all business up front … and all party in back. Step inside this DTLA space and you’ll find a fairly low-key bar with a tiny platform stage. Head through the back curtain and you’ll stumble into a disco-lit lounge area with Frida Kahlo on the wall. Then head through another curtain to find a sweaty dance floor that hosts DJ sets, dance parties, and A-lister drag shows. Kiso is a fun choose-your-own-adventure bar, and just as importantly, fills a much-needed role in Downtown’s queer nightlife scene." - brant cox

They had a special for Pacifico beer which was a nice touch. Love the space and decor. It NEEDS to be advertised as a gay bar/club online. You can see the artwork as homoerotic but not too graphic, more artsy. Bar area with barstool tables and lounge area in the back. Don’t know how the music works with selection but very good. Pretty nice. Got busy after 11pm on Friday night. Way more spacious than what I have shown in the pictures.

I’m so excited for Kiso to be opening! We went for the soft opening and for the after party for the LGBT Center’s Gala, and it was a great time. There are 3 rooms with two bars and a lounge area, cute bathrooms and the decor is classy in the front, but theres a dance floor in the back for getting down! The back area has a small stage perfect for drag, DJ or a small music set. The bar tenders are cute and friendly, offering solid drinks and a selection of cocktails. It’s a gay bar, but my wife and I were welcome and other queer folk will likely call this bar their new home as well. Super safe and welcoming space. Can’t wait to go back!

Great place! Glad LA got another lgbt space.

Worst service ever. Horrible owner. It will be the same as the failed redline bar with music played with commercial ads. 1st and last time ever.
