Never tried the restaurant when it was at Trinity Groves, but decided to have an early dinner before our play at the Undermain in Deep Ellum on this Friday night. We were the first people there, yet we were seated at the worst table near the kitchen and loud speakers. And we had reservations! I blame the insufficient host. He was not friendly. He stopped by our table. I thought he wanted to see how dinner was going, but he wanted to borrow a chair...instead of taking from the 3/4 empty dining room.
The food was solid, though. Small plates seemed the most intriguing. The yellow find tuna was delicious. The main dishes were just solid, but could use some refinement. Byron, our waiter, was very nice but didn't make up for the host's faux pas. We will not be returning again. There are too many other great restaurants in the area to bother.
