Disappointed with my experience here. Service was lackluster despite it not being super crowded when we were there. The best thing we had was our appetizer- the calamari was great. However our entrees were pretty bland and almost bad? The lobster roll was super funky (maybe our fault for ordering a lobster roll in Brooklyn) and the branzino was bland. Really wanted to like this place, but maybe will come back to try their happy hour specials.

The blue point oysters were fresh when I ordered them during happy hour, but I was disappointed by their lack of variety of oysters given that they’re a seafood restaurant (they only had blue point oysters). The fried belly clams were decent, as were the fish and chips. The waiters were friendly but a bit slow.

I’ve been to the Kittery twice - once for happy hour/$1 oysters and now this time for regular dinner. I remember the first time was good but this time we ordered the crab & artichoke dip and lobster rolls, and it was not good. The chips for the dip were stale, with an odd pairing of carrots/celery for the dip. For the lobster rolls they had gotten my order wrong and gave me a Connecticut style when I asked for down east. When I tried the Connecticut style it was pretty dry and not quality. I let my server know and he got it replaced, and the down east was a bit better but for $33 it was not worth it. The prices are pretty high for what they’re offering, the only reason I added another star is the staff were nice but if you’re going here I recommend you avoid what we ordered.

Starting out by saying we only experienced the appetizers here, but for what we experienced the overall feedback is we would come back again to see what else that have to offer. There are definitely things that could have been better, but you get what you pay for. Our total for two was around 70 dollars and we left stuffed. The mussels in white wine sauce were delicious and the extra bread that was provided dipped in the sauce was glorious. We also got the crab cake which was more bready than crabby, which was expected for the price of 13 dollars. Make sure you come here for happy hour, the oysters are small but in nyc you can’t beat dollar oysters🤘🤘All in all, it was definitely a great spot, great for large groups and families.

Food was good, the octopus was great, definitely the best dish we had. We tried a bunch of apps, the tuna, brussel sprouts, clams on half shell, crab cake and the chocolate lava cake for dessert. Would go back.

5.1.2021 - pictures are from 2021, but recent dining experience remains the same. Very kind staff that’s attentive. The food is good and well prepared. The space can get crowded, but if you show up a little on the early side it’s not a problem to get a table for a midsize party. Nothing too special about the food, but a good group dining option.

Spacious seafood themed restaurant that is never too busy during happy hour. There’s a lot of outdoor seating for that glass of wine and oyster special before dinner. Recently we came in for dinner because it was too hot to cook. The lobster Cobb was generous in its pile of lobster and other garnishes. The scallops were sweet and fresh. A burger topped with lobster is also a novel way to get some crustacean in your meal.

Kittery is a seafood restaurant that specializes in Lobster, Mussels, Salmon, Shrimp, Scallops, Calamari and Fish of the day. Appetizers were, Mussels in Whit Wine Garlic Sauce, Calamari with House Special Dipping Sauce and Buffalo Wings... all was very delicious. For the Entrée had Grilled Salmon with Mash Potatoes and Asparagus. My daughter had the Clams with White Wine Sauce. Of course it was delicious, we share.

We came for Kittery's happy hour. You can't beat their $1 raw bar specials : oysters, clams, and shrimps. However, we were very disappointed with their house white and red wine. We did not expect anything top of the line for $5 a glass of wine, but both the white and red wines were terrible. We also ordered the taco special from their Tacos Tuesdays special, 3 for $15. We got the lobster taco, fried fish taco, and the carnitas taco. As a lover of tacos, Kittery's tacos missed the mark with me. They were not very tasty. We'll definitely return again but will stick to the $1 raw bar happy hour specials. I've been here a couple of times now. I like their outdoor space a lot and I will keep coming back just for the outdoors. But that Would restrict it to becoming a summer restaurant for me. The word stuff seems amenable but I don't think a lot of them speak English, as a First Language which is not a problem but I think they try and streamline the process of giving you what it is you want without making too many changes to it Both times that I've come here I have been seated immediately and given a menu quickly. Service is also fairly quick. I don't really recommend the drinks the wine is fine but I would save my money for the food. I usually get the fish when I am here and we have tried the oysters as well as The Bronzino and the Zatar tuna. I definitely recommend the latter it is delicious and very well flavored and prepared. The Bronzino is a little more simple in it's preparation but the spinach it comes with is amazing. I'll definitely be back for more food

Can't beat their happy hour prices on clams, oysters and shrimp. Happened upon this little cape cod decorate gem while walking on a Saturday. Perused their menu and saw they offered 1.00 clams, oysters and shrimp. The regions listed for the seafood were familiar so I gave them a try. On this visit I didn't order much outside of what I mentioned above. All items came out fast. Clams were littleneck. Briny and bitesize. If you're a clam lover, you'll want 12 of these. The oyster were James River. Those not familiar, that's VA. They were small in size but, deep/meaty on the inside. They were good as well. You may want to order more of these as well. Also on this visit I had the shrimp cocktail. It's your average cold shrimp cocktail. Size of shrimp was L/XL. Outside of the seafood, I had a somewhat underwhelming beer. It was Modelo on tap. I thought it would be much crisper but, it wasn't. Maybe it was the end of the keg? I did not look at any other items on the menu as I was more focused on the seafood task at hand and sips. I did notice they had a nice taco tuesday menu. At any rate, I'd probably stop in again for exactly what I stated above...minus the beer. Next time it's can/bottle! SYOY!

A few Sunday's ago my party of 4 was looking for a place to watch The Jets game around Smith Street. I've walked by Kittery of Brooklyn a million times but have never stopped in. It was a long shot but we stopped in anyways and they had the game on! They were able to accommodate and sit us at a table with a view of the TV. They were having a special event and most of the restaurant was rented out. That didn't stop KOB from providing excellent service. I had the clam chowder and salmon burger and they were both incredible. Although I forgot to take pictures, the presentation was beautiful. Very much looking forward to coming back for dinner as their lunch menu didn't highlight everything they do! Thanks for a great meal and for letting us watch The Jets game!

Are you guys for f-ing real? Look at this 4 inch lobster roll for $33! THIRTY THREE DOLLARS. The plate is 70% salad. This place used to be good but now it's obvious why they're always half empty. Do yourself a favor and walk 3 avenues to Little Neck - better food, better prices, far less greedy management.

This review is specific to brunch at Kittery. Kittery is my favorite brunch spot in the neighborhood! I don't understand why it's not packed and impossible to walk into since it really is the perfect spot: warm and attentive service, excellent food, and $1 oysters, clams and shrimp happy hour raw bar specials even on weekends for brunch! (Vs. another old time favorite I used to go to as my regular that charges $3.50 an oyster during brunch). They have a large, comfortable outdoor area which is partially covered and now that it's getting cold, they've enclosed it so you can still eat there or inside. I've sat in both areas and both are great. Inside is nicely renovated, tasteful decor. My boozy brunch order includes 2 Aperol Spritzes, classic eggs Benedict which comes with 2 sides so I get fries (Kittery fries or regular) and salad but of course I also start with 3 oysters from the raw bar! Voila! What more can you want in a brunch?

I can't believe there are still $1 oyster happy hour in 2023. What a find in Brooklyn! It was fresh and delicious and the $1shrimps were also very good. Paired with $5 doghead fish draft beer and $6 red house wine. Surprisingly for the house red was really good and smooth. Service was attentive and the servers were upbeat. Came before Thanksgiving day and the restaurant wasn't very busy but I'll be back for more oysters and to try out other items on the menu.

Not sure why the ratings were so low. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Happy hour every day even on weekends. $1 clams, $1 oysters, $1 cocktail shrimps. Had the margarita and it was delicious. Perfect for weekend brunch and or just any random seafood craving days. My entree was the fish and chips (got house chips instead of fries). SO GOOD. WILL DEFINITELY GET THIS AGAIN my friends also loved the crab cake benedict!

Used to be good-it's a mess now. Never get orders correct, over salted-sad. I'd stay away

We were in 2 minds about coming here because of the bad reviews, but so glad we did. Lots of lobster in the lobster roll and then we got the mussels in spicy tomato broth, the broth was so so delicious and mussels were fresh. Service was really good and very attentive. Loved the Maine/ocean theme.

Great spot! We stopped in for happy hour and had a few drinks and oysters. The service was friendly and fast, the restaurant itself is super cute and vary spacious, not one of those tiny cramped nyc restaurants. Great experience here!

The place has a nice outdoor setup and has a pretty casual look inside. The drinks were just ok. I got the lobster roll and the lobster was very overcooked. The tater tots were perfect though. The crab cake sandwich was fine but the bread was a bit too dense for the sandwich. The raw oysters were not very flavorful or meaty. The service was fast and friendly.

A spot you'd pass by once or twice while passing through Carol Gardens. It's certainly distinct and you'll remember it because it's on a corner and it has an interesting out-door dining space. Super huge positive: the staff is super quick with the food, the refilling of drinks, etc. It's a seafood spot so it's a little pricy. Ordered (please see photos below): New England Clam Chowder ($9) -- boo! It tasted like it came out of a can. Not worth the money. Fish & Chips ~$20 -- not bad... The cod fish tasted decent. The fries were crispy. My only grip was the 3 cod fish they gave you were somewhat small portions :( I'm a big eater and wish they had more. Point Judith Calimari ($20) appetizer. My goodness that was so good--but super expensive :( I'm giving the spot an average grading. It did it's part as a seafood restaurant. However, I just didn't think the price was worth it for all items--more so that Chowder--would totally skip it. A big downside: The outdoor table closest to the entrance (where we were sitting) had issues with balance. I hate it when there is a table on an incline. Overall the restaurant gets an C (which is passing for me).

Expensive and kinda disappointed with the meal. I recently went here with some family and friends. I ordered the surf and turf burger. The burger was very dry and honestly pretty unenjoyable. I may be biased because i usually do go to the kittery maine area and the lobster there is delicious, but this place sadly did not compare. The outdoor area was nice and the service was good. Location is great, food is just pretty unenjoyable.

Nice happy hour here! 1$ fresh oysters and cocktail shrimp. Discounted drafts and house wine. I love the nautical theme all throughout the restaurant! Made me feel like I was in a seaside restaurant somewhere off the coast. And it doesn't stop there! The appetizers were good, savory and hearty. We got the calamari and artichoke crab dip. At this point we were honestly pretty fully especially after the happy hour but went ahead and got entrees. The seared scallops were a nice lighter option with green beans and mashed cauliflower. While my bf got the seafood stew. This was huge! Filled with lots of shrimp, fish, calamari, mussels and much more. All in a delicious tomato based broth, served with toast. Definitely could be split between two people. I'll be back to try more entrees!

Food was delicious; service was good and nice ambiance!! Prices are reasonable. I went with a group of friends and we had a great time.

I've passed by this place dozens of times and decided to stop in one dreary Saturday to treat myself. Ordered: Bloody Mary - decent flavor but not spicy, even when I asked for extra hot sauce Lobster Roll - good flavor but a little chewy Kittery Fries - delicious Service: Prompt and efficient. Sat outside which was fully covered and comfortable, even with poor weather. Covid standards were kept up well. One very positive note: they played *classic* early 2000s pop music videos which was absolutely delightful. Overall this place was fine but with a high price tag and only decent food I'll likely be looking to get my seafood fix elsewhere next time.

Let me start with the decor!! 1000/10 I absolutely beautiful, the outside patio is sooo cute and cozy:) One of the best grilled octopus I've ever had definitely coming back!! Service is excellent.

Went to the Kittery for Sunday brunch and it was great! They have a live jazz band every Sunday which made it a fun atmosphere but still chill The artichoke and crab dip was delicious and the homemade chips were great too- just a tad bit too salty. My friend said the lobster cobb salad was soo good. I thought the lobster roll was good but definitely needed more seasoning and the bread in the roll felt a tiny bit stale, but may have just been more toasted then I normally like. The old bay fries were great. Pro tip: dip them in the crab dip Great vibe and good food! Kinda felt like we left Brooklyn for a while it was cute.

My Husband and I always enjoy having brunch at The Kittery. The staff is wonderful and the food is always delicious. I had the Avocado Toast last time and I must say it's my favorite place to have Avocado Toast in this City. There are several combinations to choose from but I love it with Burrata Cheese. It literally melts in your mouth. My husband had the Huevos Rancheros. It was served on a crispy Tortilla that included Salsa, Black Beans and Chorizo. He said it was absolutely delicious. They have a nice wine list and usually have brunch drink specials. I had a Bellini and my husband had a Bloody Mary. My compliments to the bartender! I want to thank Jamie, Raquel and Herbert for giving us a wonderful dining experience. We love coming here not only for the food but the excellent service. They are are always attentive and welcoming. They make everyone feel special. By the way, we love the nautical atmosphere. They have a nice outdoor space as well. We look forward to going back!

Dollar Oysters, Dollar Shrimp Cocktail, Dollar Clams. Happy hour till 7pm everyday except monday when it's happy hour ALL DAY. Why wouldn't you come here? The grilled cheese with tots kid's meal was also perfect. Deducted a star for slowish service. The last time I had clams here, they were pretty fishy so personally I will be staying away from raw clams. However, everything else was great. Will definitely be returning.

Honestly 3 stars. Great ambiance outside. Smelly inside. Mediocre food. Tried the oysters and cocktail shrimp at happy hour along with the artichoke crab dip and lobster rolls (Connecticut style) with mashed potatoes and all were passable at best. Oysters were a little gritty, shrimp were small, artichoke crab dip had a few tiny shell pieces, the mashed potatoes tasted like powdered mashed from a box without much seasoning, and the lobster tasted fine but wasn't tender - instead was slightly tough/chewy/likely reheated. Sorry to say but I won't be returning :/

Stumbled upon this place after walking around trying to find somewhere for lunch since our first choice didn't offer indoor seating and it was wet out. The outdoor setup is nice. Appropriately distanced with barriers between tables. +1 star FOOD: I wasn't really that hungry so I ordered two appetizers: calamari and the ahi crudo. the calamari was your basic calamari. it came with an aioli that kind of tasted like tartar sauce. one plus for me was that it came with the legs. my favorite part. the ahi crudo was pretty sad. it came with thinly sliced, gray looking pieces of ahi. however, the flavor was what saved it. it was served on mashed avocado, cucumbers and tomatoes. it was tasty, but it didn't look so great. tbh not worth the price. Service was decent. They were playing superbowl halftime shows via youtube on the tv so that was fun. I'll +1 star for that.

Great service, lovely outdoor area, and top notch sea food! Would love to go back and try more from the menu-tons of great options.

Kittery is a great warm-weather spot. Sitting in their front patio surrounded by the bustle of the neighborhood reminds me of being on vacation somewhere far more tropical. The food is decent too, especially given the fact that happy hour specials are available 7 days a week. $5 draft beer, and $1 oysters on the half shell, clams, and cocktail shrimp. We tried the oysters and clams, in addition to the fried shrimp off the regular menu. I'll probably pass on the clams next time, but the Blue Point oysters tasted fresh and were served at the proper temperature. Really enjoyed the fried shrimp too. I'm looking forward to several future visits to Kittery while outdoor seating in the northeast can still be taken advantage of.

Came here for some after-work drinks and apps with a friend. We were seated immediately and opted to sit outside since the weather was beautiful. We went with a dozen oysters and a dozen clams, all of which were at a $1 each. I do love a good oyster happy hour and this is one of the best values and quality that I've found in Brooklyn. The happy hour wine was okay. The Pinot Grigio was a little too sweet for me, so I chose the Chardonnay for my second glass which was much better in my opinion. The service was attentive too. No complaints here.

It's been six years since Kittery opened over here, and in that time it's become a go-to for certain things. Namely: 1. Fried shrimp. Sometimes you just want some fried shrimp, and nothing else will do. These are fresh, crisp, and perfect. It's listed under the starters, but it's a meal with excellent fries included. 2. The outdoor seating is the best in the neighborhood. It's tough to beat on a sunny day, and it truly feels like Vacationland over here. 3. Happy hour. Drink specials, dollar oysters, it's all good. 4. Seafood in general. The Lobster Club is indulgent and excellent. Never sad about it, and never sad about tater tots that come along with it. The clam chowder is the real deal. The day boat cod sandwich is a winner. The crab dip, and the artichoke and crab dip...both great to share. Seafood and sunshine and happiness, that's basically why I come to Kittery. Sometimes burrata. (As a general note, I feel like I should tell you something you should already know: everything will be better in house. Most food suffers in transit, but raw seafood and fried things especially.)

Lobster roll was tiny and tasteless and tough! Ordered a mango salad expecting a normal salad topped with a few pieces of mango , instead it was cups of mango topped with a few pieces of greens ! Totally disappointed

I stopped in at 5pm on a Friday for happy hour and fell in love. HH starts at 5 and ends at 7pm. They offer $1 oysters, clams, and shrimp, $4 draft beers, and $5 wine. I walked in and staff was super friendly. I felt like I was really in Maine. Kitty Of Brooklyn was pretty empty except for three tables that were occupied at 5pm. I loved their decor! The coastal vibe really gets you in the mood to eat oysters and drink wine. My bf and I ordered oysters, shrimp, the crab & artichoke dip, beers, and of course white wine. Oysters and shrimp were super fresh, the dip was creamy and filled with lumps of crab, and the house white wine was crisp and perfect! We came to test out the water and Kittery Of Brooklyn exceeded all of my expectations. I'll be back soon!

Just fell into this spot walking around the beautiful Carol Gardens. The menu looked diverse and prices were moderate and there was a beautiful outdoor dining area. Muscles in spicy red sauce were very good. Meaty muscles and great dipping bread slices. The sauce wasn't spicy though. Seafood stew- amazing array of seafood. Same sauce as the muscles so it was a bit redundant for me. - - lobster roll was very good so I heard from my friend Decent service. An easier place to get to if you live in the area. Parking is hard to come by

Came around brunch time with mom on a Sunday. I really liked that there were barriers to divide the tables. The vibes were great. The service was excellent. The food and drinks were superb! I had the Captain Swizzle (v refreshing) and crab cake benedict - crab cakes were tasty! Mom had the Sauvignon blanc and lobster roll - she enjoyed it and the lobster was meaty and cooked perfectly! Overall, very great experience and would recommend :)

I really enjoyed the numerous options for outdoor seating and their menu especially if you're in the mood for seafood. They have Monday and Tuesday happy hour $1 menu items :) like the shrimp cocktails and oysters! I love how they have virgin mojitos because I love mojitos but when I can't have alcohol at least I can still have virgin ones at this place! I think their clam chowder is saltier to me but their lobster roll is delicious and the size of the meals is huge which explains the price. Overall, I'm coming back and appreciate the covid-19 safety guidelines being followed.

Been to this restaurant twice in the past month and had to share my experiences here. During times of covid it's hard to find restaurants with outdoor seating that are sufficiently heated during these cold winter months. Kittery has lovely outdoor seating, people are spread out, and heating lamps keep one warm during meals. Food is delicious and the seafood here is fresh. I don't normally have seafood but really enjoyed it here. The shrimp, fish and chips, and the oysters were fresh. While not seafood, I highly recommend the crispy chicken sandwich. Great atmosphere and staff friendly and adhere to covid safety guidelines. Highly recommend.

Food was good. The service was pretty subpar. Our server was not very friendly and after forgetting to put in our appetizer, he was pretty nonchalant about us sitting for 45 mins without food. Probably would not return.

Happened upon this place and was instantly sold by the charming outdoor seating. My party of four was seated almost immediately (and this was around 730-8pm on a Friday). Unfortunately, the table we got was on a slope but I guess it couldn't be helped. We were just trying to kill some time before Lucali's so we didn't order too much. We got two drinks and two starters. Drinks are usually quick but they came after the starters, which also took awhile. Instead of the mojito and margarita that we ordered, they gave us two margaritas, but my friend was fine with it so we didn't say anything. The mango margarita looked good but the strawberry margarita had pieces of smushed strawberries in it - don't think the mortar and pestle were a good idea. For starters we went with Calamari and artichoke and crab meat dip (with chips, carrot and celery). I loved the dip but my friends thought the cheese was off. The chips were so delicious and tasted great alone. The calamari was splendid too. We saw some other people's entrees and decided that we should come back another day for happy hour. We'd love to get the $1 oysters and lobster roll! TLDR; seemed like there were always a few available tables, service is a little slow and Waitress got our order wrong but food is bomb. Will definitely come back for more.

We decided to stop by for some oysters here but after looking at the menu, we had to try some of their other dishes. We went with some fries, clam pasta, and some lobster Mac. The fries were crispy and nicely seasoned with the right amount of thickness to them. The clams were very fresh and they provided us with generous portions. This goes for the lobster Mac as well which I think was the star of the show aside from the fresh oysters. I expected a typical macaroni noodle but instead I got a more wide tubular pasta which I think actually works better for the consistency of the sauce that it was mixed in. The lobster flavor was nicely incorporated into the sauce and I loved the additional crispy texture that it had. Definitely try out the lobster Mac while you're here. The outdoor seating was quite elegant with a rustic feel to it which I like. Good for dates as well as casual events. I'll definitely be returning!

Kittery has been a mainstay of Carroll Gardens and I'm pretty pleased they've been surviving during the COVID times. They always had outdoor space, so putting it together the way they have to accommodate social distancing is spot on and efficient. Little things like use of plexiglass like barriers between tables allows them to be close, but distanced physically - A+! As a result of this smart seating, you don't have to really wait even on these beautiful fall days/eves. Service is quick, but friendly and this is a double bonus when you have your kiddos with you. It's also nice that they have a generous kids menu of the regular fare (and no upcharge for things like tater tots - that are KILLER). The adult food has been consistent and overall yummy. If you're into seafood, I've been told their oysters are great (I'm allergic). The lobster roll is also quite excellent, and decadent. My go-to lately has been their "classic burger." It comes with fries (or tots or even onion rings!!) and is seasoned well, appropriately sized and perfect on the brioche bun. Mac and cheese doubles as a "homey" option too if you're feeling that vibe (great for kids too - with lots of leftovers). This year, they've added an "ice cream station" at the street entrance and gone in full with the New England theme by procuring Gifford's ice cream. It was the right move as the flavors (like Lobster tracks - no actual lobster) are amazing and rival some of the big local ice cream shops. Our kids even think it's in the top 3! Elite Tip: Get 3 scoops of ice cream for $8 and 4 spoons for a family friendly ending treat.

Huge pass on this place, although if I'm being completely honest I'll probably go back because it's incredibly convenient off the F and has happy hour 7 days a week (5-7 usually and all night on Monday) with $5 wines, $4 drafts, and dollar oysters/clams/shrimp. It also has a decent outdoor space with (usually) a fair amount of available seating. With that said, I have regularly suffered through some of THE worst service I have ever experienced here. It's hard to find exactly where to place the blame - is it possible that management sought out the dozen-ish worst servers on the face of the planet and was able to hire them all? Or is the laughable service a result of poor training? One thing is for certain - I would advise all of the employees to not quit their day jobs, unless, of course, working here IS the day job, in which case...definitely, definitely quit. I'm sure you're good at something, sweetie. This is not it. Specifically, the first time I was here, it took about 30 minutes for my friend and me to get our drinks despite it being ~5 pm and them being overstaffed in preparation for the dinner rush. It took so long, in fact, that I mentioned something to the server (something I never do) and her response was something along the lines of "oh, the bartender has been doing this all day" with an eye roll. Doing WHAT, pray tell? As it appears, nothing. Later on, I ordered a side of fries, a request that was acknowledged with a nod, but they never came. Cocktails are delicious, but a sugary mess. All in all, will probably return because I'm a big ol' sucker for happy hour and outdoor seating, but word to the wise (and that's a generous assumption): fire your entire staff and never look back.

Waiting staff was great. Super friendly. Accommodating with our request to substitution for some of the sides. They made a nice gesture by giving us a 25% discount because we waited a long time. The food was completely off. Scallops were dry, over salted and over cooked. Asparagus were over cooked. Green beans undercooked. Coke slaw so salty it was uneatable. Cauliflower puree was the only good thing but I got maybe two spoon full of it. We are heading home and all are still hungry.

This place was fantastic. I've had both dinner and brunch here. The food was so delicious and fresh. Great, friendly service. Love the cocktail menu and the raw bar!

The host assured me it wasn't where the garbage was but the flies said otherwise. Oh, and that host, never greeted us. I went inside to get her. Anyway, the prices went up of course but the quality didn't. It gave me diner vibes. I think I'm done with Kittery.

What a bummer. I have been to Kittery many times and as a New England boy I find comfort there. Not today. The beer was flat oysters looked questionable and were shucked by someone who's never seen an oyster before. They were mangled. The bun in the lobster roll was stale and was flavored with some kind of anise. The salad was rotten. I've never been more disappointed. This might be the only yelp review I have ever written, I don't know what's going on over there right now, but the quality of their food has gone way down. I hope the owner comes back from vacation soon. The waitresses did a fine job and I paid my bill and tipped 20%. I'm never going there again and this is saying something because this is one of my go to places. I'm hoping I don't get food poisoning from bad oysters. I'm so pissed. What a wicked Pissa!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a very unexpected enjoyable dinner here with my man. He wanted lobster rolls so we went to another place first which is FAMOUS for their lobster rolls.. was told upon arrival that because my man only had ONE dose of vaccine.. we weren't allowed to dine in. SOOOO.. their loss As we were driving away I literally spotted a HUGE LOBSTER drawn into the side of this restaurant. We park and ask if we need a reservation as it's a Friday night. Friendly staff says nope! Come on in. We arrive 5 minutes later and are greeted immediately and sat wherever we want. I provide our vaccine cards with ID and this is ENOUGH.. as it SHOULD BE. It's cozy and intimate. Candles and real flowers on out table. Service is fast, waiter comes and gives us menus. We order drinks- they arrive fast, correct, and STRONG. My man orders his lobster roll and fries, I order a crab cake with salad. Everything is delicious. He says lobster is just what it should be ( idk I don't eat lobster) and my crab cake was delicious. Even my side salad was dressed beautifully.. Overall satisfied and made for a really nice quiet date night for 2 tired parents of a newborn. Thank You! If I could give 10 starts, I would. From the food to the service, everything was simply amazing. Starter: Shishito Peppers. I would say it needs a sprinkle of salt but, to be honest, once you squeeze the lemon in it, it's AMAZING! Starter: New England Clam Chowder. The favors are A1 on point, it just needs to be a little thicker Meal: Mussels in Spicy Tomato Broth. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. And the garlic toast made it even more amazing Meal: Lobster Roll w/ Butter. Very delicious but a little dry. Dipped it in the mussel broth and OMG absolute perfection. Service: 11/10 stars. Every person here is friendly, helpful, and kind. I will definitely be coming here more often for my Saturday brunch

WHAT HAPPENED?!?!?! First off, I left a review for this place in 2016 with 5 stars and nothing but kind words! This WAS in my top 5 restaurants in NYC. No joke. Until last night, that is. Ok...let's do this... I surprised my girlfriend with dinner here last night (because we liked it so much in the past). There were four of us. We were sat next to a table of about 8 people crammed into a booth meant for 4. They were loud and annoying as hell, and were obviously friends with our "server". Every time she went over to them (which was every 5 minutes), she took her mask off, joked and laughed with them, and (my personal favorite) would lean up against their booth for 5 minutes straight, doing NOTHING, while we clearly needed service! THAT table...got great service. Surprise surprise. We were seated almost exactly at 7pm. By 7:10pm, no one had come to ask us for our drink order. Nothing. Finally around 7:15pm our server came over. We ordered two beers, a sangria, a glass of wine, and a calamari for a starter. 7:20pm, nothing. 7:30pm we got the two beers and figured we'd better put in our food order so we did. About 7:40pm the wine and sangria finally came. Almost half an hour after we ordered them. 7:45pm, still no calamari. Our server was at her friends' table, talking and doing nothing. I motioned to her, she came over, and I asked about our calamari. "Calamari? I...you...let me check for you." She had clearly forgotten it. About 5 minutes later it came out piping hot. It had obviously just been made. Meanwhile her fav table had gotten about 4 food/desserts/drinks in that time. Keep in mind, We ordered our calamari at 7:15pm, and got it at 7:50pm. We FINALLY got our food around 8:15pmish. Over an HOUR after we were sat. Come the fuck on!!!! If our server had been hustling and working hard, I wouldn't have had shit to say. She wasn't. Needless to say it pretty much ruined the dinner, and we're NEVER coming back here again. I don't know if it's new management, new owner, new staff, or what. But no. Just no. Go somewhere else. They have officially lost it!

Not sure why this place has lower ratings. They have a great ourdoor dining space, great food and drink selections (bottled beer not on menu). Legit lobster and great attentive service and clean!
